Video freezes DURING recording

Hello out there,
I need help! This has happened multiple times and I'm getting sick of it, especially when I really want it to work for a particular occasion.  WHILE I am recording a video through the standard Apple camera app, the phone will just freeze, interrupt and then stop my video recording, and it's getting really annoying.  Does anyone else experience this or have any ideas on a solution?
I have an iPhone 6 Plus, 128gb, current iOS software.
Thank you,
Chelsie

Sorry, but update to v5.0638.3.0.1_18-09-06_RM-84 didn't solve this problem!!! My old firmware (3.0546.2.3) works ok (it was the latest fw with correct video capture), my colleague with this old firmware works still ok!! I had my N70 in Nokia service center, but after return, the problem is still here. They said it's normal, but i think it's not normal. On fw 3.0546.2.3 video capture was super, fast, without noisying sounds. Now with 5.0638.3.0.1 it's not possible to normally capture the video on mp4!!!!! The sound is noising, refresh during capture is too slow...
Mo colleague didn't make fw update and his phone works on videocapture still perfect (he has old 3.0546.2.3).
PLEASE, HELP ME, HOW CAN I DOWNGRADE THE FIRMWARE ???????????

  • How do I stop video freezing during export?

Video freezes during export to DV camera from imovie HD. Tried updating OS to combined version for 10.3.9. Installed latest updater for imovie 5 with no difference. Can anyone suggest any other solutions?

    Chris,
I found a solution to the freezing problem in one of the answers to another problem here on the discussion forum.
It solved my problem and it might be helpful to you.
Convert your iMovie video into a QT film with the same quality (I have a dutch version of iMovie HD, so I don't know the exact menu-wording. Something like >Slect>share).
Import this QT film into a NEW iMovie project.
    Then export to your camcorder.
It took my Mac almost 11/2 hour to convert the video to QT (55minutes movie).
But in the end, it worked.
I'm no expert, but I think it has to do with the mutilations caused by adding titles, cutting, audio additions etc. which are imparted on the document.
The original video that frooze was 17.1 GB. The successful copy only 13.6GB.
    Good luck

  • Video freezes when recording

video freezes and stops recording causing me to miss many important moments.  I have to close the app and reopen before starting up recording again.  Has anyone else had this issue and is there a fix?  It started a few weeks ago when every time I hit the red record button, the app would close.  i ended up recording that day in slow mo because  I couldn't get the regular video to work at all.  Now it has happened 4 different times that I'll be recording and the screen either goes gray or just freezes and I have to close out the app and go back in to start recording again.  Help!

My problem was caused by my manual editing of the smtube.ini file.

  • Video Freeze during PBack

I am getting video and/or audio freezes during PTT; running FCP 7, Dolce 8 TB raid array, 32 GB RAM, dual 2.66 6-core proc.  Somethime these freezes are repeatable, occuring at the same place on multiple attempts to play.  Others seem random and occur at various places on the timeline, sometimes when video is only one layer deep.  I have 8 channels of audio, but did mixdown prior to PTT.

If so, time to start isolating elements.
Move the file off of the RAID, disconnect the RAID and try to PTT using another internal drive. (I'm assuming you have a MacPro if you are running a Kona.)
    Does it work?
If so, the RAID may be the issue.

  • IDVD unexpectedly quits and/or video freezes during burn

Please help! I'm going crazy trying to get a completed video project burned onto DVD. I have three video programs (one is a slide show), all created in Final Cut Pro and saved as either Final Cut Quicktimes or Quicktime movies using H264 compressor. The programs are imported into iDVD 4.0.1 (they cumulatively amount to less than one hour). Two different things are happening. Sometimes, iDVD churns for 16 hours, spits out the DVD, and says it unexpectedly quit. The DVD plays, but the slide show program freezes about 3/4 into (audio continues but video freezes). Other times, iDVD churns for hours and hours, only to quit and spit out a blank DVD.
This has never happened in the past. I've never before had trouble burning DVDs. The only change I recently made was this: I changed the name and password of the administrative account user. Also, this computer was iSync'd with another mac and about a week ago, all my preferences disappeared and programs opened as if for the first time (although nothing on the hard drive was lost).
Here's what I've tried: MacSweeper (although it has authenticaltion problems - I authenticate and then everytime I try to run it, it says it's not authenticated, so I can't tell if it's working), MacJanitor, I've checked all the preference settings and nothing comes up in error. I've also tried the Easter Egg approach and I got the same result (freeze 3/4 through).
    Here's what I have: iMac G4, 800 MHz CPU, 1 GB memory, OS X (10.4.2), iDVD 4.0.1.
The slide show program is the only one messing up on the burned discs. Do you think it has anything to do with the new H264 compressor (in the past I've never used that, and the other two programs - which are fine on the DVD - are Final Cut Quicktimes).
Help me please - before I do something violent to this computer!!! Thanks for any advice.
    Shannon

Thanks for your suggestions, David. My remaining issues are these, and anyone with ideas is welcome to chime in here:
First, I've never encountered this problem in the past, even with the same amount of available disc space. It seems like the Tiger upgrade is what's causing the problem, but so far it's been impossible to isolate. Has anyone heard anything about this or found a permanent solution?
On that same note, I understand what you're saying about an external drive. I don't have one, and it seems superfluous that I should need to spend money on one when this process worked fine a year ago. But I guess I'll try it if nothing else works better.
Second, fortunately, I wised up to the Disk Copy solution to make back-up copies of my ONE usable DVD. But I'm extremely concerned that I will encounter this same problem the next time I need to burn from iDVD. I have no idea why this one disc worked and all my other attempts failed. There must be something identifiable going on in all these similar cases, and it doesn't make sense to me that the permanent solution lies in somehow working AROUND iDVD instead of through it. And I guess I won't spend the money to upgrade to iLife '05 if the possibility exists that this problem will persist.
So there are my lingering concerns and frustrations. For now, I'm walking away from this project with exactly ONE useful DVD produced from iDVD out of approximately 20 attempts. Something's wrong with this picture. Ugh!

  • My video freezes during chat

i have a .mac login and the person i'm chatting with is on an ibook g3 733 with an aim account. we successfully chatted last night. everytime i try to chat today, when i accept the chat or when the chat is accepted my video freezes but the incoming video is fine and both mics still work.

Try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

  • IMovie video freezes during playback; transitions not working

I'm nearing the end of making a video in iMovie. I have several clips, transitions, and music added. On some spots, the video playback stops, while the music continues; one or two clips later the video picks up again. I've deleted that section of video and re-inserted a similar clip only to have the same problem. Additionally, the transition into that particular clip doesn't work. When i play the raw video clip, it works just fine. I don't understand. Someone have a clue what's going on?

You might be able to narrow down which item is causing the problem and deleting it. First create a duplicate project:
Click the Project Library button and highlight the name of your project by click on it just once so that it will be colored in blue.
Go to File Menu > Duplicate Project, iMovie will create a duplicate with a number added to the end of the name
Open the Duplicate project and try deleting a picture, or transition or video clip where the video freezes or even just before the point where it freezes.
Playback the movie and see if it reacts differently.
Just try one thing at time and you might discover it's one item in the Project timeline that's causing the problem. Once you find the source of the problem, you can try replacing it or just leave it out until you finish the project and export it. Sometimes it's difficult to figure out how something got corrupted and subsequently how to ressurect it.

  • Capture of Video Freezing while Recording (CS3 & CS4)

I was having this problem when I was running Premiere Pro CS3 and I'm still having it while I'm running CS4.
I press F5 to bring up the capture window and I can clearly see the contents of my Xbox 360 being projected onto my screen in the little video (preview?) window. I press "Record" and it will begin recording my play. At any random point, however, the image will freeze, the time elapsed will stop, and the remaining disk space time clock will show 5000+ hours. After I press "Stop" it'll ask if I would like to save the file, like normal, and the image will begin moving again waiting to record the next clip. During the time between the image freezing and me pressing "stop", nothing is recorded.
I use the Blackmagic Intensity capture card in my computer. I know that it works because of the partials that I get from this problem. And the times in which it happens is random. Sometimes it will record for 00:00:01:07 and other times it'll record for 00:02:03:29 and any time between that. The stuff it records is great so I would really like to fix this problem.
What is going on and how might I be able to correct this problem? Can anyone help me? Thank you in advance!

  • Help with timecode and video freeze during Print to Video

This has happened twice in last couple months. Timeline is usually around 22 - 23 minutes. At some point during playback to HDV deck using Print to Video via FireWire, the timecode freezes and so does the video for approx. 2-3 seconds, then resumes on 2-3 seconds later in the timeline. Everything is still in perfect sync. Playing back the timeline on computer reveals nothing. Please, does anyone have any suggestions at all??

You should be mixing down the audio before you record to tape, try that if you haven't done it first...
If that fails, export a self contained QuickTime movie, then see if it doesn't print to video or edit to tape better.
Use the fastest drive you have for the QT movie's playback, and it should be something other than your startup disk.

  • Video freezes during playback--audio is fine

I recently recorded a 3 minute broadcast using VC3 on a new Dell (Vista) laptop. I was able to review the broadcast and everything seemed fine. After publishing, however, the final video now freezes at 25 seconds. The audio continues to play, but the video does not. I opened the VC project and the same thing now happens there (freezes at 25 seconds). There are no transitions or changes at the 25 second mark in the project, so I'm not sure why it happened. I've tried to publish again as a different file type, but nothing changed. I have done a few other projects that were the same length or longer on this same computer and have not had any issues. I'm looking for a way to fix this problem without redoing the project. Is there a way to? Or is there a way to get the raw video feed from wherever it is on the computer and drop it into another project?
    Thanks!

    Thanks Randy,
Yes, I have captured in DV, down-convert from HDV. The image, for the most part, plays on the external monitor, but occasionally freezes...while it continues to play on the computer monitor. this problem is getting worse over time. I've been trough all the usual suspects from overlapping windows & timelines through trashing FCP preferences and repairing permissions on the hard drive. I've even reinstalled my OSX Tiger and Final Cut (twice actually as at one point I lost my boot drive & had to replace it) I have two different decks, and it doesn't matter which deck the firewire goes to, the monitor freeze happens with either one. ( I have no problems capturing, by the way) Since this is the second HDV project I have had on this equipment and did not have this problem on the other project, I am beginning to wonder if this might be a hardware problem.
    Any ideas??

  • VC3 Video Freezes During Video Effects

I can use the same video effect numerious times in the same project, but sometimes during playback (review and publish) the "A" video will freeze when the transition starts, then after the effect is over video "B" plays normally.
I've tried different effects, deleted the action and tried recreating it but everytime the same action freezes no matter what effect is selected.

Have you checked to see if there's an updated driver for your webcam from Asus?
Do the specs on your built in webcam say it's supposed to do HD?
Any chance you may have or be able to borrow an external USB webcam to plug in to a USB port and try as a troubleshooting step?
The symptoms you're experiencing seem strange and I'm trying to come up with a way to pin down where the problem actually lies.

  • Video Freezing During Playback with X1

For the past 16 to 24 hours or so, I tried to watch several different shows on my TV using the OnDemand menu on my X1 box, the TV Remote app on my iPad or via the xfinitytv.comcast.net website, and the shows keep freezing within the first 10 minutes of play, and then one or more times during the remainder of the program.  These freezes last from 5 minutes to over 20 minutes ( I am currently expereinceing one right now during the playback of Masters of Sex).  I have paused, exited and returned, rebooted, unplygged etc. Coincidentally, this entire week I have been experiencing intermittent internet outages as well.  Not sure if they are related, but it is very frustrating when I am on a conference call or webex, and my phone and desktop drops from the meeting, especially when I am the host! I have not had this issue before, and am thinking this is a capacity issues, since its is a holiday weekend and many folks are trying to do playback, and its just not enough bandwith? I did not have this issue before when I was not on the X1 platform.   Please advise, as there are no reported outages in my area.

After reviewing your account I was able to see that currently there is an area issue reported for you. From the information it should be resolve by tomorrow morning. If you continue to have issues beyond this, let us know. We might need to check a few extra things to identity the problem. -FC

  • N958GB - video pauses during recording

    Hello,
I just got my new N958GB last week. I played with the camera and recorded video with no problems. I then went ahead and installed applications, such as yahoo go, youtube, and setup my e-mail. After this was completed, I went ahead and recorded video and noticed that every 3-5 seconds the video recorder will pause. The red light in the front that indicates the recorder is working also turns off when the pauses occur. I then called Nokia and I was advised to return for a replacement which I have done. I then continued troubleshooting, searching the web for other users with the same issue and this seems to be happening to alot of users. There is a fix to this problem, but I don't consider this a fix. Its just a temporary fix, and there's 2 ways. 1. When recording a video choose phone memory instead of mass memory. This will record video without pasues, but your time is limited to the amoutn of memory you have. 2. You can format your mass memory, but you'll loose data, so you have to perform a back up. After formatting your mass memory, you can record video without the pauses. However, after your first video either deleted or saved, the second video and on that you will record will have the pausing problem again. So you'll have to format the mass memory again to be able to record longer video.
In addition, the Nokia Software Update doesn' recognize the phone. I've done the reinstall as advised, and the phone is still not recognized. Is there a difference with N958GB-US and N958GB-UK? The Nokia PC Suite works fine.

Have you installed any applications to your n95-4 (n958GB) phone, and installed it to either phone or mass memory? The problem only starts occuring after installing applications to phone or mass memory.
I am not sure if the issue starts after an application is isntalled on phone memory or mass memory.
I have duplicated this issue and IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE N95-4. I duplicated the issue on 2 NOKIA N95-4's. If you install an application, lets say for example youtube for mobile and Yahoo GO on phone memory; the video recording will start to pause every 3 or 5 seconds. This only happens when mass memory is used.
The pausing will not occur if you switch to phone memory. There is no fix and I hope nokia is aware of this problem and hopefully they are working on a fix. I hope the next firmware update will include the fix.

  • Video freezes during call

    Hi,
Hoping you can help. I have a fairly new computer, with plenty of space on it (Windows 7m core i7, 4gb) and live in japan with superfast unlimited fibre optic, i think about 300mbs/second- or something like that.
When I make calls to other people, the video works for a little while (Sometimes 5 mins, sometimes 30mins) but sooner or later it ends up freezing on their end (I can see fine).  I have this problem with more than one skyper user, so I assume the problem is on my end.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing skype, but it still does freezes on the other person's end. Receiving video is fine on my end though, and other aspects of call quality are good.
Any help you can provide will be most appreciated.
    Thank you.

  • Video freezes during playback

I have been having this same problem of the picture freezing and the audio continuing to play for months and have not been able to solve it.
the picture freezes on my external monitor, but not on the computer monitor. The decks that connect to the Sony monitor are the only things on the firewire. I am on OS 10.4.11, FCP 5.1.4, Quick Time 7.6. I have 4 external data drives in a FirmTek SeriTek/2eEN4 and a 320 GB drive in the computer, in addition to the boot drive. The RAM is maxed out at 1.5 GB in my G4 Dual Processor. I have trashed my preferences and even gone so far as to do a clean install of both the OS and FCP. I have been through the preferences over and over, but see nothing wrong... No luck.
It does not matter if I capture to the internal or external dives, the playback problem still occurs every once in a while. Even if I am only playing back a clip that has just been captured in the viewer and there is no timeline to overlap on the screen. I can stop, backup and play over the same spot just fine, so the problem isn't long frames in the HDV I'm capturing as DV.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
