Is it possible to fetch the video from a TV Tuner card?
Any java classes are available for this purposes?
Thanks in advance...

Lokos like it's Windows-only, but dsj might do what you want

  • How do I upload videos from an SD card to the movies folder in Finder on my iMac?

I'm having trouble uploading videos from my SD card to my iMac. I'm wanting to save it in the "Movies" folder in Finder. When I open the SD card on my iMac, I am able to view the videos in QuickTime Player. They were an AVCHD file format. It gave me no option of saving the videos - not even with dragging them. So, I tried moving all of the files versus just one (in other words, instead of opening the file to view all of the videos, I just dragged the whole file without opening it).  It saved to my iMac, but in the same way as it was on the SD card - I wasn't able to actually save the videos themselves. They were only able to be viewed with QuickTime Player - I couldn't do anything else with them. So, I took my SD card out of the computer and put it back in the video camera. I then realized than I could not view the videos in the camera - they wouldn't show up. I then plugged the SD card back into the iMac. The videos were now saved under a BDMV folder versus the AVCHD folder they had been under earlier. The AVCHD folder was there, but would not open. When I tried to open it, all it said was, "This operation could not be completed." The BDMV folder allows me to view the videos in QuickTime Player, but I still cannot save them to my iMac from the SD card. I even tried saving the videos to iPhoto by dragging the BDMV folder into iPhoto. All it did was say, "The following files could not be imported. The file is in an unrecognizable format." So, now, I am completely confused as to what I need to do as to save the videos onto my computer, and even how the videos are now saved under a BDMV folder versus the original AVCHD folder in the SD card. I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with this problem. Thanks!

You should have an icon of the SD card on the desktop - do you? If not, go to Finder Preferences > General and make sure these items are checked to show:
Once the icon is showing, you can just drag the card content to your desktop. It depends on what you want to do with the video - just watch or edit in iMovie to share online or burn a DVD?

  • Can I capture the video from the TV card or video capture card to publish

Can I capture the video from the TV card or video capture card to publish?
I tried to use the USB camera, it's OK. But, will the TV card or video capture card also work?

    Hi,
iChat will set up a Video chat window that takes in to account your Processor speed and Internet Speed and to some extent the Buddy's speed.
This then denotes the pixel content of each frame.
OS X 10.6.x tells me this is iChat 5 which in turn mean you have  at least an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor.
This should be capable of 30 frames a sec at  about 640 X 480 pixels  (Check the Connection Doctor (Video Menu) and the Statistics tab during a Chat).
iChat 5 cannot do HD  (Max of 4:3 ratio at the above figures)
After that it depends how you are recording the chat.
    Quicktime X would do it.
iChat will do it itself (if the Buddy agrees)

  • How do I play videos from an SD_Video card?

How do I play videos from an SD_Video card?

Click on the SD card that appears on your desktop until you get to the DCIM folder.  Click on folder until you get to the movie files.  Drag these files onto your desktop.  You can erase the ones on your SD card if you do not want to same them on there.
Depending on the movie file types you should be able to play them w/either QT 10, QT 7.x or VLC.  It helps to have Perian installed.
Also, helps if you would advise us which OS is installed on your MBP and which model MBP you have.  Some come w/a built-in SD slot, others you will need a card reader.

I added an SSD to my 27" 2011 iMac.  Although Sahidus is absolutely correct, it is much easier to add an SSD replacing the optical drive, it wasn't that bad to add it using an entirely seperate cable using SATA-III.  To me it is worth the extra hassle to install a SATA-III SSD.  This is where you are going to get maximum performance.
Although it appears complicated, if you go slow, the procedure to install an SSD drive isn't too bad.  It takes at most 3 hours, as long as you are prepared and have all the parts and tools.
    http://www.btobey.com/learn/imac-ssd-install.php
This describes how I did it.  Now I get awesome data performance from my iMac!
I think the 21.5" may be more difficult to find where to place the SSD.  But im sure it is possible.  Just be creative.

  • Will videos from the SD card be copied to the camera roll

Will videos from the SD card be copied to the camera roll. I am using the iPad SD card reader, will the videos be copied to the iPad Camera roll

Yes. You do want to read the manual though, and make sure your camera is shooting a video type that the iPad will play. I know I can with my canon camera, but I know others have had problems.
What you'll do is import the videos onto your ipad, then when you tap on them to play them it opens the video app and they play

  • Transfer videos from SanDisk memory card to imovie

I am having problems transfering videos from my memory card (SanDisk) to imovie. I have watched the tutorials and they dont seem to help.

Mount the card to the desktop in a card reader or your camera if it mounts and drag them to a folder - right click on the folder and burn to Disk
Or import to iPhoto and export as kind = original to a desktop folder and burn that

  • How to reference/play video from the MicroSD card

I am developing an interactive video application using AIR on Android and need to store media on an external MicroSD card.  How do I access that file location in AIR?  I have tried:
    /mnt/Removable/MicroSD/
    /mnt/external1/
    etc.
    Is there code similar to:
    var myFile:File = File.documentsDirectory.resolvePath("Test Folder/test.txt");
That would allow me to reference the external storage?

OK...I am highly confused.  And I think you are a bit confused too...adding to the confusion.
Log and CAPTURE is for capturing from tape. If you aren't capturing from tape...but rather an SD card...do not use Log and CAPTURE.  Tapeless capture uses log and TRANFER.  That's what I mention in that tutorial.
    >How do I set up the preferences so that I get the capture window that shows the clips that I can import (capture) from my SD card?
Watch the video again. You open Log and Transfer...click on the folder icon on the upper left...and then navigate to the backup of the card you make.  The FIRST step is to back up that card.  Then you use L&T...and direct it to the root level of the backup folder.  You click OK and all the clips in that folder will appear in the Log and Transfer window.
    >I keep getting prompted with a message that my HDV deck is not connected.
Because you are opening Log and CAPTURE.  Again...log and transfer is what you want.
    >I'm just trying to have my video be captured wirelessly from the SD card into FCP.
Sorry, you can't do that. You cannot do this wirelessly. You need to connect the camera to the computer with a wire...typically USB.  OR...you take the SD card out and either use an SD card reader connected to the computer via a cable (USB), or if you have a laptop with an SD card slot...well then, that would be wireless. Just slap the card into the computer and watch it show up on the desktop.  Then back up the footage, then Log and Transfer.
    >It's got to do something with setting it up in wither Easy Setup menu or one of the others.
No. You do not need to use the Easy Setups. That is for tape capture. You determine what codec you will be converting to in the Log and Transfer preferences. Watch the video again...I explain this thoroughly.

  • HT5470 Downloaded a video from I tunes that is sitting in my library but unable to Synchronise  it to the I pod.

    Hello if anyone could help??
Ok, have a new i pod nano and everthing works fine. However downloaded a music video through I tunes store that is sitting in my I Tunes library. However when  I go to synch  it to the player an error icon appears (round red circle with a slah through) when I drag it over to the player. Also if I try to press the Synch button it will Synch for about 3 seconds and then stop telling my Synch is complete. However the video does not appear in the player.
I have followd all the instructions and have changed the file to fit an I pod (feature in the library) as I understand not all files wil play. However that does not seem to work.
    No error messge appears.
I am now at a lost as to what to do.
Would be very greatful for any assitance.
    Kind regards

    Hi Albert Ouch,
If you are having issues syncing a downloaded video to your iPod nano, even after converting it, you may want to verify that that video conversion and syncing in general are working alright. You may find the following article helpful:

  • Why can't I view video from my SD card on my Mac? It appears on my RFH400 but not the Mac?!

I recorded four short videos onto an SD card using a Canon HFR400 video camera. When I load the SD card into the computer I’m only able to view one video. The others show no images, only a black screen but each will play for the length of each video.
Weird part is that I can play back all four videos in playback mode on the camera. It’s just loading them onto the computer which causes 3 of 4 to go blank. Any idea why it’s not allowing me to view??
I thought it had to do with the format or possibly using a Mac, but it doesn’t make sense that one video can be seen and the others can’t. They were all shot within 15 minutes of each other. May have to try Canon tech support but it doesn’t seem to be a camera issue.

    Hi canondude!
    Thanks for posting.
Ho are you bringing the video clips over to your computer?  Are you connecting the camera or are you using a card reader?  What program are you using to import the video clips?

I have a video on a SD card. I need to know how to upload on IMac and then burn to a blank DVD-R. I know how to copy a disc then burn it to a blank disc. Please help

Does the Video or Card show up in Image Capture?

  • Can you import movie videos from SD camera card

Can you import movie videos (MP4) into an Ipad from an SD camera card on a Lightning cable ... or can you only do this from a laptop via Itunes? In other words, is Itunes the only way to get non-Itune videos to the Ipad? Hope I havent made this sound confusing.

To import the videos must follow a very strict naming convention.
All file names must have 8 characters for a name and be located in a folder named DCIM
    for example
    DCIM
    MOV_5789.mp4
You can't watch the videos off the cart, they must be imported into the iPad. They'll go into the camera roll, when you tap on them it'll open the video app and you can watch from there.
