Video Glitch in the Daily Show 3/20

I experienced a glitch at about 4:34 (time in episode) during my watching of the Daily Show for 3/20 yesterday. After the glitch, all of the audio timing was off with the video. Meaning Jon Stewart was mouthing words that I heard a couple seconds later. If anybody has any solutions to this problem help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Martin

Try to clear the Flash local storage and settings or at least the settings for the Comedy Central website.

  • I can no longer view some video such as the Daily Show

Ever since I have had my MacBook Pro (2years) I've been able to view any video  that I wished. Suddenly a few can no longer be viewed, such as Jon Stewart's the Daily Show.  Any ideas?

Noting that my video extension is .mov

  • Cannot view videos in you tube or The Daily Show

I cannot view any videos with you tube. Neither can I view the videos on the Daily Show (which I get using the Modify Headers plug in) The all worked marvellously only a few days ago. I checked the Java is up to date, I have cleared the cache, restarted and tried again. I can see the videos on googlechrome, I can see the page but the video gets "there was an error, try again later" (you tube) the Daily show just does not finish loading the video part of the screen - but I get the websites. This is recent. what happened? how do I get it back?

  • I get no audio for the Daily Show and Colbert Report

I am using the most recent Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.265 with Windows 7, 64-bit, which works for all videos except those for The Daily Show and the Colbert Report, which have no audio.
The Daily Show and Colbert Report play in Google Chrome, but not in Firefox.

Sometimes it's jest THEM! But be sure to check PLUGINS. The Shockwave and Java applications may need 'PLUGIN UPDATE' for newer versions. Suggest a check for any outdated PLUGIN UPDATE found from the Mozilla Firefox Toolbar 'Help' Menu > 'Firefox Help' > [lower right margin displays link to more info to review and 'UPDATE PLUGIN's!

  • I can't get flash videos to work on Daily Show website (using either Safari or Firefox) - latest version of Adobe flash.... can anyone help??

    Hi all,
I can't get the Daily Show videos to play (flash) on either Safari or Firefox on either of my macbook pro & macbook air.
I have the latest version of flash, tried reinstalling, restarting, cleaning out the cache but no dice.
    Can anyone help me?
    Kind regards, Renegade.

Works with no problem on my MacBook Air. Since it is happening on both browsers on both of your computers, have you considered the possibility that it may be something to do with your router?

  • I cannot view "The Daily Show" directly.

I am running Firefox 5. I have another computer that is still running Firefox 3.6, and I am able to see it there. Both computers have the same add-ons including Adblock Plus. Originally, I thought that Adblock Plus was the problem, and I disabled it, but the video still did not run. I ran in Safe Mode, disabling ALL add-ons, and the video STILL did not run. I think the problem is with Firefox 5 itself, since I am able to run "The Daily Show" on my other computer with ALL add-ons, INCLUDING Adblock Plus enabled.

I am using Mail app and nothing happens. The text is OK but not attachment appears. When I expand the header I can read there's an attachment, but the name is not showed. Size of message is too big for a message without files... And the attachment is perfectly attached :-) in my iPad.
If i forward the message from my iPad to my email account, then the file is there, I can view it from my Mac.
It has happened with .docx and .pptx......... pdf are ok.
    Thanks

  • The Daily Show

Am trying to play the video available via Safari on "The Daily Show" Site but seem to be running into problems. The video frame will load but it is black. I have the latest Flash installed and Flash runs on other sites. Also loaded the basic Flip4Mac, am running 10.4.11 on a G5 with Quicktime 7.4.5.
Have also tried Camino & Firefox with the same result.
    Any Thoughts muchly appreciated...

Well I get to answer my own question.
On the advise of an extremely Tech Savvy Friend I made a new account.
In the new account everything worked as its supposed to.
So I checked what was different in the Plug Ins and Prefs Folders.
Ended up copying over the Folder for Macromedia and trashing a plug in for
Daily Show Goodness in the Main AC.

  • Why is the Daily Show taking so long?

I am about to give up my multi-pass for the Daily Show. Downloads used to be available within hours of the programs. Now, it regularly takes 3 days for them to appear. I'd rather watch clips for free on Comedy Central if I have to wait this long.
Does anyone know why this is or why Apple/Daily Show people don't care? They are about to lose a customer.

This is Apple's response to my e-mail and my response to them:
    Dear Bruce,
Good afternoon. As a fan of shows like The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, I completely understand where you are coming from as far as the delays on getting those shows. Rest assured, Apple strives to provide quality products through the iTunes Store, but sometimes the videos that are provided to us are not the standard of quality you would expect. If they are below our standard, there may be a delay while we request new videos or work to fix the ones we have. This is especially true now that iTunes is transitioning to a new version. We are working hard to provide higher resolution videos and we make our best efforts to make the videos available for download within 24 to 48 hours of their air date.
I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience. If you have anything else you need answering, just let me know. Thanks!
    Sincerely,
    Brett
    iTunes Store Customer Support
    Hello Brett,
Thanks for your answer. I do understand there can be issues like this, so I will see if it clears up in the coming weeks. If not, I will have to end my subscription. It makes no sense to pay money for these videos when they are available on Comedy Central several days earlier and friends see them before you and discuss them.
    Sincerely,
    Bruce

  • No audio in The Daily Show

I bought the Multi-Pass of the The Daily Show and a couple of other episodes individually and the video plays but there's no audio connected to it. Music plays, the speakers work but nothing for The Daily Show. I checked the equalizer to see if perhaps I was missing something but it's flat - no sound is attached to the files.
Just when I thought my world was perfect...
    What am I missing? I'm running 10.4.6 and iTunes 6.0.4 (3).

  • The Daily Show Multi-Pass: how does this work?

I subscribed to the Daily Show Multi-Pass. The store said it was busy and try again later. So I thought I'd do it later but meanwhile got an email saying I had the multi-pass and 9.99 has been deducted from my account!
The email has a link to view account preferences. It says that 2 of the 16 episodes have been downloaded - nothing has been downloaded (and only one show is currently available).
According to the email: "You will receive an email when future episodes of The Daily Show are available and the episodes will be downloaded automatically to the account listed above the next time you sign in to iTunes." What? When is that?
It would be great if this worked with RSS like podcasts instead of some mysterious download time.
    Is this working for anyone?

Okay here's what you have to do: Go to the Music
Store, and click the button with your e-mail address
at the top right (below "browse"). Then click "Sign
out" in the popup. Then click where your e-mail
address used to be to sign in again. Your episode
    will start downloading.
This is a stupid way for Apple to do it, but at least
it technically works so until they make it easier
this is what we're going to have to do every day.
    Argh!
Hmmm...when I did the above, it ran through the "Checking for purchases" before starting the download. So I wonder if doing the "Check for purchases..." selection under the Advanced menu would do the same thing without the hassle of logging out and in. I'll give it a try tomorrow...

  • Why does it stop every few seconds for "buffering" when I try to watch the Daily Show and the Colbert Report?!

The past couple of weeks whenever I try to watch the Daily Show and the Colbert Report the screen freezes up every 2 or 3 seconds and the message "buffering" comes on. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

  • Why is The Daily Show no longer available in UK iTunes Store?

I've noticed Jon Stewarts The Daily Show is no longer available in the UK iTunes Store.
    Will this be permanent?

Sorry, but you don't. None of us here, who are all just fellow users, know why the Daily Show was removed from any iTunes Store. It was certainly by request of the owner(s) of the show, but what their reasons are none of us here can say and Apple never comments on the reasons for lack of availability of any content.
    Regards.
