Video goes back to menu before reaching the end of the timeline.

Hi.
I´m having a problem with a Double Layer DVD project in Encore CS3: a 1 hour 30 minutes video goes back to menu before reaching the end for no apparent reason.
I don´t know if this is related to the layer break point of the DVD-DL. I just leave this setting in auto and burn the disc with Nero.
Any input would be appreciated.

Well, I forgot to mention that I was burning the DVD disk with Nero, as I´ve read that Encore puts the layer break point in a weird way.
But after burning the disc with other aplication, the problem disappeared, don´t know why.
Sadly, now I have another different problems. I´ll open a different thread for them.

I've scanned 25 pages of topics but found nothing that mentioned this as a problem. When I play a sequence in the timeline, the video in the Canvas window slows down (and sometimes suddenly speeds up to catch up with the audio) About the audio, it sounds find regardless of how the video is playing back. if I hit the space bar to stop play back, the video snaps to the correct position.
Any ideas why?
Sometthings I've noticed : If I restart my computer, the video tends to play back fine. But if I leave the program open and use it alot, the play back problem happens over time. If I make the canvas window tiny (25% size), the video plays fine but at 50% - I get video speed changes. (audio, always good)
Here is what Im using : The project is about 20 mins long. I have over 50 gigs of HD space (the Macs main drive) Im using FCP version 4.5 on a Dual G5. 2.5 GB of Ram.

And, to confirm, your media is running off your system drive? That is, your machine has only one hard drive on it, correct? (Partitioned or not)

Turns out it was NOT the software or the Mac. I bought a portable DVD player and this problem happens with it, too.

Before reaching the high unit, 'End of file reached' error pops up.

Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.

Matching back to source material in the timeline?

How do I match back to source material from the timeline? I can't seem to find this info anywhere in the FCE help guide.
For example, I have a VA1A2 clip that I drag into the timeline. I start editing, and in the process delete part of the video portion of the clip, leaving me with only the audio A1A2 tracks. Now I want to get that video portion back. How do I get the video portion of the clip back in the timeline, in synch?

Every 3rd track goes back to menu

I have never see this before and can't figure out what is going on. I can play from the menu fine but after 3 tracks it goes back to the menu. It doesn't matter what track I start from. If I start playing track 1 it plays through track 3 then goes back to the menu, if I start on 2 it plays through track 4 and so on. The end action on each track is set to the next track. Help.

Great news. Overrides can be insidious things and can lurk in so many places it's hard to track them all down sometimes.

IMac will not start-up, do not have a backup, any way to back it up before erasing the drive?

Our iMac will not start up, it goes to the flashing question mark screen. I have tried the different steps listed at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1440, but they have not worked, as it says the disk is not repairable. It says I need to erase the disk and reinstall OS X. However, I do not currently have a back-up of the hard drive, so is there any way I can back it up before erasing and reinstalling, even though the iMac will not start up? Thanks.

I also tried downloading Snow Leopard onto an external hard drive and boot from there, but it just comes up to the choose a language screen everytime.

How to go back to frame 1 when the timeline reaches a certain frame?

I have a timeline that has some label frames at the very end of the timeline. During the timeline a user will hit a button on a frame and will jump to one of the label frames. On the label frame is another button that when clicked - returns the user to the previous frame. How do I make the movie return to frame 1 - without a button - but before it reaches the label frames? In other words, by simply reaching a certain frame in the movie, I want the timeline to go back to frame 1.

I'm trying to make an interactive house simulation game (basic) and hit this issue where the timeline needs to skip to the next segment as several options are available per room (listed one after the other in the timeline). Flash isn't particularly easy to use when it comes to this kind of thing. Is Flash Catalyst CS5 more suited to this?

Video goes back to first image

Hello all
I have a prob with a video mpg4 that plays in the first page of my stack, i have added a jpg sequence to play automatically at the end of the video, to stop the video that play inside the page (1024/768)
It plays well
but as soon as i swipe down and navigate into the below page (read other video and scrollable text), then when I come back the first page of my stack the video has go back to its first image (rather than stay with the last image of the seuquence image)
I hope I am clear
I have try everything, even use a whole animation in jpg sequence (which is more heavy than a MPG4) but here again it goes back to the first image as soon as I navigate to the below page
Any idea?

The problem here could be related to the MSO timing issues that are fixed in the Viewer Builder viewers but not in the store iPad viewer. If you can create a custom Adobe Content Viewer, it should work. Or, wait for the store viewer to be approved (any day now).

My macbook wakes up and then goes back to standy even when the lid is open.

so my macbook turns on and then the screen stays on for like 2 seconds then goes back to standby. it does not shut down because when i wake it up again by pressning any button, it is where i was before. Also when it is in standy even when the lid is on, the standby light blinks as if the lid is closed. i can never use it because the screen only stays on for 2 seconds then turns off going to stand by. does anyone have a similar problem or know how to fix this?

Ipad goes back to start screen in the middle of using apps or playing games.

My iPad mini apps have been stopping in the middle of games or reading, it just stops and goes back to the home screen. I also am having trouble downloading successfully from cloud.

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...

Timeline playhead goes back to beginning when it hits end

Is there a preference or something somewhere I need to
turn off to prevent the playhead in the timeline from

Ctrl+L toggles timeline looping.
