Video group call issue with chat
when i'm on a one-on-one call with someone, i can use my video and chat with them just fine
but when they add me to group calls, i cant turn on my camera and i can't send typed messages in the chat window
i have the most recent version of skype, i've even uninstalled and reinstalled and it still wont work
If there are more than 10 persons in a chat, Video will be unavailable. This is aknown bug and will be fixed in the next incremental version of Skype.
For text, type /get name in the groupchat, if it returns #skypename your in an old p2p chat that your client might have issues with, if the return is 19: , your in a new cloudchat, and in theory all should be good.
Post 6.21 clients have issues with p2p chats, and pre have issues with cloud ones. I'm including the 6.21 installer link so you may downgrade if you find it necessary:

Video group calling - can t cancel the subscriptio...
guys....
i need help on that. whenever i try to cancel or go to settings for video group calling skype premium settings the page is not displayed. I don t think there is problem with my internet options settings because it says reload the page later. this thing comes every time i try to change the settings. i don t want group video calling subcription and some how get charged for that every monthI believe the fact that the option to cancel is not available on your account page is a bug, and I think Skype is aware of it.
Until/unless that gets fixed, contact Customer Service through this link to cancel your subscpription:

Re: Video Group call not working
It would seem to be a platform/OS issue. I recently got a new webcam to work with my Kubuntu 14.10 desktop. It works fine when in a one on one call but will not handle video in a group call. I could hear all the other parties, but there was no video from that computer in either direction in the grouup call. To test my premise we tried it on my Android tablet as well. It did, however, work fine on my laptop running Windows 8.1.
Hi there, added a Kudo to this post.
I have the same problem on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, also if I will move soon to 14.04 LTS 64bit.
But the reason stay in the supported platforms.
When group video calls feature will be implemented also for Linux platforms?
Thanks -
Hello! I have recently purchased a laptop with Windows 8.1 with pre-installed Skype application. When When I video-call a single person, everything is working normally, and I am able to see the other person. However, when making a group call, I am the only one that cannot see neither of the parties, though I am able to hear them. I do have the latest Skype application. Also, I cannot recieve pictures. Where is the problem?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi there, I am having a similar problem. When I make group video calls (on my PC with Windows 8.1), the people on macs or iphones can only be heard but not seen. And I get a message on my screen that says something like their version doesn't support group video? But I've done everything the forums says:
1) they have the latest iPhone and just downloaded Skype which is the newest version (no older versions here)
2) I'm the one hosting the call, so they're just joining in (because I know iPhone can't host, but they're supposed to be able to join group video chats).
3) I've added their name to my contacts list and dragged their contact into the group call box to initiate the call (so they're not joining in later, they're there at the start of the call).
4) And we tested prior to the group call to make sure that one-on-one video calling is working.
5) Everyone else on the call who are on a PC has the group video chat working fine.
6) Only calling with 3-4 people in a group.
What am I missing? Please help. -
Calling issue with Cisco 7937 conference station
Hi Friends,
I am facing issue wiht Cisco 7937 conference station, our customer have various branch offices accross the world. All branches are connected over MPLS through service provider( SIP service provider) . there is a centralized CUCM and remote office have SIP Voice gateways .
When making calls from once remote site to another using Cisco 6921 phones calls working fine
When making calls from once remote site to another using Cisco 7937 conference station to make call any phone at remote office, calls are getting disconneted, remote phone rings when calls, but its gets fast busy tone when other party picks up the phone and not able to talk.
I suspect the issue with Codec but we have configured transcoders in VG and registered with CUCM
Please help me if any one experience such issue earlier.
Regards
Sivahi Basant,
1. Actually tow phones A and B are registerd with centralized CUCM, A and B are located in two different locations, RTP traffic between And B pass through service provider.
Call Flow --> Phone A ---->CUCMRouterpattern--> SIP trunk ----> Voice gateway--->Service provider cloud---> Respective Voice Gateway---> CUCM -- Phone B

Lync Response group call issues
Hi all,
I am trying to investigate an issue with incoming calls.
I would like to know who ended the call. Was it the caller or the callee.
How can I find this in Lync reports?
Thanks,Here's a query that will need some work, but might help get you there.
Note that it's currently locked to a date range. You can modify that. I'd make a couple of calls to your response group, one where you hang up, and one where you have them hang up on you.
Run the query. Find your calls, find the ReferredById number that matches your response group. In my case it was 10091, so I added the line "and SessionDetails.ReferredById='10091'" just before the "order by".
Now the query returns your response group calls. The diagnosticID will help you determine who hung up, or you can just add the VoIPDetails record you found as the join is in the query already.
select
(Select UserUri from Users where UserId = SessionDetails.User2Id ) as Caller,
SessionDetails.DiagnosticId,
(SELECT PhoneUri FROM Phones WHERE PhoneId = VoipDetails.FromNumberId) as MyFromNumberId,
(SELECT PhoneUri FROM Phones WHERE PhoneId = VoipDetails.ConnectedNumberId) as ConnectedNumberId,
(Select UserUri from Users where UserId = SessionDetails.User1Id ) as Agent,
(Select UserUri from Users where UserId = SessionDetails.ReferredById ) as ResponseGroup,
(SELECT DATEDIFF(SECOND, SessionDetails.SessionIdTime,SessionDetails.SessionEndTime)) As TalkTime,
SessionDetails.* from SessionDetails
LEFT OUTER JOIN dbo.VoipDetails
ON VoipDetails.SessionIdTime = SessionDetails.SessionIdTime
AND VoipDetails.SessionIdSeq = SessionDetails.SessionIdSeq
where SessionDetails.SessionIdTime > '2014-10-08' and SessionDetails.SessionIdTime < '2014-10-10'
order by SessionIdTime

Group link issue with JHS 11.1.1.3.35
Hi guys,
I've just upgraded our current project to JHeadstart 11.1.1.3.35. Well done on the release ! Each time I find myself needing less and less custom coding in templates :) My 2 favourite features are calling an AM method from a JHeadstart command button item as well as requery condition on entering task flow.
I've only come across one issue so far with the upgrade. I have a service that contains (among others) 2 groups that both look at a Locations datasource. The first group is in table view and the second group is a wizard that is hidden from the menu but accessed either via the new button from the table view going into insert mode, or by a hyperlink on a column on the table going to be wizard to update the record.
The hyperlink item is a groupLink type with the parameter rowKeyValueAdminLocationsWizard passing the PK to the deeplink managed bean.
The problem is with the generation of the DeepLinkParameters bean - it is creating a map entry for "createAdminLocationsWizard" setting it to true which is causing the wizard to always go into insert mode. When I compared the new DeepLinkParameters bean with a copy prior to the update, the only difference is the additon of
<map-entry id="__74">
<key id="__75">createAdminLocationsWizard</key>
<value id="__76">true</value>
</map-entry>
If I remove this from the DeepLinkParameters bean it works fine. In the groupAdfcConfig template you have
#if (${taskFlowCall.callGroup.startInCreateMode}!='')
<map-entry id="#NEW_ID("__")">
<key id="#NEW_ID("__")">create${taskFlowCall.callGroup.name}</key>
<value id="#NEW_ID("__")">${taskFlowCall.callGroup.startInCreateMode}</value>
</map-entry>
#end
Now the group I am calling does start in create mode but I don't want this parameter added to my DeepLinkParameters bean.
For now, I've created a custom groupAdfcConfig template and removed the above code.
Is there something else that I can be/should be doing to avoid the use of a custom template here ? Has the template changed here ?
** Of course it's not quite that easy ! Im also using the new groupLinkToolbarButton which uses the same DeepLinkParameters bean template code to create the "AdminLocationsLaunchLocationWizardDeepLinkParameters" managed bean and this *does" need the create parameter. One instance of it does and another doesn't - it is possible to distinguish between the two item types (groupLink and groupLinkToolbarButton) in the DeepLinkParameters bean perhaps ?
Cheers,
Brent
Edited by: Brent Harlow on Mar 24, 2011 4:56 PMBrent,
Thanks for the kind words, I am glad you like and use the new features!
Regarding your issue: if you set the group property "Display New Row on Entry", we have chosen to always pass in the create mode parameter as this was expected by most customers: they call the group taskflow, and despite this setting on the grpup itself it does not show the new row, that was causing confusion.
Now, you want to make it dependent on the calling taskflow. You can do this by clearing the Display New Row on Entry property (or set it to false), and explicitly add the createAdminLocationsWizard parameter to the groupLink item that should start the wizard in create mode.

Group Security Issue with Business Rules
Hopefully you experts out there can follow this. We have about 200 users in our Planning application split into 3 categories (Admins, Interactive Users and Planners) via groups setup in Shared services. We also have an email group list setup in Outlook that has all 200 users in it that we use to send out emails to all users regarding the application. So in Shared Services we have the email group list as an assigned group in the Planners group. So as new people are added to the group list in email they are automatically included as a user in the Planning application. People that are Admins or Interactive Users are manually added to those groups in Shared Services. Everything seemed to be working fine until we tried blocking the Planners groups from running certain business rules in the application. We have clusters setup in Essbase to control access to the business rules. I went into the cluster and set the Planners group to cannot validate or launch on certain rules but found that I now could not run the business rules either even though I am an Admin and the Admin group has vaildate and launch privledges in the cluster. I believe the issue has to do with the fact that I am by default in the Planners group because I am in the email group list which is assigned to the Planners group in Shared Services. Other than setting up and managing 3 seperate email group lists and assigning them individually in Shared Services, does anyone know how I can manage business rules security using the 3 groups i have setup? I hope this makes sense. If not I can provide more detail. Thanks.
Have you tried using Business Rules projects? Create a project for the admin Shared Services group and assign all rules to that group. Create a Planning project for planners and assign only rules that you want them to run. Any rule that planners should not have access to would be removed from the Planner business rules project, but still in the admin project for you to run.

Incoming calls issue with 8800 carbon
Hi I just bought an 8800 carbon but I'm having an answering issue. I can make calls absolutely fine but when receiving calls, it resets my phone (the caller gets a busy tone and the phone goes back to the intro screen & tries to get service again)... No idea what the problem could be. I'm with Fido in Canada. Any suggestions?
Thankshey guys I found the problem. It was the name display option with Fido. I removed it from my plan and its all good now!

Video and Audio issue with cam
Lately my webcam video has not been able to be viewed on the software provided, it has just turned up as a green striped screen, the video show up perfectly when i play with windows media player and other video/music players, but the audio get screwed up, it will start out fine for the first two seconds then it will get very deep and distorted. And solutions?
It is not easy to help with this. I mean if you already had contact with service they should be able to test it and repair. I really don't know which kind of advice we can offer here.
Problem is that we don't know if this is hardware related issue or not.
I have NB520 with my own preinstalled Win7 Home premium and everything works perfectly.
Do you use original preinstalled Win7 starter version?
Have you noticed this strange sound issue when you just listen music (online radio) without watching video? -
Group Text Issues with Sprint users
When I send a group text, anyone receiving the text on a Sprint phone gets an empty conversation bubble. The same is true when I respond to a group text that includes Sprint users. All other non-Sprint users can see my messages and replies. I have an HTC One and my default messaging app is Messages version 6.5.798297. Any idea how to fix this?
That is a sprint problem. Have them call Sprint.
If the others are getting them, and it means you are sending successfully then its not a Verizon issue.

Group messaging issue with messages being sent to email rather than mobile
Hi,
I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 6.0.1. I tried to send out a large group message today by opening up messages and clicking on the + button (top right corner) and selecting a number of recipients one by one in the list.
What I noticed was that when selecting some contacts, I was prompted for a delivery address while other contacts were automatically selected and I couldn't change the delivery path. Unfortunately the phone was automatically sending the messages to the recipients email rather than their mobile phone (I checked my mobile usage records). I couldn't select the recipient in the list and change the delivery method either... I also noticed that the message would change from an sms to mms message automatically because the iphone was automatically choosing an email address to send to. This is really annoying!!! Does anyone know a work around?
I tried disabling mms messaging in settings-messaging but I would get an error saying:
Cannot Send Message: MMS Messaging needs to be enabled to send to an email address
This is incredibly frustrating. Why doesn't the iphone allow you to select the delivery address for each contact rather than automatically selecting an email address? I thought the iphone would be smart enough to select their mobile number since it is a mobile messaging device...
Any ideas? Is there a solution to this issue?

Video card driver issue with K8T FSR
I put a new system togather yesterday. Here are the spcs.
AMD64 2800+
MSI K8T FSR (VIA chipset)
Geil Value Series 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200
WD 120 mb drive
Gainward fx5600xt 128MB
I installed Windows XP 32bit, VIA 4in1 drivers and directX 9. Most of the BIOS is set to safe performance (no overclocking). I then installed the latest nvidia drivers and rebooted. I see the Windows XP logo and then I get different colors on the screen. No display or colors only (no pattern). I rebooted in safe mode and uninstalled the drivers and the system booted fine. I then installed the driver I got with the card and same thing happened. Anyone experince this sort of behavior after installing video driver? Or does anyone have a suggestion on how I can fix my problem. Any help is grealy appreciated.
Thanks.Try installing latest drivers from card manufacturers website. Before you do that, go ahead and install DirectX drivers first...then re-boot system and try to locate latest video card drivers. Or, let Widows find compatible drivers from it's source, and use those until you get your system running stable....then venture out on the web for your GPU's latest software....just some ideas.....

My visit to the Genius Bar regarding video issues with Leopard
Having video hang up issues with imove 08 and viewing videos on my webgallery. We opened a video on my web gallery on 3 computers with Leopard and two computers with Tiger at the Genius Bar. The Tiger machines allowed immediate playback where the Leopards took 3-5 minutes to view. Crazy!
Also noticing fickering with my footage in imovie 08 which I never had with Tiger. Plus when I delete a clip in my project, my workspace goes completely black and I must go into another project open it, then back to the first project and it reappears....Very frustrating.DVD Drive is dead. Hopefully was the issue.
Thanks for all the input
