Video in Elements 8 / Premier Elements Trial 8
So I tried the trial version of Premier Elements 8, using existing video from PS Elements 8. The "Instant Movie" function split all my video into scenes, but I didn't like the resulting movie, and have passed on Premier 8 at this time. Now all my selected videos are still split up into scenes in Elements 8, and stacked like photos! How do I put all the "scenes" back together into one video clip?? Thanks for the help!
To build on Barb's suggestions:
- Be sure to never set the Auto-Analyzer to run automatically (Edit > Preferences > Auto-Analyzer Options > Analyze All Media In Catalog Automatically). It will split your video into scene groups, even if you don't have Premier installed.
- Before deleting and reimporting the video, write down its date/time, because PSE or another program may have changed the video file's date-modified, and PSE will use that date when it reimports the file. You can change the catalog's date of the video using Edit > Adjust Date And Time.

I´ve ordered Windows but i want the macversion.

Svea support the license for Photoshop and Premiere Elements 13 is a multi platform license. Have you downloaded the installation files and ran the installation with the serial number you received?

Photoshop elements & premier elements instalation
trying to install photoshop elements &premier elements on windows 7
error message (on both )
instalation progress has encounted an error whil installing shared technologies
please restart system and try again.
each time i get the same problem i installed the programs from adobe download

Every video produced by Premier Elements 11 is blury and out of focus.
When I try to create a video with Premier Elements 11 and an MTS file from my video camera, the resulting videos are blurred and out of focus. The MTS is clear and looks good. Plays on any supported video player. Have tried to convert to AVI as well as creating DVD with the same results. This is the case with any input file, not only one. How can I get a focused, clear video?

What are the properties of these .mts source files
Video compression
Audio compression
Frame size
Frame rate
Interlaced or Progressive
File extension
Pixel Aspect ratio
What is the brand/model/setting of the camera recording the source media?
What are you or the project setting as the project preset (which should match the properties of the source media)
See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, Pixel Aspect Ratio (even if they appear to be grayed out)
When you are viewing the Timeline content in the Edit area monitor is the playback blurry and out of focus?
Or is the blurry and out of focus only in your exports? If only in exports, then we need to dig into your export choices in Publish+Share/.
Is your computer optimized and is your video card/graphics card driver up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of your video card?

Video Quality in Premier Elements 9
My system has an Asus P6T motherboard, Nvidia Geforce GT 240, Intel core i7 930 @2.8ghz, 6gb ram, widndows 7 64 bit with x86 of course, and I installed Premier Elements 9. I have tried several video formats and I am able to browse to them with the get media as they are on my hard drive. Each time I add the file o the timeline/scenline and play them the video quality is very poor. I have tried WMV, AVI, and MOD files. When I pause the video the resolution of the still frame is perfectly clear but when I begin to play the video it becomes jagged and unclear again. What gives?

It sounds like a download rather than an upload from YouTube that you are asking about. Please read on.
Are you asking how to get the video that is currently displaying on YouTube onto your computer and into Premiere Elements 11 for you to edit and export as you want - YouTube again or otherwise?
If so, the important question is "Is that video yours or someone else's?"
If it is someone else's then see the YouTube licensing agree which I believe does not allow for that without its approval and consent.
If it is your video, did you delete or lose the original that you uploaded to YouTube in the first place? If you have that project saved, there is no reason why you cannot just edite that Timeline and upload the edited version to YouTube. At YouTube web site you can leave the original there or delete it once the edited version of it is uploaded there.
Please supply more details.

Elements - Premier Elements Audio quits
I’ve used Photoshop Elements, mostly simple tasks, for many years, for photos and videos. I upgraded to ver 11 as well as Premier Elements 11 so I could do very basic video editing such as pasting a few short clips together. I use Elements to ‘get’ a video (or photo) file into the Organizer, but when I try to view the video file inside the Organizer the audio quits after exactly 30 seconds. Several other people have mentioned the same thing so I don’t think there is anything wrong with my video file, and it plays perfectly outside of Elements, when I go directly to the folder where it is stored and click on it.
I tried to edit the video inside PE11. That seems to keep all the audio but it get saved as a PREL file (whatever that is). However, the normal Elements Organizer can’t 'get' it. Yesterday I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements 13 at an Office Depot Store. I was finally able to download and install the Premier Elements. The Photoshop Elements 13 will download, but it will not install. Near the end of the 35-minute installation (which I have done 8 times) I get a message saying it will not install and that I need the 64-bit version. There was not an option for the 32 or 64 bit versions when I made the download. How can I get the 64-bit version without paying for the product again?

Trial edition of Adobe Premier Elements
I want to make my video on Adobe Premier Elements 11 but im using the trial version. Everytime i put a picture, in the background, it says "created with adobe premier elements trail version". How do i delete that from my movie?

As has been stated, as long as the copy of PrE is the "trial," that watermark will appear, and be embedded in any output file.
When you do purchase the program, and plug-in your S/N to convert from trial to full-paid, you can remove that watermark, for subsequent output, but be sure to Delete any Render Files, as mentioned in that FAQ Entry, posted by John T.. That is an important step, and remember, any files output FROM the trial, WILL always have that watermark.

How to import AVI files created in Adobe Premier Elements 2?
I have captured video in Adobe Premier Elements 2 on my PC from my Canon Optura camcorder. I have a few hundred small .avi files that I need a friend to import into his Final Cut Pro so they can be edited along with other footage that he has created. What is the best way to do this? Should I output a different file type from Adobe to make it easier for him to import?

Unfortunately the clips are dispersed throughout many tapes so it is not reasonable for my friend to capture directly from the tapes.
I'm new to video editing and I don't know what format is recorded by my camcorder. Reading in this forum indicates that the .AVI files are just "wrappers". Is the compressor part of Final Cut? Would he be able to convert the files? Is it a problem if the time codes are lost. Can I do anything else in Adobe to make the conversion easier?

I used the HVACD OPTION. Made a high quality DVD Bill OlsonI want to thank you and Bill Hunt for your prompt replies. However I don’t think they are on point. My problem is not with a single photograph but entire project consisting of many photographs, transitions, music, etc. I actually imported two such projects into my video project in Premier Elements. One cam in perfectly. The other however, was bollixed up. It played fine in Elements, but when I reviewed it in Premier, the music shifted two frames forward, and one picture came in sideways. There may be more, but these problems alone frustrated me from checking further. The companion project imported without a hitch and plays as designed. All photos from both projects were taken on the same trip with the same two cameras.

I have no idea if they will charge you a fee for the service ($40 US dollar/hour). It might not even help you (fee or no fee) because you do not have the latest version of Premiere Elements.
What you ask is easy enough. Let me try again with a step by step to see if we can get this working for you in principle and then fine tune the details.
1. Export your Timeline to a file, using Publish+Share/Computer and then one of the choices
Adobe Flash Video, MPEG, AVCHD, AVI, Windows Media, QuickTime, Image, Audio. I do not know what your project settings are, but I am going to guess at NTSC/AVCHD/Full HD1080i30. That would represent 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second.
The following is going to be a mini test run in principle so we will cut to the core and overlook some things.
Go to Publish + Share/Computer/AVCHD/ and set Presets = MP4 - H.264 1920 x 1080p30.
Note that there is a field for Save In: near where you set Presets. Set the Save In for Libraries/Documents not C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 11. Keep out of the Program Files for matters such as these.
Go to the Elements Organizer 12 File Menu/Get Photos and Videos/From Files and Folders and then browse to and select your MP4 file that you have saved in Libraries/Documents.
You now should have your video represented in the Elements Organizer 12 with a thumbnail.
Please let us know if that works for you. If not, then please let us know where you need supplemental help to get the task completed. I will re-write if necessary.

Add On...A little side note for later...If you took your file saved to the computer hard drive and imported that back into Premiere Elements with Premiere Elements' Add Media/Files and Folders, you would get
a. the file imported into a new project
but also
b. a copy of the file automatically placed in the Elements Organizer 12.
If the ideas seem overwhelming, please take the steps on one at a time and follow exactly what is written. You should do fine. -

if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version. -
How do I stop Photoshop Premier Elements repeatedly uninstalling itself?
Having got elements & Premier Elements 11 and fed in the Activation Codes Premier Elements insists on uninstalling itself after a few days. i've uninstalled both and reinstalled them but the problem reappears. Successful ideas on how I make it go away would be soooooo welcome
At a rough guess there is something in the Windows registry that is causing PE to be being treated as a trial copyCould be your Windows System Restore trying to "protect" your start menu... Perhaps check that.

Burning a DVD from Premier Elements 8
I have recently been making my first video using Adobe Premier Elements 8 and am now ready to burn it to a DVD. A message appears directing me to go to www.adobe.com/go/premiereel encoder and type in a 50 character authorization code to receive an unlock code. This computer is never connected to the internet. I've contacted Adobe and they've suggested this forum for a solution. So here I am again (I tried yesterday). Can anyone out there help a low-tech guy in a high-tech world?

Let us not give up yet. I am not an Adobe employee, just a Premiere Elements user like yourself with at lot of troubleshooting curiosity.

2. This is what I would like you to do if nothing else is working to solve the problem:
a. If the Deactivate option is active under Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 Help Menu in the workspace, then go Help Menu/Deactivate. Close Premiere Elements.
b. Uninstall the Premiere Elements via the typical Control Panel route.
c. Get your computer connected to the Internet for now.
d. Reinstall Premiere Elements 8 and then the Premiere Elements 8.0.1 Update.

You can download and install this update with Premiere Elements 8.0 closed.
e. Open Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1, new project, and try for the burn to DVD and let us know the outcome.
(After you install the 8.0.1 Update, there is no 8.0.1 noted in the screens. Just watch for the message at the end of the install that the 8.0.1 Update has been successfully installed. Besides that message, a good sign that the 8.0.1 Update has been installed is finding a disabled automatic Background Rendering option under Edit Menu/Preferences/General.
