  • My ipod nano wont let me download video i downloaded off of my computer

my ipod nano wont let me sync my videos on my computer

Not all video format downloaded from iTunes is compatible with ipod nano. Make sure that the file extnesion is mp4 or any quicktime formats. If not, create a version on these format using iTunes or convert using a third party software. Cheers!

  • Why is it taking so long to download a TV show to my Video iPod

I recently purchased a video iPod and am downloading my first tv show. It's an hour long show and it's been downloanding for close to an hour. Should it take this long?

Assuming you are downloading from itunes, yes it can, it really depends on several things, the network, your connection speed, your download speed. I have had it take close to two hours at times to download a tv show and at others only about 30 minutes.

  • Can't download purchased music to video iPod

I can't download purchased music and videos to my new 30GB video iPod.
When I try to copy videos or purchased I get an error "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" and iTunes quits after I close the dialog.
I ran the iPod Updater 2006-01-10 and Restored my iPod. I can download mp3s and a video I created in QT Pro but not purchased music or videos.
I uninstalled all previous iPodSetup installations, iTunes, QuickTime, rebooted and deleted the iTunes prefs file at:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info\SC Info.sidb
I reinstalled iPod Updater 2006-01-10 and iTunes 6.0.2 and rebooted.
    The problem remains.

  • U2 iPod - No video to download

hello, I received a U2 version iPod for Christmas and have redeemed the code to download the U2 music video and other content. However, when I sync my iPod, no video is downloaded to it. I am also not seeing it appearing in iTunes, I have version 7.0.2 which I think is the latest. Can anyone help me?

What connection are you using to download. Mine worked just fine a few days ago. The video will be seen in Itunes under Purchases, even though it was a free purchase. Maybe you aren't looking in the right folder. Try downloading again, and if fails contact Apple.

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/office/dn448488
is it possible ot download this videos? any idea how to do it?
    dfd

    Hi Vishnu,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to download the videos of SharePoint 2013.
It seems that there is not a way to download the videos from the site, you only can watch it online. In addition, there is another link for SharePoint 2013 videos, it is also unable to download , but you can download the presentations of SharePoint 2013.

    I hope this helps.

  • Download helper no longer works - icon is there but it does not recognise flv video on any site - not a PC guru so easy help needed !!!!

I have only just started to use Firefox as I got very tired of IE. I watch a lot of flash/flv videos on many different sites and sometimes like to download some of these (which I could do on IE but couldn't here). I downloaded the add on "download helper" which was great and worked really well and easily but all of a sudden it now no longer works (the icon is still there but it won't recognise any type of video form any site at all - and I have no idea at all how to repair/fix it.
I am not a PC expert or guru so any kind of easy step by step help will be greatly appreciated (I don't want to have to go back to the horrible IE please!!!!!)

Does it work in the latest Release version - Firefox 31?

  • Download pictures from video ipod

I have a video ipod that I used to back-up all of my digital pictures. I hope this was a good idea because my wife spilled a cup of coffee and crashed the hard drive. Now that I have a new hard drive and have re-installed itunes, I don't know how to import the pictures back onto my (new) hard drive. When I connected the ipod it said that it was registered to another computer (however that computer no longer exist).
    Can anyone help?

There are various programs out there for retrieving photos from an iPod, have a look at the ones below. If you do an internet search you can find more:
    iPodPhotoCopy Windows only
    CopyPodPhoto Windows only
iPod Photo Liberator Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
Apple Knowledge Base article - Use Disk Mode to copy photos from iPod
You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7 installed hold down the Control and Alt keys (or Shift + Ctrl keys in older versions). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes 7 Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows

  • Itunes 7 has messed up my video  ipod 30GB

I am getting the error "itunes has detected an ipod that appears to be corrupted"
    I have tried everything:
Reset, restore to factory settings, upgrade ipod to 1.2.1,
now it's going to a loop of Do not disconnect,
but the ipod still gets unrecognised and of course I lost all my data:(
    Any ideas?
I wonder if this itunes version has been fully qad with video ipods?
I have seen more postings with this problem but no solution.
    Thanks

Thanks everyone. I have decided to uninstall iTunes 7 and put 6 back on. My iPod was immediately found and my music is uploading as I write this. Luckily I did not have to reimport everything to iTunes.
Guess I will wait for the next release. I have not been able to find anything on the Apple site about this error even though it appears many are having it.
If anyone is looking there is still a version 6 download out there.

  • Any Help out there??? 5G 30gig Video Ipod

After a little over two weeks of working with this thing, it just won't come out of the loop. It first started after I changed computers. I had my full library on both computers but was only synced to one of them. While trying to sync to the other computer to make it my main itunes library, I got an option to restore which I did and everything was fine. I did update to iTunes 7.0.2 and iPod 1.2.1 and still everything was fine. Until ... I tried to upload purchased music and videos just after Christmas since I got an iTunes gift card. When I synced then, I got some of my music on it but not all of it after messing with it a bit and doing another restore. I got brave a couple days later and tried to re-sync it to get the rest of my music and the videos to download and got into a recovery mode loop.
When I turn my iPod on, it says connect to your computer. Use iTunes to restore. When I plug it in to iTunes, I get a message that says it's in recovery mode and needs to be restored. I restore and the same message comes right back up again and again and again and .... I've tried all the 5 R's many times, I've tried changing the drive letter, I've tried resetting numerous times, I've tried letting the battery run down and charging it at the wall. I've tried to change the path under disk management but it just comes up as unreadable. I've tried deleting and reinstalling itunes several times. I've tried using the install disk it came with to use the prior version of both the ipod and itunes. I've tried using different computers and different user accounts. Nothing is working.
I did read a thread about formatting the ipod drive and tried that. I did get it to format a few days ago. Hooked it back into itunes, restored again and it did come up and start loading my music. But .. in the middle of that upload, I got a corrupted file message which it let me skip over and then I got a read/write error message and it wouldn't go any farther and went back into the recovery mode loop. Now, when I try to re-format it again, it will not format. Under my computer, I right click the drive, wait until format comes up, left click on format and nothing. I also tried to format under the start and run .. the box pops up saying to hit enter to continue. It sits for a few minutes and then disappears.
I've had this thing for just at a year and have not had any problems with it until now. I'm a bit worried about the drive being trashed since it just won't format. Any and every suggestion would really, really be appreciated!!!

Pretty much the ipod is going to need to be repair. I would suggest taking it into the nearest Apple Store because they give you a 10% discount for older ipods towards a new ipod.

  • Apple store videos won't import into Video iPod

I spent about 19 hours over the last few days talking with mac support phone people, my own Mac repair guy, and the "geniuses" at the local Apple store, and no-one seems to know why I can't get the tv episode I downloaded from the Apple store website to go onto my new video iPod. The Apple store "genius" I first talked to noticed I had an iPod programmed to work in Windows, even though I have a G4, running 10.4.3, with the newest versions of iPhoto, Quicktime, and iTunes, and told the guy that info when I ordered the thing in October. The "genius" did a system restore, and loaded a couple of music videos, which I could view.
When I synced it up to my computer, I got the dialog box asking if I wanted to associate the iPod with my computer instead of the one at the store. I did, and I lost the ability to import videos. When I clicked on the iPod icon at the bottom of the iTunes page to see preferences, both video and photo buttons were missing. Calls up to the 2nd level of iTunes support and Desktop support failed to restore it, even after I did an archive install of Tiger. I finally installed Tiger on another internal drive (it had Panther), updated everything, and when I boot from that drive, I see the video and photo buttons in the iPod preferences. After making my other drive point to my iTunes library on the first hard-drive, I re-downloaded all of my music files to the iPod, but it still won't import the tv show (it also no longer allows me to import my podcasts). Apple support personnel recommended I exchange the iPod for another one, but the folks at the local Apple store wouldn't let me, even though I have a case number (#56524834, in case any Apple monitors want to help out). I've lost so much time and have become so frustrated (I could have watched the show on my Mac 19 times by now; it does play on the computer, so I know the file works) that I'm thinking of dumping my Apple stock. After all, if the customer service is this lousy for a guy who's always used Macs, I think the company is going to lose ground to other companies. Any ideas on how I can get the videos into my iPod (and regain the ability to import podcasts)? thanks, in advance!

But it was the actual MP4 file downloaded from Apple's own website, so I doubt that it was encoded incorrectly. I think it's faulty software, and I'm waiting for Apple to release a patch to fix it. But I don't expect they'll admit it. On the other hand, I can't help but wonder if it has something to do with the fact that my iPod was originally encoded to work on PCs.
I'm not an expert but my understanding is that the files are supposed to be independent of the HD here. If you were able to load any files to the iPod before this problem, then I don't see why HD format should be a problem in this one particular case.
As to the file being from Apple's own web site, I don't consider that a guarantee that mistakes won't be made. However, as a commercial ($$$) enterprise, I consider their product in a "professional" light and hold them to a higher standard than I would others. The file I previosuly mentioned was, strangely enough, a tutorial on podcasting. It is from a series dealing with Apple products (like Aperture) and techniques (like exporting an iPod compatible file from iMovie or batch procissing in QT using Automator) so I assumed the authors are either Apple Techs or Apple "Specialists." That is why I was surprised when one of the podcasts would not sync.
In any case, the conversion of media to iPod compatible format and podcasting is in what... a 60-75 day infancy. So I do expect there will be problems. Especially based on the mistakes I've made in performing any own conversions and initial podcasting test of a public domain (old 1936 Republic "Saturday" matinee movie) Ray "Crash" Corrigan serial. Software, techniques, and workflows simply aren't "perfected" at this point, so I tend to try and learn from the mistakes -- both my own and others.
On the other hand, however, it might be a god idea to post a list of "problem" podcast files to see if these problems are actually file related, download related, or unique to individual iPods. In any case, best of luck to you.

  • Two Video IPods in Family only one Computer

I was giving a Video IPod Saturday for my birthday from my husband and Kids... My daughter also has the same one except hers has not been working. When I was starting to set my own up on our computer she made a comment about not being able to have two IPods on the same computer. At the time I was not concerned about it as the Apple Tech had told me that hers was damaged and not repairable... I loaded my own, have itunes set up and have had no problems downloading music, tv shows and a video so far. I was sick about my daughters and while setting up my own found all the help information on the Apple support site, come to find out that the worless tech at the apple store had just not gone that extra step to actually see if my daughters was totally dead... I have been able to get hers back into disk mode and have it charging on the dock connected to the AC adaptor.. My question does anyone know if I can plug hers back into the computer to try and restore it???? since I have mine loaded also. We each have our own account within Windows. So far I have yet to get the IPod out of disk mode.

"My question does anyone know if I can plug hers back into the computer to try and restore it???? since I have mine loaded also"
Yes you can. If the computer recognises it that will be fine. Log into her Windows account and restore from there:

Restoring iPod to factory settings with iPod updater
For future references, when the iPods belong to two users, there are a couple of recommended methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Method one is to have individual Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. Each iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists.
Method two is to set your preferences so that either one or both iPods get updated with only certain playlists within one library. Have a look at this article and see what you think and go for whichever you feel suits your needs best: How To Use Multiple iPods with One Computer
Another option when using a single library is to set one or both of the iPods to manual update: Managing content manually on iPod
