Video ipod wont sync videos

i have 5th generation ipod with the updated itunes. when i plug in my ipod, it says it cant update any of my tv shows or music videos, but the video podcasts work. helpp

Another note, I just tried encoding some videos with iSquirt. Turns out the final format for the video ends up being .mp4 , I tried adding these freshly encoded videos into iTunes 7 and it wouldnt add. What on earth is going on?

my 30 gig video wont sync any of my videos.
when i try to apply the changes, itunes says that my ipod is done syncing, so i unplug it and check to see if my videos are there, and they never are...

I am having a similar issue. But mine is more specific. All my videos are syncing except for a certain group. I recently purchased Lost: Season 3 on iTunes. Every time a new episode is released, I download it into my library. Itunes shows that I have all of the episodes currently released. However, when I sync my iPod, only the most recent episode shows up on the iPod. Why can't I sync all of the episodes in my library to my iPod?

HELP video ipod wont respond

someone please help. My video ipod wont respond. Ive tried everything. I plugged ino my computer and tried reseting it?( pressing the select and menu button) nothing works what should i do!! I have been trying for the past three days.

Upgraded iPod, wont sync TV shows

Hi all
Just upgraded to the 120gb, everything seemed to copy over fine except for the 3 TV shows that I purchased, does anyone have any ideas ?

Have you made sure you have set your iPod to sync TV Shows? To be sure, plug your iPod in and head over to the TV Shows tab once it appears and you have clicked on its device name in iTunes. Make sure there is a check mark next to Sync and then whatever settings you want for syncing tv shows to your iPod.

Otherwise, if you have already completed these steps, the videos may not be compatible with your iPod. You will have to use a third party app such as [Videora|http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod> or [Handbrake|http://handbrake.fr>, to convert the videos to an iPod format, import the video into iTunes, and sync it to your iPod. I have used both of these apps with great success. Hope this helps.

5th Gen 80gb iPod wont sync tv shows/podcasts

Hey I have looked at most of the solutions on how to sync tv shows and podcasts and I assure you that all of the necesary boxes are checked and the settings are correct. I bought this as a refurb and do not have a warranty. Can anyone help me figure out how to put the season of the office i bought from itunes onto my ipod? i have newest version of itunes and tried to restore as well. Thank you!

Wont sync videos to ipod.

Now i hope the answer to this is obvious and makes me look dumb,keep in mind ive never had an ipod that could play videos before, just the 1st gen nano, now i have an 80g classic. When trying to sync videos to my iPod it just says syncing, then syncing complete, but it shows no movies under the file or on my iPod. Ive tried auto syncing them and dragging them, it doesn't give me and error message, just says it completes and does nothing,

It is currently two Simpsons episodes i forget where i got, i believe they were downloaded, I know it should be TV shows but it shows them under movies. They work fine when i watch them on Quicktime, Windows media player, or when i watch them on itunes.

My videos are mp4, they just dont seem to be reconised on my itunes or ipod.
As you can see it doesnt reconise videos at all on my itunes and I have no idea why!

You need the SD version since now many are offered in both SD (standard definition) and HD (standard definition). Usually if you purchase the HD version you can download the SD version for no additional cost

IPod wont put videos on, :(!!

Hi.
I use the "imTOO Ipod Converter" to convert my movies to .mp4.
For the past few months it all worked fine and all of my videos went on it with no problems. But now videos wont go on it. I goto prefrences and then ipod and click video, and its all dimmed and wont let me select anything!

Connect your iPod to your computer and wait for it to appear in the iTunes source list. Then, click Edit > Preferences. Click the iPod tab. Click the music tab. Ensure that it is set to "automatically update all songs and playlists." Then, click over to the video tab. Now you should be able to change the video update preferences.
Basically, video sync has to be done automatically, whether it be all videos or just specific video playlists. Apparently, if you update your iPod's music manually, you cannot put videos on it with iTunes. I'm not sure why this is so, but for now, it is.

30Gb Video Ipod wont shut off

I have a 30GB Ipod video. It works fine, all features work, plays video, etc. The problem is it wont turn off using the Play button. I have reset the ipod 3 times, still nothing.
Any idea's?

I had the same problem. I ended up just letting the battery run out and then recharged it.
It was working fine, but now it freezes during songs randomly and wont respond. I switch the hold button back and forth and press menu and play till it restarts but then a little later it will freeze again. I thought that maybe restoring it would do the trick but now it will not sync. It will start loading my songs but at some point, a message box pops up saying the requested file is unavailable. After that, when I unplug my iPod, it is frozen on the "Do Not Disconnect" screen, and I have to reset it. How do I get my iPod to sync?

ok i have 2 questions:
1.my itunes wont transfer videos to my ipod. says attemping to copy to ----- ipod failed. the disk could not be copied or written to. i think it´s because my usb port it´s not high speed. should i get one? where i can find one? any options besides that?
2. when i got my ipod, i turned it on without connecting to a pc. i had to go, so i just put it on hold mode. when i came back, i slipped the hold button and my ipod had half battery. i plugged to a pc until it said charged, but i´m afraid that my battery don´t work well. when i´m watching videos, the battery don´t lasts even an hour and half. what should i do?

"Disk cannot be read from or written to" when syncing iPod or "Firmware update failure" error when updating or restoring iPod

Video iPod Wont Show Up on iTunes 6.0.1 something

ive got a fifth generation video ipod, and i think ive got itunes 6.0.1 or something of the sort, and whenever i hook it up to my computer via usb, the ipod displays the "do not disconnect" symbol but wont show up on itunes.
