Video Jukebox / Player - Proxus?

Hello all!
I was surprised to not have been able to find much on this.
I'm a newbie with flash and am working on a page (Dreamweaver) that
I want to include a flash video jukebox. Basically a list of videos
the user can choose from.
I found

that seems to have what I'm looking for but wasn't sure if anyone
had any experience with it. Any other players you would recommend?
I probably want something that's been built to work with
flash as I would want it to look fairly professional and my
deadline wouldn't allow me to waste time trying to figure out how
to do it myself. Any thoughts?

Need flash video jukebox

I would really like some help finding a flash video jukebox. Would like a player with either a list on the side or images and descriptions on the side so that viewers can pick which video they want to watch. I have about 5-10 movies on my site, in Flash, that I want viewers to be able to see in whatever order they choose, they may decide to only view one or two then move on. I originally loaded all of the flash videos and their respective players on to one page, but the downlaod time was horrible. And I would like something slicker that a page full of players.
Any help would be appreciated. If I get what I want I would be happy to post it somewhere for others to download.

No. This page has some that might work. http://3d2f.com/tags/jukebox/flash/. Jalbum supposedly has a template like a flash slide grid that will handle videos.
The only other suggestion I can think of is to create an iPhoto album with your videos and use that to create a MobileMe gallery containing your videos. That would very easy to do and could be embedded into an iWeb page like in this demo page: MobileMe Galleries. The example is set to go directly to the mosaic mode. If you click on the Grid button at the bottom you'll see what it would look like. Just think of each photo as a video.
If you have other MMe galleries that you don't want connected to the video one just use the Advanced Settings pane to isolate the gallery from the others.

Wonder if anyone has been able too, or knows the process too,use the video jukebox and or album cover art from ipod to tv? I have the dock and av cables.

In need of a flash/html5/quicktime audio/video media player for a website

Hello everybody,
I'm looking to get some kind of audio/video media player for a website. I would like it to be customizable, and also most likely read a play list from some kind of text file or xml file.
Normally, I would look for some kind of flash media player, but recently the site might be read from Apple mobile devices also, which of course not flash which might be a problem, so I'm also looking into other options such as some kind of QuickTime media player web application or even html5 player.
I do not personally know how to code in flash or HTML 5, so I would be willing to hire someone to help out.
Is HTML 5 for long enough that it would play on most current browsers? I would imagine that HTML 5 might not work on older browsers–is this correct?
I don't know of any QuickTime media players - any links to get me started?
Does anyone know some solutions to this flash / apple issue?

Looks like you are getting a very good lesson in why Flash is the best choice for a Web media player.... plentilful, easily customizable, and is a "right now" solution. Good luck on getting your viewers to download and install the codex need to play an Ogg video!
To add the extra accessabilty for the iPhone etc, use swfobject to provide an alternative video file type... the .mov
Here is an example of a Flash video that plays on the iPhone (well sort of..):

Using swfobject for Flash detection, if the Web browser has the Flash plugin, the Flash .flv video is displayed, if not, the QT, .mov version is displayed.
View the source code for more exact details.
If the Web browser does not have the Flash plugin, alternate content is displayed, which in this case happens to be a QT player, which displays a .mov video. In this case it's just a single video. Now maybe you have a QT player with playlist... but let me tell you.. they are a lot rarer than Flash media players with playlists, xml playlist, etc.... Strong case for Flash here..
But your alt content could just as easily hold a QT media player (with playlist) if such an animal exists.

At what point is the video quality bad? Is it bad on capture? I would recommend using an s-video 1394 firewire converter instead. They capture the video at a higher bit rate. If you have a lot of 8mm tapes to capture, invest in a stand alone DVD recorder. They capture and compress in one shot. If you need to rip it back from the DVD into iMovie again, I would recommend using DVDxDV.

I wanted to display some sort of flash video jukebox on my

Video / flv player question

I have a client who wants a video on their site similar to the link above. How complicated is this to do? Would I need to create a skin myself for the player. What about the player not showing until the user clicks the arrow? How does that work is that part of the player? Also will the video load fast enough as an .flv or does it need to be on a server? I assume an flv is sufficient.
The part I'm not sure of is the player, how will I get it to look exactly as I want? Any help is appreciated!!

You can edit the player skin if you like. There's no need to do that to get the effect that you want, however. The flvPlayer component is just a tool, you don't have to use it at all. You can load an external .flv file into a sprite or movieClip and play it as you like. Having the controls appear or disappear is just a matter of adding that code to functions for other actions.

Finding a java video streaming player

I recently use FreePastry to implement a p2p video streaming system.
But now i have a new challege, which bother me several days.
In Splitstream, which uses Byte[] to send the data to other peer.
I want find a java video player. It would be best to receive Byte[] as input.
I try JMF, but it use RTP as the input.
Is there any other video players suited about my case.

There is a function in LiveStream.java called read. Read passes in a buffer object. The goal is to write all of the data you have available into the buffer object.
What you want to do is something along the lines of the following pseudocode...

}As for using the PushBufferDataSource, you just create one like you would a normal class (just use the new operator) and give it to a processor or a player like you would a normal data source.
You need to include the DataSource.java code like the example does, modify it to use your modified LiveStream.java (you'll probably change the names of classes, so update the DataSource.java class to reflect those changes) and then just use it to create your DataSource.

Issues with youtube videos / flash player on mac os x lion

I ve' been trying to play youtube videos on my new upgraded mac os x lion (10.7.2) and the videos wont play. The sound also is bit scattered and the screen jusht flashes ocassionally with no video at all.
I suppose this is to do with the flash player or plugin comtability issue. Does any ohter user has seem this sought of behaviour? Any remedies are much appreciated.

Error #3343 Unknown error playing video Flash Player 11.5.502.146 + Citrix

Hi I'm getting an Error #3343 Unknown error playing protected content videos from Vocam.
I have Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise Terminal Servers Citrix Xenapp 5, Flash Player 11.5.502.146, IE 8.    This works fine on Windows XP / 7   and IE 8 / 9 but just not on Citrix servers.
I've used Process Monitor and found no erorrs found only
          RegOpenKey         HKCU\Software\Classes\MIME\Database\Content Type\video/x-flv                NAME NOT FOUND
          RegOpenKey         HKCR\MIME\Database\Content Type\video/x-flv               NAME NOT FOUND
I'm told I need to allow the Adobe Access Module update ??     Also tried installing Adobe Air.
