Video leaks through Tabs

I often will look at a video (youtube lets say) and then while it is loading, go to another tab to check other things.
I have noticed as of late that the video bleeds through the tabs. In other words i switch tabs and the video is still there. It is extremely annoying as you can imagine and seems like a pretty big bug. Just wondering if theres anything i can do. I am using latest safari with webkit nightlys.

Because it's an old basic obsolete model that doesn't have a front camera? Seriously, you may find 3rd party apps that let you video call people using the same app over wifi but without a front camera it's going to be pretty pointless.

  • Why does my generator leak through the edges of the top image?

    I'm using the ornamental generator behind all my pictures. I just stretched it across the entire timeline even though I only need it for some pics. But for the pics that I'm just using ken burns on, the generator is still showing on the very edge of the pics. Any idea why it leaks through like that?
    Attached are two pics. First is the timeline and second is the issue.

    Thanks Russ. Setting the Spacial Comform to Fill did the trick. I still don't get it, though. The image is bigger than the viewable dimensions of the video. Even if the generator is bigger behind it, I don't see why it would leak though, as the dimensions of the video box have already been purely filled by the picture. Nonetheless, your solution worked, so thank you.

  • How do I stop Thunderbird playing youtube videos in a tab

    For ages I've been trying to get Thunderbird to work how it used to work but I seem to be fighting a loosing battle. I have done everything I can do to try and stop Thunderbird from ever using tabs. The latest thing I'm trying to stop is Thunderbird playing YouTube videos in a tab. Often I get emails with videos in them that play really small. If I click in the fullscreen option in the video it doesn't work and I've no idea why? So I click on the YouTube link in the video and I want it to open in Firefox. But instead it opens in a tab. This would be okay except that it plays really slowly and I can't reposition the tab. This is one of the reasons why I hate tabs in Thunderbird. I want to read things (or watch videos) in the centre of my screen, not where Thunderbird decides to open a tab, which is usually in the top right of my screen. With a very large screen it is much more frustrating than it would be on a laptop or other small screen.
    Can someone please tell me how to fix this?
    Another thing I would like to fix is the search function. I use search all the time and it is very powerful/useful. But again, when I click on the search results it opens the result in a tab. It would be okay if it opened a tab in the search results window but it opens the tab in the main Thunderbird window. It may also be okay if search opened a tab. But opening search in a new window and then showing the search items in a tab on the main window is just so frustrating. It almost makes me want to stop using search. I looked at using X Search Desktop for search but it no longer supports Thunderbird.
    Again, can someone please tell me how to fix this?
    I absolutely love Thunderbird but I really wish it were possible to roll back the changes that have been made in a number of areas. I spend so much time looking for add-ons just to get it back to how it used to be. With every new version there seems to be another change to the interface. I have to use "manually sort folders" just to get the folders to be in the order I want them. Like everyone else I want the security fixes that come with new versions but I don't want interface changes forced on me for no reason.
    But now so many add-ons seem to stop working with each new release. I used to have an add-on that provided two simple buttons to increase/decrease the text size of incoming emails/RSS feeds. It also allowed me to set the font size/type I wanted for each incoming email/RSS feed and overide whatever was originally set. That stopped working a while back and I'd love to know if there is an alternative. Some RSS feed fonts are now set for smart phones and are simply massive in Thunderbird.
    If anyone can help me with these issues I'd be most grateful.

  • How can I navigate through tabs without using the mouse?

    I want to know how to navigate through tabs without using a mouse... just like you can navigate through multiple windows by using <alt><tab> ... because it's extremely annoying when I'm working on something to have to take my hands off the keyboard and go to the mouse.

    You can also use Ctrl + Page Up and Ctrl + Page Down to go to the next and previous tab. I prefer those because it doesn't require the Shift key (Shift + Ctrl+ Tab) to go to the previous tab.

  • How can I set firefox to stack my tabs one after the other so that I do not have to move through tabs using the buttons at the ends

    when I open multiple tabs which do not fit the tab strip I have to move through tabs using scroll buttons. is there any way way I can stack the tabs on each other or suggest me a add-on which can help me achieve this

    You can consider to access the tabs via the list all tabs button.
    You see the "List All Tabs" button in current Firefox versions if there are that many tabs open that you get the Tab bar scroll buttons appearing.
    * Permanent List-all-tabs Button: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/permanent-listalltabs/
    The Custom Tab Width extension adds CSS rules to adjust the tab width settings as set by the browser.tabs.tabMinWidth and browser.tabs.tabMaxWidth prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.
    * Custom Tab Width: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/custom-tab-width/
    You can achieve the same with code in userChrome.css.
    The customization files userChrome.css (user interface) and userContent.css (websites) are located in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.

  • Timed video out through firewire?

    Hey everyone,
    In Final Cut Pro 5, is there a way to set print to video on a timer? For example, print to video on Friday at 2PM.... Or simply, just play the entire video in the timeline at a specific time?
    I'm assuming not, so does anyone know of any program out there that can play Quicktime videos out through Firewire on some kind of timer system?
    I know this is an unusual request... and I can explain why exactly I want this if anybody wants me to, but it's kind of a long story =)
    Any suggestions would be great!
    Thanks,
    Dean.

    You can easily set up an Automator script to work with an iCal event...
    use the script for PLAY MOVIE instead of record new video that I used here:

    The video was done in haste... and there are a few errors in it... but you'll get an idea of what to do.

  • JTabbedPane - traversing focus through tabs

    I would like to have focus traverse through tabs in a JTabbedPane. That is, when the focus is on the last component of a tab, hitting the key for forward focus traverse should bring up the next tab and focus on the first component on that tab. I'm already using a custom FocusTraversalPolicy on the panel containing the JTabbedPane, which handles focus traversal between the components on the tabs. This policy has no knowledge of which tab a particular component is on.
    I was hoping calling requestFocusInWindow() would automagically focus that tab, but it doesn't. Needless to say, having the focus traversal policy cycle through all the components (including those in non-selected tabs) doesn't work, either. Is there an elegant way to do this, without resorting to listening to key events, watching for the TAB key, and switching to the appropriate tab?

    Ok. here is my suggestion.
    When the focus is going to be transferred to the other tab use tabpane.setSelectedComponent(nextPanel), it will trigger traverse policy once again, but we will catch the fact that current component is JPanel and transfer it further to our field.
    Following code looks ugly:
    order.add(tf1);
    order.add(tf2);
    parentsForward.put(p,tf1);
    parentsBackward.put(p,b2);but this is a concept demonstration only, you can hide this piece inside TraversalPolicy implementation.

  • Scrolling through tabs in Firefox without opening them

    With many tabs open we get two arrows on top of the screen to scroll left and right through tabs by clicking with the mouse. Please see the attached image for an example.
    Is there a keyboard shortcut for those arrows or is it possible to add one?
    Note: I am aware that we can scroll through tabs directly with Alt+[Num], or by using Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDown. I have dozens of tabs open, so if I want to go to tab 35 I can't use Alt+[Num], and using Ctrl+PgDn is a problem if I'm say in tab 65. The reason is that with Ctrl+PgDn the tabs from 65 back to 35 would all open while I'm passing through them.

    Image wasn't attached properly and I can't seem to edit the question. Here it is.
