It's suggested that oine article does not go over 100Mo (Bringhurst's advice, can't find the link but he said it )
on my side i have no choice for one of my articles to upload a 130 Mo mp4 as well, and believe me, it's a **** in the *** : it takes a LOT of times, and does not upload on the ipad (welle, someimtes it does, but when something is change n the article and upadates, sometimes it does not)

  • Is there a maximum size for Keynote files

I want to make sure my Keynote files are functioning well.  Is there a maximum size, under which they function best?  (either a number of slides, or MB/memory).
I've created the Keynote files on my iPad2, then uploaded them to my iMac desktop, used the "Reduce File Size" option on desktop Keynote, saved, then downloaded onto my iPhone4, and I'm "projecting" the files onto an Apple TV 2.
    Thanks!

There's a mathematical limit due to the architecture of PDF object references but it's way beyond anything you could create in practice. Because the Acrobat Family are 32-bit applications you'll find there are performance issues if the file count gets too high - exactly when that becomes a problem depends on both the files and the hardware opening them, but given an XLSX file isn't displayed within the Portfolio (other than as an icon) it'll be less of an issue then if the files were PDFs, videos, etc.

  • Customizing Paging File: what is the recommended initial and maximum size?

    Hi everyone, and Harm,
Following Harm's response to my question about how to setup disks, Harm said this:
"disk allocation: It is a three stage process, first you define the boot order in the BIOS, then you format the disks inWindows and allocate drive letters, then still in Windows you setup the pagefile. Then the allocation of media cache, preview, project etc. is done in the preferences and project setup of PR."
and I have a question about paging file.
First let me say describe my new machine, it has a 4 disc setup, no RAID, 16GB RAM, with OCZ-Vertex3 for OS & Programs, i.e. i have installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit on this disc, and Web Premium CS5 and Acrobat Pro 9. In BIOS, i have made the OCZ (OS) disk, be the priority in the Boot order.
Later, after verifying the system is in working order, i will upgrade to Classic Collection CS5.5, so at this point, i have named my 3 additional disks as such,
    WDC WD 2002FAEX-007BA0 - "Media Projects(D)"
WDC WD 1002FAEX-00Y9A0 - "Pagefile, Media Cache (E)"
    WDC WD 1002FAEX-00Y9A0 - "Previews, Exports(F)"
So, for now these are simply names, which i have given to the various disks, and now i am changing the paging file, switching it from happening in the OS disk, in order to happen inthe disk which (via Premier, later) will be designated for Media Cache.
So, in Windows Performance Options pane, I went to Advanced tab, & under Virtual memory I hit "change", uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives, select drive E, which is the disk that's to have the paging file happen in it.
And the question, assuming that i am supposed to select Custom size, can you Harm, or/and others, please recommend the Initial and Maximum sizes?
Or, should i select "System managed size"?
    Thanks:)

Keep in mind Video/Animation applications use more ram now than almost any other type and there are far more memory hungry services running in the background as well. Consider the normal recommendations are for standard applications. HD material changed far more than just the need for 64Bit memory addressing.

  • Is there a maximum size per iMovie event in iMovie '09?

I merged two iMovie events into one (on an external hard drive), backed it up on a second external hard drive, and found that all the clips in that event on both the original ext drive and the backup drive had lost the sound. The clips played in iMovie without sound. After exploring multiple workarounds to recover the sound, I split the problematic event into 2 events, and the sound returned for all the clips?!? These are very large high rez video clips (long interviews). Is there a maximum size for the content of an event? Or does anyone have another idea/explanation why the sound was not playing along with the clips? Thanks for any help.

I have over 4TB with no problems. Having many events is not likely to cause a problem.

  • What's the maximum size and length that go onto a DVD

I'm trying to put a whole load of home videos onto DVDs. What is the maximum size that can be burnt onto a DVD. There are a lot of hours on here, about 15 and I was hoping to try and get about 3 hours per DVD is this possible?
    Thanks
    Tom

If you're referring to a video DVD which will plan on a TV set via a DVD player then a single layer DVD disk can hold 120 minutes of playing time which includes the basic material and any animated menus in the project.
A double layer disk can hold 240 minutes.
If you are creating a data disk with the files copied to it then its a matter of grouping the files into batches of either slightly less than 4.7 GB for single layer and 9.4 GB for double layer.
if you're referring to  video DVD discs follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • Maximum size of a datafile

What is the maximum size we can give to a datafile?

    user8850066 wrote:
What is the maximum size we can give to a datafile?Use this clause to determine whether the tablespace is a bigfile or smallfile tablespace. This clause overrides any default tablespace type setting for the database.
A bigfile tablespace contains only one datafile or tempfile, which can contain up to approximately 4 billion (232) blocks. The maximum size of the single datafile or tempfile is 128 terabytes (TB) for a tablespace with 32K blocks and 32TB for a tablespace with 8K blocks.
A smallfile tablespace is a traditional Oracle tablespace, which can contain 1022 datafiles or tempfiles, each of which can contain up to approximately 4 million (222) blocks.

  • What is the maximum size of a .swf flash file that can be created for DMM

    Please help,
I am running DMM 5.2.1 and was wondering what is the maximum size of a .swf file that can be created and play SMOOTHLY on the screens (screen dimension 1366 x 768px).
    Kind regards.

    Hi Nicholas,
You can refer to the content creation best practices documented at the following link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/video/digital_media_systems/5_x/5_2/dmd/best/practices/guidelines.html#wp1168116
    As you can read there:
    - if the SWF file size is greater than 500KB, you may start to see high memory consumption on the DMP.
    - regarding resolutions, the SWF can be up to 1920 x 1080 when animations within the SWF are small and are restricted to a 640x480 region.

  • Hard Drive Maximum Size Supported

    Hello,
I'm have a MacBook Aluminum (MB466LL/A) and I would like to upgrade my Hard Drive to a 1TB.
The question is: This MacBook accepts a hard drive with this size? Anyone here knows the maximum size supported?
    Regards!
    Felipe Perez

Yes, the model 5,1 can use a 12.5mm high hard drive. There's no limit to the GBs of the drive only the physical height. This is the only MacBook model that can use that high of a drive. All the rest are limited to 9.5mm high.
    Here's a video on the installation http://eshop.macsales.com/installvideos/macbook_13_unibody/

  • What is maximum size of attachments?

    Hi,
Does Mail determine the maximum size of attachment I can send or is that down to my ISP (Telefonica in Tenerife)? I have been trying to send a video It is 177Mb If I can find out what the maximum size I can send is I can trim it down. Thanks for the advice

Mail has no limit on an attachment size. It would be up to your email provider, and they almost always have a limit on the overall size any given message can be. You'll have to ask Telefonica, but I'd almost guarantee that they will not allow an attachment anything close to 177MB. Most providers I'm familiar with have a maximum size of 3MB to 10MB.
I doubt that you'll get your video compressed down to a size you can email without reducing the quality to the point of unwatchability, so I'd suggest posting the video to a web site so that your recipient can download it that way.

  • If Dimension exceeds maximum size then what will we do???

    Hi Experts,
If Dimension exceeds maximum size then what will we do???
My dought was how to increase the dimension size in SSAS 2008 R2???
           i am using SQL SERVER 2008 R2.
i had faced this question in one of the interview.so,Could you explain with an example.
    Best Regards,
    sirikumar

You can't exceed the maximum, else you get error. The maximum is a huge number:
    Object
    Maximum sizes/numbers
    Databases in an instance
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    Dimensions in a database
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    Attributes in a dimension
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    Members in a dimension attribute
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    User-defined hierarchies in a dimension
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    Levels in a user-defined hierarchy
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647
    Cubes in a database
    2^31-1 = 2,147,483,647

  • Set Maximum size for a subpanel created with splitter bars in LV8

Does anyone know how to set the Maximum size for a subpanel created with asplitter bar? If I show one cluster in the subpanel and use the scroll bar to scroll, I can see more (blank) area than I want. I just want the user to be able to scroll a cluster within a subpanel while the cluster is larger than the view area of the subpanel. I don't want to let the user scroll outside the cluster.
    Ravi Beniwal

I apologize for the mixup in terminology. Please read Pane wherever the word Subpanel was used.
Please see the attached VI for a description of my problem.
I would really appreciate any help with this.

  • Set maximum size in Text Form Field Options for a field in bi publisher RTF

    Hi All,
How to set maximum size in Text Form Field Options for a field in bi publisher RTF.
I have a RTF whch is having a field in that i need to add some validation condition but after adding certain condition in Add help text tab ,it is not accepting after certain length, how i can increase the length to unlimited, please help me on this
    Thnaks

Form fields have some restrictions if your are using version lower than 11g.
They can accommodate only 393 chars. You can add the text in both status bar and help key, which can in total consume 393 chars.
If your code logic is more than that, it can be split into multiple form fields as Avinash suggested or you can use sub template logic and handle coding over there. Again in sub template code can be within/outside form fields.
So there is no option for user to increase the size of form field.

  • SharePoint Foundation 2010 maximum size WID

    Hi,
I've installed SharePoint Foundation 2010 using the Windows Internal Database. I'm a bit confused about the maximum size of the database. On several websites I read that the max size for an SQL express database is 4GB.
Is this the same as the Windows Internal Database? Or can it grow bigger?

Are you sure you mean the Windows Internal Database? The SharePoint foundation installer will install SQL Server Express edition.

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Security Event Log Maximum Size

I have a customer with logging requirements on domain controllers that are exceeding the maximum log size they have configured for the security log.  When they attempted to increase the maximum size of the security event log via Group Policy, the settings
did not take effect.  When an attempt was made to increase the security event log manually on the domain controller via the properties of the log, an error is generated whenever the value was changed.
The Maximum Log Size specified is not valid.  It is too large or too small. The Maximum Log Size will be set to the following: 196608 KB
The 196608 KB value is the value that it is currently set at.  Testing on other logs, application, system, has lead to the same result.
wevtutil.exe sl security /ms:<n> produces similar results.  There is no error message given but the value doesn't change when you run wevtutil.exe gl security
When viewing the registry value MaxSize under HKLM\Current Control Set\Services\EventLog\Security the change is reflected, but the log does not seem to get any larger.
What one would expect to be a two minute change in a group policy object has turned into something much more difficult.  Any idea what could be causing this?
Joseph M. Durnal MCM: Exchange 2010 MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator, Exchange 2010 MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator

I verified that it was not another policy - the domain is pretty simple without many policies, only policies applied are:
Default Domain Policy (no event log settings)
Company Domain Policy (no event log settings)
Default Domain Controller Policy (no event logs settings)
Company Domain Controller Policy (...\Event Log\Maximum security log size 4194240 kilobytes)
The value was 196608 before, the plan was to change the group policy setting to 4194240 and I expected it to be that easy.  However, the values didn't change.
    4194240 is divisible by 64
Used multiple tools to try and change
    Group Policy
    Event Viewer
    wevtutil.exe
    registry editor
While some of the methods display a larger event log, the actual size of the event log still seems to be limited to 196608 kb.
    Thanks,
    Joe

  • How can i increase the maximum size of a text column in Access

    hello,
i am inserting data in the MS-Access database through my servlet and am getting the exception whenever the length of the text data is more than 255 characters as in Access the maximum size for character data column is 255 can anyone tell me if there is any way by which i can increase the maximum limit of the column size in Access ,i.e. to make it more than 255.

A text field in Access has a maximum size of 255 characters. If you want to store text information in Access larger than 255, you need to use the memo rather than text data type. There are special considerations for using an Access memo data type and accessing it through JDBC. Specifically, I believe it must be accessed as a binary object (BLOB), rather than text when using the JDBC-ODBC bridge. There are lots of discussions within these forums regarding how to manage, and the issues with using the Access memo data type.
    Good luck!
