Video not saving in iOS 8

I have a brand new iPhone 6 running iOS. Slow motion and time lapse videos save fine. But when I take a normal video and stop recording it just vanishes - nothing gets saved to the camera roll. Found this out the hard way when I really needed to take a video of something. Between my iPhone and my Mac I'm constantly pulling my hair out with bugs... where on earth has Apple's quality control gone? Please someone give me an idea of what could be going on.

Honestly, I don't expect Apple to fix it anytime soon. I did submit a formal bug report though. I have so many other issues with my Mac, iPhone... it's insane. One OS is completely broken and then Apple releases a whole new version with new problems instead of fixing the existing one. If I wasn't locked in now due to the hearing aids, I'd probably just ditch the Apple eco-system altogether. It's almost comical when there's a serious bug with an Apple product and you've got users on this thread coming up with these complex command line resolutions to things apple should be fixing.
Case in point - no one from Apple has responded to this thread yet.
Make sure everyone clicks the "I have this question to" at the top to make it more visible to Apple.
Maybe going through the hearing aid manufacturer and complaining there would be a better bet...
I'd be curious to know if it's just hearing aids or any BT / BLE device. I have a pair of BT headphones stashed somewhere. If I can find them I'll try testing it.

  • Videos not saved in the Video app

My videos got saved in the Photos app under Albums:all imported/last imported/saved photo.
Videos from SD Card are saved in ...imported
Videos as email attachment are saved in... Saved photos
Why are videos saved in the Photo app and not in the Video app and how do I save them in the video app?
By tweaking some preferences settings somewhere?

All saved images and videos are saved into the photos app... The only way to get them into the videos app is through the computer...
I have a suspicion that it is done this way so that photos handles all the importing/saving aside from iTunes... It simplifies the location of a full import from a camera, otherwise, the iPad would have to decide if the video is compatible and then decide on the app rather than a simple one stop shop...

  • Video not saved can anyone help me

i was recording a video , then suddenly i recieve a message(sms) i accidentaly clicked the msg to view it...and the video i was recording is not saved in camera roll...can anyone can tell me if ther is a chance i can recover that video... pleasee

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). The function that isn't on the side switch is set via control centre instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

  • Imported video not responding in IOS and mobile devices

    Hi there
I have done this interactive graphic:
    http://ing.dk/infografik/grafik-se-de-graverende-fejl-paa-kampflyet-joint-strike-fighter-1 74989
But the video does not respond in IOS and is very slow on iPad.
What could be wrong? The video is a MP4. Should it be set to preload?
    Hope for your answer/advice.
    Martin

That is the problem of html5 video in mobile.
It does not preload and does not autoplay.
It can only be played by a direct user event action ( like click )
There are no work arounds for this, and its made so people on mobile, do not waste there mobile internet on videos.

  • Embedded MP4 videos not playing in iOS Safari

    Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem with embedded MP4 videos (e.g. YouTube videos) not playing correctly in Safari. When I try to play one, I get one of two problems:
    1. On my (first gen) iPad, Safari usually crashes.
    2. On my iPhone 4, videos will load but only play audio, not video, though when I tap on the screen the "play" and "pause" symbols appear.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Or know how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Ok, I fixed it. Go to some embedded Flash video, click to run and then right click to get Global Settings for Flash. Go into Storage and make sure you aren't blocking any data from being stored on your computer. At the very least choose the "ask me" setting. (For good measure I also went into Advanced and clicked to Delete All Data associated with Flash. But when I restored Block for data storage the videos stopped working, so that seems to be the answer.) I'd be interested to hear if this works for others.

  • Video not saved after iphone went flat, anyway to recover?

Hi, i was recording a 5 minute video and my iPhone 4 died. I once heard there is a way to recover the file due to it doesnt not show in the camera roll.
    Any help would be appreicated.
    Regards

Please explain how you  "saved it, and opened it again" as there is no "save" in the iOS versions of the application. It saves as you go, and reopens from your last open document.
Same goes for "When i click on open recent" there is no "open recent" in the iOS version.
Are you sure your in the correct forum? This sounds like a desktop issue if your using those commands.
    Thanks
    Jason

  • Where are my videos? Ipad videos not saving after long recording time.

I have been trying to set my ipad up as a surveillance camera to observe animal activity at night at my zoo.  However, after letting the video app record for an hour or more, it shows that I have used storage space, but the video is not in my photos/videos folder.  I am using the light boost app, and it appears to be recording properly. I have successfully recorded videos 10 mins in length, but if I let it run for a long period of time, the videos do not appear.
Is there a limitation on the recording length? Why would it show the app has used up all my memory when the videos are not being saved? Or are they being saved in some mysterious place?
Additionally, does anyone know of a better way to do this? I have a very limited budget, and am trying to avoid buying expensive surveillance equipment or video cameras.
    Thanks

According to Light Boost the videos are being stored in the Photos - Camera Roll to which you must give access permission see Settings > Privacy. Permission to use the microphone is also necessary.
If you are having problems contact Light Boost for help.

  • Camera video not saved after installing 8.02 on iPhone6

Videos were being saved prior to installing the last update.
Video and slow-mo ARE NOT being saved to "Photos App" either in "Collections" or "Albums->Videos" after the update.
    Photos are being saved.
I tried a "Home/Power Button" reset and a full reset in setting (erase all content and settings) followed by restoring from backup.
    Still broken!
    Why else can I try?

  • Youtube Music Videos Not Available on iOS?

    Hello,
I have an iPad and an iPhone, and none of the VEVO youtube videos or music videos in general can be played on the youtube app. It will say that this movie could not be played. Also, if you try to watch them through the browser version of youtube through safari, it tells me that I need flash (yeah I know) but if I play any other youtube video on desktop youtube it won't tell me about flash, and will just play. It seems like any youtube video with music cannot be played on iOS. Is youtube deliberately blocking music videos from iphones and ipads, or is this apple wanting you to pay money in itunes, or is it a glitch on my end?
    Thanks

You can convert them to mp3 or iphone formay through a program called free studio manager

  • Torch9800 Picture & Video not saving correctly

I updated the software on my phone a few weeks ago, which resulted in the phone turning itself off constantly. I resolved this issue.
However, when I take a picture it looks as if its saved, but when I go to the media files a little later all I see is a picture icon not the actual picture.
When I use the video camera it seems to save and I have been able to view once or twice, but after a period of time the file turns into a music file with no video. This has resulted in several videos of my baby daughter being lost and being replace by the same music. Very upsetting.
I have followed the advice on the forum by deleting .dat files from the folders. This has resulted in the pictures taken since the upgrade disappearing altogether.
Theonly way I can keep a picture is by emailing it to myself instantly.
If anyone can help it would make me very happy
    Best wishes
    Nik

    Hi niknaknoo,
    Welcome to the Support Community!
If you have access to a computer, I would suggest transferring your media files from your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9800 smartphone to the computer and performing the steps in this KB article. "Media card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card is formatted" http://bbry.lv/NA6MGt
The following KB articles should help you transfer your media files to a computer.
"How to manually transfer files between a BlackBerry smartphone and a Windows computer" http://bbry.lv/ID3oqw
"How to manually transfer files between a BlackBerry smartphone and a Macintosh computer" http://bbry.lv/J9AMal
    Hope this helps.

  • HT4557 Video Home sharing is not working in IOS 7

iPad video sharing worked with IOS 6 without any issues. With IOS 7 on the iPad Video Shared can not connect with my iTunes Library. Home sharing is enabled on my mac mini and working because my 2 AppleTV's are working. The instructions for setting up Moble Video Home Sharing is outdated from IOS 5 and both the instructions and the IOS 7 video sharing issues need to be resolved.

Works fine for me on my iPad and iPhone.
Did you turn it on on the iPad?

We are unable to reproduce the issue,  both orientation events CHANGE and CHANGING are fired, could you please answer following questions:
Does the video rotates to landscape in native mode? if not then it may be the case that "autoOrients" tag value is set to 'false' in application xml .
Could you please share the version of your swf file and the name space you are using in application xml.
Could you please share the exact iOs device and its OS version you are using .

  • After  watch a video in "full screen mode" and the video shrinks back into the eBook view, HALF of the TOP Title Bar DISAPPEARS, But it does not happen with ios 6.1

After  watch a video in "full screen mode" and the video shrinks back into the eBook view, HALF of the TOP Title Bar DISAPPEARS, But it does not happen with ios 6.1

The Mac has never needed "Full Screen". It has done multiple screen Extended Desktop since 1987.
Full screen is an iPhone feature, carried into this verion with the mult-touch gestures and other so-called "unifying" features.
