Video Not Supported

I have a 2TB NAS drive with over 300 hundred movies on. Sometimes when I try to watch a movie with ATV I get the message on the screen that the video format is not supported (when its fine they are all m4v) I go to itunes and see an ! next to the movie, so I click on this and the movie starts in itunes, go back to the ATV and re-start the move and hey presto...it works.
Does anyone know of a solution for this problem?

Me three. Also, for the past several months, my Apple TV randomly gets disconnected from iTunes at least once a day. It really cuts into the convenience factor when I have a 3-year-old daughter wanting to see a certain movie. Suddenly DVDs don't look so bad when, in order to get the Apple TV working properly, I have to go over to another room, switch users on the iMac to the one that has the library of iTunes flicks, quit iTunes and restart iTunes to get it to reconnect with the Apple TV. Several months ago, it never had this problem. Anyone else dealing with this?

  • FLV supporting but .mp4 (H.264 encoded) video not supporting in mobile browser?

    Hi
I want to know one things, is there any other settings required to publish the swf file for playing mp4 file in mobile browser also. I am able to play ".FLV" in mobile browser but not able to play ".MP4" (H.264 encoded)  in my mobile browser.
MP4 file required Flash Player 10 to play video I know this,I can watch video from youtube.com in mobile bowser also.
Please look at the following url which is not opening in Mobile browser but can open in computer broswer.
    http://karzzzz.bigflix.com/m/
I want the above url to be play in both computer and mobile browser also as it calling  .mp4 file from Flash Media Server.
    Thanks
    Sunil Kumar Sah

Are you using Flash Lite Plug-in or Flash Player Plug-in on your mobile browser. I have a feeling that you are using Flash Lite Plug-in and flash lite plug-in (latest is 4.0 i suppose) does not support H264 encoded files.
MP4 file which you are playing from youtube might not be H264 encoded , it might be On2 VP6 which is supported in MP4 container.

  • Can't import mpeg video - not supported

    Production Premium user.
The whole purpose of multitracking against video is useless as I've just found out Audition does not support MPEG MPEG-2.
I went to the Apple site where I was led to believe that buying the
QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component for Windows
would give me a fix to the QuickTime component - nope - just wasted £15 on an add-on that doesn't work. The player opens and plays as if it were reading the file but no video (black) - and no audio. Apple, please can I have my £15 back?
Anyone else really hacked off with this, especially having sat watching a "Senior Evangelist" gush about how great Audition is for Multitacking against video.

Hey Steve, thanks for your reply, but not to leave you out...
Your comment "...because I don't do video..."
Now here's me thinking that Production Premium with Prem Pro and AE etc was geared toward video editors and video producers like me... So the inclusion of an application like Audition is aimed at a wider market. Hey Ho... Rather like Canon finding that their DSLRs could do HDV video (but not very well) but had other USPs.
    Report Back:
<File> <Sequence... Right Click Edit Adobe Audition...Sequence> <Export without or with Preview Video>
Defaults to AVI... AVI if left up to its own render is rubbish - pixilated and low def - especially when you're used to working in HDV. And just try undocking the video panel to a 32-inch plasma - oh no...
Reformatting to H.264 and importing H.264 it just can't handle cross application satisfactorily. Stutter playback - in Audition - and outside using an undocked panel.
I operate i7 hex intel 970 24GB tri channel RAM and 5 drive HDD with SSD OS on Windows 7.
This is just not an application which can claim Multitrack mixing to video sync - okay perhaps in the DV and those early days but not now. Rather reminds me of old high-end audio console digital software - always maintained its not the the software but the user. It rather looks like you development guys just didn't think this was important - well not in the short-term.
Not good enough for my needs. Steve - I don't know what you use Audition for but it's not professsional video applications - as you state. But thank you for replying.
6/10, and only for the fact it tried but fell over.
Edit: Forgot to add I'm also running Nvidia GTX580 1.5GB Video Card.

  • Error 0xBFF60492 on IMAQ USB snap.vi RT Video not support displaying selected color depth

Attempting to snap a picture with NI-IMAQ for USB in LabVIEW 8.0  using the following procedure.
1)I get the first enumerated camera, 2) open a session, with returned
    string [0], 3) start a session, 4) snap a picture and 5) close
vi.  My problem is that in step 4 with the IMAQ USB Snap.vi, I get
    the following error.
Error -1074396014 occurred at IMAQ USB snap.vi
The image passed is not valid.
    Possible Reasons(s):
IMAQ Vision: (Hex 0xBFF60492) RT Video Out does not support displaying the supplied image type at the selected color depth.
I give the snap.vi an Image in from rightclick->Create->Control
or rightclick->Create->Constant.  The output image (on the
    Front Panel) created by rightclick->Create->Indicator.
LabVIEW should insert the correct data structure to match the expected
input/output, and there is nothing I can that changes he color
depth.  The GetImageInfo.vi reports that the camera is set up for
4 Bytes Per Pixel, with the rectangle 352x288.
Also the error message refers to RT Video Out, but I am using USB.  This distinction is significant in NI Vision Assistant.

    Hello together,
I wanted to use a Sanyo Xacti CG 10 video camara in LabView.
By using the NI-IMAQ for USB Snap I get the following error: IMAQ Vision: (Hex 0xBFF60492) Ungültige Blit-Funktion des Videoausgangs.
Is it possible, that I can not use this camera in LabView?
Thanks a lot for your reply

  • DLNA with TV LED 46VL748 - Video not supported ?

    Hi,
Have you experienced problems with the DLNA functionality of TV LED 46VL748 ?
This utility works well with Photos and Music but does not support any SD Video like simple AVI or MP4 (tested with DivX3, DivX6 and AVC)
I have a NAS (QNAP TS-439) with UPNP Twonkymedia server running and Videos are playing well with other UPNP client like my iPhone (with Twonky Mobile) or my PC.
I have the latest firmware already installed on my TV.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Phil

    Hi
    Users manuals - http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/VL748-4046-English.pdf
If you check users manuals on page 52 you will find a list of all supported formats for DLNA playback.
As I can see mp4 is listed there but there is also remark that some files may not be played.
    What does it mean exactly?
Because of the huge encoding on format options, which exist in the market, TOSHIBA cannot guarantee, that each file-type mentioned in the list, will also work in practice.
What you can try is to transfer your files into other supported format listed in manuals and test the functionality again.
Firmware upgrade will not help much. Decoder chips used in TVs are embedded and limited to its specification. Fact is that these decoder chipsets cannot be upgraded afterwards.
Please try to change files format and test it again. It would be nice if you can send some feedback.

  • Skype video not supported on external lcd monitor

I would like to use the camera on my Apple LCD monitor with Skype, but video seems not to be supported.

Seeing as how Skype is not an Apple product, you might have a much better chance of an answer if you go to Skype for help.

  • Why does this video not support on my ipod?

Hey, i imported a video with handbrake and decided to put in the chapter markers. But this video when i added it to itunes and i plug my ipod in, it says that it isn't able to transfer it onto my ipod because my ipod doesn't support this kind of video. This video should work because the bitrate is 1500kbps and 160kbps for audio. The size is 720x384. And i have other videos that size on my ipod so i know this isn't the problem. But i just need to know why this is happenin.

The error $ is not defined means that the jQuery library isn't loading correctly. The page is loading the library from Google rather than from the site itself.
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove your google.com cookies (save any pending work first). You can call up the cookie dialog anywhere on google.com using:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Or if you call it up from another site, change the site in the search box at the top of the dialog to google.com. Then you can remove your Google cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
If jQuery still won't load, review your extensions for any designed to reduce cross-site interactions or targeting Google or privacy. You can review those here:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

  • Trouble with loading videos - Manually manage music and videos not supported now with iOS5 and a 1st gen iPad?

Since updating my iPad 1st gen to iOS5.0.1 videos don't get loaded properly into the Videos app.
On the Summary page in iTunes of my docked iPad, I have always checked the box for "Manually manage music and videos".
I have my reasons for doing it this way, but that's for another thread perhaps.
The problem is that when I load a video to my iPad this way - by simply just dragging it from the desktop and onto the iPad, under Devices in iTunes - it copies/updates, and shows up on the iPad like it always has before iOS5. But now, with iOS5, when I undock, it can't be found anywhere within the Videos app on the iPad. The only way I can find it is to do a Search, which seems to find it, but when I click it, a different video plays - the first video in the Movies list in the Video app. Dock the iPad again, yes the video is there, according to iTunes, but no way to play it once iPad is undocked.
My suspicion is that with iOS5 you are no longer able to use the "Manually manage music and videos (Mmm&v)" that you will be forced to run everything through iTunes - and probably iCloud. I've unchecked the Mmm&v box, and get prompted with "Are you sure? - All existing content on the iPad will be replaced with content from your iTunes library". READ - "Rebuild your entire video and music collection, and this time run it all through iTunes. Welcome to iOS5. Have a nice day or two wasting your time rebuilding your entire video and music collection. Don't fight it. Use iTunes for everything! Until we finally make iTunes a decent piece of digital media management software, then you'll have to do it all again."
Okay, rant over - Anyone out there with running iOS5 on a 1st gen iPad with the Mmm&v option checked and able to load a video manually (not through iTunes)? Any other thoughts?
    Thanks

Yea, i managed to fix my issue in a wild fashion way But I DONT suggest it to anyone.
I like to hear why it happened after upgrading iTunes and if there is any peaceful solution.
Bythe way, here is how i fixed it :
1-i checked "manually manage music and videos" checkbox and clicked on "Sync" button
2-It showed a threating message that it will erase my music and videos ,......
3-I clicked on OK button and let iTunes do any thing she said , but the second it started to delete my treasures from my iphone, i disconnected my phone by pulling USB cable.
Now i have my musics and videos untouched and got that Option enabled again and i can manage my Music/Videos and Books manually.

  • HDMI video not supporting on nokia n8

    Hi Team,
My H/S is Nokia N8,No doubt about the performance, however have downloaded HDMI video but not working..
Can I know what format would be working and what format shall I download

I think you are mistaken. HDMI is not a video format. HDMI is an output port for fast data transfer. What exactly did you download anyway?
If you find my post helpful please click the green star on the left under the avatar. Thanks.

  • 3gp and avi videos not supported by Zune

    Hi all,
Currently Zune supports only mp4 format.
Zune cant able to sync other video formats.
Even the files cant be downloaded from Internet Explorer.
I contacted nokia. They said Phone will support all these formats.
My question is that, there is no way to import such video formats into phone.
    Then, how can i play???
When i download video, it simply plays. But cant able to download into phone.

There is more to a video file then it's extension, lots of codecs out there. I'd like to see native support for more codecs but until that happened. Use a program to convert the videos to MP4.
A great program to do this is which also happens to be free and one of the best programs for conversion is HandBrake. Some advantages, videos play amazing when converted to the native format. If you want you can also scale the video to match the resolution of the phone (800x480) which will produce smaller file allowing you to store more videos on your phone.
    You can download it here.

  • Classic won't play videos - not supported.  Played fine before!!!

I haven't updated my ipod in a while.  I wanted to add a few songs so I updated it.  I had tons of videos on it that have been playing since I got it.  It erased all my videos and now is telling me it can't put them back on because my ipod doesn't support them.  What's up with that?  How do I get my videos back on my ipod.

They should though. That suggests that something went wrong with the upgrade because I'm running the latest version of iTunes and don't have any problems syncing videos to my iPod Classic.
Either way, glad to hear it is at least working again for you.
