Video oddity in IPad 2

I downloaded the 4 Pirates of the Caribbean series and had great fun with the 1st 2. When I get to the final battle in the whirlpool of the 3rd movie the movie stops, the screen goes black, and I cannot exit to the video application. When I press the Home button, and then the videos icon, I again get a black screen. If I power down and try again with the Videos application I get a black screen. This means I cannot delete the movie to download again. Any suggestions out there?
I have updated my 'toy' to the latest OS.
Sincerely
Peter

On your PC, log into your Account under iTunes Store -  (section=Home) and then click on the quicklink at right.  Once in - click on Purchase history and view your purchases. There is a link to report a problem.  If a film will not play, (or you have been incorrectly charged etc).  There is always the odd chance that the server from which your film is downloaded from does not have a complete copy, or has a corrupt copy.  Alerting the store to your problem should enable an alternative download for you.  If they can do this then note it may be necessary to locate your media library folder on your PC and then delete the original damaged copy first.  iTunes Store should be able to advise on the correct course of action.
I have had incomplete films myself once or twice - but usually the store detects it and automatically notifies that there is still a download pending when clicking on 'Check for downloads'.
Since your other films play alright - the logic seems to be that the film file is damaged in some way.
Best regards, Ct

I got bulks of videos in my ipad 2, how can i look at my videos in list display? It's hard for me to look through my gallery with grid display..
    any ideas?

There is no list display option. If there were such an option, it would likely be available within the Videos app.

  • After upgrading to iOS 5 I have no more Video on my iPad 2.

Hello! After upgrading to iOS 5 I have no more Video on my iPad 2. I can watch it only if my Macbook Pro with Wi-Fi and iTunes are turned on. How can I store it locally as before?

Same problem. I have a set of videos that I use for work. After my iCloud backup, they were gone. I connected my iPad to my mac and sync'd manually and they are back again. Now I'm confused: not sure where iCloud is working vs. local sync. For example music. Should I just uncheck the "Sync music" box in iTunes and just do it via iCloud? I'm having a hard time understanding iCloud and finding in depth documentation to learn how it works. And what about how iOS devices now sync with iTunes wirelessly? That's great. But what exactly do they sync? Obviously not my videos.

  • How do I transfer a home movie to videos on my ipad?

There's obviously a simple answer to my problem, but I can't seem to find it. I made a home movie on my mac. I shared it with iTunes. I then looked for it in videos on my ipad. No sign of it. I found it among the photos and videos in the camera section. How to I get this home movie into my videos. Homesharing is on, but clearly hasn't solved the problem. Do I have to sync my ipad with itunes on my mac? Seems a bit complicated for such a simple task. After all, I can email it to my family without a problem. Anyone tell me what I'm missing?

Have you tried clicking the share icon when it is selected (the box with and arrow at the top) to see if you get an option to "open in..." and then select videos app.
I have not done this so not sure it will work but an idea to try.

  • How can I transfer video from an iPad managed with Configurator?

We are using Apple Configurator to supervise and manage iPads at our school. If an iPad is assigned to a user, how can we transfer the video from the iPad (either the Camera Roll or iMovie app) to a Computer so the video can be saved to the user's network folder and then played on the classroom SmartBoard. I do have a video adapter to connect the iPad to the Smartboard, but there will be times when we just want to save the video file in a user's folder. When I connect the iPad to the MacBook Pro which we use to run Configurator, the iPad does not show up in iTunes. If I 'check-in' the iPad, will it transfer the video, and if so how/where?
Thank you! (Configurator certainly solves some issues, but seems to raise so many more!)

Thank you. We use Dropbox as well and discovered how easy it is to sync the Camera Roll from the iPad to a Dropbox account.
I also found out that videos & pics can be transferred using iPhoto on the computer where the iPads are synced. I've tried both options and they both work well.
    I'm all set!

  • How can I delete the list of watched videos on my iPad?

I have been watching videos on my ipad through the iTunes "home sharing" feature. It seems to work fine.
My problem is that I can't figure out how to delete the list (on the iPad) of videos that have been watched. Not only have I watched them but I have also deleted them from my iTunes movies list. I have tried syncing, signing out and back in to the iTunes store, turning off home sharing and then turning it back on again (which requires signing back in), all the while quitting out of the videos app and /or restarting the iPad before and after each of these steps.
The videos are shown as greyed-out icon/thumbnails in the iPad videos app. I am able to add new videos to iTunes, see them as not-greyed-out icons in the iPad app, and watch them. I just can't delete the shown list of the watched videos list on the iPad, which in the case of TV shows collect quite quickly and require lots of scrolling to get to the unwatched video icons.
    Thanks for your help!

    Yes, so...
I have also closed iTunes, reset network settings on the iPad, then shut down and restarted the iPad. Still, I end up with greyed out rectangular icons for all the movies I've ever streamed from my Mac Mini to my ipad via my home wireless router.
Again, I have watched all the way to the end of the movie, selcted the movie in iTunes and chosen "mark as watched", and then deleted it in ITunes.
    Any ideas?

  • HT3621 How do I sync my video app on iPad with iPod Touch?

Both the iPod Touch and the iPad2 have the video apps.  I have lots of videos on my iPod Touch that I'd like to sync with the iPad so that the iPad2 would then have a copy.  Both contain the 6.1.3 IOS.  Can I do this without having to just download fresh?

It these are videos that you purchased from iTunes you will have to download them again (if they are available for free downloads using the same ID) or transfer them to iTunes and then sync them to the iPad. If these are videos that you shot with the iPod Touch camera, you can use a WiFi Photo Transfer app like WiFi Transfer to send the videos to the iPad.

  • How can I stream the audio only to my Apple TV while watching the video on my iPad?

    Hi everybody!
My question might sound a little confusing to some of you, but anyway: When I watch a video on my iPad (youtube app, facebook, etc.) I would like to watch the video on my iPad and stream the audio to my atv, which is connected to my hifi. Currently, every time I hit the airplay button both video AND audio will be streamed.
Many people complain about only streaming audio, but that's precisely what I am looking for! I don't want to turn on my TV for every silly 0:30 min youtube video. I would love to find something like this:
    Cheers for any help!

you can't rely on airplay mirror some apps support the old in app airtune audio only option if the video app in question does you can do it from the apps settings somehow
if not then you need a airport express which does pretty much what airplay mirror on the Apple TV does but it's a audio only

  • How to export videos from the ipad on a SD card?

i Want to put some videos from my Ipad on a SDCard to give them to a friend, how should i do? Thank you.

The camera connection kit is for copying content to an iPad, it doesn't support copying content off it. Assuming that they are in the Photos app then you can copy them from your iPad to your computer, and from there to the SD card : Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support

  • How can I get an mp4 video running on iPad Mini?

How can I get an mp4 video running on iPad Mini, which is already in the iTunes File?

Pad2, the new iPad Supported Video Formats & Movie Formats
    H.264 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second, High Profile level 4.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
    MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • How can I see what I'm actually video recording on iPad Air so that I don't include extra stuff at the borders of the image? It seems to automatically "zoom in" on the screen, but when I export the video, the picture isn't framed well.

When I try to record a video on the Ipad Air, the screen automatically "zooms in" closer than when I'm taking a photo. So I frame the interview and record it. But when I export it to post it or edit it, I discover that only the screen was zoomed in, the camera wasn't, so I have all this extra stuff around the edges of my frame.
I don't need to zoom in, but I do need to be able to see what I'm shooting--otherwise, as I'm videotaping, I'm guessing at my picture's framing. But every time I switch from photo to video mode, the screen "zooms in." How can I see what I'm actually recording?
I've been searching for an answer for this for a while, but I can't find any responses to it! Thanks.

I just rented a video on my iPad and it's not showing up under rented videos. I have rented videos before. But don't know what to do. Help.

It should be in the Videos app
If not, are your age restrictions set up in the Settings >> General >> .......?
If your restrictions are turned on and you rented a PG18 rated movie or something, it won't show by design.

I have a large video on my ipad that I need to transfer to my PC (a window 7).  I could also use a windows 8 if that would help.  But all of the applications I have tried do not see this large video (52 mins) even though they transfer smaller videos fine.  The ipad will not let me trim the video, saying it is too large.  This is true even though I only want to trim the original, and not create a new video.  (Actually it refuses before it gets to the choice of creating something new or just eliminating something from the original).  I have been to an Apple store, but the people there only could recommend that I try some alternate applications to do the transfer (Kodak EasyShare).  I don't have much faith this will work.  I think I have this application on an old PC, and it is not something I want on my new computers.
Is it possibled the size of this video just violates the transfer formats for files over USB?  If so, I will just delete the video and move on.  But the video is really something I wanted to save.  I would be happy to eliminate most of the video, but the ipad will not let me trim it.
I also tried to import the video with Windows Moviemaker (free with W7).  It also does not see this file, but works fine on the other videos on the ipad.
