Hi pipspur! As I've mentioned you can have video capturing in your 8310 once you've device OS 4.5. You can have new OS once your carrier accepts the new OS officially from RIM. Though some other carriers OS can be installed but I will request you to wait till itsenabled for your carrier.
Hi Rukus372! just to let you know all of my device like pearl 8100 can also have video capturing capability as that is running os OS 4.5. In BlackBerry its OS which can add capabilties that you may not have at this moment.
important thing as cadillacdavilla mentioned having media card is must to capture video in BlackBerry.

    Hello,
The services you listed in your post will require a data plan which is provisioned by your wireless provider. You may want to contact your wireless provider to see if you have the correct plan.

  • Car cradle for Blackberry Curve 8310?

I have what may be kind of a silly question, but I'd love to find an answer. I have a Blackberry Curve 8310 that I LOVE and I just downloaded Telenav GPS for it. It works great, but I was wondering if there is some kind of cradle for my Blackberry that I can purchase so I can put it on my dash making it easier to see while driving?
    Thanks so much!!

I have the vent mount and love it. It is adjustable for different sizes. I had the 7290, 8700 and now the 8310 and it fits all of them good.

  • Blackberry curve 8310 it keeps freezing

    dear sirs:
i have a blackberry curve 8310  v.45.0.108  latest os for my carrier, i use  8gb card  for my music and pics, still have free space (4.8gb ) on my media card and on my device have free space (568667 bytes), i use several third app like windows live messenger, gmail app, ubbertwitter, google maps, facebook , wordpress and others. I  have had problem when using my applications for example if  I surf some bookmarks it freezes, if  im on windows live messenger it freezes every single messages it freezes for 6 seconds and then i received a message and  when i want so write back it freezes again, this happens with any kind o im app. when using facebook it freezes while searching profiles and messages, when replying, it continually freezes and appears a clock that never disappears, also with ubbertwitter it freezes. its pretty annonying  i dont know what to do. please help me with this

    Hi tinkerbell.
Misunderstanding.  You DON"T want your File Free to get below 15 mb.  Pulling your battery will help reclaim your lost memory.  Also, actually closing apps when not using them will return some of that memory for the device to use.
There is also a free app called Quickpull that will do this without your having to actually pull the battery. Check it out here: Quickpull
You can even have Quckpull set to do an auto restart. I have mine set to restart every morning at 4:30 so my BB is refreshed and ready to go each day. Sometimes, however, a real battery pull seems to do an even better job such as when you have installed any 3rd party apps or when your BB just feels sluggish from prolonged use (like posting in these forums smileyhappy:.
I would also suggest doing a backup of your device (good idea to backup frequently anyway) and getting a clean uninstall of DTM
    Clean uninstall of DTM
And then installing DTM WITHOUT Media Manager.  This will help to remove the types of problems you are encountering with MM.  Saves from having a large download too.
Once you have that done that. Enable mass storage mode on your BB:  Go to options-media card and change settings so they read:
    Media Card Support: On
    Encryption Mode: None
    Mass Storage Mode Support: On
Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode wehn Connected: On
Then, when you connect your BB via usb (have DTM open before connecting) a windows explorer box will open showing your media card as a new drive on your pc.  Just drag 'n drop your music or pics to the card from your pc.  Very easy.
Let us know how it goes!

  • Sync Problems with Blackberry Curve 8310

I am also having a problem sync my new Blackberry Curve 8310.   I previously had a Palm Treo 650.   I was finally able to sync the contacts from my Palm to my Blackberry.   I am assuming just like the Palm Treo software I can also view the contacts on my desktop, but I have not been able to view the contacts on the Blackberry Desktop Manager software.    Where do I view this information, that I might have downloaded, there is now tab for the software that allows me to manager my contacts and my calender.
I use Outlook express for my emails is there any way I can make the Outlook Express the primary software on my desktop for managing my contacts and my calender and being able to sync to my Blackberry.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
DM is not like the Palm Desktop in that there is no set of visual organizers (calendar-contacts-tasks-memos) to see.  DM serves to sync your data between the BB and another desktop application.
Here is a listing of the apps supported by the various versions of DM. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB12268&slic...
When I migrated over from my Treo 650, the Switch Device Wizard did not work.  As a workaround, I sync'd my Palm with Outlook 2003.  To do this I had to use the original cd that came with my Treo to change the conduits so the Palm Desktop sync'd with Outlook.  Not sure if I needed to use the cd to do this, I think you can change those setting in Palm Desktop, but make sure to map the fields well so your data imports into Outlook as you want it.  (The fields are a little different between Palm and Outlook).  ALWAYS make sure you get a good sync of your Palm data before doing any of this.  That way you'll have the data in the Palm Desktop as a backup.
Once I had the data sync'd to Outlook, I just had to set up the synchronization setting on DM to sync over to my BB.
Post back if you have any further questions.  Let us know how it goes.

  • My Blackberry Curve 8310 has no video recorder on it

I there a way to upgrade my phone so I can have a capable video recorder to record videos?

That's odd... I have AT&T and a Curve 8310; it has both a video and audio recorder built into it.  I could not access my video recorder until I bought and inserted a microSD card into the Curve.  The video camera's recordings take up a lot of memory compared to the camera, and if you don't have a memory card installed, this could be your problem.
If you do have a memory card with space on it, it's possible that the video recorder icon was accidentally hidden from view on the Home screen.  While in the Home screen, press the Menu button (to the left of the trackball) and make sure "Show All" is checked.  This will show you all icons, even the hidden ones; see if you can find the video camera icon among your list of icons.
FYI - You can also access the video recorder through the "Camera" icon.  Click on the Camera icon, then once the screen switches to camera viewfinder, click on the Menu button (left of the trackball) and select "Video camera."  This will then give you recording access to the video feature if your device has memory.

  • Video for BB Curve 8310

I need some help!  I work for an AT&T retail store.  I have a customer that has the Curve 8310.  She is unable to view videos on You Tube or CNN type pages.  She can receive a video via MMS but as far as viewing them on a webpage, cant do it.  I also tried it with my Curve 8310 and could log onto You Tube and pull up a video but could not watch it.  Is this something to do with the fact that AT&T does not support this level of access?  Does anyone have AT&T that could help me out??  Thanks so much!

To watch streaming video from such as YouTube.com, you will need to have OS 4.5 loaded on your BlackBerry. That will enable live video ability.
and then, you will use the mobile site, "m.youtube.com"
    Good luck.

    Hey tankbusta,
    Welcome to the forums.
What version of BlackBerry device software are you currently running on your device? You can get this information from Options - About.
You can see the system requirements for the new BlackBerry Messenger here:
A data service plan from your wireless service provider.
A BlackBerry smartphone with 64MB of memory.
    2.4MB of available smartphone memory.
BlackBerry Device Software v4.5 or later.
Let us know how you make out.

    Thanks in advance.

hello, you have a 8310. You must use an OS for the exact model. Using one for 8300 or 8330 will not work.

  • A few unrelated questions - Blackberry Curve 8310

Just got this phone Saturday and spent the day with the book and the cd.  i've got the basics, but the questions i still have are making me feel old and blonde.  So if you can please help?
silliest and probably most obvious first...
email - do you have to have paid support of email to register an email address on your curve?  Husband can put his in but i can't...the option doesnt even appear on my email set up.  Just Enterprise or later.
ringtones - i had them on my media card.  Put that into the new phone and assigned them all, no problem.  when i put in the desktop cd and tried to synch....my ringtones still WORK on my phone, meaning if they call i hear them.  i can see them on the desktop list, but when i go to media and ringtones it says NO RINGTONES...what happened?
also, while i was trying to show the husband how to do something on his phone, i inadvertently sent myself a VM, that was a recording of what i was telling him...how the heck did i do that.
sorry to be a bother, but i just can't seem to work out those bugs...
    sherry

    Congrats on the new Blackberry:
1: Email - Yes, you need to have a paid Blackberry service to use email.
2: Ringtones - it copied them to your blackberry itself
3: VM - I'm guessing you mean Voice Message and not Voice Mail. You clicked Voice Notes, recorded the message and then sent it to your husband. Its usually associated with a quick key and if not, it would be in your menu system.

  • Used blackberry curve 8310 help

recently got a blackberry from a friend, so far works mostly fine, except i cant register it, when i go to 'host routing table', it says no entries, i press the menu button and select 'register now' and i get a message that says 'message sent'. however i dont get anything back, so i dont have the blackberry browser.
when i tried to download the Blackberry app world, i get a message that says 'sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry app world.' when i go to options>about, it says im running v4.5.0.110(platform 2.7.0.90)
when i run the application loader from the BB websit, i get a box that says 'please connect your device' with a dropdown box under it, however there are no devices listed.
lastly, my network status is listed as 'edge' in the top right corner
anyone know how to fix any of these problems?
ive got att with an unlimited data/text plan
    thanks

    Flashing120Clock,
First thing, if the device is used I would perform a full wipe on the device. You can access this feature by going into the options menu and selecting Security > click on General Settings > Press your Menu Key and select "Wipe Handheld" IMPORTANT: This will delete all data from the device and reset it back to factory defaults.
Second, you must have a BlackBerry BIS or BES Data plan. You can get away with the BIS or Personal if you are not performing an Enterprise Activation.
    Hope this helps,
