Video on my site

I'm an actor and want to edit a demo reel to put on my site. what format should i save it as that would not be too compressed and still look good this is a first for me, creating something for the web.
any tips, ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'd click on Movies... maybe then A Boy and His Dog.
Here's what I do for compression:
File - Export - QT Conversion
Dialog box...
Make sure it says Quicktime Movie
Under that where it says Default or Recent Settings...
Change to Broadband High
Then, if you are working with anamorphic you'll need to:
Click the OPTIONS button and then SIZE...
Change the size to something 16:9... 480x270 etc.
Cool thing about h.264 is you can scale it quite a bit without much quality loss.

I can play video on euronews site

i install the new apple Maverics, and after that i'm unable to play video on euronews site, the video page on the site appear blanc. Can any one tell me the solution for this case?

I updated my iPad Air from iOS 7 to iOS 8 and now I can not to play video on web site drtuber.com.
All my another equipments based on IOS 7 are playing the same video on the same web site normally as usually.
I think that it is a problem with iOS8

Antimusic: While it is not possible to upload an Adobe video to your site, you can embed a video from http://tv.adobe.com using the embed code for the video. Is that what you were looking for?

When you go to Youtube to get the embed code you have to now select the 'Enable Privacy-Enhanced Mode' - it used to be checked by default in Youtube

You may have something as simple as a corrupt cache. Try resetting in Safe Mode and see if that fixes it. If not another thing to attempt is opening Disk Utility and Repairing Disk Permissions, do this action 2-3 times.

Embed video into another site??

I have just finished creating a website in iweb, and published it to a folder. I am clueless when it come to html or web coding. So my question is, is there any way I can get an embed code to post my video from my site into another site?

The only way I've found to link to a movie file I've used in a site is to use the following URL:
http://web.me.com/MMeAccount_Name/Site_Name/Media/movie_filename.mov
That will link directly to the movie file.

I will be putting video on my website using iWeb. Simple enough (I hope!)
However, I need to be able to provide code to my customers so that they can embed the video into their own website... the same way that YouTube allows you to do that. Is it possible to do that kind of thing with iWeb?

I've asked this question previously, and got no responses. I'll ask it again, though my choice of software has changed. I'll be putting video online (this time using Flash video and Dreamweaver). I've seen on YouTube that it's possible to provide someone with a piece of code that allows them to put a video on their site without chewing up their own bandwith. Somehow, it runs directly from YouTube's site, but appears to be on that person's site (for example, it might appear to be sitting on a person's blog, but behind the scenes it's actually running off of YouTube's site). I don't understand the mechanics of this, but am wondering if this can be done by anyone (i.e. me!), or does it require considerable resources.
For example, if I have a site with Flash video on it, can I give someone a piece of code that will enable them to run the video directly from my site (though, it will look like it's actually on their site)? Or, am I only able to provide them with a link to my site (in which case, visitors to their site must leave and come to my site to see the video)? Clear as mud?

You might have seen NIKE websites about football and
merchandise etc. On those website you will find a footballer
playing with foot ball or if you have seen a site of an energy
drink where there are few dancers, you need to answer few questions
to get to the dance movie of a dancer.
What I want to do is that I want to design a 3D environment
for my flash website where I want to show some people working in
office in a section of the site. For that I will make a video with
my digital camera and will use it in the site. Similarly I want to
show my own videos merged with the website design. So it sounds

I can't view video on certain sites. It seems to be a problem with Firefox 9 and 10 for Mac.

Ever since I upgraded to Firefox 9 on my laptop and Firefox 10 on my desktop (Mac OSX 10.6), I haven't been able to view video on certain sites. I can get youtube and vimeo and hulu no problem. However, it seems I cannot view video on sites where it seems to be embedded.
Examples are velonews.com and thedailyshow.com. With the latter, I can't even see the site any more.
BTW, I also can't access the firefox help system because it won't take my password. I'm doing this on Safari.

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extension) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
*Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Get videos from my site to play on firefox browsers?

The videos from my site http://fightforfunny.com do not play on firefox browsers. They work for all browsers except firefox. The videos are hosted by amazon s3 in the mp4 format. I did this because I need the videos to be playable on mobile devices such as iPhone and Android devices. How can I make these videos work for all users on firefox browsers, using amazon s3 hosting. I cannot do a flash format because that would make the videos not work for mobile devices. Please help, thanks.

That is a weird issue. 
The video starts and then the player gets removed. 
I can make it work if I click the full screen icon and the player keeps working if I return to the normal player. 
So it looks that some JavaScript isn't compatible.
The Web Console (Web Developer > Web Console;Ctrl+Shift+K) shows this error:

Thank you for contacting support. I am also using your set up and I experience video issues when I have hardware acceleration turned on.
Other steps you can take to improve your experience:
* [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

I recently updated my IOS software on my IPAD with the latest version and now video from some sites does not run. I did not do the update on my other IPAD and the video runs fine. Any idea why.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. how come i can watch you tube but cant stream videos on web sites?

Videos require a plug-in that isn't included with with Safari browser. The iPod Touch can only watch QuickTime embed videos (go to http://www.apple.com/itunes and scroll down to the bottom, you can watch the "Now Playing" section).
