Video Only in Safe mode.

MSI K8n NEO4F (ver 1) bios 7125ncg
ENERMAX Whisper EG465P-VE FMA(24)
nVidia 7600GS 256MB
OCZ EB DDR PC-4000 /500MHz
Win XP Pro w/SP2
AMD 3700+ (939)
The video will work, correctly, in safe mode only. Using latest nVidia drivers.
Boots fine till we hit the log on screen then monitor goes black with no signal.
Can boot to safe mode fine. Removed drivers, ran driver cleaner, rebooted to safe mode and ran driver cleaner again.
Booted to safe mode again to install driver package to same result in normal windows (blank screen)
Wondering if card may be faulty as the screen does not look quite right when booting using only windows native drivers. I can pull an identical card from rig in sig to test. Just looking for suggestions here.
Thanks

hit "F8" after bios post, and choise "Enable VGA Mode". boot normally and setup correct refresh rates.
check dual view & TV out settings too.
I had tried that once and resolution was VERY low and only 4 colors. Just 2 options each to change and the slider and drop down menu would not except the change and or move. Windows tried to adjust on it's own and the screen had a greenish tint to it. Still looked better in safe mode and booting normally was OK except for low res and color.(Still greenish)
I'm gonna swap the card out tomorrow morning

iMac Intel 24" aluminum 3.06 processor, Graphics NVIDIA 8800 GS,from June 2008. Mac OS 10.6.7
It started a few days ago by flickering the upper part of the screen(horizontal strips) during normal use. After reboot the problem reappeared. Ata certain moment the computer would not restart, it hangs at gray screen, butthe hard drive turns and eventually other computers in a wireless networkrecognize the printer connected to the computer.
I tried all usual tricks (starting from DVD or external drive, safemode, single mode, resetting PRAM, unplugging the power cord etc.).
The computer starts only in safe mode, the gray screen becomes blue andthen normal desktop picture. Only some pictures and YouTube videos are not showing up. Safari works only with a single tab, however Firefox opens nearlyall pages.
I took the machine to an Apple shop for repairing. After 11 days theycalled me and said the video card is damaged and should be replaced (some $800). I do not have Applecare and I have to pay the costs. Before agreeing toreplace the video card I would like to know what is the origin of the problem
I wonder why the video card failed. Is it possible that another element(power supply or overheating) has caused the damage to the card? If the videocard is damaged why is it able to handle graphics when the computer is startingin safe mode?

    Thank you very much.
In fact it is interesting to know if a video card can be partially dead. If it works (at least partially) at safe mode that means some components of the hardware are still alive. It seems that at starting in normal mode it tries to access something for activating the graphics and it cannot. Are there extra components activated at normal startup, which are not done at safe mode?
I unplugged the computer without holding the power button (At Apple store they didn’t tell me to hold the power button for 10 seconds after unplugging to reset SMC) - also Apple doesn’t suggest to hold the power button, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964
I restarted the computer after resetting SMC and it started normally, but after nearly 24 hours the top of the display began to flicker followed by total freeze. After that it couldn't boot in normal mode. It hangs at startup with gray screen. Only in safe mode it can boot.

  • MacPro 1.1 boot only in safe mode with a non Apple display (NEC 24")

Months ago my original Apple Cinema has broken and I subtituted it with a 24" NEC Multisync LCD 2490WUXi with good results.
After some months, for cleaning purpose, I formatted the boot HD and reinstalled Snow Leopard.
Since then I can restart only in safe mode - the DVD also start only in safe mode otherwise after loading the screen is blank and shows only the mouse pointer.
I noted on System Profiler that no monitor is shown and both the DVI ports of the graphical card (NVIDIA Geforce 7300) result not connected!
I have to thing that such a monitor is not known and therefore, as I don't know where get the original one, can I use the Cinema Display 30" (but it has a minidisplay port not present on my card) and how?
Or it is better the substitution of the card having the minidisplay port? What type is compatible with Mac Pro 1.1 (2008)?
Or, in conclusion, I have to trash all and abandon Apple?
Many thanks for your appreciated suggestions.
    Nerion

7300GTs are old in the tooth, there is a Boot Camp related firmware update that you should have seen in ASU.
The ATI 4870 - even flashed PC version - is one option.
I have seen other threads mention 7300.
I'd do the power off unplugged / power button for 10 second "Reset SMC" and see.

  • My Macbook Pro won't boot up, only in safe mode!

Help, my macbook pro won't restart, only in safe mode! and it seems that safe mode has plenty of implications for use.  my usb memory stick doesn't seem to be recognized while in safe mode.  I was doing a cleanup on mackeeper just after I downloaded a trial version of microsoft office mac.  The trial wouldn't work properly so I deleted it and decided to do a cleanup with mackeeper.  than the mac froze while mackeeper was doing it's cleanup and the screen flashed black a few times.  Ever since it won't boot up unless I use safe mode.  Also, I downloaded the most recent updates while in safe mode but it doesn't seem to be recognizing that I already downloaded them because software update is still telling me that I have 6 updates.  So I am horribly confused at this point.  Please help, I need this laptop to do report cards (it's a good thing I got an extension). thanks

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in safe mode.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
The commands may line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then either copy or drag it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
    Step 1
Triple-click the line of text below to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V).
    find /Sy*/L*/Ex* -type f -name Info.plist -exec sh -c '/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Print :CFBundleIdentifier" "$1" 2> /dev/null | egrep -qv "apple|Accusys|ArcMSR|ATTO|CalDigit|HighPoint|hp-fax|JMicron|print|SoftRAID|stex" && echo ${1%*.kext/*}.kext' {} {} \;
Post the lines of output (if any) that appear below what you just entered (the text, please, not a screenshot.) You can omit the final line ending in “$”.
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
    ls -1A /e*/mach* {,/}L*/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,Keyb,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Spo,Sta}* L*/Fonts 2> /dev/null
Important: If you formerly synchronized with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, anonymize it before posting.
    Step 3
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of every login item' 2> /dev/null
Remember, these steps are all copy-and-paste — no typing. Also remember to post the output.
    You can then quit Terminal.

  • Powerbook G4 will not boot normally, only in safe mode.

So...about a month ago I updated my powerbook with all the updates that were available, one of the updates was 10.5.8. I came back after the update had run for a while, and found my computer with a black screen, and a faint white bar towards the bottom of the screen. The computer wouldn't respond, and I was forced to do a manual shutdown. The computer would then not boot, instead finally resting on a light blue screen with an active mouse pointer after passing the gray apple screen.
In safe mode, I downloaded and installed the combo 10.5.8 update, but it made no difference.
I assumed it to obviously be a software issue, and so I backed up my info, and reinstalled Leopard. I then updated to 10.5.8 using the combo update. My computer functioned normally for about a week, and then froze, mouse responsive, but nothing else. After manual shutdown, same problem, computer started to blue screen with pointer.
Since that time I've reset the PRAM, run disk utility a million times (no errors), repaired permissions, all to no avail. I've run the Techtool diagnostics on it, and it found no hardware failures. The computer will not boot from an external hard drive, ruling out the HD.
I've replaced the RAM with different RAM, again will not boot. The computer boots without fail every time in safe mode.
History on my computer, one of my memory slots failed to recognize memory any longer, and my logic board was replaced a little less than 2 years ago while I still had applecare.
    So to sum up:
Powerbook boots only in safe mode
Stays at blue screen with mouse pointer when booting
May work properly for a few days after erase and install of OS, but then fails again with same systems shortly thereafter
    Any ideas???

Have you tried running the Apple Hardware Test from DVD?

  • Powerbook G4 only start safe mode

Hello i have powerbook g4 with cpu 1.25ghz. I use to have mac os4.1.1 installed. Lately had freexing problem and as it was a very old install i tried a fresch install. I downloed os as i lost my original dvd. Tried 10.4.3. Install go fine but never start when it finish. Only in safe mode will start. What could i check?please help

When there is a problem with an OS X, such as those usually installed from DVD system media
you would need to use the boot-able install-restore DVD (or later retail DVD, if not original grey
color label discs) to see about repairing the problem. You cannot update or upgrade to make a
problem go away. And an offer/download of a complete OS X system (torrent?) is not legal.
With an older computer, there is a fair chance the original hard disk drive may be failing; so that
is something to think about when you have an internal hard disk drive that spins thousands of
rotations per minute and gets written to & read from millions/billions of times a year....
The download update is only a minor step, and if you chose to download that from somewhere
other than the Software Update (via computer access to Apple Server) the actual one to seek
if everything was in great shape with your computer, would be the Combo 10.4.11 last update.
These steps are considered updates & not upgrades. The distinction is more than a word deep.
You will have to locate the correct DVD install media since a download from the internet of a
complete OS X Tiger 10.4 system is not available online; anything you may find very likely is
an illegal download and may be full of bogus content, such as malware or missing files, etc.
Apple no longer sells these discs, you may contact Apple sales support and have your product
serial number (PowerBook G4) available to ask an OS X specialist, if it is possible to get some
kind of operating system install DVD for that old a computer. The newest it could run would be
Leopard 10.5 (install from DVD, then download update to 10.5.8) however the Tiger 10.4 DVD
may be an expensive item if you look at Amazon or eBay sites online. Expect to pay...
You may have some luck if there happens to be an Apple User Group in your locality or if a
school or university has a computer lab and has not cleaned out their archive of old OS X.
School rummage sales, second hand shops, and other local finds are random luck events.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Boots only in Safe Mode - Macbook mid 2007

My Macbook mid 2007 with Snow Leopard will not boot correctly. The only successful means is Safe Mode (key S during boot).
All measures published in various postings have been conducted without any peripheral devices. These are:
    verify harddisc
    verify RAM
    resetting PRAM and NVRAM
A detailled overview can be found under here.
The existing original RAM and harddisc were successfully tested using a second identical Macbook. A new installation of Snow Leopard on the harddisc using the second Macbook was successful and started in this second Macbook as expected. This harddisc was then inserted into my Macbook, but it would not boot. Hence it is safe to exclude problems with RAM and the harddisc.
Attempts to boot with the Snow Leopard DVD (either via C plus boot or Option during boot and select Install DVD) are not successful. Attempts to boot from an external drive are also not successful. The boot process (regular, DVD, external) progresses to different states including grey screen with Apple and frozen wheel. There is no consistency.
From the various postings I have found and studied along with my numerous tests, I have deduced the following possibilities:
There is a problem with the GPU.
There is a problem with the keyboard (maybe someone spilled something).
I have found numerous solutions for "boots only in Safe Mode". All include booting via Install DVD, but this does not work in my case.
I have exhausted all my possibilities. Hopefully someone can provide more insight.

    lruetimann wrote:
What I am not able to test is booting with an external CD/DVD drive. However, there is no indication that the built-in drive is malfunctioning.
If you have a second MacBook (#2 working OK), you could use its CD/DVD drive loaded with the 10.6 DVD as the target disk to boot into, as the first Macbook (#1 the troubled one) reportedly cannot see a 10.6 DVD normally.
How to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode
In your case this would be:
With the MacBook(1) on (Host), the MacBook(2) off (Target) connect the firewire cable.
Start the MacBook(2), hold T key to make it the boot drive. It will appear on the MacBook's(1) Desktop.
Insert the 10.6 Install DVD into the MacBook(2).
It too will appear on the MacBook's(1) Desktop.
From the MacBook(1), select Restart and hold down the Option key to select Start-up Manager.
From Start-up Manager, select the 10.6 Install DVD which will take you into the installation.
If this occurs, then you have booted into the install 10.6 DVD, From there you could try and install it, see what happens.
However, if it does not see the DVD disk, then this would indicate a defect in the logicboard (motherboard), though which component I would not guess.
If it does see the DVD, in Macbook (2) and can boot into it,… I'd be surprised!

Hey, I just installed ML on my OCZ Octane SSD, everything went ok, However, it got stuck while rebooting and now I can only see flashing question mark icon and ML won't boot at all. Only in safe mode...

It looks like ocz is aware of the issue and trying to address it via firmware:

  • Imac 27 Intel will not boot normally only in Safe Mode

I posted previously but the answer to the question was did it wake up in safe mode, i did not give it a chance and I restored from back up to 10.10, upgraded to 10.10.1 and it worked for 1 week and returned to the previous problem.
I ran AHT - Passed, reset PRAM, verified disc - Passed, repaired permissions and removed each RAM module and still will only boot in safe mode. The crash report is below.
It locked up while on Safari, and wake up. When booting it loads the first 25% then goes to grey screen and stays there with spinning beach ball or just pointer never goes to log in screen.
In Ten (10) Crash logs it gives me the following reason:

  • I can boot my Mac Mini only in safe mode

I've tried recovery mode but it hangs with a blank linen screen and the pointer stuck in the top LH corner. At this point the mouse doesn't seem to be working properly the motion sensing LED doesn't flash when the mouse is moved and flashes more brightly  when the mouse is clicked.
I've tried resetting PRAM and PMU and SMC but to no avail.
Selecting boot from the recovery partition just hangs.
Creating a recovery drive (USB 'stick' or USB drive) with the Recovery Disk Assistant just hangs.
I've created a 2nd partition and cloned the startup partition to it. Attempting to boot from that just hangs.
I notice, also, that the system serial number is missing; presumably it wasn't re-entered following the replacement of the logic board, recently. I hadn't noticed until now.
    Any suggestions?

Hello, old info, but basically the same I'd think for 10.7.x...
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
    Reboot, test again.
    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Actually, safe mode is the only thing that works (this message is brought to you by my sponsor - safe mode).  If I leave recovery boot hanging it will eventualy reboot after 5-10 mins.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...
    /private/var/run/StartupItems
    /Library/StartupItems
    /System/Library/StartupItems
    /System/Library/LaunchDaemons
    /Library/LaunchDaemons
Thanks for the list. I've had a look in there but there doesn't seem to be anything untoward (although, how can you tel by looking)? I have a few 3rd party preference panes but they don't seem to have caused a problem in the past. I suppose I'll have to figure out how to ininstall them one-by-one.
Incidentally, I have tried Lion Internet Recovery, too. It seems to download (presumably) the disk image but hangs when the system rebots. The recovery utilities never appear.

  • Disable Lion video driver, without Safe Mode?

We have an old 2.0 ghz 17" Intel iMac with Lion installed, which is used exclusively for managing iPads. The iMac has no other purpose in life, and is only turned on to download iPad software updates and run Apple Configurator.
This summer the iMac suddenly stopped working. It shows a random broken image when it boots and the system eventually freezes with a forever-spinning cursor. Apparently this is due to the soldered-in 3D graphics accelerator developing a problem, and which seems endemic to this model of Intel iMac.
However, I discovered that Recovery mode works fine...
    And I can reinstall Lion...
But after two attempts to reinstall Lion, that doesn't help at all.
I then discovered that Safe Mode also works fine, and then that Safe Mode allows me to boot a backup of the previous configuration before reinstalling Lion. I am in fact typing this message using Safe Mode on the iMac.
So the iMac works okay in Safe Mode, and I see it is possible to permanently enable Safe Mode...
    sudo nvram boot-args="-x"
However safe mode tends to degrade lots of other system capabilities also, such as no sound, plug-in USB flash drives don't work, etc.
Is there a way to just disable the video acceleration driver alone, but load everything else normally?

I found the solution I was looking for.
The iMac works fine (with safe mode disabled), if I just disable the ATI Radeon X1000 video driver.
This can be done by either deleting this file or moving it to another folder:
    /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRadeonX1000.kext

  • ITunes opens only in safe mode; freezes upon normal opening (possible solutions that I found to similar problems don't seem to apply)

Hello. I've encountered a problem with my iTunes that I would like some help on solving. My computer uses Windows Vista. iTunes recently began to freeze as soon as I opened its window. On two occasions, it appeared to work the first time after turning the computer on, but would freeze upon subsequent openings. No error messages are given. It will either freeze while saying "Accessing iTunes Store," or without saying anything at all. However, iTunes appears to work just fine when I open it in safe mode (holding Shift + Ctrl while opening), although I have not yet attempted to sync a device while using safe mode. I attempted to update iTunes to its most recent version (10.6.3.25) after first experiencing this problem. The first time I tried, it didn't work, saying that "errors occured" during the update. I disabled my antivirus software (Kaspersky Antivirus 2012) and tried again. This time, my computer said that the update was successful. However, the freezing problem has persisted.
After looking through Apple support and other discussion topics, I found several things to check for (relating to similar problems) as follows. I checked for them, but they don't seem to apply to my situation. Here is what i found.
    From Apple Support:
Check for third-party plugins in the following two folders:
    -C:\Users\username\App Data\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins\
Result: I found this folder, but it is empty, even with "Show hidden files and folders" enabled.
    -C:\Program Files\iTunes\Plug-ins
Results: I did not find a "Plug-ins" folder in this directory, nor in the iTunes directory in Program Files (x86). However, there is a "Mozilla Plugins" folder in the (x86) directory, containing files "npitunes.dll" and "npitunes.xpt."
    From Community Discussions:
-Conflict with Advanced SystemCare security tool by IObit or iCloud Control Panel
Result: These do not appear to be installed on my computer.
I also found something about Bonjour service, and that some people's similar problems were temporarily resolved when disabling Bonjour and reopening iTunes. I tried this, but it did not make a difference.
Does anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this? Thanks for the help!

No error messages are given. It will either freeze while saying "Accessing iTunes Store," or without saying anything at all.
    I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • MacBook Pro will not boot, only in safe mode. Tried Everything!

My MacBook Pro was working fine yesterday. Went to boot it up today, and it freezes on the Apple grey boot screen, will not progress further.
It does however start in safe mode, but will not start normally.
I've tried everything I can find, reset the PRAM, reinstalled OS X, ran the Apple Hardware test which came back clear, I don't know what else to try and why it's not working. It's been fine until now. Please help! Thank you

Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
    Step 1
Triple-click the line of text below to select it:
    for k in /Sy*/L*/Ex*/{,.?}*.kext; do test -f "$k/Contents/Info.plist" && /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Print :CFBundleIdentifier" "$_" | egrep -qv "apple|Accusys|ArcMSR|ATTO|CalDigit|HighPoint|hp-fax|JMicron|print|SoftRAID|stex" && echo $k; done | open -f -a TextEdit
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. Post the contents of that window, if any — the text, please, not a screenshot. You can then close the TextEdit window. The title of the window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that. No typing is involved in this step.
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
sudo defaults read com.apple.loginwindow LoginHook | open -f -a TextEdit
This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which you do have to type. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type it carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Heed that warning, but don't post it. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.
    Step 3
    Repeat with this line:
    ls -1A /e*/mach* {,/}L*/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,Keyb,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Spo,Sta}* L*/Fonts 2> /dev/null | open -f -a TextEdit
Important: If you formerly synchronized with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, anonymize it before posting.
    Step 4
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of every login item' 2> /dev/null | open -f -a TextEdit
Remember, Steps 1-4 are all copy-and-paste — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
    You can then quit Terminal.

  • No Internet, only in Safe Mode

    Hello,
I have following Problem with my Mid 2011 iMac on Moutain Lion.
When i start at the normal Mode, Safari says it can't for i.e. connet to www.google.at ( this is for every webpage), non of my other programms can connect to the internet.
When i start the assisstant and a diagnostic, it says that everything is fine, "pc is connected to the internet", when i ping at www.google.at, it works everything is transmitted and received.
When i pull-out the ethernet or wifi and want to use safari, it recognizes, that there is no network and suggests my a diagnose, so my os recignizes a difference between "cant connect to internet" and "really isnt connected to internet".
I have the same settings since i bought my mac and everything was the same since then and started going insane since yesterday 4 pm.
At this moment i left my mac, but didnt shut down, before that i have done 2 things, my iphone was synced but went in auto-lock so wifi was deactivated and my itunes on mac didnt find it, so i released it inside of itunes and before that, got some error that my itunes cant find my iphone.
And i deleted my icloud account in mail.app  because imap and smtp dindnt work since 22. Sept., i cant activate Mail in my iCloud Controlpannel, it says i have to setup mail in my mailapp, when i start add it in maillapp, it says imap and smtp server doesnt respond. But this is another problem, maybe?
So when i came back after i left my mac, since then osx cant connect to the internet, but has a connection, so it must be blocket, because pinging works.
So i tryed to delete Little Snitch 3, with Appcleaner but i still have the icon in my menubar, so some files maybe still are on my system maybe some of those which cause this error, i also deleted avast.
Another programm i have installed is GlimmerBlocker, the AppleSupport told my i have to try a clean delete of those 3 programms with maccleaner os x Firewall is not activated.
My question is, could there be another know issue cause this, where can i else look for the couse of that problem, could it be a malware?
    Thank you

  • Webpage displays correctly only in safe mode

A pop up window on ebay does not show correctly in Firefox. It shows correctly (fully displaying all information) in Safari and Chrome.
I reset Firefox, still same issue.
The weird thing is, it displays properly in Safe Mode.
I noticed that once the pop up window is open and if I scroll down to hide the pop up window either on top or the bottom of the screen, and then scroll back to display the popped up window, IT DISPLAYS ALL CONTENT PROPERLY!
If I only scroll up or down to hide HALF the popped up window, it will literally only show half the content that was hidden from view for a second and the rest of the content in the pop up window does not show ALL the contents.
I can't figure out what is causing this. There are no extensions installed. I tried disabling ALL the plug-ins. Same issue.
Any ideas what is causing this?

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox"; Linux: "Firefox/File > Quit")
