Video option not on menu

??The video selection has disapeared from the screen of my Zen VisionM. But when you go into explorer, you see it and the videos I had put in it.....

Hello Crime Dog,
Head to *Settings -> Main Menu* and make sure there are check marks next to Photos and Videos by pressing the Center (Select) button to place the check mark next to these. If there is no check mark next to these, they will not display on your iPod.
If they are already checked, try resetting the iPod.

30 GIG Video iPod, Video Options not available - Please help!

Hi.
I have a 30 GIG iPod Video 5th gen, with the latest iPod updater software installer on it.
But when I look at the iPod preferences, when it's plugged in via USB, all Video options (manual vs automatic etc) are all greyed out and not available for selection.
And I can't drag any videos onto the iPod (even with the right video format!).
It's like the iPod itself doesn't recognised that it is an Video one, like it has a complex and can only deal with music and photos.
Can anyone help or offer advice?
Anyone had a similar problem?

Even with the iPod set to manual, I couldn't drag iPod format videos directly onto it.
Did a factory restart, and it has fixed the problem.
And just a note; the options in the video tab will always be greyed out, when the iPod is set to manually update songs.

External Video option not working

Recently our Final Cut System crashed. We're running 10.5.7, FCP 6.0.6. We have an external JVC monitor that always worked before with Video Playback. Now we have no Video Playback options (we do not use Digital Cinema Desktop - but that is all that is currently available.). We have reinstalled FCP several times - the issue is NOT a) installation b) a JVC driver c) a faulty monitor (we see an image when we digitize footage). Footage is digitized through a Sony HDV 1080i deck. The deck is functionally normally. In fact, everything is functioning normally except that since we did the system reinstall we no longer have any video playback options behind Digital Cinema Desktop. The Help boys tried but I couldn't describe the problem any more clearly than this. The connections have been checked and indeed not changed. The Video Playback worked for six months previous to the crash. Does anyone know how we can recover External Video options? PS Important note - the External Video setting is set to OFF and will NOT reconnect to "All Frames" or "Single Frame". Thanks.

Are you trying to preview HDV? Or DV? I know you can preview HDV via firewire as DV...don't know how to do that...but someone does.

Video and Photo Option not on Menu

Have a 3rd generation Nano.
Loaded a TV Show, several albums, and photos. Sync was successful.
However, when I press the MENU button on the Nano....the only options that appear are "MUSIC" "SETTINGS" and "SHUFFLE SONGS". There is no VIDEO or PHOTO menu option.
Any suggestions?

TV Shows option not in Menu

I've just updated to 6.0.5 and I have the latest version of Quicktime, and running system 10.3.9. The new TV SHows option doesn't appear in the genre menu?

I'm afraid that a lot of the tv and video content of the iTunes store is not available outside of the U.S. Apparently a seperate licence is needed for each new territory.

IChat video option "not supported on this computer" but it is a MacBook ...

I bought my wife a MacBook and have been using iChat with an AIM account over a Sprint Sierra 3g/4g hotspot to video chat with my wife while she is away for training.
It has been working for the past several months and now says it is no longer supported. Only audio chats.
Camera works fine in Photo Booth and I made sure that all camera apps were closed when she opened iChat. Also had her reboot her machine and make sure that she had not disabled video. Video menu isn't even available though only audio.
Any idea what is going on??

This can be about how much Internet Speed or rather the portion of a shared connection she can "See" on the computer.
Doing a Speed test may determine how much speed she has

When you say "reboot" do you mean a complete shut down then (Re)starting the machine rather than just using the Restart option ?
I would also try a PRAM reset.
Shut down the computer.
Restart it holding down Apple/CMD (or ⌘)+ALT PR Keys until she has heard three Start Up Bongs.
Lastly it might be that iChat has "Saved" the wrong Bandwidth speed to the .plist involved.
She should do this to find out what iChat can 'See" and has saved.
Shut down iChat
Open Terminal.
Copy and paste this Bold text in to Terminal and hit the Enter/Return key.
/Applications/iChat.app/Contents/MacOS/iChat -errorLogLevel 7
This will cause iChat to Launch and create a Log in Terminal about what it is doing.
It will pause once the Buddy list has loaded with info in the Log about NAT tests and port tests.
She should Quit iChat at this point.
She should copy the log and post it here. (Save it to TextEdit is an option)
Quit Terminal.
About 1/3rd the way Down the Log should list the BWD (Bandwidth) it can see - both upload and download and say whether it can do 1-9 Audio chats or 1-3 Video chats.
Also get her to check the System Profiler and whether in Hardware > USB the computer can "See" the camera ?

hi, in my itunes properties, when i go to the video tab...i have a problem, i cannot enable it, it wont let me do it, it is not highlighted, so i am unable to upload videos to my ipod, what shud i do. thanks.

I have CS5.5. I want to create a QR Code with InDesign. Videos show it to be easy from an Adobe training video from the Object menu option. This does not appear in my version, why not?

Set poster frame not an option in View menu

Do you need QuickTime Pro just to be able to set a poster frame for a particular .MOV file? I have read on the internet that other people find this option in the View menu, but it doesn't show up for me. I have Lion installed.

I have an amazingly simple solution that worked for me:
Open the video in quicktime and press cmd+c on the frame of your choice. Then right click the video file in he finder and choose "Get Info" press cmd+v and the poster frame will be fixed.
I do not have Quicktime Pro, so this will work on hopefully any version of Quicktime.
It appears that different people have different definitions of a "Poster Frame." This gentleman is referring to the icon image displayed at the Finder level rather than a true "Poster Frame" as can be designated by QT 7 Pro, iWeb, or iTunes apps. The icon display to which he is referring can be created by either by pasting a copied frame to the "Info" window as described above or by dragging and dropping an image file (of compatible dimensions and format) directly to the "Info" widow icon area.
As to the creation of a designated "Poster Frame," if you do not have QT 7 Pro or no longer use iWeb, then your can create a "Poster Frame" using iTunes. Simply open the file in the iTunes player, locate the frame you want designated as the "Poster Frame," control-click the player window to open the context menu, and select the "Set Poster Frame" option. If the video does not already have a "Cover Art" image associated with it, the designated poster frame will be used as the cover art image but not adopted as the file icon image. If the file already has an external image associated with it as cover art, then the cover art image is used for both the cover art and the file icon image but the "Poster Frame" will still be recognized by applications that recognize/use this designation.

No HTML5 Video option in Insert/Media Drop down menu on DW, CS6

Just getting into wanting to try the HTML5 Video on websites I am building on my PC using CS6.
However, I downloaded the tutorial "Inspire" on how to do this, etc. by downloading the mpeg4 video files(trolly) and doing a test site while following along with tutorial. Followed to a "T".
When it came to actually clicking the Insert selection then the Media selection to drop down the following only,

Plugin
I even updated DW, restarted PC and still no final choice to add the HTML5 Video file. And I did have the Option in the New Document Dialouge Box to select HTML5 from the DOCtype menu earlier in the tutorial test I conducted and made. Think of why I don't have that option?

How can I download a video from icloud, when it only gives me the option 'watch' ? (The video has not been downloaded before)

I started downloading an episode from itunes. before it was fully downladed, I accidentally stopped the download. The video does not exist in my videos, but icloud seems to think so. Icloud therefore does not give me te option of downloading the episode anymore, only the option of watching, which then takes me to 'vidoes' where the video does not exist.

I moved a iMovie video from a macPro to an IMac. In iMovie the option to export the video to media browser is greyed out, but the video is not listed on iDVD media. How can I get iDVD to find it or find a way to re-export it to media browser?

Did you transfer a Quicktime movie files from the Mac Pro to your iMac? If so make sure the video plays correctly in Quicktime Player. If it does you can put it in your Movies folder and from there drag it into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones. It doesn't have to come from iMovie. You can just drag and drop into iDVD.

I know, I always do that but I was in a rush to get somewhere and I was relying on my thousand dollar Mac to do some kind of recovery or something. I know Microsoft always keeps temporary files (I think Mac does too, part of me asking here in this forum was for someone to tell me where I can find those files) and when you go to open Office Works then it gives you the option of opening the last recent documents, saved or not saved.
I usually copy paste into my emial just in case something goes wrong with the created document but I just didn't have the time to login and do all that My loss, you live and you learn, BUT still if ANYONE got any info on this, PLEASE DO CHIME IN *keeping the hope alive*

Export option in Apps menu is not working

Hi all
Since yesterday,it seems our export on Oracle apps is not workin.
Both exports on Application and export when doing File-Export from Concurrent Request are not working.
The action seems initiated but no error and no popup window is displayed.
Usually a popup window should tell us to open or save file.But this is not the case.
