Video pause for second issue
Hello guys,
do you have any clue why Premiere Pro CS3 would suddenly pause the playback for 2 seconds and it will continue to play the videos in the timeline?
This issue only happens when a title is put on layer above the timeline. Also happens when I added the end credits.
This pausing behaviour does not happen when I only render or playback videos only without titles in the Timeline.
Please provide
these details to help us help you.
Cheers
Eddie

Product ID for second issue of multi viewer app
hi,
I've in this forum already found very usefull info about publishing the second issue of a free multi viewer app but still can't figure out if we have to use the same Product ID for each issue, or do we need to create a different Product ID for each issue ?
I've put two examples below, suppose one of them has to right. Or not ??
Is this the way to handle multiple issues (option 1):
product ID issue 1 = Product ID issue 2 = com.magnusmedia.magname
Or is this the right way (option 2):
product ID issue 1 = com.magnusmedia.magname.01
product ID issue 2 = com.magnusmedia.magname.02
thanx in adavance
Herman
Allright, was in a hurry and tested it out myself.
Option 2 is working for me, hope it's right to handle it that way.
With option 1 the app crashes (dark gray screen, no folio opens, library- en scrolling buttons are available but)Short answer: Yes, use a different Product ID for each folio (or for each set of folio renditions).
Longer answer: It's confusing that there are three different types of Apple Product IDs:
(1) the app Product ID, which you can ignore
(2) subscription duration Product IDs for a paid app or a single Product ID for a free subscription app
(3) a Product ID for each retail folio
When you're setting up a free subscription app, you don't need to use iTunes to create a Product ID for individual folios, because your folios are free. You just need to set up a free subscription Product ID in iTunes Connect and specify that Product ID in the DPS App Builder. On the Adobe side, you use a different Product ID for different folios you publish, such as com.publisher.publication.2012October and com.publisher.publication.2012November. If you're creating renditions, you use the same Product ID for the different renditions and different Product IDs for different sets of renditions. -
My music keeps pausing for a a second...why?
Hi wondered if anyone can help. When I try and play music in my itunes library it regularly jumps for a second and pauses for a second and then continues playing for a few minutes until the next jump! Any advice would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks
RobTry checking the activity monitor. Its a utility you are provided as a part of OSX. If you have multiple applications running, it could eat up your RAM which will cause itunes to pause for second. See how much processor memory or RAM is being used the next time it happens. It should lead you in the right direction.

Video pauses in windows 8.1?
Hello,
I just upgraded to windows 8.1 (probably should of known better) Tried diffrent sites, what happens is that the video pauses for a split
senond during the video, this happens several times depending on how long the video is. I have 12 gigs of ram and
plenty of power on the video card. Flash player and graphic's card is up to date.
Is this a care of flash needing to catch up to windows or should I be checking somethign else?
thanks BruceHere you go!
The following FAQ will walk you through the information we'll need and instructions for generating a crash log (if applicable):

Videos and gifs sometime pause for a second, need to tweak performance
I have a high end gaming laptop with 16GB ram, 4th gen i7, SSD hard drive, NVIDIA 770m graphics.
When I have a lot of tabs open, Firefox slows down a lot. Sometime animated gifs pause until I move my mouse, sometimes videos on various sites pause for a second (audio keeps going) and then catches up to the audio. The video issue happens on multiple sites including youtube.
I have updated flash, java, video drivers, windows updates, etc. I have an onboard intel 4600 video card which was being used for firefox. I switched to the NVIDIA card and I still have the same issues.
My computer should have the power to handle what I'm viewing. How can I tweak my settings to allow firefox to use more resources if needed? In task manager it never seems to get above 1GB Ram and 24% processor, yet still looks laggy as if my system is out of resources.
If it's important, I seem to get the same type of lag in regular internet explorer....
thanksYou can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver.
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
Also check for issues caused by extensions.

Video pauses and audio continues for a few seconds
I searched and was unable to find an answer. When I play a video in any type of player from youtube to VLC, the video starts and then the video pauses, audio continues for about 2 seconds, and then the video picks up where the audio is. It plays normally after the beginning. Any idea what this could be?
Although I don't have my mouse jumping around, I can see that both YouTube and AVI videos that I play are stuttering during playback. And it's annoying.

Making music videos, QuickTime Pro likes to pause for a second.
I'm making music videos, and some times at the start of the video, or where I add other video to the .mov file, the video likes to pause for 1/4th to a second, then the video like jerks forward to where it should be, while the audio is playing the way it should.
Is there any way to keep this from occuring?
Example (3 megs.)Your data rate for the video is 4.5 times of what it should be (9240 kbits/s). Try using 2000 kbits/s for the video data rate.
Here are some other factors that can make the video sluggest along with the above:
1) The dimensions of the video is 849x406. The height and width of the video should be divisible by, 16 for best... or 8 for better... or 4 for good. This can effect the encoding (always does) or playback of the video.
Here read this article: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/apps/flvbitrate_calculator/videosizes.html
Even tho the above article is for Flash it also applies to h.264.
2) The audio is mp3, this isn't h.264 complient. AAC audio is... I would change the audio encoding to AAC.
3) And lastly...what program did you use to encode this video with?
I'm glade you supplied a short video. Most people don't. See if next time you can supply at least ten seconds. Thirty second would be the bomb!
I took your video and copy/pasted it to lengthen it to 13 seconds. Encoded with Apple's Compressor...h.264....2000 kbits/s...audio ACC 128 kbits/s... dimensions 848x400
http://www.setfreedenver.org/DemoA/pause_demoA.html
There still is some jerkiness. This is inherent from the footage you supplied. -
Youtube videos stutter for a second every 30 or so seconds?
I will watch a video on YouTube (any video) and the PICTURE will pause a second while the audio continues uninterrupted (no matter the quality I put it on). It happens every 20-50 seconds (even while not in full screen). I have adobe flash player installed.
You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

I'm having problems with video play back in itunes 10.7.0.21 for windows 7. Video was playing fine, but now I'm having audio issues. Audio cuts in and out. Also video pauses and fast forwards. Does anyone know what would cause this all the suddenly? More importantly does anyone know how to fix this?
All sorted now. Thread can be closed!

Songs pausing for a few seconds when using speaker docking system
Got a Logitech AudioStation speaker docking system. Every 3 or 4 songs played seems to pause for up to 5 seconds then continues playing normally. The pause icon doesn't appear on the ipod, just the play icon. The countdown timer pauses though. Also skipping songs with remote control a problem. Sometimes skips two with one press. Also takes a few seconds to 'think' between songs. ipod also defaults to shuffle album every time it's docked. Anyone else experienced these problems? Is it docking system or ipod?

Laptop pauses for few seconds fequently
My laptop pauses for few seconds every 2-3 minutes . And this happens after around 15 minutes use of my laptop. What could be the problem?
Binita,
Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
Could be almost anything:
A program might running 'round in circles and slowing eating up all your memory is one guess.
Your system could be in need of maintenance -- the disk might be badly fragmented: Your files might be spread all over the place -- and in pieces -- and far away from each other. This is relative, of course. The "far away" is tiny distances and the amount of time it takes your computer to gather data is tiny amounts of time -- but it can add up to big delays after awhile -- delays that you notice.
Your computer might just have too many junk files that are "getting in the way" of a clean operation.
Your computer might have little bitty mistakes in the File System that are making it hard for the computer to perform its tasks. Tech speak for File System Errors.
It could be a network problem, although this is something you will have to track. The fact that the issue starts after you have been on the system for awhile means you need to know what you are doing during the slow-down to have an idea what you are looking for. The Task Manager can give you an idea whether the Network traffic is heavy and the Performance Monitor can help track traffic hogs.
Could be your Internet Service Provider dragging down your service -- this is harder to track, this is outside of the purview of this forum, and this is not an HP problem although you will find lots of people swearing that ISP issues come back to the computer being the culprit. If you are streaming, gaming, or using the system for anything that your ISP dislikes, it may put a choke on your service after a specified time.
Could be malware -- This is a different arena and you need to look to your Security Software to see if there are issues there. Run a deep scan to be sure the system is clean.
You might take a look at the following and follow at least some of the suggestions:
Improving System Performance without Adding Memory (Windows 8)

Why does "Find Text" pause for a few seconds?
I've got a VI with about 250 subVIs, and when I search them for any text, the search zooms through them all except it pauses on a particular one. The names don't matter, so I'll just use letters; alphabetical order of VIs seems to matter....
So the search is zooming through all the VIs and it pauses for 3 seconds on
sss.vi
I think maybe if I open sss.vi, the search will speed up since sss.vi is more likely to be in memory. With sss.vi open, the search pauses 3 seconds on
rrr.vi
What? So maybe the VI after sss.vi is causing the problem, so I open
ttt.vi
but the search still pauses on rrr.vi. So I open rrr.vi. Now the search pauses on
qqq.vi.
I could continue opening VIs going upstream in the alphabet, but then I'd probably have all my VIs open. I'd rather find the root cause of the pause and fix it.
Any ideas? Here's my setup, and the slowdown happens on all four computers I've tried:
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
LabVIEW version: 2011
Opened within project: no
What's inside the VIs: The most "unusual things" are a formula node or two, a few global variables, and the "System Exec.vi" to make command line calls. -
In Serial Element mediaPlayer.bytesLoaded for second video includes first video bytes
Hi,
I am using SerialElement for displaying ads and then main video so in my player I set my loading of the progress bar using mediaPlayer.bytesLoaded but the problem is that the loaded bar for the second video includes the loaded bytes from the first video also so my loaded bar gets set slightly larger and when I try to seek then actually there are no bytes at the end of loading bar and seek is not possible for the end portion, it gives a very bad user experience. I tried to confirm this behaviour by taking a 20 min video as first video and then main video so when second video started buffering I traced the mediaPlayer.bytesLoaded and I got value around 760sec, and I dont think my bandwidth is so good that it will load 760 sec video in few seconds.
Is this behaviour expected? If this is the case then how can I clear the bytes loaded for the second video?
Regards,
AmitI've been fixing some bugs in this area, you might want to upgrade to public trunk and see if your problem has been resolved.

TV picture Pauses for a split second
Every 30 seconds or so my TV pictiure pauses for a very brief 1/2 second. Anyone seeing this?
I contacted a rep as well and they said a fix will be sent out the 15th of this month. She stated that she could send out a fix but it only works 50% of the time and from the other 50% the DVR will not reboot sometimes. So I'm dealing with it until this fix supposidly comes out on the 15th of March. I switched from DirecTV about 3 weeks ago because I was tired of the interuptions do to the slightest bit of rain and I have had the freezing problem with Verizon since the first day.
