Video playback error in iphoto journal

I made a journal I wanted to share with my family that included three videos.  Everything appeared to upload fine (although it took forever), but when I go to check it out on the web, only one of the three videos will play.  I tried opening the video on the iphoto version of the journal, and it works fine. If I put the video in edit mode in iphoto, play it, and then take it out of edit mode so that it re-uploads, it doesn't seem to help.
Anybody have any suggestions?  Thanks in advance...

Hey sb521,
If you can play other videos in QuickTime Player like the Movie trailers available through QuickTime or FREE ON iTunes content. The issue may be with the content you've downloaded. You may have to contact the iTunes Store support group: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
If you cannot play the FREE ON iTunes content or Movie trailers in iTunes or Quicktime PLayer, the issue may be related to the software on your PC.
Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX, this article has a link.

You also may want to try uninstalling any codec packs or QuickTime plugins that you've installed.

  • Receiving audio/video playback error

Help please! When cleaning up snippets of software that were loaded on my XP computer, I believe I uninstalled a piece of required audio software.
Can you tell me what audio software if required to play back music on your computer? I receive an audio/video playback error.

I receive an audio/video playback error.
is that an "audio configuration" error?
if so, you may have removed some of your QuickTime componentry. (iTunes uses QuickTime for audio and video playback.)

  • How to view videos in iCloud published iPhoto Journal using web browser?

If I publish an iPhoto Journal containing videos to iCloud and then attempt to view the journal from a web browser e.g. Safari, I see a single image corresponding to each video, but when I select one of them, I get a backwards, play/pause and forwards buttons, but those only control treating the images as a slideshow. I don't see any buttons that correspond to playing the contents of each video. Do I have the incorrect format for the videos (they are .mp4 files created using Handbrake from the original .MOV files which is what my camera creates)?
Here's the URL of the published iPhoto Journal.

  • Video playback error qp1001

I am trying to watch uverse on my ipad and get error of video playback could not be started.  Library Manager not started QP 1001.  How do I fix this?

Try resetting your iPad by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally.
If you still get the error, uninstall then reinstall the Uverse App.

  • Iphone 5 video import error in iphoto 8

I have a iphone 5 and some of my videos wont import to iphoto 8. It says its unreadable, so then I tried importing another video from my phone but it works. Its only some of the videos I took at a concert that does not work. The videos are pretty long like around 10 to 20 min. How do I fix this?
    Thank you

If your free HD space is less than the size of your videos - iphoto will not/can not import your videos.

  • Video playback error 8100 Pearl

Hi, new to the BB family, great board. I'm trying to view video I download on my media card.  It is the .avi format, so I thought it should work ok. The video is from a casio camera, only 8mb, and it is recognized on the handset in the media card video folder, but when I select play, I get the error message.  I'm leaning toward thinking I have a coversion problem, but not sure.  I'm going through the BB desktop software "Media Manager" and I select the "convert for optimum playback" option. Is there an easy way to convert these short .avi clips to a readable format?  Is there any software recommended for this?  Thanks

Try resetting your iPad by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally.
If you still get the error, uninstall then reinstall the Uverse App.

  • Video syncing errors from iPhoto to iPhone via iTunes

I recently took 50 or so video or pictures on my iPhone 5 while on vacation. Once home, I synced them into iPhoto like I always do, and deleted the files after import. I then synced my phone with iTunes, where (in the photos section) I choose to sync all events from the past 12 months, with the 'Include Videos' checkbox checked. This is how I've done things up to now, and its always worked.
However, this time, two of the videos will not sync back to my phone. I get an iTunes error saying that they are not in the correct format. This is bizarre, since several videos taken before, between, and after them sync fine. The 2 videos are not exceptionally long or short compared to others that sync successfully.
Has anyone seen a trick or workaround to make iTunes sync these videos?

    Thanks again TD
I will check on the formating when I get home, I am pretty sure that I haven't used any no-ascii characters, but will double check.
Before I download iphoto library manager, I just wanted to report an interesting experiment that I tried last night that may point in a different direction:
I keep my iphoto library on a second internal HD, so I thought I would just try making a complete copy of my iphoto library onto my desktop. Once I did this, I started up iPhoto with alt and choose the desktop version of the library and all worked perfectly, my iphoto albums showed instantly in my photo tab in itunes when I selected to sync with iphoto.
My next move was to rename my old library and then copy my desktop version into the folder where the old library is. Once I did this the problem was back again.
I have no reason to believe that it is the second disc that is causing the problem, as that is where I have always kept my itunes and iphoto libraries and they have worked without problem.
(As I am writing this, it dawned upon me that I missed one important test, I should have tried the old library after I had renamed it, but stil in the same place.)
I am now suspecting that the problem may be linked to an external drive that I addded to the system at Christmas. This was a WD My Book which I use for backup, the link being that I use the software that came with it to do autobackups that includes my iphoto library folder. I am wondering if this software does something to the folder.
    Thoughts welcome.

  • !!Please Help!! video playback error

A video (a very important one of my daughter's performance) was recorded directly to my phone (BB 8900 curve).  When I was done recording, it played 2 or 3 times with no problem. About an hour or 2 later, I tried playing it for someone else and it kept stating "error has occurred attempting to play media".  After a few attempts to play it, ALL my media files were gone!
Thankfully I have since then recovered the pictures and it shows that the video is there, but it still states that there is an error.
I ran a disk utility check twice and still nothing!  Please tell me there is something I can do to get this to work again so I can save it somewhere. This was such an important event!!

first thing, make a copy ofthe video on your PC.
if you do not know how, please read the following link.
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Desktop-Software/HOWTO-use-your-blackberry-as-a-US...
once that is done, you can try the following :
I think you can try two things : the soft reboot, and if it does not work, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can't lose data with these two reboots.
    Soft reboot :
    1) Hit the three following keys at the same time :
    - Alt
    - Right Shift
    - Delete
    2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.
    Hard reboot :
    1) your Blackberry device is on
    2) remove the battery and wait for a minute
    3) Put the battery back
    4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.
Please tell us if it works for you.

  • Video playback error!

I am trying to watch some film that we filmed today and it is not letting me. The error message says "The document “0011LE.mov” could not be opened. A required codec isn't available." Is there something I can download to fix this or change the format? Thanks.

The fastest solution to your problem is to download a free copy of VLC player. This player is contantly updated with the latest codecs, and should be able to play your video. I doubt you'll have to change the format.

  • Video playback errors

I am experiencing some error messages while trying to watch videos on my PP.
Some work fine, others do not.
On some, I click to watch and get the following error -
    Media Error
Please close some applications to free up resources, then try again.
However, as far as I know, I am not running anything else at the time.
Then the second error is on one particular video, when I am watching and try to advance the video (fast forward), I get the following error -
    Media Error
An error has occured. Please try again.
I try over and over - same result.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
(I am running the newest OS version.)

maybe the video format isn't compatible well with playbook or the size of the video is too large, you'd better figure out aomething, like video format, video size, the storage of your playbook...

  • Embed Video: Playback error | How to use?

    Hello everyone,
I'm trying to insert different videos into a multistate, they're like 10-15 seconds videos and the idea is to be able to play them inside the presentation (folio). I'm creating this for an Android device.
I've been trying with several formats such as FLV, SWF, MOV, AVI and MPG but when I update the folio on the device it only shows me the icon for the movie or the swf and when tapping on it nothing happens. I tried to change the settings on the media panel even to make it play as soon as the page loads but I still have no luck, it just keeps showing the icon once I have it on the tablet.
I'm new at this and I have read a few tutorials for inserting video into InDesign documents but i'm not really sure.. is this even possible?
I would really appreciate your help, thank you!

Thank you so much for your reply, Bob, this was really helpful .
