Video playback in ALL applications stutters while using battery only. All OK when running from power adaptor. New battery did not fix. Recently updated iTunes to 11.0.5 and Flash player 11.8.800.94 .

I have successfully run Apple Hardware Test and it returned the error code...
4SNS/1/40000001:VPOR
A Google search reveals that this is a sensor error. The "V" of VPOR indicates a voltage sensor and the "P" indicates the sensor is on the Power bus. However don't yet know what the "OR" refers to.
I have had a non operative optical disk drive for a year or more but the fault with the video only developed in the last week or two. Could the "O" in VPOR refer to the Optical drive?
By the way, I got the impression from the instructions on running the Apple Hardware Test that I had to use the internal dvd drive to run the APT program from the install disk. But this turned out to be not the case. Just put install disk ito an external drive plugged into the usb ports and use system preferences to set this drive as the start up disk.

The answer to my problem was to change the DNS server number (should have done this first when the "playback error" persisted.:/). Take a screenshot of your original DNS number for future necessity, then change it to OpenDNS..or google DNS...I used google DNS...for complete & thorough instructions..follow this site:--> http://www.macinstruct.com/node/558

Imovie video playback is all black

Although in the event view I can see all the thumbs of the video, when I actually go to play the video, its all black in the video playback. Anyone have any idea whats going on??? Its only happening for a handfull of events.

I have the same problem. With all the videos in my library. Some videos are from the Canon XH-A1 camera, which is standard HDV. The others are from my Panasonic HS-100.
It seems that all the files are encoded with Apple Intermediate Codec.

Hello to who ever can help a hand out. I feel very stressed by this whole problem. I have a documentary movie that has been finished and edited. I only had to add a couple more parts to it to finalize the film. However when i went on my computer today, (last time being last week. Where everything had worked properly) all the video playback is green. it has audio of all the video files, but the video shows up green in the playback and the viewer. Any idea what could have happened. (last week i added a 5 jpegs thats it!)
Please anybody with any suggestions, I would be very greateful.

Lots of folks with similar problems. Do your clips play ok in Quicktime Player ? have you done any updates lately.

BW Application Error while using Web Application Designer Functionality?

An error came while using Web Aplication Designer functionality.
Can anyone please help me to resolve this issue.

From these test results it appears as though the errors encountered are authorization related. It is a requirement that web templates developed by X to be broadcasted.
I need to understand what permissions the X person requires in order for this to work so that his access can be changed.

What seems to have been happening is Designer showed a relationship existing after it had been deleted. This seems to be a bug in Designer. These rouge links can be deleted in the RON (although if you try to look at their details the RON will crash with the error in original query). After this cleanup everything worked like clockwork.

Ti 500 freezes while using battery power

My ti 500 freezes during start up whenever I start it up using the battery. If i start it up plugged in it works just fine, it will freeze once i go to battery power. I have replaced the battery device that plugs into the logic board. but the problem is still there. I recently replaced the screen taken from another ti 500. Any ideas what might be wrong? I've had this happen with an old G3 Wallstreet 233 Powerbook some years back (hoping my memory is accurate) - - I think it had to do with the battery capacity wearing down with charge cycles - - I'm guessing your battery is at least 2.5-3 years old.
You might try calibrating your battery (battery-only full discharge to shut-down, then powering up on AC to full charge), I've heard some folks get more battery capacity, at least for a while. Good luck!

Video playback in AIR application

I'm a purely graphic and video producer who has recently had to take on a touchscreen kiosk project at the very last minute. I have a basic (read pitiful) knowledge of actionscript and html, but no practical experience. I'm using Flash CS5, but also have Flash Builder 4 if that makes any difference at all.
From reference guides and trial and error I have been able to put together a good deal of the project, but a few parts have me quite confused. One is that I need to be able to do two things with HD video in this project;
1. Run a fullscreen looping sequence, which will fade to the menu screen once the screen is touched
2. Place a few video clips onto the stage, to run in sequence with the timeline.
Because of my main experience being video production, I see everything in layers, and I get the feeling that that is part of my issue, because I don't fully understand how the languages interact with objects.
Has anyone ever done something like this, or have any recommendations as to how best to do this? To be perfectly honest I don't even know where to start here.

Application Error while using database deign transformer

Using the database deign transformer in Designer 6i I experienced the following dialog:
"An application error has occured and an application error log is being generated. smi61.exe Exception: access violation (0x0000005), Address 0x01f6c325"
This is a repeatable error. All the table have been created but I don't know if they have been left in a clean state.
A would like to stop this happening in the future, I have done this generation successfully in the past will the same settings that are now failing (but different entities)

Bad video playback in all formats

I thought it was bad Netflix streaming but I put a DVD in and the same thing!
The motion is glitchy like bad stop-motion animation.
Anyone have any ideas?

My Ipod Classic 120GB crashes all the time while using it, there is an Apple that comes up and it restarts and sometimes a miscolored screen. It randomly pauses and skips songs as well.Help?

Not sure why it does this but it has been for the past few year and I'm finally getting tired of it. Any way to solve this problem? It randomly skips and pauses songs and if its doesn;t it last about 10 minutes or so and then freezes with an apple on the screen and also a miscolored apple on the screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

MacBook Shuts off While Using Battery Power

I have a white 13" MacBook from 2006.
But whenever I try to just run the MacBook on battery power, it shuts off within
1-3 minutes of use (Mainly using Safari).
I tried to reset the SMC, and changing the battery to a new one, but the problem
still persists.

My dad mixed up the batteries and put the old battery back in the
old one, and the new battery stuck in the new one... =P
So, I tried switching the batteries by myself, and guess what?
I'm using the new battery right now - just on battery power!
(And it's not shutting off! =) )

MAcbook Pro 10.5.1 intermittently switching off when using battery only

Very recently, my macbook pro has started switching itself off. It only happen when using the battery and the charge meter (on the battery) still shows at least 50% charge. It would appear that I can not reboot wither until the mains are attached again. I no longer receive the warning message regarding reserve power, and have previously run the lappy down to 5-6% charge before a recharge.
I have had 10.5.1 installed since its release, and this issue has only just started in the last week, despite daily usage.
Has anyone else had this or similar issues? It seems unlikely thatt it is hardware and I've cchecked the connections and they appear ok. Please help, its very annoying.

This sounds exactly like what was happening to me last fall - around Labor Day. This is a battery problem not an OS problem. I called Apple Care and they sent a new battery (after we tried all the PRAM stuff, etc.). The new battery took care of the problem.

3110c keyboard light stays on while video playback. Also pause and back button are displayed always. Is there are way to turn off keyboard lights during video playback. This could also save some battery power.
