Video playback within itunes 12.0.1.26

I have Itunes 12.0.1.26 (Quicktime 7.7.6) on Windows 7 & having issues playing purchased videos.
1.If I download a purchased video it won't playback through Itunes just get a black popup screen but if opened by quicktime it works?.
2.Tried to streaming movies & tv shows from the cloud I get the same popup black screen but nothing loads.
Videos that are not purchased through itunes have no issues playing within itunes.
I've tried some of the troubleshooting guides but nothing seems to fix the problem.
I'm at a total loss as what the problem is with itunes I think the with more updates come more issues.
Please help.

I may have a solution for choppy video playback for iTunes Windows users

My setup:
- Intel NUC (i5)
- 8gb memory
- Intel 5000 Graphics with 1GB memory (share of system memeory)
- iTunes 12
- iTunes library on NAS via GigaLan
Had problems with very choppy and freezing HD video playback in iTunes and tried everything... Every other player works fine.
1. downgrade audio playback
2. played with Quicktime settings
However, I think I might have a workaround. You need to do the following,
1. Install Quicktime 7
2. Install iTunes
3. Download ffdshow (Sep 2014 version) and install the codecs: pretty much leaving all do default
4. Set audio quality in Sound and Quicktime options in control panel, and iTunes to 16bit 48k
5. In advanced options of Quicktime in control panel, deselect "Direct 3D" & "Enable directdraw on seondary display", ONLY tick "enable directdraw accerleration"
Well, at least this works for me for now.

@Apple! You need to address this issue once for all, I can't believe there is no solution. As a paying customer who buy quite a few of your movies in iTunes, I expect to have a harssell free experience. Consumers should NOT have to go through all these troubles trying to fix a product you have released and making billions out of.
Reason why I switched from Android to Apple for my phones and tablets is becasue of the seamless user experience, regretfully I have to admit, this advantage is quickly going away. The amount of glitches in your recent ios updates and itunes are simply unacceptable.

Downloading videos on 7.0.2 hasn't worked as well as everyone had hoped. I still can't get mine to work, but i do know a few people who haven't had trouble with the newer itunes.

ITunes corrupted playback within itunes and has actually corrupted my files

I have a strange problem, when playing certain songs itunes will reference to the wrong song and sometimes start the playback within the middle of these wrong songs...what's worse is that the problem has effected the actual files on my hard drive...they play the wrong songs in finder and other audio applications as well. I hope that this is just a tagging issue that can be resolved but I have no idea how to go about it. Please Help!!

I didn't mess with the iTunes Media folder previously, so I don't think that was the cause. Anyway, I manually fixed most of the songs, but I still can't figure out how to fix the movies that became listed as songs.
Here is a screenshot of what it looks like when I click on "Get Info" for one of the movies (which has ended up in the music section on iTunes):
There is no option to change the media kind to "movie" or "video" even though it is a movie and it still plays as a movie if I press play.

Recently I bought a brand new HP Pavillion. I am running Windows Vista Premium and I started having trouble with video playback. When I go to play a video the audio is heard, the video skips dramatically, then at a certain point in the video Itunes shuts down. I have contacted the itunes help by email many times and they all told me the same things. Reinstall Update ect. I did everything and I know it is not the brand new computer. Here are my Specs:

Amd Turion Dual Core Processor
1024MB RAM
Itunes 7.1.1
Quicktime 7.1.5

drat. okay, for some models HP recently released a "Microsoft Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller Update" that has been fixing SATA problems like this on PCs with certain NVidia componentry. but i checked in at the Vista downloads page for your DV6225US, and it wasn't being listed there:

... still they may be planning on rolling out similar updates for other models, so it might be worth clicking on the "Notify Me" button down at the bottom of that page, just in case something does come out for your dv6225us.

Video playback from iTunes keeps pausing

Just bought an ipad air and synced it with my itunes. However video playback keeps pausing and I have to either restart the video app or rewind a minute or so to get it to keep playing. Even then it doesnt always work.
Any ideas what the problem may be?

I have the same problem. I have a g4 466 with a gigabite of ram. I installed the latest iTunes/quicktime updates. I downloaded a tv show, and it was nearly unwatchable, it dropped so many frames. What gives?

Need help fixing video playback on iTunes and worried it will affect iphone

First of all, the black levels when playing videos on iTunes looked terrible.
I looked all over on how to fix this..
So then I installed the lastest nvidia graphics drivers to help with video playback
After install my videos black level was definatly better, I think.
But now all videos play wierdly in the corner of the itunes program..

If exporting to i4 results in the same, there could be a problem with the movie itself. Try exporting to the i4 and replay the video. However if exporting to i4 plays okay on the phone, it's your Nvidia drivers. You can download the prior Nvidia drivers and downgrade.
There have been dozens of cases where Nvidia drivers even the newest ones have made a mess of games, movie playbacks, even viewing Windows programs.

Video Playback in iTunes (and Quicktime) All White

Since I updated iTunes and Quicktime, playback of all videos in them is now white, with a few dots of colour and just audio playing through.
Is there a solution to this yet?

The iTunes store writes, "All TV shows and other video content are now available in 640-by-480 resolution." And, QuickTime Tech Specs page, says the following.
For viewing videos purchased from the iTunes Store:
(Windows)
2.0 GHz Pentium-class processor or better
512MB of RAM
32MB video RAM
QuickTime 7.1.3
Windows 2000 or XP
For viewing 640x480 standard definition (SD) H.264 video:
(Windows)
2.0 GHz Intel Pentium class or better processor
At least 512MB of RAM
64MB or greater video card
Windows 2000 or XP
I don't know how much VRAM you have on your terminal, but it looks like you need a faster machine as far as CPU is concerned.

Rotating Video Playback within SWF

At playback I am rotating a video (FLV) from a landscape to a
portrait perspective (90 degree rotation) within a flash SWF. From
a technical perspective, does flash just rotate the video on the
fly, or does it go as far as to recreate and redraw the video in
the new perspective?
Are there any known issues with rotating video using
flash?

Video Playback on itunes and ipod

Hi,
I have an anoying problem.I bought Muse HAARP DVD version from itunes store which is a video of there concert at wembley,but when i playback on my ipod it dosent play in the correct order although they appear in the correct order in itunes.
Also at the end of a track the video and audio fades out to black then fades into another track in the wrong sequence.This is downloaded from itunes store so i would have guessed it should play in the correct order but it dosent.(I dont have shuffle on by the way)
Hope someone can help as im feeling a bit ripped off here.I wish id have bought the CD/DVD instead.

Video playback causes itunes to crash

Since version 8 I have been unable to watch purchased videos without iTunes crashing. The only thing that gets around this is completely installing iTunes again, I was wondering if anyone knows of a more permanant fix?

I turned off windows defender, that helped for me, but it didn't help a secondary and probably unrelated issue of playing videos on a 2nd monitor thanks.

Video playback in itunes freezes

I've been having this issue for quite a while with mutliple versions of iTunes. I am currently using 10.6.3 (25) 64 bit on a retina Mac Book Pro. I am also using Home Sharing across a WiFi network that is coming from a 3TB Timecapsule. The share I am playing from is on an iMac running the same version of iTunes.
For example:
Select "Breaking Bad Season 5 Episode 1" from home share and click play
Episode plays fine for 6 minutes then freezes
Play/Pause control in iTunes indicates it should be playing
Toggling play/pause/play will sometimes restart it but it does not play longer then a minute or so before freeezing again
Eventually even toggling play/pause/play does not resume playback
Rebooting booth systems helps in that it will resume for a period of time, perhaps 5 minutes but then these issues start happening all over again.
Both systems and theTimeCapsule WiFi router are in the same room withing 5 feet of each other so there should be no WiFi interference. Both systems show full 'bars' in the WiFi strength fan indicator.

Video playback in iTunes 7 and 7.0.1: it stutters!

Since I've upgraded to iTunes 7 and now to 7.0.1, all my music videos and tv movies play at 2 (in words: two!) frames per second when played inside iTunes. In Quicktime and also on the iPod (5g) or the TV set with an iPod connected they are playing very fine.
It seems to me that this is a problem with mpg4 because the h264-encoded files play fine in the iTunes application. Is there a workaround to fix this problem? I have over 350 music videos and short fun clips in my iTunes library to synchronize with the iPod and I'll not encode them all again to h264 just because there is a bug in iTunes.
Oh, btw.: At work I use an iMac (Intel) with the same iTunes 7.0.1-library. All the videos (mpg4 or h264) are playing fine there. Maybe Apple is not testing on the G5 anymore?

The 3ivX codec is in your quicktime library folder, normally: root/Library/QuickTime, but I don't think, that Apple encodes their movies with an unsupported codec. Maybe there is another unsupported codec in your library that creates the iTunes-stuttering or the reason for your problem is completely different. I paste here the content of my library folder. If you have anything else in your folder, quit Quicktime Player and iTunes (if they are running) , remove the plug-in and try your movie again in iTunes. Hope, this helps.

No video playback within IE 11

I am running Windows 7 Professional with all updates and patches installed. No embedded video will play in any IE 11 feed, although YouTube videos play just fine from within the YouTube site. If I attempt to watch a video embedded in CBS News, for instance, I can hear the audio, but the video does not display. I have Flash, SilverLight,Media Player, etc all installed and enabled. If I use Chrome, the videos play without issue.

Hi kdmhb. Since embedded videos only fail to play in Internet Explorer 11, at least you know the issue is specific to IE11. I have included several troubleshooting documents which should lead to a fix. Let me know if this helps.

No Video Playback after iTunes 10.5.1.42 update

Very frustrating! After updating iTunes (11/16/11), now I can´t watch any of my past video music purchases. I just get audio but no video at all! Anyone else having same problem?

I forgot to add that I can´t watch those videos anywhere (itunes viewer, iPad 2, Apple TV). I run Windows Vista.
