Video playlist won't advance

Hi,
Pretty simple problem; I create a regular playlist of TV shows, start the first one, and it stops at the end, doesn't advance to the next video. This happens whether I have shuffle and/or loop on or off. Anyone else notice this, or know the issue? Is it some little setting I've turned off? (Just tried smart playlists, and the work.)
Also, I used to be able to get video in the "now playing" window. Now it just shows the poster frame, even when I close the video window.

Are you sure that you don't have Shuffle on and Skip When Shuffling set on the tracks (under Get Info)?

New playlist won't advance

I just created a new playlist, and when I play it, it won't advance beyond the first song I choose. I tried turning on the shuffle option, but it does not fix the problem. After the first song, iTunes stops and won't advance unless I manually click on another song to play. None of my other playlists have this problem, so I am very confused!

Make sure all the songs on the playlist have a checkmark in front of the song title. Songs won't play automatically unless they're checked.

Video playlists won't play automatically?

I have kid's videos that are less than 4 minutes apiece, so that I have to automatically click every time it goes to the next video. Without consolidating all the videos into one file, how can I make a video playlist that will go to the next video automatically? I have a video playlist, but it still stops after every video is done and I still have to manually click through to the next one.

Is there anyway that I could get my videos to appear in my playlist? They are still in my ipod in the video section, but just won't appear in my playlist.

iOS6 problems aplenty ....not sure if the link I inserted is working or not, but the issue is a lot more prevalent - the issue being that what shows up & plays in iTunes after the iOS6 update is not what shows up (& plays) on the device itself. This may go beyond just the iPod Touch as well.
In my case I can see & play both audio & video files in my Playlist through iTunes, but can only see the Playlists on the iPod Touch with ALL of them being empty. Syncing numerous times no help. Contacting Apple Tech. Support no help - they suggested downloading my Purchases from the iTunes Store - waste of time, did not make a difference. It is clear Apple needs to release a fix to OS6.
Another problem I noticed on the device is that the Shuffle option is hidden on the built-in Songs Playlist, having to swipe the screen down to see it - dumb dumb dumb.

Videos don't show up on iPod video playlist

Maybe I'm not understanding something, but I subscribe to a coupld of video podcasts. They update fine off iTunes and they synch over to my iPod. The problem is, they don't show up in any of the video playlists. They show up under the 'recently added' list of both music and video files.
How can I get these things to list in the Video Podcast playlist?? Thanks for your help and thoughts!

Do you have a Fifth Generation iPod, or not?
Only Fifth Generation iPods are compatible with any videos, which include video podcasts that you try to download onto it.
So, if you have a Nano, for example, it isn't won't be capable of playing any video files, sorry.

Appletv will not repeat a video playlist more than 3 times via AirPlay

Trying to AirPlay a video playlist from my laptop to apple tv and have it repeat.
It repeats on laptop but will only repeats a few times on apple tv then stops and goes to appletv menu

Both in-coming and out-going.
Went through all the advanced settings with MediaTemple.
They said everything is set up correctly.
Again, the exact same username and password combination work perfectly when used to login via webmail.
The same settings work perfectly to login to the same account via my MBP.
I am only having problems with this IMAP account on my iPhone.

MediaTemple therefore says it's an Apple problem and sends me to ask Apple.
I acknowledge it very well could be a problem on the server side, saying there's no problem with any iPhone and IMAP because you've had no problem with the iPhone with IMAP is pretty rich. Googling iPhone and IMAP problems pulls up a lot of results, many of them leading to other people having various problems here in these very support forums. The most infuriating response is when you talk to the hardware/software vendor (here), they always say, "no problem on our end, talk to your service provider" and when you talk to the service provider they say, "no problem on our end, talk to Apple." And everyone just points fingers at the other guy.

How can I have videos playlist? - 5230

Hi. I have used video converter on my nokia pc suite and saved the music videos on my memory card.
Now, I need to know how to make a playlist and let my phone play videos all alone other that always having to press stop, back, select another song, press play etc.etc always for each and every song. Can that be possible on my nokia?

That's not entirely true
You just have to create a playlist using RealPlayer (I think it's an .RA or something) and load it to your device, then Realplayer can read that playlist.
I haven't done it in a while, but it is possible.

Hi, i have the same problem.. it´s frustating.. but i fonund a way.. it´s note the best but it might help a little bit.
you have to create a playlist in notepad.
Example:
file:///e:/Videos/Infected Mushroom - Becoming Insane.mp4
file:///e:/Videos/Video2.mp4
file:///e:/Videos/Video3.mp4
etc, etc
file:///e:/videos/ is the route where you put the videos. and then you put the name of the video. then on the next line put the other video.
then rename the notepad as: name.ram
where name is the name of the playlist
RAM is the extension of the playlist.
finally copy the your´re playlist to the memory card on playlist.
Open Real player on you´re phone. and on STREAMING links you will find youre playlist.
You won´t have the use of >> but when the video end it will continue with the next one. it´s like a continuous play.
i hope this help you a little bit.. or the other one is to google "Smartvideo" and this app has all the functions includes, avi, divx and vdix support.

Making a video playlist

I was just wondering if anyone knew how to make a video playlist (say for like a party) in either itunes or frontrow. I've tried making one in itunes but it doesn't seem to play like a normal music playlist because it won't go to the next video. Also, i realize i can make one in frontrow by just loading only the videos i want in the playlist into itunes but this seems like a big hassle. I appreciate the responses

Just started it playing on video then made that go to the end by moving the diamond that appears on the window when you hover the mouse. Moved on to the next track no problem.

The scrolling works in the top window in iTunes as well if you don't have the video playing in a different window. All tracks have the tick box to the left of them selected.

Video playlists in iOS? Please? Really please?

Prior to iOS 5, I used video playlists extensively. For example:
video playlist of cartoons/shows/videos/etc. to hand to our toddler during trips. One plays after the other.
I often get instructional material with video file names like "Lesson 1. Setting up", "Lesson 2. Configuring", etc. Now imagine five series and there are five Lesson 1, five Lesson 2. If you just list all the programs, it's impossible to know which Lesson 2 follows which Lesson 1, etc.
My Classic iPod (click wheel) has video playlists and they're great. My iPhone, iPad...no. All I get is a long list of videos and neither of the above two scenarios work.
Is there a workaround for video playlists? I've heardpeople mention a couple apps, but Video Playlists is iPad-only, and other players require sync outside of iTunes. I already have all the videos setup in video playlists in iTunes. I can put them on my iPod classic with no problem...but with the supposedly more advanced iOS, it's impossible.
Does iOS 6 have video playlists?

I'm having a similar problem. I have movies and Curb your Enthusiasm episodes that i have put into video playlists, and now (in addition to showing up properly in the video playlists secition) they're ALSO showing up under music playlists as well (but just the titles, there's no content in the playlist there).
What can i do to fix this???

Playlists won't download

With my iPod...it's just one problem after the next.
My playlists won't download to my Fifth Generation iPod with Video. I have them on iTunes, but only the mandatory playlists, like '90s Music, Recently Added, etc, will go to my iPod. Also, podcasts sync to my iPod and appear in Recently Added, but do not appear under the Podcasts section of my iPod. Anyone have an inkling as to why?

Anyone else having problems with Video Playlist?

I've seen a few posts on the board regarding this problem, however none of which seem to be addressing the main issue. We're unable to create video playlists, at least not in the conventional way. Does anyone know if the iPod Touch simply doesn't support video playlists? I have a number of music videos that I have created a playlist for and on my touch it is automatically grouped in with 'Music' not 'Video' and therefore doesn't display any of the video content, only plays the music for the video. I know for certain that this playlist is valid, it works GREAT on my Video Ipod.
Has anyone had any success with creating a music video playlist? Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

My music videos (files with "Music Video" chosen on the Kind tab) appeared at the very bottom of the Touch's video library all by themselves. The library list seems to have three sections: Movies at the top, TV in the middle, and music vids at the bottom.

When I "Preview In Browser" through Edge it plays (I have created a shape and used the "play video full screen" snippet) in full screen mode just fine. When I "Preview Site In Browser" through Muse and click on the shape to PLAY VIDEO FULL SCREEN, it does nothing. I am new to both programs and can't figure out why it will work out of the preview window in Edge and won't work when I publish to Muse. Does anybody have an answer or a work-around for me?

IE: to make the videos play consecutively in the order i want without stopping after each video and gong back to the list.... this is what i have had to resort to make it work....what i want to do....is be able to make a playlist of videos on my iphone 5....take my apple tv to friends houses and with wifi....set up apple tv and play videos at the party and not have to stand by with the remote and find a new video to play stopping the music between the songs/videos....very annoying....and have spent over 4 hours one day and an hour and a half today on the phone today with a sr. advisor with apple and they have no clue.... this seems sooooo simple.... please somebody that really knows how to do this....i will be indebted forever...............

Html5 video player won't work with slider script??

Hi - I'm new to html5 and Dreamweaver, but I've worked with html in the past, so most things aspects aren't foreign to me.
My question is this: I'm working with an existing html5 template and it had a slider graphics bar near the top. It works fine and scrolls through three pre-made banners.
The problem is I just added the widget for HTML5 Videoplayer and inserted it into my code. The video box, etc. shows up fine, and will play, but now the slider graphic box at the top doesn't work anymore. Instead it just displays all three banners as images, one on top of the other.
When I look closer at the script code that the widget embeds, it seems as though the script widget code is not playing well with the existing script code. When I remove the script code that the widget installs, the slider works perfectly again (but the video obviously won't play).
The exact code is included below. My question is, how can I make the two of these scripts work together???Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks, Blair

When looking at the empty screen with the name of my former playlist on top, if I tap the edit button on the phone, tap the + button to add a 'song' to the playlist, and then tap 'Done' without adding anything, I can see all my videos in the playlist with the red minus symbol next to each of them. But as soon as I tap 'Done' again they all disappear!
I saw on another forum that someone has had the same problem but fixed it by, and I quote
"If you go to Get Info and change the Media Kind from Movie to Music Video under the Options tab, they all now appear in the playlists!"
I'm happy this worked for him, but when I tap "File" in itunes, the "Get info" field is greyed out, so I can't test the solution proposed.
Any ideas?
