Video plays blank screen??

i converted videos with videora succesfully before but now they play in itunes but not on my ipod. i have it set to h264 320x bah blah the same as the succesfull converts and they still dont work i tried restoring my ipod any ideas??

In working with the Apple iTunes Store support, they identified that there is an issue with the 1080p versions of these files. They will be updating these files shortly.

How do I stop videos playing full screen on iPhone 5c?

I've recently purchased the iPhone 5C and I'm having trouble working out Safari and playing audios. When I click an audio (ie.. a radio programme on download) it immediately expands to full screen and I cannot find a way of going back to the safari screen. I have to keep the audio playing until the end and then it seems to switch back. I know there's probably something really simple I can do to stop videos and use Safari to browse something else, but for the life of me I can't work out what! help please!

OK - so someone sent me a downloadable audio file on dropbox. I clicked "download" and it immediately opened safari and started playing full screen. I couldn't do anything to stop it playing or open a browser window to search. how do I stop this from happening? I can't use safari until the audio has completed and returned to a safari browser screen.

.swf won't play - blank screen

Hello,
I had my flash designer take a 16MB .mpg file and convert it
to a 2MB .swf
file.
I created a "blank" .hmtl page and dropped in the .swf -
which shows up as
the white box on this page:

After I got a blank screen, I uploaded the .flv (2MB) and the
.fla (14MB)
files to the server as well (same folder as the .html file)
but that didn't
help - same blank screen.
Can anyone help me understand why this .swf won't play?

Tested in Chrome, IE7, and FF3

Some videos will not play (blank screen).

Some of my videos will not play. I select the video and a "Play" arrow shows in the upper left portion of the screen, but the screen is dark (blank). I can press Menu and return.
I don't believe it's a size issue because certain other larger videos do play. Nor do I think it's a format issue because all of the videos are the same format (*.m4v). It also doesn't appear to be a time/sync issue because some videos added after others do play and some don't.
I really don't have a problem reformatting and starting over if that is the best or only solution as I only use iTunes and don't have calendar, notes, etc.

Where are these from? Are they from the iTunes Store or where they downloaded elsewhere and then added to your library? Perhaps you can try restoring your iPod to factory settings and then resyncing the videos back over to it.
If the videos are not from iTunes, perhaps you can try and re-convert them using a third party utility such as Handbrake or MPEG Streamclip.

I have a design with embedded videos (pulling from my photo album).
In the design they fit inside other elements, often at a reduced size.
When I tap them in a presentation, I'd like them to go full screed instead of playing at their "native" embed size.
Tap, full screen play, tap, return to page and pause.
Much like a website does in a "lightbox" mode.
Is this possible?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

Video distortion / blank screen on startup

I recently installed a fresh copy of Tiger (erase + install) on a 1.8GHz, 20" iMac G5. I cloned this iMac using CarbonCopyCloner from another iMac, same specs, that had the fresh copy of 10.4. Right before the clone, I installed 512Mb of Kingston RAM (so, 768Mb total now). After the RAM install, everything went ok, I booted the computer from an external drive, wiped the internal drive, and started the clone, which finished successfully. 10.4.4 started just fine. I went into the system prefs and changed the computer name so it's different than the iMac I cloned. Then I opened Photoshop CS2 (unactivated) to enter my activation code/serial number. As soon as Photoshop started the screen went crazy. I could barely make out a kernal panic screen. I held down the power button and restarted, but now I get this, followed by a black screen. I took out the new ram - same problem, I took out the old ram - same problem, tried using Hardware Test but still get a distorted screen. A little green LED in the iMac is lighting up "1". Anyone know what's wrong with it?

I can't see the screen when I run the hardware test... it's so distorted I can't make out anything. Also, I've tried taking out the Kingston RAM (leaving it with the original apple-installed ram) and I still had the same problem.

Not losing the other screen would be useful as I would like to, for example, monitor my emails whilst watching a video or to work on a project whilst watching an instructional video.
Note : Resizing a window to fill the screen is not acceptable as it still leaves unsightly borders.

SWF displaying as Black or Blank Screen only the video audio play. PLEASE HELP!!

I have tried getting my videos to play and all I get is a black screen with audio only.
After I got a blank screen, I uploaded the .flv (2MB) and the swf files to the server as well (same folder as the .html file) but that didn’t help – same blank screen.
Can anyone help me understand why this .swf won’t play?

Youtube video is blank,but audio played well. other browser such as chrome got no problem with it. FF Developer Edition.

- youtube video just blank, but audio is there. tried both embedded in facebook or other website, and at youtube.com. both same result.
- facebook video played just fine
- other browser played just fine.. no problem at all..
- i'm on firefox developer edition
- tried installing latest flash update, still the same result.

Blank screen in Flash 8 Video Encoder with DivX

When using the Flash 8 video encoder to encode a DivX file, I
get a blank screen. No problem with the wmv files I've tried. this
is on two freshly purchased HP Windows Media Center XP PCs. Have
not had the same issue with our older Dell PCs, also XP(Pro not
Media Center). I have re-installed Flash 8 and the Divx codecs but
still have the issue.
Any ideas?

I have this option from right click menu - Convert to Mpeg 2
and save.
By the way, does your CD comes with Sony Vega program?
This one is able to open Sony's raw file format and export to
very nice
quality mpeg that works superb in flash. I did lots of video
using Vega,
to adjust the sharpness, color contrasts and all, before
start exporting and
down sizing...

TS1424 Downloaded rented movie but only 1/2 abl to play, then get blank screen

i rented movie a movie from iTunes. It took 10 hours to download due to connection speed at a hotel. afer downloading, everything looked ok. halfway into the movie it went to a blank screen with no response while in videos. I was eventually able to double click the home button, rewind, then stop the movie.
Now, how do I get the rest of the movie? i only have 24 hours to watch it before it disappears from my iPad.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

You can find the serial number either in About this Mc in the Menu bar under the , or it should be on a sticker under the foot of the machine.
If you have the install discs, try booting from them, holding down the c key and then using Disk Utility to check the drive.
You can also boot into Safe mode
To start up into Safe Mode (to "Safe Boot"), do this:
   1. Be sure the computer is shut down.
   2. Press the power button.
   3. Immediately after you hear the startup tone, press and hold the Shift key.
      Tip: The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
   4. Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple and progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
During the startup in Mac OS X 10.2 through 10.3.9, you will see "Safe Boot" on the Mac OS X startup screen.
During the startup in Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you will see "Safe Boot" on the login window, which appears even if you normally log in automatically.
Please post back with results,
To leave Safe Mode in any version of Mac OS X, restart the computer normally, without holding any keys during startup.
