Video podcast is showing in the store; downloading but not playing

I got this error so I googled it and was taken here, I have searched they the forum but no help. I am able to see my episode in the itunes folder but everytime I click on it to play it just downloads over and over again.

Video podcast is showing in the store but not downloading or streaming

I've been able to upload the video podcast (~345MB, 50 minutes, 480x272, .m4v) and it will appear in iTunes, but when clicked to download there is no file downloading. It says the length is 0:00.
We've tried everything to get this to work and it seems like there are no answers on the net.
Any ideas as to how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

All the episodes which appear in the Store and when subscribing appear to be OK. The feed contains a 17th episode which you have commented out and thus does not appear in iTunes.

Im having a similar promblem! Only its doesnt work on my Itunes library and the song ends at 49 seconds. Have you fixed your problem yet?

Lock Screen notification center - I want messages to show in the N/C but not on the actual lock screen itself. Any way to do this?

In ios7, is there any way to have incoming text messages show up in the notification center on the lock screen but not pop up on the actual lock screen itself? I cant get this combination to work and it seems like it shoud. The text notificaitons do not show at all on the L/S notification center unless I choose the allow on lock screen option. But this not only puts it in the L/S notification center but also adds it to the lock screen itself. I dont want it to do both.

Your email accounts will not actually be reset. The only things that will get reset if you hit reset settings will be your homescreen and lockscreen (your pictures will still be on your phone they just default back to the initial ones), the size of your text, the sounds you use for text messages and ringtones (any of the ones that you have specifically customized for certain contacts will not be reset it's only the ones that you use for yourself) and a couple other minor things. None of the apps that you have to set up personall as in facebook or twitter will reset. I really recommend do this, nothing major will get reset on the phone it's just some minor settings. Just make sure to hit 'Reset All Settings' and NOT 'Reset All Content And Settings'.
I've also tried it with messages app specifically after I hit 'Reset All Settings' and it works like a charm. No messages pop up on my screen but I can access and preview in the notification center without having to unlock my phone.

Most of my music library disappeared upon upgrading iTunes; it shows on the capacity bar but not in the iphone

How do I restore music, audiobooks and podcasts to my iTunes? only 2 albums remain, 2 songs, 2 artists, no books, no podcasts. and yet the capacity bar shows that all the music is still there. and they are all still on my computer. repeated attempts to sync individual categories (music, audiobooks, podcasts) have not worked. Want to remove a podcast that shows on the ipod itself but doesn't appear in the library under itunes

I have a podcats on my ipod touch that doesn't appear in the podcast library that I want to remove. Deleting all the podcasts & replacing them with new podcasts doesn't help. Any ideas?

Go to the apple.com to download the latest iTunes and ipod updater and install accorindingly, then do a Reset of your iPod i.e. Press "Menu"+"Select" keys. Connect it with your iBook and open iPod updater, hope it will allow you to do a Restore. If failed, then press "Select"+"Play" keys to put your iPod in Disk Mode, connect it back with your iBook, open the iTunes and you will able to see your iPod there. Then open the ipod updater and do a restore. You may need to do a few attempts in order to achieve the solution

New TV shows show up on Store menu, but not series menu

The problem I am having is that sometimes a TV show will appear in the TV shows section of iTunes, but when I click on the link to that particular episode, it brings me to the page for the correct season of that series, but the episode is nowhere on the list. For example, can anyone else access the new TV show CSI Las Vegas episode 'For Gedda' which appears under programs 'currently on'?

Looks like an "oops" to me. Contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department using the form on their Contact page and let them know about the problem.

I found the update function for Genius which is hidden in the Store menu but not in the actually Store. I repeatedly update Genius, get the message that it is communicating with Apple, then that Genius is updated but it never works. What gives?

Repeted updates to Genius do nothing. I always get an error message for all 13,000 songs I have. My disc drive crashed and its taken months to reload click by click every song from the cloud or my computer. iTunes repeatedly crashes if you try to load more than about 50 songs at a time, and always crashes around the 200th song. All my playlists were erased and when I synch one of my two iPods everything on that was erased including all the play lists, I don't ever want to synch my other iPod because it still has dozens of my play lists that it took years to create based on 13,000 songs. So warning iTunes totally ***** if this ever happens to you. My Zune account on the other hand was fine. Anyway back to the question at hand - Genius use to work for my collection. Genius still works for the iPod which I will never synch again, why doesn't it work for my collection now despite repeated updates. Suppose its just another buggy Apple piece of software. BTW don't ever use Apple's iCloud it eats your entire music collection, erases it from you computer and then doles it out one click at a time from the cloud - another stupid piece of software from the geniuses at Apple. But why am I surprised Apple destroyed the record industry, so why not destroy everyone's CD collection and just reduce us all to slaves of iTunes and its magic. I'm sick of Apple and its bloated reputation for great software.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATION" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up").
In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC. Now try another QuickTime install (Version 7.7.1). Does it go through properly this time?

The Who downloaded but not syncing

I downloaded one of the Who albums and went to syncing the album to my ipod. It didn't. I found it in my laptop with the file extension .tmp and the file information listed as "download". This is the first time I had problems with download and syncing. I know ITunes won't let me redo the download. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

You can turn all of them back on by selecting the Normal Startup option under the General tab of the System Configuration Utility window, but please note that this may cause the issue to reoccur.
If you are able to isolate the issue to a particular third-party software, you may wish to contact them to let them know of the conflict.

Anyone have any ideas whether this is from the the software version 1.3 and if they'll fix it in the next update?

Assuming you are using Safari ...
Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Make sure to uninstall the currently installed Flash plugin first.
Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
