Video podcasting problem - video unable to download through iTunes

We are currently having an issue with downloading video through iTunes.
We have 12 main videos and have been up and running for almost a year now. We changed our video server since we were getting more traffic. But we left the feed.xml on the same server since that does not influence the bandwidth usage.
When we changed the video server, we only revised the enclisure url in the feed.xml. All the moved videos were checked after the move and they do play.
The problem right now is that when we go to the iTunes store and try to download it through iTunes, it gives us this error
There was an error adding the episode to iTunes
The file might be corrupted, or a file type that iTunes cannot play.
If I can view and download through a browser, why would this error appear? I have even added the mimetype as suggested here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1834388&#1834388
The video was originally converted from a 720x480 dv/ntsc mov into a mpeg4 by using the quicktime player pro export, movie to ipod option.
Any insights are appreciated.

The problem you're seeing isn't caused by the server where your videos are hosted, but is a problem with the feed itself. See http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fgoanimetv.com%2Ffeed.xml - the big problem diagnosed is that there's an XML parsing error which is breaking the podcast in iTunes. At line 350 you've got some javascript code (which won't work in XML) - take out those lines and your feed will validate and start working in iTunes again.

The weird thing is that I downloaded the film from iTunes and while it was downloading I was watching it with my kids on my IMac. Once it had finished downloading I went with them to the living room Tao carry on watching on our apple tv. The apple TV wouldn't play it and said I needed to authorise my Pc, then the IMac gave the message above and I haven't been able to play it since. All my other downloaded films play. I have the same problem. Been trying to find some answers, but not a lot of info about this. It seems to happen only when:
- itunes library is stored remote (NAS or external HD)
- starting a movie/show before download has finished will make it fail next time you try to start
Hope this gets fixed soon.. it's making purchasing content via itunes a hassle

Occasionally ill try downloading an App through my Macbook Pro 13.5 & it directs me to iTunes to be downloaded. So, I go to iTunes and download the App I need. For instance, Amazon. I go into 'My Apps' in iTunes and try clicking on one of my DL Apps, but nothing happens. Why can't I access the Apps, which I downloaded through iTunes.?I believe I'm doing something wrong and not that the issue is iTunes itself. I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. I am due for an upgrade from that software and also an upgrade for iTunes as well, but that shouldn't be the problem. I've tried everything on my end to troubleshoot. Once you download an iOS app, you cannot run that app from the computer. That can only be run from an iOS device. You cannot download Mac Apps from the iTunes App Store, those are downloaded from the Mac App Store. Two different places. If you want a Mac app that will run on your Mac, you need to download that from the Mac App Store. iTunes App Store only has iOS apps that work on iOS devices, iPhone, iPad, or iPod.

Hi all...I just got a solution to the problem. It's foolproof. Connect your iPad to your PC and re-install iOS 6. In case you would like to know how - Click on iPad in iTunes and then click on restore button. Then just follow the steps from there on. It worked for me. I know this is a "not-the-desired" solution, but it will fix your problem. For me it solved another problem - I had noticed a deterioration in speed when I had originally upgraded from 5 to 6. After doing this re-install, I can confirm, there is a noticeable difference in speed...across the board, including Siri responses. Thanks and best of luck.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
5. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
6. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.

Since there is no "Software Update", you are not yet up to iOS 5. That is where that feature was introduced.
So your only choice is to use iTunes to update your software.

Problems downloading through iTunes

I can't download anything through iTunes. For apps, it says "an unknown error occurred (-50)". For any iOS updates, it just says that the file was corrupt. Help?

How do I remove a current movie download through iTunes on my iPad?

I purchased a movie last night through iTunes. It successfully downloaded to my desktop computer (OS X 10.8.2) in iTunes & synced to my iPad Videos app, no problem. However, It is still continuing to download on my iPad! I have paused it for now and tried everything to try and remove, but have had no luck. HELP!

To delete videos , tap the Video icon on your iPad screen. Tap and hold your finger down on the video(s) you want to delete. Tap the white circle with the x to delete the video.

I am having difficulty downloading APPS in my IPAD2. iCloud keeps on reinstalling APPS. And about iTunes, do I have to keep the APPS I downloaded through iTunes? Because I only have a Mac Air 11 64G, so I don't want to back up my iPad apps in the Mac.

Help? I keep on moving in circles. If I download the app through itunes and i go online with the ipad, icloud reinstalls the apps. Then if I download apps with the ipad and I plug it into the Mac, iTunes is forcing me to copy the purchases I made on the iPad to my iTunes. Unable to download iMove & iTune updates

I have recently upgraded to Mountain Lion. I am now unable to download iMove and iPhoto updates. I have contacted iTunes and have been told it is a technical problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Worked out what the problem was; evidently Mountain Lion does not like iLife 09 and needs to be updated with iLife11 before it can download. To enable Mountiain Lion to download, iLife11 was installed at the Apple Shop; to access updates I need to purchase iLife11 on my account.

3253 error code, times out Downloads through itunes on mac

I have been trying to download the iphone 4 upgrade and some other larger files like movies through itunes and it is soooo slow and always times out or show an error 3253 message. I have searched for a remedy but only find things in regards to windows and i'm on my mac. I'm disconnected my modem/router and reconnected, rebooted, etc. but still having problems. Help! My iphone downloads movies faster than itunes does. The songs are not a problem.
