Video problem plese help!!

ok so i have some music videos in itnes right, i converted them to the MPEG format, and theyre in the music vids playlist. but, when i plug in my ipod to update it, they dont appear ANYWHERE on my ipod. id really appreciate it if someone could help me.

5800 Video problems ..help please

I have just purchased a new Nokia 5800, and have tired to get some of my music videos that i have downloaded from iTunes on to it (mpeg4 format) but with no joy, none of the Nokia software will regonize the clips so unable to transfer them, and when i have just copied and pasted from my PC to the phone direct it will only play the audio part of the clip.
Is there something i am doing wrong or where can i get music video clips that will play on my phone.

Many tunes and videos from iTunes will not play on other phones or even PCs. They may be copyright protected. The default video format is .mp4. That's the file type you get when you take a video with the phone is almost all of the available resolutions except the smallest.

i installed itunes a month ago and since then i could only watch videos in the quick time and only in the ipod format.
today i deleted itunes and quick time but i still cant watch videos!
i also install my codec file (k-lite) and it did not work...
all i see is a black screen...
what sould i do?

Do you get sound and is the screen black all the time? What is your CPU utilisation like when playing video. If it dosen't budge when you play a video then I don't know what the problem is. But if it goes up and increases dramatically you could be experiencing a problem with directx. I suggest you try turning it off and see whether you can play a video then.
To do this go to *_Start > Control Panel > Quicktime > Advanced (Tab)._*
Under video deselect "Enable Direct 3D video acceleration" apply the changes and restart iTunes. If the video does not work still you my want to turn of directx entirely. Do what you did before but this time select "Safe Mode (GDI Only)".
This fix generally works for jerky or stopping video and I thought that if your computer is old or slow enough then your video may not even begin to play.
Sorry if this doesn't help and if so make sure to revert all the DirectX changes.

IChat 4 Video problem - Please help, tried everything!

I'm using iChat 4 on 10.5 Leopard on my iMac 2.8ghz. It's behind an Airport Extreme router. I've opened ports 5190, 5220, 5222, 5223, 5298 TCP and 5060, 5190, 5297, 5298, 5353, 5678, 16384-16403 UDP and mapped to the IP of the iMac (192.168.1.100). (First question - if I have 2 Mac's behind the firewall, is there any way to use both with video chat outside the network? Can I use 192.168.1.0?) I've also turned off the Leopard firewall (Accept all incoming), and I've also tried allowing specifics and inserting iChat. I'm trying to connect to my laptop outside of the home using AIM. I can get text chat, but no video. The invites make their way through, but then iChat says the other use "has declined the invitation" even when I click Accept in AIM. I've tried going both ways, nothing works. The laptop is directly connected to the new via AT&T's HSDPA cellular modem. I've also tried the laptop behind a Linksys router in a DMZ zone; no luck. I've reached the end of my rope - I have absolutely no idea how to proceed to get this to work, and I've just gotten frustrated with it. After opening all the ports, I just don't get why it doesn't work. I'm traveling this week, but when I get home I will try plugging the iMac directly into the BellSouth/AT&T DSL modem (Westell Wirespeed - IP passthrough mode right now). I've tried on the iMac using canyouseeme.org to check out open ports, and 5060, 5190, and 5678 show "No Route to Host" and 16402 shows "Connection Timed Out."
Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.

You have remembered to change the Login port to 443 since upgrading ? (for your ZyXel)
iChat does UPnP.
If you run /Applications/iChat.app/Contents/MacOS/iChat -errorLogLevel 7 in Terminal you will see it listed.

Major Video Problem. Help Please!!!!!

I have a very very serious problem that is impossible for me to solve so please help me if you can. I bought a Vga card Msi Geforce mx440se-t 64MB DDR Ram w/tv-out, My problem is after I installed the Msi Live update 3 it gave me the latest drivers and an upgrade for the BIOS, Unfortunately I downloaded this upgrade and installed it to ver.4.17.20.13.00, I thought this version will be better than the older original one but unfortunately it's not, The problems began and I couldn't manage it.
In windows Xp a weird blue screen appeared at everytime I restart windows but it was solved when I installed the drivers again. But in win98 which I really need, it reboots evertime it tries to enter the desktop, exactly after the splash screen.
But I can use the windows when there is no VGA drivers installed or in the safe mode. So I can't use except 16 colors and this of course doesn't satisfy anybody. Please all what I want is to reflash the BIOS again to the original version that I don't know it's number and where to get it.
And please tell me is it safe to reflash the BIOS again whether to newer or older version?
Anybody can help this will be a great appreciation

IChat Video Problems! Help

Hello all, im new to forums so sorry if this issue has recently been posted.
I had a video chat with my friend about 3 nights ago. However earlier today
when i tried to hold a video chat with him it did not work due to communication error. The messages kept popping up and it just would not work. So i asked him what version he was on (idk why just curious because we were fine a few days ago) and he said 4.0.5. Im on my MBA and i tried my brothers macbook both of us are using 4.0.2 ... now the thing is..im scared to update my MBA because last i heard 10.5.4 is horrible, and im on 10.5.2 which is fine for me....
whats wrong with the ichat? anyone have any ideas why its not working anymore? i already checked my internet connection, reset it, and restarted computers. I have not yet tried to ichat with anyone else though but my friend says ichating with others is working for him.

ill test that but heres the update. Now my video chat is working with everyone BUT that particular friend. That friend received the mac through school, from some program. It worked the first day but then now its not. He also mentioned how another person who got the mac from the school is experiencing the same problem when VIdeo chatting with users who have mac NOT from the school. However the 2 people (my friend and his friend) can video chat with eachother fine....
but thats the wierd thing, if the school blocked it wouldnt it be from the first day? how was i able to video chat the first day and i cannot anymore

Tandberg Video Problem - Newbie Help

Newbie here!
Camera is not sending video nor can video of other locations be seen on the monitor of one of our Tandberg units..audio is working. Screen is just showing a icon of a phone with the word STREAMING on it. This is not a newly setup unit...it was working just a week ago.
Any advise on where to start troubleshooting? Any help or direction would greatly be appreciate. Thanks!

I figured it out. Found there was an existing streaming connection that was looping. Select that connection under calls and his the cancel/disconnect button on remote.

Nokia n96 video problems.Need help please

how do i go about putting videos on through pc suite but everytime i try, it starts converting and stops quatre way there.
i tryed using another media converter all together now don't know what format or resolution the videos have to be converted to in order to work on my phone. the videos i have been trying to convert are .avi format.
does anyone have any advice that can help me?

PC suite is the wrong tool for this job as it's not very good at handling large files.

Look through the archives on there and you will find a very good guide on what programs to use and the required settings.
If your avi files are divx or xvid you may want to install the programs below to see if you can play them without conversion. The program on the first link is free, the second is not but a demo may be available.

There's video problems with my Zen Vision:M already (M video cable related) Please help

Some background...
System:Windows XP with Service Pack 2.
Player: Brand new Creative Zen Vision: M with no firmware updates.
My Zen Vision:M has a problem (besides the scratch and fingerprint attracting top surface): It won't play videos on a TV screen when the M Video Cable (also from Creative) is linked to it anymore. It's only been a few hours...
I had the cable already, and got the player today. I let the player charge to /4th of a battery while I was setting up all the software. I ran the software programs just to take a peek, only changing the name of my player (to my name). I used Winamp 5.3 to put a music track on the player to test it. After that, I hooked it up to the VCR in my room through the white and yellow A/V plugs in front. It worked just fine. It to the tv a little large, but I was okay with it.
Later on today, the new AC charger I ordered came in the mail (Player came through UPS, charger through USPS). I looked at my old charger (Creative Zen Touch) and realized it would work with the plug-in part of the sync unit at the bottom. I tested it for a minute and it did. I still took it out and tried the new one. This is where, I think, something happened. I had to press the sides to get the thing in, and it was hard to come out. Everything still fit just right, and nothing seemed to be wrong. I used my old charger as I added more of my music library. Now it was on to videos. I had to convert the first two test vids (they were .wmv), but they played on my player fine. I put a bigger .wmv file onto the player to see if it had to convert it, and it did. It still played on the player. When I go to hook it to the TV with the A/V cord again, there was nothing but a black screen with the occasional diagonal scan line. The sound is still there.
Besides quirks with the navigational system, the player is still great for music and video. Still, I needed no video capability, and one of the things that made the ZVM a buy for me was watching my vids on the big screen. I'd return this for a second try, but I want to know if this is a recurring issue with you guys and if there's something I can do to fix it before a return. Did I mess with a setting? Should I get new firmware? Did I do wrong using my old charger? If any of you have an answer, or need more info on my situation, please let me know.
And BTW, does anyone know of some better software for organizing files on the ZVM? I used Winamp for my Zen Touch and the music on my ZVM, but videos are another ballpark. I can't transfer a video from one folder to another folder (assuming both folders are on the ZVM). Not to mention the music I transferred using Winamp isn't even showing up in Windows Media Player. I think I need a different program altogether.

I have got a new Creative Zen Vision W and getting the same problem....when i attach to the tv then i am able to hear the audio content and the video does not show.Are we missing something ? or is it a problem with the player. Also the software provided with the Zen converts small .vob files to .wmv when ever the size is large it gives an error 'conversion?unsucessful'.Any body facing similar problems please help.

I watch YouTube videos on a regular basis - mostly with the YouTube app but also with Safari.
Some YouTube videos are supported to be viewed on a computer only or with a Flash capable device, which is becoming few and far between since Adobe no longer supports Flash on any mobile platform.
Sometimes I get this video cannot be played on this platform, but rarely.

Need help with video problems

Back in May I was having problems with video on my Mac. I was helped by this site and am hoping for more help. I downloaded the realaudio, but was still having problems. I assumed because I was on dial up. It was so slow. It would take forever to load and then play for a few minutes then need to load some more. I now have DSL and was looking forward to kissing the video problems good-bye! My new problem is that when I try to watch or listen to anything like innertube it "stutters." Is there something else I should be doing? How can I fix this problem?

With those specs you should be absolutely fine. I would suggest that you update to 10.4.10 at least (download the full Combo updater). Once you are on that:

In Quicktime Preferences, under advanced, UNcheck Enable Flash, and under Mime settings/Miscellananeous only check Quicktime HTML (QHTM).

In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them).
Now go to Safari Preferences/Security, and tick the boxes under Web Content (all 4 of them).
Lastly open Audio Midi Setup (which you will find in the Utilities Folder of your Applications Folder) and click on Audio Devices. Make sure that both Audio Input and Audio Output, under Format, are set to 44100 Hz.
Important: Now repair permissions and restart.
The world should now be your oyster!
You should also consider having the free VLC Player from http://www.videolan.org/ in your armory, as this plays almost anything that DVD Player might not.
