Video Qualität in Lightroom Diashow

Hallo Zusammen,
vielen Dank!
Nikolas

Yep, you got it. Applied a preset to the import of 2000+ photos and a few videos. The preset must have caused the issue.
Thanks John

  • Can I clip videos without compression in Lightroom?

I have a bunch of high definition *.mov files from my DSLR. Each is a few minutes long and each has one or two short (about 15 second) clips that I would like to keep. My ideal workflow would be to create a virtual copy of the video for every clip I want and then export each of these without losing any video quality. I know I can export to *.mp4 at maximum quality, but I find there is still a loss of quality. In particular the color is dull in the exported clip. I would simply like to clip the video without changing the format, but the only other option in Lightroom seems to be to export the entire video, which is of course not what I want. Given that my camera can clip videos in this manner, I figure LR should be able to also.
If I can't do this in LR, can I do it with some other Adobe product?

I think that if you are satisfied with the final quality of your DVD image there is no reason to change the settings. You can adjust to higher bitrates in the settings, but most probably you'll get playback problems in your distributed DVDs.
If your image is good now, no reason to change it just to take more space !

  • Lightroom diashow nvidia driver windows 7

    Hallo,
    Vaio PCG-GRT996ZP, Nvidia FX5600
    Danke für jede Hilfe, JPB

I tried a GX600 and modified a driver for it (with laptopvideo2go.com website).
    You can download it here:
    faenl.msi.eu/index.php?dir=Notebook/GX600/&file=Nvidia_195.81_win7x64_graphics_driver_modified_for_GX600%28unofficial%29.zip
Please note that this is not officially supported and/or tested.
I cannot give any support on modified drivers.
I tested it on GX600 with a Geforce 8600M GT (DEV_0407, SUBSYS_3FAD1462) and it installed fine but haven't run any games or benchmarks.
I just wanted to say thank you for the great driver. I have tested it on a MSI gx600 with a fresh installation of Windows 7 and the Nvidia 8600M GT works great with it. I tried the drivers directly from Nvidia and it did not work, so your solution is the way to go.
    Thank you.

  • Mass Video Asset Management in Lightroom 4 - Watch as I Test (Flail and Fumble)

The Project is to: catalog, keyword, manage, rate, and organize over 3400 video clips (AVCHD clips re-wrapped as MOV files) shot in 30 days in Costa Rica. The shoot was purely run and gun -total guerrilla style. As we were unable to do much transfer and review in the field, I came home with a huge project to complete before editing videos. I've limited the choices of software for asset management & organization down to Lightroom 4 or CatDV. Ethically, I feel obligated to say that I"m pulling for Adobe since I use the entire suite, and there are some nice fringe benefits keeping everything "in house,"
First Step: All video files are AVCHD files which are re-wrapped (by ClipWrap) into MOV files. This step is crucial, since AVCHD does not include/store metadata in the video file itself.
Second Step: Files are stored on the MAC-OS level into folders corresponding to the dates the shots were taken
Third Step: Get the 3400+ files organized, weeded, and prepped for editing
@#$!)~*(*&%^ <-- That's what a record scratch looks like in the digital age
I started examining software solutions and gave each a couple of good tries to narrow the choices down to TWO packages of software:
OnLocation - Couldn't feel it and it looks like it's meant to work for a different flow. No.
Cosmos - Couldn't really do much of anything with metadata. No.
Bridge - Almost there, but pretty limited and not dual screen friendly at all. No.
CatDV - Now there you go...almost. Everything is in a catalog meaning you have to go between this software and Premiere. Definite maybe.
Lightroom 4 - Comes with heaps of background in organizing stills, how will it work for massive amounts of video? Definite maybe.
CatDV and Lightroom 4 both imported everything just fine.
I'll post more as I get into it. Soon, if anyone cares to read more.

Lightroom 4 has completed the task of importing 3440 video clips. CatDV (fully functional 30 day trial) crashed again on the large import. I'm going to try importing 10 folders at a time in CatDV.
As I start to play in Lightroom4 with asset mgmt:
    PROs
    Slick relatively tweakable user interface
Keyword buttons are great (wish we could have more on the surface)
Nice "twirl-down" flow that Adobe uses in the product line -I love this
    CONs
Lightroom4 video previews are horrifically sluggish at best, and at this point is unusable for a large collection
The scrub over (video thumbnail) preview is a huge resource hog and would benefit from a disable option
Second Monitor pane has some issues/incongruencies with the main monitor pane:
Grid view will not allow multiple files to be graded/keyworded/etc simultaneously
Loupe view will not play video files and treats the video file preview like a photo
This is all for now. More on CatDV when I get it going.

  • Taille/Qualité photo sur lightroom mobile

  • Video Export Issues in Lightroom 4.1

Hi, I’m trying to export a H264 (.MOV) in its original format but with applied trimming. The file is exported as an exact copy of the original file with no trimming applied. I can export the trimmed version by selecting H264 and choosing max quality but suspect that this reduces the quality of the original file. The reason I suspect quality loss in the H264 exporting option is that if I export a full (unedited) clip, then the file size is substantially reduced from the original file size.
Can anyone suggest a good workflow that maintains the original file capture quality and enables trimming?
    Many thanks

It Looks as if I’ve found the answer to the export option of ‘Original’.
To quote from Adobe Lightroom help “ the original option exports a copy of the file without any adjustments made in Lightroom”.
However, I’m still not sure if the H264 export option causes any file quality deterioration. Any guidance would be appreciated.

  • Zen 4gb video qual

I can't beli've how bad the video quality is even the zen v plus shows better. I have high quality videos in the zen4gb & it still shows bad. When buying this player I had high hopes because of its 6.7 million colors on the user interface so I firgured since Creative made that so good the video quality would be good but apperntly the interface is just a cover up of the bad video quality. I just wished there was a way of fixing this.

I neither find it bad.. in fact, my Zen outputs video better than I expected. Except for the blacks not being truly blacks, I find it comparable to iPods that can playback videos.

  • Can't Play Video Files in Lightroom 4

I can import video files (.mov) into Lightroom 4 but I can't play them. I can play them in Photoshop CS6 Beta. The Control Bar with the "Play" icon doesn't show  and the space bar does nothing.

I've tried to restore all the settings, but it didn't work. Does anybody have any other solutions for this problem?

  • Lightroom workflow to correct color of my videos. Anybody knows?

Hi, Iam a photographer and I am studying video production. I love the Lightroom color correction because some distortions can be fixed easily with that HSL (Hue, Saturation and Lighting) controls and that Magenta x green and blue x yellow sliders. And another great functions inside Lightroom. Ive tried to create a workflow exporting jpeg from my footage, importing to the lightroom, treating the images and then importing the jpegs sequence to premier, but Its not a good solution. Anybody knows if there is a good solution or some plugin to premiere where I can find the lightroom color controls to video color correction? I love the Lightroom workflow to treat my photos and I would love if I can treat my videos without limitations under Lightroom. Thanks

in Photoshop you can save an adjustment layer as a Color Lookup Table (something like that) then import that  as through Lumetri in Premiere. So, I do not know about Lightroom, but why wouldn't it have similar. Only thing with Photoshop was that of the 4 formats of the color lookup, one turned the image checkerboard and a second might have issues as well. I didn't experiment fully with it, just enough to know that it is there and a cool tool.

  • Lightroom: Capture time for videos imported from iphoto is not showing in metadata

Hi, I imported all my photos and videos from iphoto to Lightroom recently using the iphoto import plugin.  I think all my photos were imported but I noticed that all my videos have no capture time, so they became grouped together in my collections.  But I think I can still see their capture time in the "grey text" in each photo.  Why did this happen and how do I resolve this issue?  I really want my capture times to be in the video metadata and also want to see my videos in the right chronological order with my videos.   Strangely, videos imported into Lightroom directly from my camera SD card do not have this issue, only the ones imported from iphoto do.  Thanks!

LR does not properly handle video metadata in general, and in particular it often botches capture time.  Sometimes this works:  Select one video, do Metadata > Edit Capture Time, and then click Change All (without actually changing Corrected Time).  If that sets the capture time to the correct time, then you can select all the problem videos, do Metadata > Edit Capture Time, and click Change All.   If you have a small number of videos, you can manually correct the capture time using Edit Capture Time.
Please see this thread in the official Adobe feedback forum for more details, vote on it, and add your opinion: Lightroom: Metadata applied to videos in Lightroom isn't available in other applications

  • Video in lightroom

I just used the lightroom4.The basis for the adjustment of really great video。so ,I think, lightroom why not work with it and premiere,This is the future.
I like to deal with pictures in lightroom,
I hope the video can be, because I like lightroom color and brightness processing.
    sorry,i am a chinese.thinkyou.

I can’t see any export options like h.264, mpeg, you tube or vimeo upload?
Viewing on mobile devices has not even been given a thought!
Google maps and Blurb books are available on the web.
These are lazy product enhancements and most of us can live without PV12 and the dodgy new sliders.
Hopefully Adobe will backtrack before CS6 and ACR7 as most users will see the new raw engine as an imposition.

  • Lightroom 5 Video Editing Question

I would like to use one software program that can do a single project that combines pics and video.  I know Lightroom 5 will handle my photo editing needs, but can it splice my video, add an audio track to my combined video/pic project, and even add some text over the project? If not, what should I use with Lightroom 5--Premiere Elements?  Or does Photoshop Elements work more seamlessly with Premiere Elements? I don't need a lot of video editing capability--really just splicing, adding audio, and adding text on top of the video.
Thanks in advance for any answers!

You will find Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements much more flexible. LR5 can mix video & stills but the slideshow module is limited when it comes to adding text and it’s only possible to edit video using the quick develop buttons in the library module, not the full range of tools in the develop module. Only a single audio file is permitted.
On Windows you can start in PSE, adding text, transitions and pan and zoom to stills (if required) and then output seamlessly to PRE. PRE gives many more output options including presets for YouTube, Vimeo and many others and with the ability to burn a DVD for viewing on a TV. You can also balance the audio between the original captured sound, multiple music tracks and narration.
There are some good holiday offers until early January. For example you can get the PSE12+PRE12 combo at Amazon for under $100.

  • Controlling Selective Color Changes in Lightroom | The Complete Picture with Julieanne Kost | Adobe TV

In this episode of The Complete Picture, Julieanne demonstrates how to use Hue, Saturation, Luminance and the Adjustment Brush to selectively control color in Lighrroom Note: although this video was recorded in Lightroom, the same techniques are available in Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop CS6.

Julianne, I have photoshop CS5. It will not open my camera raw pictures from my new Nikon D5200 (2013) raw pictures. I? I love that you di am being told to upgrade to CS6. Do I have to? Scott Kelby suggest converting the files to DNG, but will that give full use of CS5 tools. And then I have to convert each picture at a time. Also should I get Lightroom? Isn't it enough to have CS5 which cost me tons of money.
