Video quality poor including titles

I purchased this product to try something different.
I normally use another video editor.
I love everything about the program except when it burns to DVD.
When I burn it, the quality is horrible.
And I've read the other forums regarding the size/resolution of the photo's.
The quality is even poor on the titles pieces that the program itself uses.
Any suggestions?

It would be helpful if the title said it wasn't for technical issues.

  • After IOS7 video quality poor on iphone4s

    Hi,
anyone else noticed the video quality blurry on iphone 4s after ios7? snapped a few seconds of video out with the dog yesterday, uploaded it and its dreadfull!
never had any issues before, camera seems okay, but video quality is lousy!
any ideas? anyone else having the same?
aside from that ios 7 seems okay.
    thanks

I have experienced the same problem recently, without having made any changes whatsoever to my Handbrake settings. Very strange - streaming quality went from excellent to horrible. The only possible factor, as referred to elsewhere, may be that I upgraded to 9.4v of HB. Yet, even then I did not fiddle with any settings, did not use ATV Legacy (note as problematic elsewhere), did not enable CABAC (also problematic). Verified post-conversion settings of many of my movies in iTunes and there is no difference. Network is as strong as ever. Did, however, recently upgrade ATV software - could this be a related issue?

  • Video Quality Poor???

the quality is poor when a third person joins the Chat.....we are all on hi - speed broadband and even tried to lower the bandwith......no luck in improving the quality.

    Hi
First try setting the Quicktime settings, goto sys prefs/quicktime/streaming/streaming speed set what you get from your ISP go no higher then 1.5mbps(dont use automatic)
In ichats prefs click on video and change bandwidth limit to NONE.
    Restart iChat.

  • Video quality poor after saving

I'm using Soundbooth CS4 on a Mac and when saving a video/audio file the video is really poor quality, blurry etc. I'm exporting using the compression guidelines for vimeo (http://vimeo.com/help/compression), as that is where I'm planning on uploading to. I've tried saving as an .mp4 and .mov and had the same problem with both. Has anyone had the same problems?

    AT&T delivers U-verse service over a fiber-to-the-node
It is important to note this is not a cable modem as you stated. Cable modems work of Docsis technology. You have Fiber which I would take over Docsis any day. You should have very good internet. Yes 6MB Down is just fine for streaming Netflix. You can stream good quality at less if it was the case.
The problem could be local. You mentioned the laptop is fine but the apple tv gets worse. Are both on WiFi? If yes then check the signal strength of the Apple TV vs. the PC when you see this happening. It could be possible but not likely that you are getting wifi interference. Possibly from a phone or house hold appliance. This also could depend on your country and the default channels. Try connecting the Apple TV via ethernet if you can and see then if the same thing happens.
    Good Luck

  • Video quality poor under iTunes 10

I have a MacBook Pro running 10.5.8 and I downloaded and installed iTunes 10 just yesterday (Sept 1). Now videos that I purchased as recently as a couple of days ago have vertical distortion lines. I've seen that kind of distortion before, though never on a Mac and it's usually due to some sort of resolution mismatch, but that would be hardware whereas I'm pretty confident that this issue is related to iTunes 10.
Any ideas? Does anyone know if 10.1 is just around the corner?
    Thanks,
    Rob

I'm having the exact same problem. Watched a movie last night on iTunes 9, and it was just fine. Upgraded this morning, and watched an HD podcast I down loaded after the upgrade. It was horrid. Heavy pixelation and I had the same experience that pixelation only went away on mouse-over. I was curious and opened the movie I watched last night, the quality has dramatically decreased. Same with all previously purchased SD and HD content. I'll make no more purchases until this is fixed. Great job when one of the new features being hyped is HD TV rental.

  • Video quality poor after placing into timeline, don't know why?

I've done some screen capture with Camtasia on a Windows machine. When I import it into FCP X the quality is fine when viewing prior to placing into the timeline. After I put it in the timeline I find that while editing that the video playback is now blurry, as is the exported media. I'm not sure what's causing this, can someone help?
    Thanks in advance.
    B

I set the Playback to High Quality and that didn't help. Thanks for the tip! I'll continue to dig into this problem. What's odd is that my first few projects with learning how to use FCP I used GoPro output and I never saw this issue, but that is HD output.
    Thanks,

  • How do I fix poor video quality when exporting from Keynote to iMovie

I went through Keynote to create a movie from a PowerPoint (including a soundtrack) but the video quality is very poor in the final product.  Is there a way to fix this?

file > export > Quicktime > custom > then select one of the codecs: MPEG-4,  standard DV,  HDV,  AVCHD,  Apple Intermediate Codec and use full size in the options.

  • Very poor video quality after transcoding in Adobe Encore CS5.1

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I have very poor video quality after transcoding the video file (MPEG) in  Adobe Encore CS5.1. Below you see my used settings in my filmproject.
The problem exists after transcoding in Adobe Encore CS5.1. I checked all steps and found out that there is no problem until transcoding. My exported file  in MPEG has very good video and audio quality.
    Facts:
    1. Camcorder: Panasonic AG-AC160AEJ
Operating System : Windows 7, 64 Bit, Ultimate edition
    Source files: MTS files
    Recording settings (clip settings):
    Type: MPEG Movie
    Image Size: 1920 x 1080
    Frame Rate: 25,00
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - compressed - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1,0
    2. Sequence settings in Premiere Pro
Sequence was created from Clip directly with settings above.
    3. Exporting settings in Adobe Premiere Pro:
Match sequence settings was activated. Now other changes were set.
    4. Exported File:
    Video
    Image Size: 1920 x 1080
    Data Transfer Rate: 25920 kBit / s
    Frame rate: 25
    Audio:
    Bit rate: 384 kBit / s
    Channels: 2 (stereo)
    Frequence: 48 kHz
    5. Transcoding settings in Adobe Encore:
I used different transcoding settings such as automatic DVD Transcoding, CBR and VBR.I also set “use maximum render quality”. But all results were always the same: very poor quality.
Why does the encore transcoding cause such bad video quality?
How can I solve this problem?
    Please help me soon.
    Best regards.

    Hi Ann,
    1) I did not only „Automatic (based on source)“ options in my tests, but also many other customized options.
The results are very poor. I have done a new test with the following settings. The result is also poor:
    Download link: http://www.klavierlehrer-bayern.de/download/test_mpeg2dvd_1.m2v
    Export Settings:
    Format: MPEG2-DVD
    Preset: Custom
Codec: MainConcept MPEG Video, Quality: 5
    Frame Rate: 25 fps
    Field Order: Upper
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Automatic (based on source)
    Render at Maximum Rate: [active]
    Bitrate Encoding: VBR, 2 pass
    Minimum Bitrate (Mbps): 5
    Target Bitrate (Mbps): 9
    Maximum Bitrate (Mbps): 9
    GOP Settings
    M Frames: 4
    N Frames: 12
    Use Maximum Render Quality: [active]
    Multiplexer: None
    2) Why shouldn’t I use the “Match Sequence Settings” in exporting? Because of the big output file size?
I used it and the results are very good as I expected:
    Download link: http://www.klavierlehrer-bayern.de/download/test_MatchSequenceSettings.mpeg
    Export Settings
    Match Sequence Settings [selected]
    1920 x 1080, 25 fps, Upper, Quality 50
    User Maximum Render Quality: [active]
    3) I tried also Dynamic Link in PremierePro (to Encore).
    The results are also poor.
    4) I will test also LagarithLoslessCodec and frameserving +DGMPGDec. But the video is vertical long drawn-ot.
I think I did not use it correctly.
    Regards

  • IMovie - Poor Video Quality when exporting to "Projects"

Hi - I'm using iMovie 11' and once I move my video (HD) from "Events" to "Projects" my video quality becomes very poor and the video is cropped. I have changed my setting to have it "fit frame" but the problem still exists. Thoughts?

    @Harm,
"Pear-shaped" (or sometimes "fruit-shaped") is a euphemism meaning that the effort has gone awry; it was a mess.
    @John,
Export to DVD is a PPro 2.0 function; in CS3 it is now Export to Encore. Is that what you meant?
First thing is to check the field orders of your source material and of your export settings. Don't invert them, and don't deinterlace interlaced footage.
Perhaps a short list of the settings you have tried (and why you chose those settings) would help us help you.

  • HF R52-POOR VIDEO QUALITY IN LOW LIGHT

HELLO,I'VE BEEN USING THE HF R52 FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW AND FOR THE MOST PART AM VERY HAPPY WITH IT..THE ONE ISSUE I'M HAVING IS WITH THE POOR VIDEO QUALITY IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS[NIGHT TIME OR INDOORS].THE RESULTS ARE "GRAINY" OR "FUZZY"..I'VE TRIED DIFFERENT SETTINGS WITH NO LUCK..WHEN I USE THE "LOW LIGHT"SETTING IT ACTUALLY SLOWS DOWN THE MOVIE LIKE ITS IN SLOW MOTION??  OUTSIDE IN THE SUNLIGHT IT LOOKS GREAT! DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?? THANKS,ROB

The videos on WCSN are Windows Media Video's...320x240...not very good in quaintly to start with. If you make these video larger on the screen they are going to degrade...sorry

  • Poor Audio and Video Quality

Using IDVD to burn iMovie containing pictures and music and am getting very poor quality audio and video. The video is very low resolution, lacking clarity and definition, and the audio comes out really flat with over-saturated vocals that is unpleasant to listen to.
The content was made from iMovie 11, importing photos from iPhoto and iTunes music.
    I exported the movie via Share->Export Movie-> HD 1080P
In iDVD 7.1.2 I imported the movie (actually several) into a slideshow menu item.
I used the iDVD encoding preferences set at 'Best Performance' and 'Professional Quality' with no difference between the two
Then to ensure it wasn't the DVD disk causing the problem, I used the 'Save as Disc Image', and validated the file image saved to disk had the same quality issues as the burned DVD.
Then to eliminate the iMovie as the problem, ran a test and used an iPhoto slideshow in place of the iMovie, and it also has the same low quality issues.
I have observed that using the iDVD viewing capabilities, the A/V quality is fine. Its after the burn to disk the problem occurs.
At this point I'm not sure what to try. I'm viewing the DVD on my 50" widescreen TV using Sony DVD player.
A year or so back I did similar steps and the DVD came out fine... the sound quality was excellent and the video quality while not outstanding, was reasonable.
Any ideas -- I'm really stumped.

    Hi
In iMovie'11 - I do (not use Share to iDVD)
    • Share to Media Browser - AND AS Large - NOT HD ! (result will not be better but rather WORSE)
    • In iDVD I import from Media button and Movie tab.

  • Poor DVD Video Quality - Transcoding pain

    Hello,
I am working on a video project with the NTSC DVD as the deliverable.  The project is realtively simple.  It contains one mpeg2 video file, an adio track and a few menues.  It is all ok except for the horrible DVD quality I am getting from Encore SC4.  The original mpeg2 video quality is very good.  This mpeg2 video file was generated using the Proshow Producer program with NTSC DVD setting as output.  Here is what mediainfo has to say about this file:
    General

My first problem is why Encore insists on transcoding the video.  I do not see any reason why not to use the video as is.  The "Do not transcode" option is not available.  Perhaps I have some settings in the project that may be incompatible with the DVD video but I realy do not know what they could be.  Please help if you think you know what it could be.
With automatic transcoding the resulting video quality is plain horrible.  I keep blinking my eyes because everything is so badly out of focus.  I keep trying to specify the transcoding quality to as high as Encore allows me but the resulting video stays at very poor quality.  I am not very expierence with the transcoding function of Encore but what I am getting "out of the box" is garbage so I hope you, more expierenced gentlemen, could help me squeese more from this S/W.
    Thanks you in advance,
    Peter

In Proshow Producer there are two ways (two different menue options) to generated an mpeg2 DVD quality file.  One of them gave me a file described by mediainfo in my original email - encore insisted on transcoding it.
The other way of generaring a DVD  mpeg2 file renders a file as below:

The problem is that Proshow Producer crashes (runs out of memory) while generating this file - this is why it is only  30 seconds long.  Now this file does not require transcoding in Encore CS4 and, if it did not crash, would be of acceptable quality.
I do not know what the M/N settings describe but the M/N settings are different in the second file.  Some other settings are different as well, e.g., Bit/(Pixel*Frame).
From what I know and from what Photodex support person told me they do not have a way to generate an .m2v file.  I can generate an mpeg2 with no audio from Producer but the video encoding would be as it is now I would think so I am not sure what difference (if any) this would make.
    Thanks,
    Peter

  • Update to 10.10.2 poor video quality

After I updated to Yosemite 10.10.2 video quality became very poor, especially when using the DVD Player App. This is on an 2012 quad core I7 server model connected to a Panasonic TV via HDMI. When I reboot using 10.10.1 which is on another partition of Drive 2, unupdated, the video is perfect. I tried to use calibration in system setting/display/color with very little success. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

  • Flash Poor Video Quality in All Browsers But IE

    Hello
I'm using Firefox 34.0.5 on Windows 8.1 and flash player of version 16.0.0.235.
I noticed a very poor quality on the flash videos in this browser. I watched the same video on Internet Explorer, and the quality was excellent. Here is a link: http://www.adultswim.com/videos/blue-exorcist/a-flock-of-plovers/
It is worth noting, the same video had poor quality both in Chrome in Maxthon. I could sure watch it in IE, but for some reason it stops after 5 minutes there (while the video itself is 20 minutes long).
    Please help guys.

    Hi all,
It's good to know it's getting out there but I'm still flummoxed.  I tried reloading Firefox the newest download.  I also reloaded Adobe Flash 10 and at my computer I still get...
I've tried refresh on the view screen which has fooled me in the past.  Otherwise don't know...
