Video refuses to authorize

All of my itunes music is working but all of my videos purchases tell me that they aren't authorized to be played and to open itunes and authorize with my applei id and password. Then when I click the itunes icon it says that it can't connect to check or get authorization. What is happening? I went through all of the help ques for authorization already and its still not playing video, its just bring up a grey screen. Please help!!!

Video Refuses To Convert

Hi,
I downloaded a video from vimeo (my own that I accidently erased on iMovie) and uploaded to iTunes so I could put it on my iPhone but no matter what I do it will not convert properly. It plays perfectly well on iTunes but when I select it, click Advanced > Create iPod or iPhone version, it makes a copy specifically for uploading to my phone... although, the version it just created has no picture and furthermore no video when I upload to my phone. There's sound but no picture.

MP4 videos refuse to play.

I have updated my plugins and extensions multiple times to no avail. I have accelerate hardware unchecked. I just cannot get MP4 videos to play, regardless the site.

Is a Flash player used on the HTML5 media player if you check that via the right-click context menu?
You can check the media prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page to see if the HTML5 media player is enabled.

Videos refuse to go on ipod

Ok, so after i finally got everything working to put videos on my new 30g video ipod, it tells me that i can't put a video on my ipod. What?! Why does it not recognize it as an "ipod video" and how do i get it to? I've tried to manually and automatically put videos on but the same thing happens. Basically its saying that i can't play videos on my ipod video and it is very frusterating and i could really use any advise.

The iPod video has some very specific requirements of the videos it will play. If iTunes tells you that it won't download a video to the iPod, the video is in the wrong format. You can use a variety of converters, which are discussed in other threads on this forum.

Youtube videos refuse to play.

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8130 and I have tried to play countless youtube videos on it, it always says loading then about a minute later it says video error, is there any way to fix this because it's one of the whole reasons i picked a "smartphone"

um, all i can think is that you dont have enough virtual memory. its a well known problem of this phone having such small memory becuase i can play youtube videos on mine, actually they play through the video player in the media section when i click on them, but i have a 2 Gig memory stick in my 8130. also if you do have a memory card but it still doesnt seem to work then in the options try putting the media support on. if the problem still occurs then i dont know what the problem could be. also a memory card may not be needed but that seems to be the only differnce between my blackberry and yours, oh actually try turning on some settings in the internet options screen. go to browser, hit menu key, go to brower options. i have most of the settings on so i dont have to worry about not being able to read certain sites. but the draw back is sites load a tiny bit slower but not enough that you have to wait more than about 45 sec

Video refuses to import at all.

Hello everyone.
I have a strange issue with itunes on my dual G5.
I cannot import video art all, whether it's converted or not using various settings...however, using the same encoded files on my G4 powerbook they will import into itunes.
I have used streamclip to convert and eyeTV's export to ipod option...and quicktime. None of the files i have converted import. It won't import non comverted files either. All play in quicktime.
I have tried dragging and dropping, importing and adding to library....No luck however i try.
Both are Version 7.
All suggestions most welcome.

I tried, and when I re-installed iTunes 6 and tried to open it I got an error message saying it wouldn't open because my library had been created witih a newer version of iTunes. I must have missed something.

Sharing videos asks to authorize computer but doesnt work

i am trying to share movies that i have created using imovie 08, and it asks me to authorize this computer to play the song, but when i do authorize the computer on itunes, it asks again, then publishes my project without the itunes music.

Don't use purchased music if you want to share the QuickTime file. You don't have the right to share protected music.

I can no longer get my videos to work on my ipod, any advice?

I will get right to the point. I was having numerous crashes and problems the moment I upgraded to itunes 7. So I had no choice but to downgrade back to itunes 6. Well ever since I have done that, my ipod seems to be working better (no crashing, no more warped music) but now none of my videos in my itunes go to my ipod. After numerous updating when I plug my ipod in, the videos refuse to go to my ipod. All of the videos are checked (sync) but nothing works. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

Can't play my videos! Help!

In iTunes, I try to play any of my video files, all of which were purchased from iTunes on this account, and most of which were downloaded onto this computer. (I had transferred some files from my desktop to my laptop, but they've all played successfully in the past.) When I try to play the video file, the authorization window pops up telling me this computer is not authorized, and asking for my account info to authorize. I do this, and it reports a successful authorization after contacting the iTunes store. Then the window freezes in place and I cannot click the 'OK' button to dismiss the dialog. In the background, behind iTunes, the Player window opens up with a dialog informing me that the computer is not authorized to play the file and asks for my account info again. I provide this, and it says it is attempting to contact iTunes. It fails to contact iTunes, tells me to install iTunes to play the file, and leaves me with a gray player window with no sound playing, and the progress bar progressing as though it were playing. I switch back to iTunes, and can now press the 'OK' button on the 'Authorization Successful' dialog box. If I try again, the same problem repeats.
· I haven't changed accounts.
· I have verified that the account info I use to verify purchases matches the info included in the ‘get info’ dialog on the files.
· I purchased and downloaded all of these videos on this account and most of them on this computer.
· I have verified that my account settings in the iTunes Store lists all the videos I’m trying to play.
· I am using an admin account on my computer, and I’ve tried running the application as admin.
· I’ve tried running iTunes in compatibility mode with XP.
· I’ve deleted the library files and recreated them.
· I deleted the ‘SC’ folder and rebooted the computer and tried again.
· I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and QuickTime, using a fresh download from the Apple.com website.
· I spent hours on the phone with the apple care tech support.
· I submitted an email to the iTunes store support, which referred me to an article that showed me some of these steps that didn’t work.
Nothing helps. I suspect there's an issue with the QuickTime player window that is called from iTunes because after iTunes reports a successful authorization, the QuickTime player reports a failure to authorize, asks for my authorization username and password, and tries to contact iTunes, which it fails to do every time, even though iTunes is running at the same time.

I am not at all savvy when it comes my iPod. But, I have been able to get much help here. Now please be patient with me on this one. I want to have music videos on my iPod. When I go into iTunes, I have three which I can play i Tunes, but have not idea how to get them into the iPod. What do I do??

Quartz Composer maximum file size for videos?

I'm using the Movie Importer patch and large videos refuse to play. I had no trouble with a 16-minute, 249.6 MB file, but a 7-hour, 534.6 MB file doesn't work. The patch acts like I don't have a file selected at all: it doesn't output an image or a duration value like it's supposed to. I have tried a variety of formats (.mp4, .m4v, .avi) and a variety of frame rates and resolutions. All of my test videos played fine in Quicktime Player (I use Perian, which may explain .avi compatibility... I don't think that's supported natively).
I can't find anything in the docs about file size or duration limits. What am I missing?

That is a pretty small file for being 7 hours long.
Have you tried using interpolation and converting the hours, seconds and frames into all seconds or does that defeat the object of the composition? I have a bunch of movies taken with the same camera and some do not provide a timecode. Has been an issue for me for a while. In X.6.+ even apple created comps cause the finder and QC to crash. First few moments of the video render as just a black screen - Premiere Elements 9

I'm putting together a short, 8-second demo clip of a particular moment of my project in Premiere Elements 9. The section involves two clips which were taken seperately, but are cut in half with the crop function so that they both play on the screen at once. There are also some position and brightness adjustments of one of the clips to ensure they match up.
However, I have begun seeing strange behaviour when I attempt to render the clip and as so far I have not been able to get a usable copy. When rendered as a .wmv, one of the two clips is inexplicably cropped from the bottom up to about a quarter of the height of the scene, despite not being so in the editor. Furthermore, when rendered as an MPEG, the format I would prefer the file to be in, although I do not get the first problem I get an issue where the first 20-23 frames of the video refuse to play in an external video player. I tried both windows media player and VLC. Instead, the section of the video appears as either a black screen, a black screen with a white line on it, or, if the video timeline is scrolled back to the start, the last frame viewed. The music clip which accompanies the video however still plays during this section, and the error is not seen at all in the editor. Oddly, if one of the rendered files is imported back into Premiere Elements 9, and played within the error, the 20-or-so frames will indeed play. It seems it is only the Premiere Elements editor that can play these frames.
I'm utterly at a loss here. I don't mind too much not being able to export as .wmv, as it is not my first choice, but if anyone could help me with the MPEG rendering I would be very grateful.
The source files are AVCHD (.mts) files, at a resolution of 1440x1080. There is only one "clip change" at the point where the video becomes viewable again, but this is merely where I have split the same clip to perform a brightness change, as I have many times in the video elsewhere.

Here's a screencap of my interface, although I blurred out the video preview section (it doesn't contain anything relevant anyway).
I would like to avoid posting a copy of the video if I can help it - I doubt my actors would be too pleased with me posting them around the internet.
As for the project settings, when I first imported the clips Elements informed me that my project preset was incorrect for the clips and automatically picked one to fit them, so I'm sure that that's all set up fine. All the footage is from the same camcorder, except for a splash screen image, of the correct resolution, which flashes up at the end.
I have used assets of the same format previously and with no isses.

Youtube videos are not playing back

Youtube videos are not playing back in Safari 5.1.7. I've also checked this in Firefox 16.0.2.
I am running OS 10.6.8.
Why is this happening? I need this capabilitiy for my work efforts.

I'm having similar problems to you all. Chrome and Firefox will play YT videos back perfectly. But for some reason certain users' entire channels that were working fine in Safari on Thhursday 1st Nov 2012 had stopped working by the next day! After upgrading Flash and resetting the cache etc it was a bit better but still some not working. I then downloaded the 6.0.2 update (again after a bit of aggro as some error message kept popping up, then after a while it worked ok). Now still some videos refuse to play in Safari. Latest FF browser seems OK and not too slow. I have always liked Safari though and am a bit annoyed that I've had to to make FF my default as it's a bit ugly. It may be a YT problem rather than Apple. Once upon a time in the hazy crazy days of Tiger and Leopard I had no Apple problems. Now lots of very minor but basic issues keep popping up!

WS-6509 refusing SSH connections via TACACS+ 5.5

Hello everyone, we have our Core 6509's using AAA with TACACS+ version 5.5 appliance.
We have 4 appliances 2 each in 2 locations.
We have an issue where 6509's refuse to authorize/authenticate valid users for ssh connections.
When you ssh to the device you can enter your password but ssh tectia just closes or you see the login banner and "Authorization denied" and ssh closes.
The switches have there tacacs-server settings pointing to all four TACACS+ devices.
Occasionally one or both will attempt to use one of the 2 non local TACACS+ servers to authenticate/athorize connections.
You can login from the console if you interrupt it's connection to TACACS by disconnecting the fiber connections momentarily.
Has anyone seen something like this before?
This happens once or twice a year.

That's the funny part, TACACS shows green stating that I'm passing all the checks.
When I select the magnifying glass I see "passed" in green at the top.
when I check "Evaluating Identity Policy" it says.

The advanced option that is configured for a failed authentication request is used.
The 'Continue' advanced option is configured in case of a failed authentication request.
But I'm able to access all other switches so my AD username/password are correct.
At first I was unable to access it's pair. After we did a hard reset on one of the ACS's that was resolved.
But I still can't get into the other pair.

Playing videos in safari

Could someone please help me as i am new to macs and do not understand why i am unable to view videos in safari. I have downloaded flip 4 mac and real player but on certain websites (cbs.com) the videos refuse to play. at first a message popped up stating that MIME plug-in 'audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin' was missing. then i downloadded real player and the mesage is no longer being displayed but a tiny blue box with a question mark in the middle pops up where the video is supposed to be played. i honestly don't know what to do next. Any help is appreciated...thanx!

Oh, yeah, I tried to use innertube once, too. The video just doesn't load.
I poked around the page, and found a link, "Player Settings" in the upper right just above the viewing screen. There is a choice to use Windows Media Player or Real Player. I have WMP 9 installed, but the sniffer can't find it, I guess. The settings dialog says WMP is not installed.
I went here to download it again.

This is the Mac OS X version; MS will not be supporting nor upgrading this program for Mac from now on. That might be my problem.
I haven't used Real Player because, for some reason, it doesn't work on my computer. I have Flip4Mac so I can play Windows Media in QuickTime. There's a link for that here:

You might have to select Windows Media Player for Mac OS X in the pull-down menu; it will redirect the page.
I'm going to investigate the RealPlayer track a little more. Let me know if the WMP direction works better for you.

ITMS Video Previews not working

I have updated both my Macintosh computers to QT7.03 and iTunes 6. On my Mac Mini everything works great. On my PM G4 Quicksilver however, the iTunes Music Store doesn't quite work as expected.
For some reason I can not preview videos available for purchase. When I click the "Preview" button the image in the top left of the screen turns solid black and all I get is the audio of the video for 30 seconds. For some reason the video refuses to preview. That being said, if I import standalone video into iTunes it plays fine and if I go to the Trailers section of the iTMS they also play fine. It's just the previews of videos available for sale. On the Mac Mini these previews work fine so at least I know what is supposed to happen.
Can anyone recommend any solutions? I have tried reinstalling iTunes 6 and have repaired permissions to no avail.
