Video repeats irregularly

I am using Premiere Pro cs6 and my system specs are:
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.8Ghz
Corsair H70 liquid CPU Cooler
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ Motherboard
16GB (4x4GB) Kingston HyperX 1600 MHz RAM ddr3
Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1GB
Samsung 840 120GB SSD
Western Digital 1TB Caviar black 7200 rpm 64MB cache HDD
When i put a clip into the timeline and do nothing to it, it starts to do this stutter replay thing irregularly, but not on every clip. this stutter appears when rendered. It does not have to do with the recording as when i play the recording through VLC it plays smoothly with no problems. I have uploaded a render to show the problem. as you can see the video bumps back a few seconds and plays itself again. I have simply placed the clip in the timeline and pressed render.

any ideas on to what the issue could be caused by?

So as announced i put every video on 2 Sheets, the first a few minutes, the second one only a view frames long.
By testing the actions on "leaving the sheet"several times they seam to work well now. What keeps unclear is, if the navigation works because the part of the video is only a few frames long or if the second parts of the videos in the second sheets still repeat from time to time.
So emergency solution is found, but ideas about fixing this without splitting videos are still welcome.

I have two questions:Could anybody please help me in answering these.
1. Is it possible to play a video without audio? I used receiveAudio( false ) with NetStream object. But audio is still there.
2. How can I play a video play repeatedly? I want to play video repeatedly and stop it only when a Stop event is fired.

Most videos do not play in FF; work fine in Chrome. Maybe started when I was having a FB video repeat and clicked on something to make it stop.

Some time back I clicked on a video on FaceBook. It kept repeating. I got tired of it and clicked on something on FB that stopped it. Since then Firefox does not play vids. For example http://senateconservatives.com/site/post/1160/video-new-scf-ad-promoting-ted-cruz?c=9R4F0C9CF7F3BB0 brings up a page but no video. That link works fine in Chrome.

DustinMedlam, I have the same exact problem. I started using my Iphone 4S for shooting video about 2 months ago and tranferred them to my Windows machine with Windows 7. I use the clips in Sony Vegas pro 11 and make short movies. I upgraded to ios 6 last week and every video that I shoot with my iphone 4S now is not usable in Quictime or Sony Vegas???? My old videos from before ios 6 play just fine and I can use them in Sony Vegas with no problems. The only way to play the files is with Windows media player. this does me no good as I just began making short films and now I can not use any of the video I have shot since ios 6. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I shoot video with it and use the clips in Sony Vegas with no issues!?? I can not believe this is not BLOWING up on the internet like the WIFI issue is..... What do we do? All my video gear is for my Iphone not my galaxy S2. This is very annoying. I also notice that no one from Apple response to these support forums. So why are they available?? What a JOKE!

60 Fps video repeating Frames?

I have a clip in After Effects CS5, its 59.94 Fps, in a 59.94 fps Comp. the video playes back very strange, every 2 frames or so, it repeates a previous frame.
Here is an example, it goes, 1-2-1-2-3-2-3-4-3 ect...
Can anyone help me solve this problem? Thank you!

Where did this footage come form? What camera? It sounds like the footage is actually 24P footage that's being interpreted as 60i. Try interpreting the footage as 29.97 separate fields (lower first if it's DV upper first if it's HD) and remove pulldown. AE should be able to guess the proper cadence.
If the footage is edited and contains more than one shot it is very likely that you will have to cut it into separate clips and figure the cadence of each shot differently.

RTMP video repeating (playing twice) while Captivate Slide paused. Anyone else seen this ?

I have a project that is published as SCORM 1.2 with a bunch of RTMP videos served from CloudFront. I tend to set the Slide duration to 5 secs and the Buffer value to 3Secs and choose Auto-Play, Auto-Rewind Display for Rest of Slde, and select "Pause slide till end of video". These settings typically have worked fine but recently some of the videos are repeating (playing twice) while Captivate Slide paused. I've tried all sorts of combinations but it seems intermittent. I thought of not pausing the Slide and setting the slide duration to the video duration plus a little extra but am a little worried that if there is buffering that the Captivate presentation will go ahead before the video finishes. Could anyone shed any light ?

publish from captivate...is there a way to force them to embed (if
thats better)? it seems like it kind of randomly decides which it
wants to do.
also, i do have the source files and i'll try that blank

Captivate 8: Slide Videos Repeat when Publishing in HTML5

Conditions: Slide with MP4 h.264 video (no audio track) and separate audio track. Slide action on exit is to go to the next slide. Timeline is trimmed to .1 sec after end of video (Captivate doesn't allow it to be trimmed closer)
Issue: Slide video will play through with sound, then video will repeat with no sound before advancing to the next slide
I should note that while all of my slides are set up the same way, only certain slides have the issue. I have not been able to determine what (if any) difference there is or if it is an issue that impacts slides at random.
This problem has been described by other users with no seeming workaround. Any solutions are greatly appreciated!

Ipod video Repeat

Does anyone know if a video on an Ipod can be set to repeat, like with music? If not does it seem like a good idea? It would work great at trade shows to have video content repeat instead of having to reset it. Thanks.

Thanks for the response. I tried setting this up in iTunes (not on my pod yet) and ran into a problem, Maybe I'm not understanding your direstion correctly.
I went into iTunes, made a Playlist called "Video Loop", put a music video (for testing) in it, and set the playlist to repeat all. When I set that playlist to play, it does indeed repeat until I hit stop. Part one accomplished.
I then started the play list looping and went to my music library and selected a song to play. When that song was done, playback continued with the next song in the music library list, rather than going back to the interrupted video loop. (I did select all and configure the library to Repeat Off).
Did I miss something?

VIDEO REPEATS

I've downloaded a series of videos, all from the same lecture, same "program." When one segment is finished, that same segment starts again. How do I stop that from happening, and get the Touch to move on to the next video in the series?

Video repeat

I recently updated to 4.2.1 and ever since, when i watch a video, it will play twice before going back to the main video menu. someone suggested that i can change this setting to play only once in the video settings, but i only see the options of where to start playing, if closed captions is off or on, if the tv out is widescreen or not and if the tv signal is ntsc or pal. i really only need to watch the video once before going back to the main video menu, so if someone could help me, that would be great.

Streaming is easy. Anything you have in itunes (tunes, movies, tv shows, podcasts and audiobooks but not games) can be seen by the tv when the two are connected by a network, you simply choose what you want to play via your tv screen and it streams from your itunes library to your tv.. You can also stream photos in the same way from iphoto, Photoshop elements or just from plain old folders, but iphoto works best)
You can't play anything on your tv by inputting it from itunes on your mac, you also can't play video continuously (ie when one video finishes you need to choose another)
You need to sync photos though that you will be using for your screensaver and (I think) you also need to sync music that you use for your slideshows (although you can stream the photos)

Videos- repeated 1 second freezes

I am watching my 5th video and for the first time, it freezes for about a second about 10 times during the 2 1/2 hr movie. It is still totally watchable. Is this normal?

How do I repeat loop a video file from iPod Touch to Apple TV ?

I have an iPod Touch that is a few years old but running the latest software update. I want to loop a video to then play through Apple TV onto 2 panels at the front of our shop. I have saved the file as a video and Music Video (using Get Info etc) but neither version in the iPod touch will supply the repeat function - it works fine from my MacBook Pro but I cannot leave this in the shop overnight. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - evern if a third party app that actually works. Thanks in advance, Shaun.

Captivate 7 Repeating Video in HTML 5

I have a H264, 56 second video on the timeline with a one second buffer after the video. When viewing in HTML 5 the video randomly repeats. I have tried deleting it and re-adding it but nothing seems to stop the random repeats.

I had the same problem. My videos that were repeating were H.264 MP4 files. They had streaming enabled, which was indicated by "Hinted" video and audio tracks. I re-encoded the videos without streaming and my video repeating problem was solved.

Continuous Video Playback from iPod Touch to Apple tv

I am hoping someone can help me with this issue. I have searched for hours and am unable to locate a response that has worked for me.
I have an iPod Touch (without camera) which plays ALL videos on a playlist consecutivley without returning to the menu.
When I select airplay and have it play through Apple TV then it stops after each episode and requires me to get my iPod Touch (which is plugged into an outlet) and manually select the next episode.
I double checked all of my settings by connecting the iPod Touch to my computer and viewing them. It actually works fine when played on the iPod Touch alone. It's kind of a small viewing area though so I purchased an Apple TV2 (little black box) to use for this when airplay was announced.
I went into the Audio/Video settings on Apple tv Menu and selected Repeat Music: On and Show all Playlists: On
I just updated all software on all devices.
What am I missing?

Plugin-container and Flashplugin are both generating a million reads and writes an hour... even when Firefox is minimized and running no audio/video; how can I

I am running FF 18.0.2 on a Win7 system with an i7 CPU and 8GB RAM. My Flash plugin is newly-updated. I've used Firefox on this machine its entire life (3 years).
Since 3 or 4 (?) versions ago, I've been getting massive activity on my hard drive with Firefox. When I check with Win Task Manager, I see the plugin-container.exe *32 and the FlashPlayerPlugin_11_5_502_149.exe *32 processes are generating millions of I/O reads and writes, even while Firefox is idle (minimized, running no audio or video). On this latest version, 18.0.2, the drive activity stalls out YouTube videos repeatedly, even though I can see they're buffered ahead. The playing video will stop, audio will continue to end of buffer, and then EVERYTHING stops (Firefox not responding) for 30 seconds or so. It will then pickup again and play until it repeats the same pattern in a minute or so.
Example: I closed and restarted Firefox 2 days ago. Earlier today I checked Windows Task Manager and found the two processes EACH generated about 161 million reads and 141 million writes since then! My wife's laptop is showing nothing like a hundredth of that.
The constant drive activity is slowing down all programs outside of Firefox too, as you might imagine. The PC is acting like it's a dedicated machine for Flash.
