Video's with Green Line & Half images

I searched on fourms and see this pop up a lot. All have been fixed by unchecking hardware acceleration. Well I am the exception. I dont have it checked, and I have tried enabling and disabling it, and nothing. I have even tried re-installing flash player when after I have uninstalled it. Help please!

Hi, ok, well glad to hear that took care of it.
Now one thing I'd like to mention is that the Adobe Flash Player Team are wanting to document issues with the latest Flash Player version and issues such as you and others are having. If you would like to give them feedback directly, it would be appreciated as they are trying to duplicate these in house. The link to that is:

Thanks for replying back and for marking your thread as answered. If you do provide them information, they may post to your thread. You may have seen them on the Flash Player forum here. This is one thread that Chris Campbell has been on.

My 06' Macbook Pro crashed with vertical, green pixelated lines and now will not advance past the turn-on screen with the apple filled with green lines as well. Then, it says to hold down the power button to restart. I have tried several times to get it past this point but tnothing helped.
I have an appointment at the Apple store today, but was wondering : will all of the information and files on my desktop be lost? Or is this a logic board problem?
Any help is much MUCH appricated.

I'm not sure, if you're out of warrenty it'll cost quite a bit for the replacement of the logic board replacement...unless you have apple care. you could ask apple to try and recover your hard drive but i'm not sure.

  • I've been advised by Firefox to download a software update, but upon downloading, the bar with green lines running across it with the message 'Connecting to the update server' is just going on indefinitely; can you advise on this?

I was advised by Firefox to download and install an important software update. But the bar with green lines running across and saying 'connecting to the update server is going on indefinitely (about an hour now). Can you advise?
    With Thanks,

Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.<br />
You may need to delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well if present.
    XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\&lt;user&gt;\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
    (%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox)
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update not working properly)
If you have problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.<br />
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version.
    * Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Transcode settings gives me output with green lines

    Hi everybody
My problem is when I transcode a DV AVI file in encore CS3 what I get in the end is the video with a small green line in the bottom part of the screen, this only for the first few minutes!
I tried out different kind of settings but green lines turned out all the same.
I am working on a dvd 9, because I have a lot of extras that won't fit in a dvd 5.
    Can someone help me?
    Thanx a lot

Thought I was the only one with this issue- i guess not-I got almost same issue- a little different though,  the first time I imported an mpeg 2 DVD file (exported from Premiere Pro CS4) into Encore CS4 I got green FRAMES (about 2 or 3) at the beginning of the video upon creating an encore timeline and placing the mpeg 2 DVD clip in it.
What I did to try to fix this was- I had recently uninstalled Adobe Production Studio premium- so I can install the new updated suite without the old suite hanging things up- so I uninstalled CS4 and reinstalled the old suite- and after that I again installed CS4 suite- and that seeemed to work. On my next couple DVD exports in CS4 everything was fine, but on my last project I did notice a thin green line at the very bottom of my video in the Encore monitor window. This green line wasn't burned onto the DVD disc but it was troubling nonetheless- I will check it again more thoroughly now that I see this  post
please note that I checked the mpeg 2 files in windows media player before importing into Encore and there was no issues from the exported m2v file (I don't multiplex)- it did not have the green line or frames- only when played back within Encore CS4 monitor (and preview) window would this issue surface
I will post a bug report to Adobe- this should NEVER be an issue
prior to CS4 I exported and burned hundreds of DVD's with older versions of Premiere Pro and Encore and never once had this problem

  • Dynex 32" Flat screen with green lines and audio problem

I bought thisDynex 32" flat screen in September and it has started to develop problems. It will be on and green lines start forming and go away. Then the sound goes in and out. The green lines come back and the sound works sparsely. I am wondering what is the issue. I have tried unconnected everything; leaving the power off for hours. Somedays it works great or sometimes out of the blue it just craps out but lately I am getting more bad days than good ones. Any help or suggestions would be great. All I got from Dynex was that I had to bring the TV back to BestBuy and have a master technician look at it....

Sounds like it needs servicing.  If you bought it in September it should still be under the 1 yr manufacturer warranty.  You can bring it into the store with your receipt and have customer service send it to service for you.  It will be returned to the store and can be picked up when service is complete.  I will say, however, warranty service can be lengthy.  Expect to not have your TV for a few weeks.

I authored a DVD for a widescreen project edited using Final Cut Express. I have done this many time.
But this time the bottom of the video has a green line going all the way across.
Does anybody know what causes this issue and how to correct it?

Sounds like a pixel dimension issue. Read this:

  • Imac freezes with horizontal green lines

My Imac crashed the other day with green lines horizontally across the screen, the mouse would react and move around, but could not open any apps. We took it to get repaired at Core Mac and he said it worked fine. We brought it home today and it crashed again. I think it may be the graphics card? Can anyone help?
    Thanks
Not sure what model as I cannot check right now.

I suspect a hardware problem.  I'd recommend taking it to your local Apple Store or AASP. You can try to run Apple Hardware Test though in Extended Mode.

  • HDV sequence has green lines and pink dots after export

I digitized some HDV footage from a Sony HVR-VIU into Final cut Pro 7. Everything worked normally through the edit. After exporting the sequence as a quicktime movie, it played back fine as a quicktime. When I attempted to convert it to a media file in Sorenson Squeeze, the file showed up with green lines and pink dots over the picture. To test it differently, I dropped the file into IDVD. Same, result in playback. I've never seen anything like this before, any ideas?

Brad your article was extremely helpful in getting my sequence to work for a DVD. However, I've had success before using the same camera, format, etc., in making DVD's from an HDV sequence, and I'm curious as to what I did wrong this time. The most confusing part to me is that the original quicktime self-contained export played fine through quicktime, but got funky when placed into IDVD and Sorenson's Squeeze compressor. I must have done something wrong up front in digitizing or making settings in FCP, and I'd like to know what it was so I don't do it in the future. Thanks.

  • Intermittent problem with the line

I have an intermittent problem with my line which crackles or you miss parts of a conversation because voices spoken or listened to keep coming and going all the time or the phone cuts out altogether
Telephone the help line which said that the line was OK at that moment as they did the other time I called keeps on happening on a daily basis every time we get a call.
Next door neighbour and other neighbours around this close all linked to the same local bt or open reach cabinet all tell me they have the same problem.
Neighbours called their own phone company who rent the line off of BT who got an open reach engineer out the next day and found that the local exchange or cabinet next to the house across the road from me all the phone line coverings have corroded away and that the wires are all damaged and corroding away or rotting away.
So the local road (culdisack) has to be dug up and the exchange and wires have to be replaced from that junction box to the next junction box or exchange, what i want to know is when will this be done as all the neighbours and i have been reporting it to BT for ages but it was not till next door got their company to investigate was the problem found.
How long till we have to wait for a repair and better lines back to a good service, Months, years. when?
It would not be so bad but i have a lifeline connected to my phone so if i am in trouble it calls for help but with the fault with the line half the time it cannot get a single message or call out and before now i have been left on the floor for ages before someone came back home to get me off the floor as the box just said the phone line was disconected and could not get a dial tone or call out.

  • Media encoder messes up with green video and flashing frames

I've had this issue on three different computers now.  I have Premier Pro CS4 with MP4 video in the timeline.  Nothing too intensive.  I export to Adobe Media Encoder with settings of H.264, 640x360, 30fps, square pixels, 3-6Mbps.
When I do this about half way through the encoding process the video goes completely green (have preview turned on to detect the error) and AME slows WAY down.  Between long bouts of green video there are random flashes from frames shown earlier in the video.  I've encoded full HD H.264 video on this machine in the recent past, so there's nothing wrong with the computer.  Just like the other computers, something in the Adobe settings has gotten messed up.  I'm not sure which component translates the premier pro project file to something AME understands (Adobe Bridge?).  I tried a complete uninstall/re-install - no change.
I had Adobe Audition 2.0 installed briefly on this machine, but that shouldn't have messed anything up, right(?)  I noticed that it installed Adobe Bridge, which would be a version much older than what shipped with CS4.  Audtion was removed before I did the re-install of CS4.  You would think that would repair Bridge to CS4.
My other thought is that the Mainconcept video codec installation is messed up.  Does anyone know which files are involved and what date/time stamp I should look for to make sure I have all the correct versions?  How do I re-install just the mainconcept codecs?  There doesn't seem to be a straight forward way to do this in win7.
There have been other sightings of this issue on creativecow.net forums, but no definitive help.  I now can't get my documentary rendered, so any help would be much welcomed.
    TIA.

After days of uninstalling and re-installing...well...It turns out that PPro has a bug with H.264 (.mp4) files on the time line.  I swapped all the files to the online versions (full HD, .mov, H.264, 50Mbps) and media encoder didn't crash anymore.
What's strange is that I used media encoder to create the offline .mp4 files for editing.  The Mainconcept codec created the files, so you would think it wouldn't puke and die when using these files to encode the sequence to a final output - considering it's using the mainconcept codec to do it again.  Dumb.  There's likely a bug somewhere in the Mainconcept codec causing my intense headache.
So my issue is *kinda* fixed.  I just need to find a better codec for intermediate offline editing.  The full HD copies cause renders and encoding to slow down by a factor of 6.  Adobe, if you're listening, please fix this.
