Video shaking in Encore CS 5

I'm trying to burn my film to DVD via Encore, but it seems no matter what I do, the final result is shaky video (both in Encore's DVD preview and on the actual disc itself if I burn it). It basically looks like the video is constantly shifting ever so slightly up and down.
I have tried using dynamic link to send the sequence directly to Encore, and I have also tried exporting as MPEG-2 DVD with field set to "none" (the source is 1920x1080 25p video). The shaking doesn't occur if I just play that MPEG-2 file directly in VLC, or in any other type of file I've ever exported, but I have never managed to get an Encore project not to shake. I'm guessing it has something to do with the settings I have in Encore somewhere, but the project settings for a DVD don't really allow me to change anything, and I'm not sure where else the issue might be.

I always export AVCHD from PPro to Widescreen DV AVI (to then let Encore do automatic transcoding while building the DVD file) with the default settings... which I **think** are lower field first, for a DVD

  • Can i create a multi audio video CD in Encore 5 (CS5.5)?

    Hi All,
I was wondering, is it possible to create a multi audio video cd in Encore 5 (CS 5.5)?
Basically i have 5 music tracks that i wish to be able to be played as normal in a CD player, but i would like to add a video to that that can be played on a PC.
I have a few commercial CD's which have this (ie when they are inserted in a PC they open additional pc content) but i have a project i need to finish which would require this.
Is it possible? And how do i go about doing it?
    Thanks in Advance :-)

You cannot do this in Encore, AFAIK - but I will have a look in case I am mistaken.
VideoCD uses MPEG encvoding but this is roughly where the similarity ends - VideoCD uses 44.1KHz audio, not 48KHz.
Commercial CD that have additional PC content are again different animals - the way these discs (which are called "CD-Extra" or "CD+") are normally created is in a multi-session CD creation tool. You create the audio content first, then when you write the disc you do not close or finalize the session but leave it open - then you go into CD-ROM mode and add the additional content, this time closing the session.
Such discs can be created quite easily in GEAR Pro Mastering Edition, or WaveLab. What OS are you running please?
You would need to prepare the content outside of the final authoring tool, and commercial CD can (and often do) use Director created content or Flash created content - the down side to Flash is that it will not work on a Mac. You can also create the videos in Quicktime Pro - simply load into it your regular full scale version, and then export for web - this will create 3 separate versions at varying quality (Smart Phone, iPhone & iPad are the references although all will work on your CD-Extra disc.
Please post back if you need more assistance

  • Video shaking on DVD

    Hi guys,
I va just finished my almost 1 hour andhalf project on encore ,after the build i put it on the DVD, and the video starts shaking, don't know why this happens can somebody help me?

  • How do I move a video project from Encore to AIR via Flash Builder?

I've got a rather complex video project with lots of submenus (that works as a DVD - so it is "debugged") that I need to be able to export from Encore into an app to upload on the iTunes store and Android Market. So far, I've managed to export the project via Encore's Flash output and test the results using a web browser (it works). Everything got saved in a new folder structure with an index.html file pointing to the flashdvd.swf file pointing to the AuthoredContent.xml file that actually holds all the information on the file structure (there are 99 files in the Sources subfolder) and uses the default generated Theme.xml file.
What I need to do is to somehow import all this into Flash Builder as a project so it can become the source for the various "app" platforms. My questions are:
    1. I've got Flash Builder 4.5 - do I need to upgrade to 4.7 in order to import the project or can this be done in 4.5?
    2. Is there some intermediate step that I'm missing?
    3. Will Flash Builder be able to repackage all these files into the file specs required by each target platform (I'm assuming it will - is that a valid assumption)?
    And moving downstream a bit...
    4. Since this is a video based project with over 200 megabytes of F4V content, how will the content arrive on the end user device? Will it have to be  streamed or can it be downloaded? - this is a big issue should the app become popular and we be forced to maintain a streaming server somewhere. What about server sizing in such an event? For example: is there a way to estimate how much bandwidth is required per 1,000 instances?

Oh, no i think i clicked Solved but it's not at all solved and i don'tt see a way to reverse it and clicked unsolved.
I'v tried reading the Manuals but still don't see the solution.
I think I've misworded my question.  Perhaps i shall have to start a new question.
What i want to know is very basic.
How do i take a video i see on either youTube or another side and put it either on my iPod (i guess via iTunes) or put it into a document or an email??
Do i copy some link?  Copy what exactly?  Do i click and drag something?
I think if i knew how to get a video to iTunes I could be able to sync it.
But i don't know the first thing, how to get a video onto iTunes, or email, or a document.
    Thank you both.

  • What's causing my titles created in CS4 not to show in th exported video done by encore?

It appears that the titles that I've created and can see in Premiere CS4 aren't being exported to encore with the rest of to video. What's causing this to happen?

the project was orignally created on another computer; would the arwork for the titles be stored on the original computer?
I've had situations where graphics embedded into a title didn't show up because the graphics were not where Premiere thought they should be, either because they moved or because they existed on another computer.  But in those situations, the graphics did NOT show up in Premiere, and I knew to fix the problem before export.
Still, it's worth exploring the option of deleting those graphics from the title and redoing them once you have them on your hard drive.

  • Multiple Videos in an Encore Project

    Hi there,
I am trying in the last week multiple ways of make a Dvd Project with multiple videos.
I already have made 2 menus with 6 chapters each the problem is having 12 videos there without having the error "Size Exceed".
I read several articles and posts about this problem, the best way i found was using this formula 520/minuter = bitrate.
The problem is setting the bitrate when converting the videos because in total they only have 240 minutes what is possible to put in a dvd i think.
i already convert them to Mpeg2 and become more large in the mb space.
If anyone know i apreciate the answer and possible solution.
    Cheers.

    Hi there,
I try to combine all them in one, i already have try this way the problem was i only was creating a single file and not one for audio and other for video.
So i create 5 chapters in one track, exporting in MPEGIIDVD (.m2v) and Dolby Audio (.ac3).. ty for the tip of using LPCM but with that the video size become too much large.
This way building the DVD in Encore only take some minutes since i already transcode them in Adobe Converter. I already try this export in a dvd and is great.
The only thing that sometimes crash is when i'm making the chapters in Encore.. Until now i export 5 videos and its ok i will try to export with 10 and then 12 which is my prediction for each DVD.
I'm very happy about your answers they really help me.. When i have my project 100%i will come here and post something
Ty for all your help guys..
    Cheers.
    Hiya Fabio.
If you are only getting a single file then you forgot a setting somewhere to export to elementary streams and not a program stream. It's there - trust me on this.
The reason I suggested exporting to LPCM is to allow you to import your separate video & audio files into Encore & let that handle the transcoding.
Until you get used to bit budgeting, using the automatic settings is the safest approach.
    Good Luck.

  • Video Menu in Encore 2.0

    Hey all,
I'm trying to put video as the background of my menu for a dvd using Encore 2.0.  I've split my video into two parts, the first playing as a 'first play' timeline and then going into a looped menu that I created in AE.
I've linked and avi to the background of the menu and tried importing it as an AE comp and both end up being a static image of the first frame.  please help, our deadline is tomorrow
    -Than

Go to File>Render>Motion Menus. This should take care of that static image, if you've done everything properly.

  • Video size in Encore differs

I'm still learning more about video, encoding, and compression so you'll have to excuse me if this sounds elementary.  I've rendered a bunch of videos in Premiere Pro and put them into a folder.  When I imported the videos into Encore and put them in a timeline, I've noticed that they use up far more space than what the sum of their sizes would suggest.  The videos total about 1.98 GB in the folder but when I put the Encore settings to Blu Ray, 50 GB dual layer disc, it says I am using over 5 GB of space.  Is there a way to shrink/compress this or am I just stuck?

First, look at the project panel, and the transcode status and settings, both DVD and Bluray. This tells you whether Encore is accepting your file for at least one of the formats. If it is not, it needs to be transcoded, and those settings determine what size it will end up.

  • Poor video playback in Encore 2.0 preview and monitor window . . .

I'm having a strange issue with my video playback in the preview and monitor windows. At some points it displays as blocks (like digital noise). I unchecked the "Automatic" option in the A/V Output dialog as described in the manual. Still, nothing changed.
To make sure it was Encore that had the problem, and not the file, I played my MPG2 files through PowerDVD, and nothing wrong with the playback in there. What is Encore 2.0 doing? How can I fix this problem???
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Laz

What Mouse drivers are you using please?
This might sound silly, but under 1.5 (Different preview engine, true, so this may be completely wrong) I found that with a later revision of the MS Intellipoint drivers, I had exactly the same issue.
We worked this out by realizing the green blocks appeared as soon as the mouse was moved. As with your cases, the discs still burned true proving it is a preview related issue.
Uninstalling & reverting back to version 4.1 made it all go away.
But since the preview engine is now the PPro one, this might not work any more.

  • Video loops wrong - Encore CS5 Mac OS X 10.6.4

    Hello Adobe community,
I have a weired problem going on here where I cant find a solution.
I have a simple menue with a button and a 15 second duration. After pressing the play button or waiting for 15 secs the actual clip starts.
The playtime is 20 seconds. The video shows basically two images. The first is visible till 9 seconds and then it switches to the 2nd. This one switches back after 19 seconds to the 1st and after 20 seconds the clip jumps back to its beginning and starts basically to loop. Fine so far.
    It previews fine in Encore.
As soon as I create a disk image or burn directly to a DVD the video plays weired. The clip starts (whether by pressing start or waiting 15 secs) then after 9 secs the first image changes but then the clip goes till 16/17 seconds and jumps back to beginning and the second clip remains.
Then it goes till 19 seconds where it changes back to the first image. And this desaster loops now. So it goes once till 16/17 seconds and the next round it goes till the end.
How strange is that?? But this effect is only shown in Apples DVD Player. It plays right on DVD Players.
    My System is a Mac Pro 4 i7 16GB Ram and a GT120.
    I would appreciate any ideas.
    Thanks in advance!
    Cheers

    Hello Mr:
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
I have 10 GB free space on the hard drive.
How much total space? The reason I ask is that you should have 10-15% of the HD free at all times.
I would run repair disk from your software install DVD.
Also, I would check the health of the HD. Do this by going to Disk Utilities and highlighting the HD (not your volumes). At the bottom you will see something called S.M.A.R.T. If that says anything other than "verified," you have a failing HD.

  • Premiere Video file To Encore

After capturing and editing video in Premiere Pro CS3, I want to make a video file that can be used in Encore CS3.   Should I send the edited file directly to Encore and let it process it, or make an MPEG 2 file in Premiere that I can use in Encore?  Will the video quality be any different?
Message was edited by: Michael Stehly

    Michael,
I would also suggest Harm's method. What I would do would be to Export the Video-only as a DV-AVI Type II, and then Export the Audio-only as a PCM/WAV 48KHz 16-bit file. Import the DV-AVI as a Timeline in Encore, and then Import the WAV as an Asset. From the Project Panel (Encore), just drag the WAV to the appropriate Timeline, where it will snap into place. This saves possibly have issues with muxed files, i.e. one AV file containing both the Audio and the Video.
    Good luck,

  • Loop a video asset in Encore CS5

I need to be able to add over 100 short video assets to a project and have each video play continuously until the next button it hit on a remote which will advance to the next video in the list. Is this possible? I need each video to loop as it will play at an event and we don't know how long the video will need to play until we need to advance to the next section/video. Last time I had to do this I just repeated the video clip for a really long time so that we would be ensured that it would not advance to the next video, But I feel sure there is a better way to do this.

What you need is scripting, which Encore does not provide.
I would play with putting each video on its own timeline. Use multiple menus to branch. Use 4:3 menus even if the videos are 16:9, so you can get more buttons on a screen. You cou ld try making them black so they might not jar with the different aspect ratio of the videos. Use very short transitions and/or motion on the menus to make the menu appearance less disruptive. (Trade off with number of menus re the 1 gig limit for menus.)
For many of the videos, you are now 2 clicks away: click one "menu" (the menu option that will take you to the previous menu), then use the remotge control numbers to select the next track.
When submenu 1 is exhausted, you go back to main menu (title menu), and select submenu 2.
Yes, the operator must know what they are doing.

  • Publishing Flash Video directly from Encore

    Hello
As I am new to this forum, I hope I found the best place for my question. I have rented a few GB's on a streaming server, becouse I plan to open a little website with dancing videos on it. I have Adobe premiere pro cs4 to cut my video and encore to build a dvd. Since the dvd menu is quite practical I would like to use encore to place exactly the same project on my servers. This is how far as i got: I changed the script file so that my flash files got uploaded to my streaming server. I loaded the index.html, flashdvd.swf and AuthoredContent.xml onto my webserver, but nothing works..... I know that my streamingserver uses Wowza software... could this be the problem? Do I need a Adobe Streaming Server???
If you want to check the files, please don't hesitate to see www.dance-tv.ch/swidako'09/index.html This is the "progressive download" version of the project, but it seems to have the same problem as the one on the streaming server.
    Can anyone help please?
    Thank you

Ok, so I found a way to make it work in all the standards compliant browsers (except ie 8 if that is included now). For some reason even though I changed the source of the video in the component inspector to the following location:
    http://www.jasonandersonwebdesign.com/examples/abcgbi/about_us/ABC_Great_Beginnings_Commer cial.f4v
internet explorer, versions 6, 7, and 8 all give me the following error:

  • Video shaking on concert video

I used a HDR-CX330, mounted on a tripod,  to record a club concert. I was sitting fairly close to the stage, so the music was pretty loud. The video has a pulsing shake throughout...pretty much every time the drummer hits the kick bass, the picture vibrates. My question is this: Is the percussion too much for the camera to handle, or do I need a better, more shock absorbent, tripod? I don't know if the shake is coming from the floor through the tripod, or if the percussion waves through the air are hitting the camera causing the shaking. The audio volume is not too much for the camera to handle audio-wise...the sound is not distorting at all, only the picture is affected Thanks for any input and/or suggestions.

The addition of weight as Anthony has suggested can help.
The only reason I mentioned the sound waves shouldn't have too much effect is on the assumption of your camera firmly locked down on the tripod.
So regardless, the most important thing to try is weighing down the tripod so that it's more stable.
Having something to absorb the floor vibration is definitely going to be important, but I'm not sure of the idea of using tennis ******, being that they're round, I feel that they'd counteract the idea of firm flat stability from the tripod. But it would depend on your purposes.
Maybe just having the sponges underneath is fine - good quality ones of course.
And regarding the sound waves, just make sure the camera is tight on the tripod, and again, the tripod is weighted down. Just be careful with this though - if the tripod is a low quality tripod, if the weight is too heavy, it'll end up pulling down the tripod a little.
    Anyways, good luck.
