Video shows as Unknown?
I purchased an episode of Family Guy on iTunes and for some reason the episode is showing as Unknown on my list of TV Shows on my iPhone 3G. I went into info and made sure all the titles/artist were Family Guy, but it still says unknown. How can I fix it?
Well, browsing through the support forum here shows me, that you might have encountered the same problem as I do. Downloading a paid season pass of Burn Notice 4 with all of the episodes already downloaded (saw the processing of the download queue) and yet the first 4 episodes are listed correctly in iTunes but aren't found through the Finder window.
Strange but in any case one has to get in touch with Apple's phone or email support.
I do think that iTunes is trying to deal with too many things and not built stable enough to do so - synching doesn't work all the times and you have to re-sync twice to get the proper result - something that I experienced only as a Windows user, download queues got stuck and now loss of content...

Please help. when I click on a single picture or a folder of photos in finder, preview launches and opens virtually all photos in rapid fire succession. I turned off the setting that restores open windows when you restart the computer. That did not help. It has assigned the name "untitled" to my photos. i don't know what to do. Apple doesn't know what to do. the imac was purchased 6 months ago from apple store in king of prussia PA. Album view in iTunes 11 unusable because singles showing as "Unknown Album"
I have lots of "singles" in my collection (ie mp3s with nothing in the "album" field) as well as lots of albums.
Because of this, the "albums" view in iTunes 11 is virtually unusable, as 80% of the music shows as "Unknown Album" and prevents me from just browsing genuine albums.
Is there a ways to fix this so that the "albums" view only contains tracks that really are from albums? Nothing I've tried (e.g. flagging them as "part of a compilation") seems to make a difference.
thanks,Thanks - I have already done sonething similar with a number of smart-playlists myself, but this is a poor workaround and means the pre-built views in iTunes are useless. It's also something else to think about every time I import a new song so that it doesn't get lost.
Like lots of people, I've got loads of singles, mixes, radio shows and other music that is not groupable by album, and I find it ridiculous that iTunes hinders, rather than helps, to manage this.. Coupled with the appalling new search functionality this new version makes it harder than ever to navigate my music collection. -
Automatically Syncing my 3rd Gen IPod Touch, All my music and videos show in the device on iTunes, but when I look at the device itself, it say no content. Can someone help? The Apps seem to sync fine, just not the music, videos, podcasts, or audiobooks.
Change your iCloud ID password: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5624. After doing so, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new password.

Contact card in a Word comment shows an unknown presence status
Hi,
The contact card shows an unknown presence status for myself. I noticed this issue when I was adding a new comment to a Word document. My picture isn’t shown on the card either.
While not a major issue, I also noticed that the contact cards for the file's author and last modifier are broken in all Office apps. However, I'm signed in to my Office 365 account in all Office apps, so it looks like that Office isn't
linking my contact details with the online account. Also, my own picture isn’t visible in the user details (in File>Account).
The option "Always use these values regardless of sign into Office" is unchecked in settings. Skype for Business is installed and running in the background. I guess all these issues are related to each other but the main issue
is the broken contact card for a comment.
My colleagues have the same issue (tested with three other computers, one of them was purchased recently). All computers are running Windows 7 with Office 365.
Could you help me to solve this issue?

Based on my research, it shows Presence Unknown status if there are multiple users with same display name in the Address Book. We can try right-clicking the Author and select Edit Property, and then selecting the correct name from Global Address
Book.

I found another forum that had a solution. Instead of using the recovery discs that came with the mac, use snow leopard to perform the actions that I needed to do. It worked. No input/output error and the software recognized the 1Tb hard drive.

Why does my video shows interlacing effects
I am importing HD videos from my Canon Legria HF200. On my user account the videos show interlacing effects, while on the other user account on the same iMac the videos are perfectly imported. We looked in preferences in order to find differences in settings but we could not find any.
I guess I modified a setting somewhere on my account which my partner did not on his.
I tried updating iMovie but it is already the most recent version (9.0.2).
I tried reinitializing the settings but could not find how to do it.
Can anybody help?

This is a known issue with all Canon Legria (PAL) camcorders. If you do a search with the term Legria, interlacing and iMovie you will find a number of threads. -
Hi, I just bought an IPod - 30 Gb, it was working fine until I tryed to play some videos with it, it takes forever to convert a video but after it was done I transfered it to the Ipod, the video shows up fine but no sound is coming off the headphones, I tryed with like 3 or 4 videos, all of them had the same problem, I would apretiate some help with this matter. I´m pretty sure the problem is with Itunes program because the video in the pc has no sound either.

Everytime I connect my Ipod to my pc one of my video shows disappears from my Ipod, not from my Itunes.

External Video: Show Current Frame
This isn't hugely important but since starting with FCP I have wanted to be able to show external video whenever I'm parked on a frame - i.e. not moving video. I often want "All Frames" off because it can choke on the full resolution/framerate I'm trying to assess.
For the longest time I thought External Video / Show Current Frame was supposed to do this but just wasn't working. It eventually occurred to me that you have to shift-f12 every time you want the output updated.
Is there a way to tell FCP to "show current frame" whenever I pause playback or step through frames?Another strategy is to turn off 'mirror on desktop'. That reduces the processor overhead significantly which is very useful on low power machines yet you get all your images sent to the external monitor.
The check box can be found in: Menu Bar>Final Cut Pro>Audio/Video Settings> A/V Devices>
Scrubbing in the Canvas works and the current frame will show up in Canvas when you stop messing around. Canvas is only bypassed when you play the timeline.

i make videos using my go pro hd camera, but when i export it only half of my 3 min video shows up with the audio playing in the background, plus when i try to select the quality in the export options it won't let me select 720p or 1080p?????? help!!!
What you could do now is break up your video into smaller parts and render them out, then assemble them again as a whole.
I know this is not the best fix, but it might work.
You can duplicate an edit in the main screen, then delete the last bits and export,
do the same for the other half.
Then import the two bits (or more if you need) in a new edit.
Out of curiosity, can you post what format the video is in?
Copy a video straight from the camera to your computer.
Open it in Quicktime player, and with out playing type Apple + i
or Control + i for PCs
It should tell you lots of info about the video, and might help us to see what is wrong.

Hi - Im a little confused and frustrated. I prepared a photo slideshow in imovie and I also have selected video clips in imovie which I want to intersperse with this slideshow so it becomes a combined slide & video show. So I may start with three or four slides, switch to a video clip then back to slides for a while then insert a further clip and so on. Is this possible and how do I do it? Ive trawled through a bunch of google how to's and apple community answers but there doesnt seem to be any easy answer except go back to iphoto and import from there which becomes tedious having done it all before. I would also like to keep the inserted maps that I made for the slide show. Any help is greatly appreciated

This is an account setting and not an iPhone setting option. You may need to look in My Verizon or contact Verizon to see if this was something added to or activated on the account
