Video shows up on Camera Roll but not on pc when connected to itunes
I took a 30 minute video of my sons kindergarten graduation on my iphone 4s and it shows up on the phone in the camera roll. When i connected it to my computer to tranfer this video to itunes it doesnt show up anywhere, except in my camera roll on my phone. ive transferred many videos and cannot figure out what im doing wron with this one. Any help would be awesome as I dont want to lose this footage.
iTunes does not handle the import of photos/videos from the iPhone's Camera Roll.
Photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.

I assume you have Photostream on, correct?
In order for the photos to be moved into Photostream, you must exit the camera app, and be on a wifi connection. Both of these criteria must be met before the sync occurs. -

How did the photos get onto the phone ? Only photos taken with the phone or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the device. Photos that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing.

I need more space on my iPhone to update to iOS 7.0.6. I was able to import and then delete my Camera Roll but not my Photo Library. How do I do that?
To delete your photo library you need to connect to iTunes, then remove the selection for the images, then sync the device.
While you are connected to iTunes do the update through iTunes. It takes much less memory as the update is loaded onto your computer, unpacked, then sent to the device. -
Can delete photos from 'Camera roll' but not 'Photo Library'
Please excuse my ignorance in advance! I needed to delete some photos as I couldn't download any apps or take any more photos until I freed some space (not sure why as according to itunes I have nearly 2GB free). I recently updated iphone software and now have 2 photo albums on my phone. I deleted most of the photos on my camera roll but noticed that the new album 'Photo library' which was created when I updated the software still has all the original photos in it. I went into to it to delete them but for some reason there is no delete icon for any of these photos. Please note these are all photos taken using the iphone itself. I have never synced photos from my computer to my iphone so I can't delete them by syncing with a folder on my PC. I back up the photos by copying them manually using windows.
I would really appreciate any help as I don't want to run out of space of my iphone again especially if it is due to unnecessary duplication of seemingly undeletable photos!You cannot delete photo library pics from the iphone.
You delete them the same way you got them there in the first place. The sync process.
Deselect the photo album/folder under the photos tab in itunes, then sync. -
Why are my videos showing up in "Recently Added" but not in TV Shows or Movies?
I didn't have a problem adding videos to iTunes for several months, but now videos are not appearing in the right places. For some reason, they appear in the Recently Added playlist, but they are not showing up in the Movies section (which is where they had all gone before). The video plays fine if I play the file from Recently Added.
The files are mp4 format converted with Handbrake, which I have used for a long time without issue.

My research into the issue has found that some users experience metadata info missing from files. I ran some of the recommended programs that automatically add metadata to videos, but still had no luck adding. The issue is with every single mp4 file I add, and it just suddenly started.
If I click "Get Info" on a file, they are listed as being sorted as a Movie. If I change it to TV Show or Music Video then click OK, no changes are saved and file goes no where.
I get no Error Message when adding to iTunes.

Still having issues getting new videos to show in the "Movies" or "TV Shows" categories of iTunes. However, last night I discovered that Home Sharing on my iPad lists the newly imported videos in the Movies category (iPad & Video app). So, the files aren't corrupt or anything like that. It just seems like I need to 'refresh' the Movies page. Is that possible?
Since I can see the files on the iPad now, I want to remove the extra copies of movies I imported. But, since I can only find them in Playlists, how can I delete them? -
On 8.1, how do I delete photos from camera roll but not from photo stream?
I recently updated to iOS 8.1 on my 5S and was happy to get camera roll back, but unlike in the past, when I delete a picture from camera roll, it also deletes it from photo stream. You can't. The albums that you created on the iPad do not actually contain copies of the photos, but merely pointers to those photos. If you remove the photos from the camera roll, they will be removed from the iPad. Albums on the iPad are simply for your own organization on the device. Those albums cannot be imported to your computer either, since the photos do not exist in the albums.

When I create a new album and copy some pictures from the camera roll to the new album, they stay on the camera roll, and when I delete one of the copied ones from camera roll it also gets deleted from the new album, how can I avoid this???
You can't. The way that I consider it to work is that you are effectively just creating a pointer to the photo in the new album (I don't think that the total number of photos on the device increases when you 'copy' them into new albums), so if you then delete the original photo you will also delete all the pointers to it.

The reason for this is I have organised my pictures into albums on iPad and therefore would like to delete from camera roll however when I attempt to do this it says it will delete from album as well. No there isn't. The original photo is being stored in the camera roll and the copy of the photo is in the album. If you remove the photo from the camera roll, you will delete it from any albums that it might be in as well.

On my website, I have three uTube videos, which run perfectly fine on my laptop, but one of them - the first one on the site, with the picture of a bride - refuses to load on my iPad. I have used exactly the same method for importing the HTML code for all the videos, yet the first video just will not appear on the iPad for some reason. I have no idea why this should be the case. When I first uploaded the video to uTube and imported the code to iWeb, it worked for a while, but now - nothing.

Apparently my first response was off in left field. The DVD player has its own code. My recommendation is to change the code when it asks. It is possible that the disks that play correctly are region-free and the ones that don't have a region code. If this does not work, you still have four more changes available; you won't be stuck with the new code. -
Animated video shows up fine on YouTube but not after DW upload to mobile format.
I have a problem with playing a video on my smart phone. When I play the YouTube version - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFf3XwovPQg - on the smart phone the first page of my video (which is animated) shows up immediately but when I try the same video from my web page on the smart phone - https://www.oldeworldelace.com/Custmers-lace-panels.html - the animation takes forever. On a tablet or PC it works fine. After the first page is finally loaded the rest of the animation is fine. I have already compressed the images before using them in the animation. The program I am using is Kizoa to develop the video but I can't imagine that this is the problem. I create the video in Kizoa and upload it to YouTube. At that point the slideshow on YouTube is working perfect both on my cell phone,PC and Tablet. The YouTube version is working fine even on my cell phone. At that point all I do is copy the link URL from YouTube and, using CC, place that URL into the page you see on my web page. It no longer works from my web page on a cell phone but still works perfectly on my PC and Tablet.

I have a 5th Gen iPod Touch. I went in iMessage to save videos that were sent to me in my camera roll. The videos do not appear in my camera roll but my memory keeps on going down. Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
Come back with the results.
An "other" larger tha about 1 1/2 usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files.
First try:
"First you go settings/general/usage/music/then left swipe over music and press delete and you would think it deletes your music but it doesn't instead it deletes your other but make sure your ipod is connected to a computer while doing this"
