Video: Sound but no image

Hi, I'm trying to put a flash .swf video file into a PDF with
Acrobat 7.0 Professional using MAC OSX. When I make the video play,
all the sound comes through, but the screen remains a black box.
I've been able to make other flash movies, and quicktime movies
work. The flash file that doesn't work, however, will play in a
flash player on the PC computer that created it.

That sort of problem usually indicates that the video was
encoded with the VP6 codec, and is being played with an old
Flashplayer.
VP6 is only supported in Flashplayer 8 and newer, so I
suspect that the Flashplayer being used by Acrobat is version 7 or
older.

Home video: sound but no image....?

So I took a little 1 min. home video with my handheld digital video recorder, then I imported the video into iPhoto. Dragged the vid from iPhoto to iTunes "movies" in the Library. It's in there, no problem, able to view and listen in iTunes. I set the iPhone to sync this video, perform a sync, and the file is transferred to the iPhone. BUT when I view the file on the iPhone, I only get audio, no picture. All other videos (purchased from the iTunes Music Store) work fine on the iPhone, but not my home video. Anyone else run into this? Anyone know of a fix? Or is this another "not a feature" deal and we wait for a sw update? Thanks in advance for any help/ideas offered.

Tried this, deleted the old file on the iPhone, resynced, still audio but no video. Thanks for your help, tho!

When using Firefox certain videos play but the image is green and distorted.. help?

Firefox 3.6.8 and 3.5 (I downgraded to see if that would solve the issue)
Windows 7
Intel Core i5
Flash Player: WIN 10,1,53,64
When using Firefox certain videos play but the image is green and distorted. The image turns into lines and sometimes it half of the screen of the video. Examples are streaming MLB.tv video and some vimeo videos. The odd thing is that it isn’t all Vimeo videos. Is this a flash issue?
The issue does not happen with Internet Explorer which leads me to believe this is an issue with Firefox. I downgraded to 3.5 and the issue still persists.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in your [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash settings] (using Firefox, right-click on any Flash object on a webpage, select Settings, uncheck "Enable hardware acceleration on the Display tab).

Sometimes when working on an imovie projtect, I press space bar to watch it and it comes only the sound, but the image stays as a still frame of the image that is on the screen at that moment. It doesnt show as usually the movie.
Thanks for any help or suggestion.
PD: Maybe too much working on transitions or too many projects for the same event. I dont know. I m surprise with 8 ram and this happening.

Video playback - sound but no image

Hi,
I'm running elements 11 (on windows 8 pro), and I noticed when I click on a video, (the thumbnail is there in organiser), and hit "play" all I get is grey screen, the timeline runs fine, theres sound, just no image.
Can anyone suggest a fix please?

VOB's are standard MPEG streams. MP4 and MOV are not in themselves a format, but a 'wrapper' and what is encoded inside them could be anything. GoPro is notoriously poorly handled by Elements.
Even if you don't have Premiere Elements you might want to check out the Premiere Elements forum as there is a ton of material (discussions, FAQ's and Tips/Tricks) discussing formats and the way that Elements handles, or doesn't handle, various formats.
It is quite common to see people posting that the Organizer can't display video but the Editor will, AND vice-versa!

This forum is created for computer systems and I am afraid it is the wrong place for your question.
Anyway I have tried to find manuals for your TV but without success. This model is not listed on any list I found for manuals.

Sound but no image with a hybrid usb dvb stick (PX1256E-1TVH)

I'm usind this usb key on windows 2000 on a notebook from another manufacturer(ie PIVm 1.8Ghz, 512M RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 with 32MB dedicated memory)
With Savvy TV 2.2.2
I use it with a normal antenna (used for my usual TV) and have a clear sound but a blank screen as image :-( and i'm not looking at a radio (like the FAQ imagine (!)). I'm just using analogic TV (not DVB)
Directx 9.0c is intalled
PS: The usb key is working, but with a bad image, with another pc (laptop) and a smaller antenna (because i don't have access to antenna in this room)
Any idea?

You should search in;
Options -> USB options -> TV Tuner -> DVB-T Tuner or USB Hybrid TV tuner
Remove the old software, reboot the notebook, clear the registry with CCleaner and reinstall the new software from the Toshiba page!

27" ACD to Sony Laptop - sound, but no image

I have a new 27" cinema display and am trying to get it to work with my Sony VPCZ laptop/dock. I have a USB powered DVI to mini adaptor made by SIIG. My laptop has responded by adjusting the size of its screen to match the ACD which has sound, but no picture. ACD works fine with my wife's macbook pro. Help!

The movie inspector window tells me this:
Format: Avid Meridien Uncompressed, 720 x 486, Millions
16-bit Integer (Big Endian), Stereo, 48.000 kHz
The film was cut on an Avid system but I don't have an Avid program on my computer and no longer have access to the system where it was cut. I'm trying to discover if another plug-in can be used on my iMacG5.

Videos-Sound plays, Moving image does not.

All of the videos I have from bonus albums won't play the actual video. I get sound and a static image. Files are linked. They're in my iTunes folder. Is this a bug with the upgrade? Do I need to change a setting? They show up in my library but don't show up in the Movies library tab either.

Usually when moving layers between images, one would use the move tool
(click on the image in the document window and drag to the other document)
and hold the shift key down if you want the layer pin registered (aligned and
the images are of the same dimensions) and if the images are of different
dimensions, holding down the shift key centers the new layer.

My videos have sound...but no image!

Hi,
I have a really annoying problem in iMovie 08'... like... when I click on a clip, I don't see the video in the screen(at the right)... it stays blck... like all the time...... in fact there's only one project that I can see on the the screen... all my other projects and all of my clips don't appear on the screen... (like... they are in my events... but when i click on them ... they just don't show up... I can still play them, but there's just the sound...)
I also have iMovie HD 6... but I dont want to export again all of my videos and start some of my projects all over again...

I know I'm not that clear... so I took a screen shot

(in this image, one of my clip is playing...yet there's no image... I'd be able to deal with no sound... but the image is kinda necessary when you do editing...)

Youtube on iPhone 4 plays videos with sound but no moving image

When I try to play a youtube video I do have sound but no moving image.
Can anybody help me how to solve this problem? Other apps that play video work just fine.
I have an iPhone 4 16GB OS 4.1.

Videos Uploaded to Ipod - But No Image

Another classic question.
I have now managed to get my first video on my ipod, short video clip, and I hear the sound of the video perfectly, but there is no image of the video it wont play, it just shows the video title in the centre of the screen with a tv box icon in the corner.
On a similar topic, how do I get album artwork to show up aswell?

The reason why you iPod isent playing videos is because its on TV OUT MODE....to take it off of this go on your iPod > Settings > look for TV OUT > turn it off....do this and you iPod will display video...

Videos start but stop although sound continues

Videos will start along with sound but the video will stop although sound continues.If I move my pointer over the video it will jump to where the progress bar indicates where the video is at it's current playback time.How can I fix this problem?

Let me revise this question.Same problem with YouTube vids on Facebook/YouTube ect as stated above with the problem being video hangups.If I wave my mouse pointer over the video in progress the video proceeds but will stop if I don't wave the pointer over the vid.The vid will load and I can hear audio playback but the image will just stop while the audio is still playing.

When conected to tv sounds comes through but no image

i conected my ipod to the tv to watch a movie and it worked fine first. but when i switched to watch another one, and later to see photos, the sound wen through fine, but no image could be seen. help....
i pod video Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Videos->Videos Settings->TV OUT->ON.
Also check it is set to NTSC, not PAL.

Thank you for your query, I will do my best to help!
I grasp that you uninstalled the Intel graphic driver and the catalyst control. You reinstalled the Intel driver and now you can view and hear videos on the Internet but you are unable to set the resolution as high as previously.
When I checked the specifications for your notebook I see that you have switchable graphics.
Here are two links that I believe will help.

Here is a link to HP Pavilion dv7-6150eb Entertainment Notebook PC Drivers
Please try this process.
1. Download the chipset driver, and both graphic drivers and save them but do not install them yet
2, Delete the chipset driver and install the updated one.
3. restart your notebook
4.Delete the Intel driver and install the updated one
5. restart your notebook
6. Delete the AMD driver and install the updated driver.
You should now have a Catalyst Control Center.
This should now allow you to use the higher graphic card which should support the higher resolution.
