Video/sound don't match all of a sudden!

Adding some sound and music to a 20 minute movie using Logic. Things were fine for a while but now the video is slightly behind the audio. Can't figure for the life of me why. Any help?

many thanks for reply. but i'm finding that even if i redo it, add movie than import audio, they still don't match up and i'm sure they did in the first while that i worked on this. how weird. any thoughts are MUCH appreciated.

My iPad sound don't  work at all .

Do you get sound though headphones, and have you got notifications muted ?
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). The function that isn't on the side switch is set via control centre instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085
If not, and if you get sound through headphones, then have you tried inserting and removing them, and/or tried a soft-reset of your iPad to see if you get sound after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • ITunes Sounds Like Cr*p All Of A Sudden - HELP!

This afternoon I was enjoying the rockin' tracks on my iTunes as always. All of a sudden the sound dropped down in the middle of a song, not just volume, but bass, tone, presence (you know...sounds like all of a sudden you're listening through a paper towel roll). I checked my speaker connnections, rebooted my computer and iTunes and nothing changed - still sounded lousy. Kindly note, I have Harman Kardon Sound Sticks and Bass and the sound has always been top-flight!
I ventured onto the net and visited several sites w/ audio (BBC Radio, Wolfgang's Vault, YouTube, Apple Movie Trailers) and everything sounded just fine. Went back to iTunes - garbage!
Then I went into a bunch of iTunes radio stations and they all sounded fine as well. Also, the "Sound Effects" alert noises on my iMac are normal. Seems my iTunes playlist is the only thing affected. I checked and unchecked the "sound enhancer" box in preferences and nothing changed.
Can anybody offer help? I work out of my home office and will kill myself it I can't enjoy my music (yes, the work is that boring!).
    Thanks!

  • Audio/Video presets don't match

When I capture video, I get this message:
The audio sample rate of one or more of your captured media files does not match the sample rate on your source tape. The may cause the video and audio of the media files to be out of sync. Make sure the audio sample rate on your capture preset matches the sample rate of your tape.
I've tried to find a way to access changing the kHz and bit rate (currently 12 on my Canon XL1S) but without luck.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

For existing tapes that were recorded in 12-bit audio, your options would be:
    1) in FCE select the DV-NTSC 32KHz Easy Setup and recapture the tape to a new sequence using this Easy Setup (32KHz = 12 bit audio) or
    2) dub your tape to another camcorder via ANALOG connection and then capture the new tape in FCE. Of course, make sure that the second camera is set up to record 16-bit audio when you dub <grin>
For the future, you really should change your camera's setup to 16-bit audio. On the Canon camcorders, this is normally in the camera setup menus under 'audio' or a/v.
Try Camera menu > VCR setup > Audio mode > 16 bit. The XL1S manual is available online at the Canon Product Support website. You should select 16-bit audio and keep it that way for all future filming.

  • Multiclip editing error message 'video frames don't match'

I basically need help figuring out how to make these video frames work together. Also, what is the easiest/quickest way without loosing quality. (I have a ton of clips to get through)
1st image is settings for the camera I'm trying to match everything to. 2nd image is the camera with the wrong settings. I've tried a few different things using the export to quicktime function as well as compressor but I must be doing something wrong.
    Thanks in advance!

Just ran into the same issue...how did you solve it?
    Thanks!

  • IPad video downloads don't play all of the video from iTunes

This is the second time this has happend to me with video downloads. I recently rented a movie on itunes (on my ipad) set to download over night and the next day while watching it with my wife about half way through the movie it stop playing.
I reset the ipad and nothing happends - still the same problem. Now again it is happening with a tv episode I downloaded. Plays about 1/3 of the show then stops playing. It seems as though the entire episode didnt download but itunes says it does because it no longer shows as downloading. Is there any way to redownload the video without having to pay for it again? I've looked online for answers to this question for a good few hours and have uncovered nothing! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Could it be that the rental expired?
What videos were they and were they SD or HD?
You can try testing on another Wi-Fi network, to rule out connection issues.
You may have to email the iTunes Store.

  • Audio sounds hollow and tinny all of a sudden in iTunes

    Hi everyone -
I'm having an audio issue when playing files in iTunes. I'm using iTunes 8.1.1 (10) on a Dual 2.7 Ghz PowerPC G5 running OS X Version 10.4.11.
Recently I discovered that all of my audio files (music and spoken word podcasts) started sounding hollow and tinny, both when I'm playing the files out of my speakers (Harman Kardon Soundsticks) or headphones (Sony MDR-7606).
At first I thought it was perhaps an equalizer issue, but the audio sounds hollow and tinny whether or not that function is enabled. Also, using Sound Enhancer in the iTunes preferences doesn't change the quality of the audio, either. I don't use Sound Check.
The majority of my audio files are ripped from my CD collection using 256 kbps, 44.100 kHz, VBR, optimized for Velocity Engine.
I don't think it's an issue with the files themselves - they sound normal when I play them using the same version of iTunes on my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.5.6, which makes me think it's a software issue with iTunes, but I'm totally at a loss as to what would cause this change in audio quality.
    Thanks,
    Dan

I tried playing some of my files in Quicktime, and they also sound tinny, so I think you're right - sounds like a computer issue. Everything sounds like it has heavy compression, even in my headphones - very odd.
Should I repost this issue in a different forum...?

  • Video from "camera" stopped working all of a sudden

Using my ADVC-100, i'm importing old videos using a Toshiba VCR. I've successfully imported 20-some videos, and even used the nice new feature to upload a bunch of them to my YouTube account without a single issue.
Then today....suddenly, I cannot get iMovie 08 to import the video. I've tried everything. What it does now is, when I hit "Import", watch the video until I'm ready to stop it, hit "Stop", it just goes back to "Stop" or "Import". It does not go the the "Generating thumbnails"...it simply stops and does nothing.
I tried then switching to importing from the iSight, and it worked fine.
What baffles me is that I did absolutely nothing since the last several video tapes that I imported.
Does anyone have any idea what possibly could be going on? I've rebooted the program several times to no avail.
    Thanks in advance...

One thing I noticed is that when I click "Import" it says in the upper left hand corner "Ready to Import" even though the counter is counting and it says "REC" and the red light is on.
There is one thing that I did do since the last import. Since iMovie 08 has no "slow motion" effects, I downloaded iMovie HD and used that to build a project.
I quit out of HD before re-launching 08.
Now I did try just now to import the video using HD, but that did not work at all.
I'm still confused as to why all week I've been importing video after video, and now it arbitrarily stops working.
    Any and all help appreciated...

  • Ipod Touch 5G -  video choppy all of a sudden audio fine

Videos have played fine now all of a sudden last few days, they are all choppy - audio is fine though.  It is not my internet since my other computers not having this issue only Ipod Touch 5G
I first noticed it on Facebook, then went to youtube to my own videos and they are also choppy.   Any thoughts out there?
I have done all updates and all.

    Hey Calchick,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with video playback performance on your iPod touch (5th generation). While I understand that you feel certain that the issue is isolated to your device, troubleshooting your Wi-Fi connection is still an applicable step in this situation. The following resource provides some great information:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
Furthermore, it may be helpful to backup your device and restore as new. This will help isolate the issue to hardware or software:
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
After erasing and setting up as a new device, your device is now in a factory configuration. Test to determine if erasing and setting up as a new device resolved the issue. Content on the device may have caused unexpected behavior.
If the issue is still present, you may want to contact Apple Support.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • I have an iPad 2 and all of a sudden I have no sound in game apps. I have usual volume in videos and YouTube, I do get volume for games if I plug in headphones. I have switched to screen lock off and on again and I have also done a reset twice.....help :)

I have an ipad2 and all of a sudden I have stopped getting sound in my game apps. I get normal sound on YouTube and I player and downloaded DVDs. If I plug headphones in then I can get sounds for the games. I have switched the lock screen button off and on again and done a reset twice, can anyone help me with this?

Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

To solve some sound problems, just follow these simple steps
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Tap on General
    3. Tap on Reset
    4. Tap on Reset All Settings

  • In AE CS6, the sound does not match with video

    Hi,
I would like to ask a question. I have AE CS6, and I recorded a gameplay video with Avermedia Live Gamer HD. The format of this video is .mp4. When I import the .mp4 into the program, the sound does not match. On the original video, when i play with VLC or WMP, all things are good, and when i import, the sound does not good. What causes this problem, and can I do something to solve this?
    Thanks the answers, R3dLinE

Check your footage interpretation, split the audio in an external program, convert the sample rate and import it separately or whatever. Most likely you simply have used unsuitable recording settings with odd sample and data rates.

  • Videos get stuck-stop-loose sound and start again--all in 30 sec.

    hi friends
i have been using the video ipod since a month.i use videora to transcode videos..but today i dunno why but exactly after 30 sec. the movies get stuck for say 3-4 sec. and then i loose sound but the movies play from where they left..
i restored my ipod to factory settings but the problem still continues..i'm using the latest version of the software and i dunno whatz wrong all of a sudden..please help
      Windows XP

no i did not..but how will that help
It won't. I'll make it much worse. Stick to the 1.0 updater that came with your iPod and don't upgrade to 1.1.

  • Common No Sound when exporting to all video formats.

I am trying to import a video into FlashPro8. I had a wmv(with sound) file and bought QPro in an attempt to convert to flv. No luck, won't even allow me to open the file....Nice, Then told to get flip4mac. Done! File now opens but no luck... all exports have no sound. Then I ask the client for MPG file instead of troublesome WMV format. Still no sound. Now I have no option to encode the sound at all in any format with this mpg file when exporting. I export to MOV ...no sound. Is there a simple answer to this issue without jargon that i won't understand?

MPEG won't export with sound from QT at all. You can, however, export MPEG 1 and 2 from MPEG Streamclip, to all QT formats.
Flip4Mac in the non-free version(s) will allow opening of WMV then export to QT from WMV format. The free one won't.
Toast 7 will take a lot of formats and export to MPEG 1 via the make VCD menu or MPEG-2 via the make Video DVD menu. You make the VCD or DVD then mount a disk image and rip the files - in the case of VCD the AVSEQ##.DAT file is a MPEG-1 and you can just rename it.

  • IPhone 5s no call/text sounds work. Game sounds done work either. Only sound that works are music and videos

the call/text sounds don't work. Neither do sounds coming from the games I play(clash of clan) or other apps I use such as snapchat/vine. the sounds only When I play music/videos

    Hi there Prideleader,
You may want to try force closing all open apps and resetting the device as an initial troubleshooting step. Take a look at the articles below for more information.
iOS: Force an app to close
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
