Video Sound playing too soon...

I have a Captivate 2 project with only 3 slides. The first
slide is a powerpoint slide with some audio playing in the
background, and the second two slides have SWF movies playing on
them. When i watch my project locally everything works fine, but
when i upload it to my site, on the first slide, you can hear the
audio from the first slide as well as the audio from the two SWF
movies all at the same time.
i'm assuming that maybe its preloading the SWFs, and for some
reason the sound plays while it's doing this, because this will
only happen the first time you watch it...maybe after that the SWFs
are stored in the cache or something.
has anyone else run into this issue or have any ideas of how
to correct it? thanks!

yes, they are SWF 8 files, and i see them separately after i
publish from captivate...is there a way to force them to embed (if
thats better)? it seems like it kind of randomly decides which it
wants to do.
also, i do have the source files and i'll try that blank
frame and let you know if that fixes anything. thanks!

  • Sound plays too loud

Sounds embedded in flash movies play too load. The Windows
gain settings in Master Volume and Wave have to be adjusted all the
way down and even then some sounds are distorted (as if they are
being played too loud) even though the sound is low volume.
It is as if a gain setting is getting set too high by
    default.
This happens on some XP SP2 computers but not other XP SP2
    computers.
Might be sound card related. It happens on nVidia nForce2
    MCP-T (latest version of driver).
I tried embedding wav instead of mp3. I get the same effect
but at least the wav sound doesn't distort so badly that it can't
be fixed by turning down the master volume.
Please let me know if I need to post more information about
    the problem.

You can reduce the "Wave" Volume to half or below to leave the master volume the same level, that will solve the Volume problem.

For the scroll sensitive: you can also reduce this in the system preferences, but its is still not the same feel like in OSX.
Thats how I kind of solved these issues.

  • Sound loads/plays too soon

I created a loader for my swf file, and I'm using the
streaming method for the mp3 track which seems to keep the audio
and picture in sync, but the sound keeps loading and playing when
the swf's about 50% loaded. The result is that the opening frames
    are dropped.
    Here's the problematic
    site.
I've been searching the forum and I have not been able to
    find a solution to this.
Can anyone help? I'm obviously no Flash expert, so any help
    would be MOST appreciated.
    Many thanks!

    Shan,
Because I don't know how his clip is set up I gave him some
    possible functions he can use.
If i was doing this i would be loading everything from
external files and using the playback component and not the Sound()
functions as these functions severely limit your ability to control
the sound in the project, unless you find that the panning
functions are something you really need.
    Please help by being constructive.
    DK,
Heres what you will want to do. I believe you are using the
loader component correct ? ok now since you are using this you can
use the below action script with some adjustments to tell your
audio to start by using the Sound functions or the playback
component functions since I am not sure what you are using.
If you are not using the loader component to load your
pictures please let me know what you are using so I can get you on
    the right track, thanks.

  • Videos-Sound plays, Moving image does not.

All of the videos I have from bonus albums won't play the actual video. I get sound and a static image. Files are linked. They're in my iTunes folder. Is this a bug with the upgrade? Do I need to change a setting? They show up in my library but don't show up in the Movies library tab either.

Usually when moving layers between images, one would use the move tool
(click on the image in the document window and drag to the other document)
and hold the shift key down if you want the layer pin registered (aligned and
the images are of the same dimensions) and if the images are of different
dimensions, holding down the shift key centers the new layer.

  • My video clip plays too slowly. How do I set the playback speed?

I am just learning how to use Premier Pro. When I import the video clip and put it into the sequence section, the clip plays extremely slowly - more like still photography.
What am I doing or not doing to cause this?

  • WebCam Live! Pro: Video Playback Plays Too Fast...

I recorded a few clips for about 0 to 5 seconds each. When i playback on different players, PowerDVD, DivX Player, Windows Media Player and even the WebCam Center's own player, the video plays like its fastforwarding, and it says that the video is only 2 to 3 seconds long. The recording
    format is:
    Colour Space/Compression: RGB24
    Output Size : 640 x 480
    Frame Rate : 30fps
Compression Control : All the way to Better Quality
And also what does the 30fps mean? Does it mean smooth video like those on television? Or, 30fps in WebCam terms, means better and smoother video over other WebCams?

Try turning off automatic exposure in the settings. And adjust some of the other settings (gamma, brightness, exposure) until you get a picture which you're happy with. And try that. In the UK, films are made at 24fps (frames per second) PAL format, and in America it's 30fps NTSC format. So yes, 30fps is as good as it gets! It's as good as TV and better than a lot of other webcams.

  • Video Audio plays too fast

I seem to have this problem with videos from
finance.yahoo.com when I never had this problem? Anyway to slow it
down? I don't recall ever having this problem and I did a uninstall
reinstall of flash player. works on youtube, etc with no problem
but every videos from finance.yahoo.com is too fast.

Does Streamclip allow you to choose between Type 1 and Type 2 DV AVI? If so then you want Type 2 in your conversions.
    Cheers

  • Presenting on ipad: will the video sound play through external speakers?

I'm giving a presentation on my iPad, using Keynote. I have always had problems connecting the iPad to the podium in our classrooms (using the connector)--the screen mirrors beautifully, but the sound doesn't get transmitted. There is a speaker jack on the podium that always works with my MacBook, but when I plug it into the iPad2, no sound (except for the iPad's own speakers). Can anyone help? I don't want to have to take my MacBook--but I need sound! Thanks.

  • Sound plays too fast...

Hi, I choose to render in 720p, I choose AAC 16,000Hz and the sound is accelerated. I can't figure out how to fix this.

Excellent! My next suggestion was going to be to rip the Audio from the muxed AV file, with a program like Audacity, and then doing the Save_As to the 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV, but you beat me to it, and without the ripping step. Well done!
    Good luck,

  • Video sound over a photo.

Is there a way in iMovie HD to insert a photo between two clips and have the video sound play over the photo without the video.
I want to replace a small section of video footage with a picture, but continue to hear the audio of the video, sort of paste the photo over the video.
    Thanks in advance.
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

    Haloric,
In addition to Ivar's method you could try this.
If the photo already exists in your clip viewer or time line, select it then choose File>Copy. Now position your playhead where you want the photo to appear and choose Advanced>Paste Over at Playhead.
iMovie will automatically extract the video audio to preserve it.
If you don't already have the photo in your clip viewer or time line, you'll need to first bring it in to your project. Then just move it to the clip pane or just select and copy it right in the timeline.
This technique works with video clips too. Useful for a quick cut away to something else.

  • Swf file with external video not playing properly in Captivate 5

So I'm trying to create a captivate project using swf file that has code that loads external flv inside of it.
It all works great when I test it in flash but once I export it and insert it in Captivate the screens don't synchronize.
The content of the video starts playing as soon as the project starts even though it's not on that video slide and when
I try to scroll through the project the audio of that video screen doesn't stop.
Anyone has an idea why this is happening, could it be my code in flash that's affecting it?

Unfortunately, no. I gave up on the idea of inserting question slides in the middle of videos. That means I no longer have videos distributed across multiple slides, which I assume was causing the problem. Now, I only insert quiz slides AFTER the video slide. Not preferred but that's what I ended up with.
I have recently upgraded to 7.  I haven't had a chance to see if the issue is fixed in 7.  To be honest I am having many issues getting my courses to play properly on the iPad. I am using all the default functions and quiz slides, but I continue to run into problems.

  • Embedded Youtube video sound issues HELP!!

    Hello.
    This is my site http://mattpartridgeanimation.com/
In my 'animation' section I'm loading youtube clips to my site using this AS3 script found here.
This all works fine but when i use my buttons created in flash to load the new container_mc, the sound of the old video keeps playing. Does anyone know any AS3 script that will stop the youtube video sound playing when you click to load another video.
I'm pretty new to all this so any help would be great. Cheers

    Hi,
I found the same problem but, according to YouTube AS3 API reference, I solved it with the special function:
    player.destroy();
It works. Just replace "player" with the instance name of your youtube player.
    Quote from the documentation:
You should always call player.destroy() to unload a YouTube player. This function will close the NetStream object and stop additional videos from downloading after the player has been unloaded. If your code contains additional references to the player SWF, you also need to destroy those references separately when you unload the player.
    Best,
    Toz

  • How stop ambient sound when video sound starts?

I play ambient background music in my movie. I've written
Actionscript to attach an mp3 and control the overall sound volume.
The code to control the overall sound is:
    _global.allSounds = new Sound ();
    _global.allSounds.setVolume(50); for example
However, in my movie there are also video clips (w/sound)
that I have embedded using the FLVPlayback component and one of the
designer skins. The problem? I don't know how to stop the ambient
music when the user clicks the "Play" button on the skin. Both the
ambient sound and video sound play at the same time creating a
cacophony. And if the user happens to click the "mute" button on
the skin, my _global.allSounds.setVolume() commands have no effect.
How do I integrate the way sound is controlled by
Actionscript vs. the way it is controlled by video components?
    Thanks.

The obvious answer would be: remove the Beep VI that's probably in there. Please show us your code.

Not enough information in order to help you.

    1. Properties of source media (including file extension and brand/model/settings of camera that recorded the video).
    2. Is problem restricted to one particular file in one particular project? What happens if you start a new project? What is the

    3. Using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse?
    4. Does problem exist if antivirus and firewall(s) are disabled?
