Video sticks on buffering

I get stuck on "buffer" when I try to watch video content on HBOGO, using Firefox. I have no problem with Windows Explorer. I have updated Firefox AND flashplayer. I have high sped internet. I have no problem with any other video sites. Could this be an active x plugin issue? Embedded content of some kind?

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the [http://mozilla.com/plugincheck Mozilla Plugin Check site].
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions.

  • Audio and video sticking and jumping after installing windows 8.1

    Hello,
    I have a HP Pavilion G6 - 2292sa
    The product no is C1Y93EA#ABU
I have recently upgraded my system from windows 8 to the windows 8.1 update. Since I updated my audio won't work properly at all. During random intervals when playing songs on itunes the song will jump and stick for a few seconds then continue playing with random jumps like this throught all the songs. When I watch a music video on youtube the audio does the same thing as it does in itunes as well as the video sticking and jumping. I have tried an audio fix I saw on the HP forums that suggested I delete the hd audio driver, hard reset then reinstall them but this didn't have any affect what so ever. This is a huge problem since I can't watch netflix, listen to songs or pretty much do anything media related.
Any help you could give would be really apreciated.

I see that after updating to Windows 8.1 your audio and video sticks or jumps and you have been  unable to resolve it. You have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio driver to no avail.
I suggest you run The HP Support Assistant to look for updates and help resolve issues.  You also have a built in troubleshooter in Windows 8 and 8.1.
Press the Windows key +C to open charms
Type troubleshoot audio/video and press enter
    Follow the on screen prompts.
If these steps have failed to resolve the issue, I suggest you do a recovery back to factory and then retry the update.

  • Is it possible to replay finished video without re-buffering?

    Hello,
I have this problen when viewing streaming video.
Because of quite often buffering I am discouraged to view the streaming video in real time.
I prefer to wait until almost all video is played and then start playing it again from the beginning. This allows me to watch all video without interruptions.
However, when the video has finished playing (I was away from the computer) replaying the same video still requires buffering.
What should I do to avoid that?
Microsoft's Silverlight does not have that problem.
    Thanks,
    jas

  • Once a video has fully buffered, like from youtube etc. is there any way i can save it without any extra s/w or add-on?

Some previous version had this thing where a buffered video was saved in some folder named cache or something..i did it once in the older versions but i can't find it in the new versions.

Try this way (for youtube) :
    1. as the video run from youtube '''click the share button''' and '''copy''' (right click and copy on mouse) '''the link'''
    2. in '''http://keepvid.com/''' '''paste the url /link''' that you copy above and '''click download'''
    3. as loading java applet, probably you can see warning window(the application's digital singature...........application?) '''click run'''
    4.select '''1''' of the links/quality)
    (like ›› Download FLV ‹‹ - 240p '''or''' ›› Download FLV ‹‹ - 360p '''etc''')
    5. and in the opening window select '''save file'''
6.the download begins to your selected folder.
''to do the above you do not have to wait all video to fully buffered because you have the link.''
    thank you

  • Video is only buffering

    Hi there,
i have uploaded 20 minutes video material from premiere cs5 in CS Review. On my PC the review works fine, but my client who should review it, has the problem, that the video is only buffering, but theres no possibility to play it. They already have installed the Adobe Flash Player. Which other condition should  they check to watch it properly? Which requirements cs review needs for video playing? any special codecs?
    Thanks in advance,
    Julia

Some ISPs have revently slowed down there streaming protocols (especially at peak times), they are seperate from the standard protocols you use to speed test or download things.

  • I uploaded videos to website server and when playing videos they keep buffering and stop & start

Hello, I edited videos in PP CS6 and encoded 1920x1080 clips in .mp4 format. Encoded vbr 2pass 5.00 mbps , audio is AAC 320 kbps, 48khz. The videos play perfect in player on destop, and when downloaded from site, but don't play well
in website player..Even after encoding down to 1280x720, and with a much smaller file size, they still don't play well on site. Please help-

Jim, thank you for responding to my call for help. The internet server that I am uploading videos to, says that it is something to do with my videos size. Like I said I brought the size down to 1280x720 and also
reduced the quality and size of the clips but they still buffered extensively. I had the designer change the player but that was not the problem. So I am back where I began. The server uploaded their video and it
played with no problem so I am thinking its a small correction I need for html5 playability with my clips.

  • Airplay Video quality and buffering

I'm new to apple TV and am trying to watch my home movies (holidays etc) over airpay. However, I've found that if I try to watch in Full HD there's a considerable amount of buffering (2-3 mins) before the movie will start to play, and if I skip if buffers again. Basically is seems any file over 1.2GB struggles. I can convert the video using a lower bitrate etc which reduces the file size, but then obviously you lose quality.
Is there a way of playing Full HD video of large file sizes without buffering, or a way of compressing the video files without losing picture quality? I've tried MP4 and .MOV but the file sizes are very large.
    TIA

Thanks for the help, but this did not solve my problem. I have found a workaround though which is satisfactory.
What I've found that ideally the bitrate needs to be around 15, 20 and above it struggles regardless of file size. I tried converting with wondershare with a lower bitrate (eg original bitrate 23, converted 15) but the quality was noticeably worse. I tried passthrough using quicktime pro 7, but as you'd expect the bitrate didn't alter.
What I found by trial and error was to open the original .mov file using quicktime player 10 (10.2), go to file > Export and in the format dropdown select 1080p. The exported movie has a lower bitrate with no/VERY VERY little loss in video quality. These then play over airplay with no lag/buffering

  • Unable to view any videos.  Constantly buffering

  • Video Sticks After Rendering

    Good evening all,
Hoping one of the many pros here can assist me with a new problem I've encountered?
I have been using my copy of Final Cut Express 4 HD heavily for a couple of years on an Early 2008 Mac Pro (I believe OS 10.9.4) without any trouble. I have since upgraded to the latest Mac Pro (black cylinder) with Yosemite OS installed.
Today, I loaded Final Cut Express 4 HD without any trouble however I noticed the general interface performance was slightly sluggish. Despite that, I imported several GoPro video files and previewed, which played fine. However, after dropping into the timeline and rendering, the footage would play audio fine but the video would stick on two frames going back and forth like a terrible GIF.
Does anybody know how I can fix this, or if this is due to being incompatible with Yosemite? Hope it can be fixed, as iMovie is terrible!!!

The Viewer window can play just about anything - much like playing in QuickTime Pro.  However, once you drop a clip on the Timeline, if it doesn't match the Sequence settings there will be problems ... and as you found out, sometimes even after you render.
I usually use Compressor, MPEG Streamclip or QuickTIme Pro to convert.

  • Internet videos not smooth, buffers continuously

Hello to all this morning, hope you can help me out a bit.
When I watch videos that are posted on the internet, ie, youtube, HBO-GO, on facebook, NAPP (photoshop site), often the videos will freeze up during the entire video, as if it is buffering over and over throughout the video.  This is a relatively new problem, maybe within the last month or so and it seems to be happening more frequently now, almost every time I play a video. Is there anything I can do to get these videos to run smoothly after the initial buffering?
Thanks for any assistance you can offer.
    Barb

It's most likely your internet connection (especially if its Wi-Fi). Try connecting with a cable directly to the router or find a faster connection.
If you're sure it's not the connection (ie: if you run a speedtest on speakeasy.net/speedtest) and you download is faster than 5 mbps; then it can be the server that's hosting the files is just overloaded or slow.

  • Youtube streaming on IPhone 4. Unwatchable video stuttering. Audio continues to play flawlessly. Video is completely buffered. Fix?

    Hi there,
I've been having issues streaming Youtube videos on my IPhone 4 for awhile now, but it just recently escalated. Videos stutter like crazy right from the beginning, even on 360p or 240p. The video is buffered. The audio continues to play flawlessly, even when the video is moving at 1-2FPS. My connection on my IPhone is a solid 25Mbps down and 10Mbps up. I've tried closing all other apps, soft-resetting, restarting the Youtube app, and even watching video on the Youtube mobile site. The issue also seems to extend to all streaming video viewable on my IPhone over the internet, regardless of the website. This has only been an issue since iOS7.
Please help in any way you can.
    Regards,
    Ryan

  • Somebody please help! My videos have been buffering....

Ever since I updated my iPad to iOS 7 a couple days ago, ALL of my videos and their players have been lagging/buffering/going extremely slow. This includes Youtube videos, videos from my own photo gallery, and others. They all play  as if I'm watching a slide show of images instead of a continuous stream.
Please don't tell me that my network connection isn't working etc, because my videos were working just fine until I updated. Also, I know my Wifi isn't a problem since my computer is working perfectly.
Please Please PLEASE somebody help.... I am working on a project where video streaming is essential. Thanks everyone.

    (A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
    (B) Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing will be reset

  • Hi sir...my firefox is having this peculiar problem ..i have tried all the steps given in the prevoius page..but youtube video is not buffering...

initially it buffers for a second...suddenly message appears 'error occured..'...only youtube is having this problem..other website videos buffers fine..i have tried all the solutions you have given in the these pages...but its not working..please help me out...

Thank you for your question, we are currently investigating the cause of this and a work around. Currently there was a blocking of a number of ips in India that has had a large affect on Firefox/Youtube users.
Suggestions for troubleshooting this issue have been:
    *"Clear the Cache":
Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
*"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
*As well as temporarily changing dns to 8.8.8.8
*Flushing the dns cache on the computer
*File may be unavailable, please try again later.
*Disable all video players from [about:addons] and see if it will play from the default HTML5 player.
Please post back with your results, it could help other users. Thank you.

  • Videos are not buffering properly...way too slow, then buffering stops without finishing.

This is not only with YouTube...it's ALL videos..I've updated all plugins.
Also, I cannot enlarge any of the small photos on Facebook...I only get the black rectangle background...My account works fine from another computer (not my own at all), so I assume it's a Firefox setting issue somehow and not a FB setting issue.

Is there any youtube settings??? Can any setting be changed which relate to youtube? And is it possible to watch youtube through safari and not through the standard application?
NO, there are no settings. Flash will not play in Safari yet, but there is a workaround using VideoHamster.
Here are a couple of Flash YouTube videos on my server that I converted to QT with CosmoPod. How do they load for you? I have a 1M up cable connection. They should start loading and playing after a few seconds. YouTube videos start playing after about 5 seconds on mine.

  • Flash video - behaviour when buffering stops

I've started using progressive Flash video on one of my sites. The objective is to provide subtitling for foreign learners of English. It works well, subtitles jump around on full screen, but that's just cosmetic.
However, one of my testers reports that periodically the playback stops, and you have to press the start button to continue.  The desired behaviour would be à la YouTube, where it pauses, the buffer fills, it continues. I've only seen this problem once on my system.
There are references to this in the discussions, eg http://forums.adobe.com/message/3794903#3794903  but few answers.
    So, can I ask
    1.  With progressive flash video, what is the expected default behaviour when the playback hits the end of the buffer because too little data is being downloaded - is it supposed to recover and continue automatically ?
    or
    2.  If not, is there a known fix ?
My goodness, it's a black art Flash Video !  Here's a link where maybe you'll see the problem.
