Video stream through PIX

I wanted to know if I can take an video source from a public IP address through my PIX, using the static command, to a multi-cast address like 224.2.0.1. Is this possible or not? If not what would be another way to do it?

Yes, using a static command you can take video source from a public ip address through pix

Does anyone know a work around to broadcast live (in real time) via video stream through a BC website?

There is no work around. You would look to use a service, like Twitch, you get a embed code for the live stream, you put that on a page and away you go. All depends on the service your using.

  • Mplayer and multiptle simultaneous video streams through xv

While I was using nvidia drivers a while back, I could playback multiple simultaneous video streams through xv in mplayer without any problem. After recent change of video card and consequential move to open source radeon drivers, I've observed that I can play upmost one stream with gmplayer (it spits out an error about problems with opening the selected video out device - I can playback more files simultaneously using basic mplayer, although it spits the same error in console with every successive instance). Could someone enlighten me whether it's a standard behaviour of xv with radeon driver or maybe the problem lies elsewhere and it's omittable somehow?

Tried it, but to the same result
What I found out is that the user can play videos from console with framebuffer at least. Not that it helps..

  • How do I make only the video stream through atv and keep audio via pc

Basically I am having the video streamed via atv3 to my tv via HDMI, but I want the speakers connected to my PC to be used. They're logitech speakers that have the pink-green-black 3.5mm cable setup. They can't be plugged into the TV and it appears that the HDMI stream pulls audio through the TV but I just want it to only stream the video, if that's possible.
I have searched other forums but due to ignorance I couldn't quite understand if their questions were the same, and the answers didn't seem to fit
Any help would be great, thanks.

    Welcome to the forums!
What is the size limit for your email system? It may be that it is too small for any reasonable audio file. I'd suggest looking at a file-hosting and download service like YouSendIt, which would let people download the full presentation.

  • Live video streaming through red5

    hi all,
I'm working on a video Audio chat Application developed in flex, Air and red5 as media server.
Basically the chatting will be between one-to-one user based, where one client(webUser) is going to signin from the website and selects a user from the list of online users.
The other person is online from his desktop tool developed in air application.
The communication between these two users is through webService. Now as soon as the Air user gets request for chat from webuser he accepts it, a chat window opens and connects to red5.
We are streaming the live webcam video,Audio and messages through red5. we are publishing Air users video to webuser and playing webusers video to airuser. we are using the same code in both the applications for connecting and streaming but the video is playing in the webuser end for few minutes and in the air application the webuser video just appears for few seconds and stops saying NetStream.play.unpublishNotify. That is the actual problem.
I also test with the same thing with two web application and here publishing is working at both end and both user can able to see the others video.
So main problem is between Air and web application, the video stops in few seconds. Please let us know if there is any security restriion in AIR or any thing else which I m missing.
    Any help is appreaciated.

  • Variable bitrates for Live Video Stream through DSS

I was wondering if there was a way I could do a live broadcast using QuickTime Broadcaster and Darwin Streaming Server (DSS) so that users viewing the live feed see it at different bitrates according to their internet connection.
I've been looking through the administrator's guide, but it doesn't say anything about doing reference movies with live broadcasts so I wanted to ask here.
Dell Server, iBook G4 with QT Broadcaster   Other OS   Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 running DSS 5.5.1 using latest QuickTime Broadcaster

Would I have significant performance problems with QT Broadcaster encoding the same video at three different rates?
Not really since you'd be using three separate Macs with three separate copies of QT Broadcaster. Of course you'll need sufficient bandwidth in your network/Internet connection to handle the number of feeds you expect. I haven't tried to plug a single FW camera into three separate Macs at once, though in theory it should work (I did it with two once just as an experiment and it seemed to work OK).

  • Amazon videos stream through Apple TV?

I own a GREAT deal of videos in Amazon prime, IF I buy an Apple TV, will I be able to stream them? I currently own a Roku, but would like to buy an Apple TV for the family room IF I can utilize all the video's I own.

only with spottily or all audio absent when you mirror?
when asking putting in very specific info such as stating the app can be confusing if the issue is general
personally my first step would be the disconnect the router for 30sec

  • EA6500 Choppy Video Stream to Xbox360

I've been viewing some videos streamed through the EA6500 from a Qnap 419p II NAS, and several video files are playing back extremely choppy.
I can confirm that the video files play fine on the Xbox360 using a USB key and have also previously streamed these videos without any problems using a Belkin Wireless Pre-N router (that I upgraded from) streamed from the same NAS.
I've attempted to configure the Media Prioritization feature, but haven't noticed any different results. I have also adjusted other various settings that haven't affected the playback in any way.
My only guess is that some of the files are encoded in a format that the router is struggling with - the video files are not HD videos, and their bitrates are generally quite low - if my old Belkin router can do it, the EA6500 shouldn't have any problems either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Here's my router's configuration:
    - Software version: 1.0.0.145954/1.0.0.159292
    - EA6500 firmware version: 1.1.28.146072
    Thanks for reading my post!

    Hey jamay,
Below you'll be able to find the information about the video file I'm trying to stream from my Qnap NAS to my Xbox360.
Note that I'm not actually using the routers USB attached storage / Media Server DLNA features to stream the file, but simply streaming the file from one network device to another. The codec that the video was encoded with won't necessarily apply.
The video does stream okay to my Home PC, but not the Xbox360. My Home PC is using a static IP address, but the Xbox is currently configured to aquire an ip address from the routers DHCP server. I might try and see if using a static IP address will change anything.

  • Video Streaming in Windows media player won't play through Airport Extreme

Hello and thank you for reading my issue.
I have the current square shaped airport extreme base station. My mother has a Windows XP system on her Toshiba laptop and she takes an online class which has video streaming for the lectures. When we connect to the network wirelessly or with an ethernet cable through the base station, the video will not begin to buffer and won't play from the website. It just states ready and doesn't buffer. However, if we connect the laptop straight to our cable modem without the base station, the videos stream and play perfectly. Anybody know how we can fix this to play through the wireless network? Thanks a lot.
MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I've played with all sorts of software settings and configurations. This is what worked for me, but I'm not sure how it would work for anyone else, or if the issues are even related, but here goes.
1 - Turn multicast rate to 1 MBPS in the drop down menu found in Airport Utility>Airport icon>Wireless Options Button.
2 - Turn off multicast in Windows Media Player or Real Player
3 - Turn on Video Overlay Optimization check box in Real Player.
These things worked for me, hopefully they will help or give you some ideas for your own situtation.

  • Sending video stream to another network through vpn

    Hello,
Am christopher from TANZANIA (EAST AFRICAN COUNTRY).
    Please help me.
we have our cable tv and we want to stream it to our another office in another region, where we have configured a VPN in this two offices using cisco router RV180. I have tried multicast IP but didn't work.
Please help me how do i send this video signal to another region with our VPN connection. the video is through/output in UDP.
    Any advice please.

The problem is routing that multicast IP to another network through VPN, and am using RV180 CISCO ROUTER.

  • Video streamed from YouTube using the Apple Composite AV Cable

I used to have video streamed from YouTube on my iPad to my TV using the Apple Composite AV Cable, this was in previous versions till the iOS 6 release, then YouTube no longer streams video through this cable :'(
Very annoying really to miss a feature through a software upgrade!
    Please help me.

Looks like the connector that goes into the iPad doesn't precisely connect all pins and lock the whole thing in place as well as we would think an Apple-branded product would. I discovered after four hours that if I pull my AV composite cable from the iPad without turning the iPad off (not the Apple recommended way - perhaps there's a better way, like replugging with it off?) and plugging it back in, *poof* I get video again. Now, Netflix still isn't working, but U-Tubes and photo slideshows are back with awesome-quality sound. I believe I'll get similar results when I try this on my iPhone 4.
I guess Apple TV is really the only way to get the luxury back of being able to stay focused on your entertainment and not this equipment because this was spozed to be a movie nite for me four hous ago. I just wish Apple TV had as much content as the Roku.
Anyway, just plug and re-plug, but don't be too hard on it. You might also have to turn widescreen off and back on again.

  • Saving video stream from webcam periodically!!!

Hi there, I want to catch every 1 minute video stream from the webcam, or video file, and save it into separate files. Of course I woudl like to have possibility to save many streams simultaneously. Any idea?
    Best regards

    Hi,
I want to do the same thing ... I was able to stream audio through the socket but could not stream video.
I posted my question at http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=674676&tstart=15
and presented a sketch of my implementation design. But until now no one has answered my question.
This is how you should hook up the components on the transmitter side
    Webcam --> Processor --> Custom DataSink --> PushBufferStream --> PushBufferHandler --> Socket --> Network.
You can implement the transferData() method of the PushBufferHandler to write to a socket.
And on the Receiver side the components should be hooked up like this
Network --> Socket --> PullBufferStream --> custom DataSource --> Player
    Now as I mentioned in
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=674676&tstart=15
the audio works fine but the video does not. The video does not render on the receiver side.
Note: I tried TCP sockets with audio and it is terrible (not practical at all) so I reverted to UDP datagrams and the result was better than I expected. I didn't take care of the ordering of received packet at the receiver but it still worked fine.
I am still looking waiting for some help in why video is not rendering and how can I sovle this problem.
I am workning on a project and time is running out.
    Any help?

  • All video streaming has continuous pixelation/macroblocking issues

On youtube, dailymotion, vimeo, etc.  (all internet video streaming sites)  the video becomes pixelated and I get macroblocking.  It appears for a few seconds, then it goes away, then a few seconds later it comes back.  It does this continuously off and on.  This happened before and I couldn't find a solution so I re-installed Windows 7 and then the problem went away.  But only 3 weeks into the new re-boot and the problem has resurfaced.  I have no idea what happened or how to fix it.  Please help!!  I can give you the specs for my PC and let you know whatever else is needed to solve this problem.  My PC skills are not that advanced, but I can follow directions very well.  This problem is starting to really piss me off.  When I download a youtube video, the problem is not there when I watch it on VLC media player.  The problem is only present when I am streaming it from the internet.  This problem just "appeared".  It was not there on a clean re-install.  I  don't know how it re-surfaced again.  I've searched through other forums an I cannot find an answer anywhere!  I need to know the source of the problem and I thought it might be Adobe Flash, but I am not sure.  When the videos become pixelated, it looks like this (I took a screen shot):

My browser is Firefox version 18.0 (it is up-to-date) and I have DownloadHelper version 4.9.13 and Adblock Plus version 2.2.1 as add-ons.  My Adobe flash player version is 11.5.502.146.  My operating system is Windows 7 Professional (64-bit).  The HTML5 video worked perfectly fine.  No problems with that one.  The Non-HTML5 video showed the same problems I keep running into.  Here is a cropped screenshot of it:
Thank you.  I really appreciate the help.  So what is the next step???  The HTML5 video had no problems and worked perfectly fine.  I figured it would just be easier to show my entire system information (motherboard, processor, video card etc.), so here is the output from the DirectX Diagnotic Tool regarding my system information:
