Video streaming without iPhone's internal player

Hi everyone,
We publish training videos and have the problem that we need to restrict the player to only play/pause. We have tried every player, we are now publishing videos via Adobe Captivate (an eLearning app) and it works fantastic for us on almost all devices, Android, PC, Mac, even the iPad. The Captivate player only lets the student play and pause the video.
But then we test it on iPhone 5 and, bazing, the iPhone 5's internal player kicks in and takes over the mp4 video, gives the student all the functions they want.
I understand why that is, I really do. We're in the 21st century and instead of making it harder for users to use players, everyone's trying to make it easier. But the problem is in some cases we still need to restrict it.
Does anyone here now how to bypass the internal iPhone 5 player? Is there any way, any product out there that will not fire up the internal player app and just lets it be? The iPad is fine, at least the iPad2 - I don't even know about the mini...
Is there a way? Please let me know. I'm about to slam my head against the next wall...

Photo stream form iphone to mac

Is there a way to limit the photo stream to go from iphone to mac and not from mac to iphone... I know I can turn off photo stream, but then it does not send pictures from my phone or ipad to my mac...

I have 484 pics in camera roll.hooked my Iphone using camera image. Clicked import all and pictures seemed to be downloading but they still don ot appear in Iphoto. I clicked import to "Iphoto" I clicked import all and numerous pictures appear to be downloading then screen comes back with import all button again. I must not be doing something correctly

Is this using a specific app or apps? Not all apps support video out over AirPlay, the option is up to the app developer.

iCloud requires OS X 10.7.5 or higher, and iCloud photo sharing (which includes shared videos) requires OS X Mavericks v10.9 and either iPhoto '11 version 9.5 or Aperture 3.5. Without these, you can't access the shared stream videos on your Mac. However, at the present time you cannot save a shared video from a shared stream anyway, you can only view it. If you want it on your Mac you’ll need to import the video to iPhoto from your camera roll using your usb cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

Not necessarily, but right now you don't have a stable network and there are a lot of factors that can compromise that. I didn't say ethernet was the only option, again you can get a report of your network to see the status. Would have to change things in order to strengthen the wifi signal (i.e. router location, channel,placement of ATV etc). I am running on wireless without issue, same as most users, and if you took it to a controlled environment (like Apple) you would see similar results.

Likely there is not one. The MacWorld iPhone 4 review says:
"It’s also unfortunate that, at least for now, iPhone 4 owners can only use FaceTime with other iPhone 4 users, and not interoperate with other video-chat clients such as Apple’s own iChat. (Given that FaceTime uses all the same sound effects as iChat, it seems inevitable that the two products will one day interoperate"
Best bet would be to do a search in App store under video.

I have the new Iphone 4s have not been able to use Icloud to download my photos in photo stream to my Imac. I have Iphoto 09 version 8.1.2 so I assume I would need to upgrade my Iphoto on the Mac but is there any way I can import my 400 plus photos in my Iphones photo stream to my Mac. It will not work when I try to sync the two.

IOS7 Won't Allow Video Download from Iphone to Mac

I can't find an answer anywhere for this one. With an iPhone and IOS7, when you connect via cable to a mac (Mountain Lion), you cannot import video from the device to the mac. Image capture, iPhoto, Preview--they all show the device as mounted but they all see no video or images. Same computer with pre-IOS7 upgrade works fine. Anybody?

Video streaming over airport extreme (b,g,n)

Hi, I hope someone can shed a little light on this problem for me.
I have video files (films etc.) stored on my macpro that I sometimes watch on my mac mini, because it's hooked up to a big screen. They are both connected wirelessly via an Airport extreme base station.
If I set the base station to use the .g transmitter only then all video streams perfectly to the mac mini, no problem. However, I would like to use the .n capability if i can as my macpro is capable and the extra throughput would be nice. But if I swich the base station to any of the .n capable transmitters the streaming capability to my mac mini is terrible. The playback becomes intermittant and slow.
I have tried several of the multicast rates and channels with no improvement. Is there something else I have missed? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Youtube streaming on IPhone 4. Unwatchable video stuttering. Audio continues to play flawlessly. Video is completely buffered. Fix?

I've been having issues streaming Youtube videos on my IPhone 4 for awhile now, but it just recently escalated. Videos stutter like crazy right from the beginning, even on 360p or 240p. The video is buffered. The audio continues to play flawlessly, even when the video is moving at 1-2FPS. My connection on my IPhone is a solid 25Mbps down and 10Mbps up. I've tried closing all other apps, soft-resetting, restarting the Youtube app, and even watching video on the Youtube mobile site. The issue also seems to extend to all streaming video viewable on my IPhone over the internet, regardless of the website. This has only been an issue since iOS7.
Please help in any way you can.

It is a hard one.. laptops with small drives are a pain.
What you need is a home media server.
Some people use a PC running itunes for cost.. but that is nothing like as good as using a Mac mini.. they make great little HTPC device.. you can plug in large hard disks and store all your files and media. And share it with the network.. Read up apple's instructions on home sharing.

For cost you can buy a mini from 2011 or 2012.. I would not recommend earlier ones.. the advantage of 2012 is they have USB3 ports. But you will pay more for them.. new mini is not as useful.. they have soldered in memory and you cannot upgrade.. the old mini was the most easily modified mac in the whole range. Uses little power and can be bought for a $300US for a good one second hand.. maybe less.

Welcome to the Apple community.
The simple answer is yes you can. On a single user computer, the user can have secondary iCloud accounts, which they can add through the system preferences > mail, contacts and calendars. The only drawback here is that only the primary iCloud account can use photo stream. This can be worked around by having a second user account on the Mac. Each user account could then have a different primary iCloud account, one for you and one for him, your account could then receive your photo stream pictures.
Are you also aware that you can have iCloud on your PC and download your photos stream pictures to it.
