Video stuttering, audio fine. Any ideas or is it just a bug?
I've got a 160Gb box running the latest software. When watching movies which have been ripped with handbrake and are stored locally, they often become a stuttering unwatchable mess. The audio continues to play without any problems though.
These are movies that have played fine in the past and will occassionally play without any problems. However, once they start to stutter, that seems to be them knackered for a while and no reboots will fix the problem.
This problem has been there for a while with the box but is definitely worse since the latest software updates.
While these are movies running from the internal HDD, the box is connected via Ethernet cable to an Airport Extreme which is then getting the rest of its content wirelessly from an iMac which is connected by Ethernet to another AEBS upstairs.
So, any ideas? Its a shame because when the box works its fantastic, but between this and the problem with it hanging on the Apple logo, its starting to become a real PITA.

Could be your network setup. If you are using more than router then all secondary routers should be placed in bridge mode(even if using ethernet) then configure wireless settings.

Hi,
I shot a video on my iPhone 4s last night and it won't download to my PC (running XP) or upload to facebook. It is only about 4 mins long and 690MB. I have successfully downloaded a couple of other videos of similar length so don't understand why there are problems with this one. It plays perfectly on the iPhone.
I have tried manually copying it and using the scanner and camera wizard, both download the file but it is 0 bytes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To properly diagnose the problem it's important to understand the environment. First off, what web browser are you using to view this content? Safari, Firefox, Chrome or something else? If you're using, for example, Safari have you tried watching the same video in Firefox or Chrome and is there any improvements? Are you certain it's a flash video that you're working or is it something else that's using a browser plug-in?
If you've got a first generation MacBook Air with the Intel GMA X3100 I'm not surprised that Football Manager run poorly on it, especially if it's a newer version of the game. If you have the NVidia 9400M it should handle it a little better but don't expect optimum performance, regardless the MBA is still running a shared GPU. -
My playlist has 15.96 Gig but when I go to sync it, the iPhone says 18.1 Gig of audio. Any ideas as to why (I realize I'm probably going to feel like an idiot when I get an answer)?
Do you have any voice memos that were created on your iPhone?
Did you include music videos?
If the iPhone isn't behaving like other iPhones, try restarting or restoring it. -
Using Azul media player app on my ipad Apple tv will only display sound but not video from movies. Any ideas on a fix. I set mirroring to on but it still does not display video. It will display photos and video recorded from my iphone.
Here are the steps for AirPlay:
Before starting Azul from your (running iOS 5.x/6.x) home screen where have have all your apps we need to turn on mirroring
On your iPhone 4S/5 or iPad 2 or 3, double-click the Home Button to view your recently-used apps.
Swipe all the way to the right to until you see the icon.
Note: If the icon does not appear, go to the "If AirPlay Mirroring is not visible or available on your mobile iOS device" section.
Tap the icon to see the list of available AirPlay devices.
Enable AirPlay Mirroring in this menu by tapping on an available Apple TV, then sliding the Mirroring slider to ON.
Now you should be seeing your iPad/iPhone on your TV.
Start up Azul now and using the settings icon on the top right corner go to the option that say "TV out" ON.
When you do that you will see an Orange screen
Now click "Done" and play the video you want to watch and it will AirPlay -

There are two entirely different paths involved here; SMTP for send and either POP or IMAP receive. Check your receive path. Confirm username, password and the POP or IMAP server identity. Also check directly with your mail provider, and ensure the POP or IMAP server is functioning and online, and the provider hasn't changed their particular POP or IMAP configuration requirements.

We had this happen with a ipad mini, took it back to person who worked on it, after a week with trying to get it working again, he replaced it. I will agree with the other replies take it back to repair place there must be something inside the phone that if you don't do repair excalty right it messes up all phone functions. Also I would give the repair person a time frame to either get it working or replace it.

I was watching a video full screen on my macbook but when I turned on air play mirroring to my Apple TV, the audio went dead on the mac and there was no audio on the tv. Any ideas why? Turn off mirroring and the audio was fine on the Mac.
Well an alternative to using the AirPlay feature in the Youtube app, is to use the Youtube app in the Apple TV. Thats all I have to say! All built-in apps on the Apple TV have amazing playback!

Im having a problem with the dvd quality, I'm using compressor to convert the video fils from apple prores to mpeg2 .It doesn't matter how long my video is even if its just 5 minutes I'm getting cut edges/lines in the video specialy if i have titles it comes up really bad , I took the same video to a friend of mine who have PC and he uses Encore , did the encoding there and it was just fine no problems! BTW I tried using doferent setings in compressor from CBR and VBR I even pushed up the setings to 8 or 9 BR and still no luck !

For now, I'll assume you're shooting 1080i.
Take a representaive clip into a new sequence. Add a title.
In your sequence, make sure field dominance is set to Upper.
Set render settings to Pro Res 422.
After rendering, export QT self contained.
Import into Compressor (I'm now referring to v3.5).
Select the 90 minute Best quality DVD preset.
Open frame controls and turn on (click the gear icon). Set Resize filter to Best.
Submit burn and check quality on TV.

On Imac I am not able to send or receive messages. All software is updated. My iPad that uses the same email address and the Cloud, sends and receives just fine. It is not "the colored" thing that is spinning but the little black and white circular icn that is spinning away. My other email address is functioning fine. It is merely the ICLOUD based email that is acting up. Any ideas?
First try deleting the account and reinstall it.

Nothing that requires and Apple ID or a password works, the WIFI, browser adn facebook all still work just the Apple stuff will not work. It repeately ask me to sign in. It works just fine on the desktop I can log in a buy stuff even transfer it to theI pad with a cable. But the I pad acts like it has been isolated by the os upgrade. Any Ideas on how to fix this?????
Try logging out of your Apple ID with the iTunes and App Store at Settings > iTunes and App Store. Select your Apple ID and at the window that appears, select Sign Out. Follow this by signing back in.
Regarding the Outlook password which is the password for the email account you are also accessing with the iPhone's Mail app, try deleting and recreating the account on the iPhone. -
Can't install audio content any idea?

I don't understand this. I installed first audio content in final cut but it is asking put second cd. I did that. But there is only one way to get through is can't eject cd 1 . is i drag n drop this. cd 1 is out but when i put cd 2 in it is canceled automatically. I have to do all over again. Any idea what should i do to install 3 cd's?

halfway through downloading an album from the Itunes store, i've got the error message 8003. This talks about checking my connection (which is fine and always has been). It downloaded fine onto my Iphone and Ipad. I trawled through the support pages and they just suggested you needed the latest version of Itunes on my system (11.1.5) which I've got. Any ideas?
You've tried the troubleshooting for that error on the TS3297 page that you posted from ?

After I deleted some videos and photos, I am having trouble with my camera. The photos I have taken since are blurry, any idea why?
First double click the home button and swipe to close any open apps. Next reset, press and hold the home and power buttons for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. Try taking a photo.

My computer's hard drive went, so i replaced it and installed windows 7, i down loaded itunes and all purchases where there to download except my audio books. Any Ideas?
The difference is that the providers of the audiobooks have not granted a license to Apple to allow redownloading. Unless and until they do, Apple cannot provide that feature.

Video and Audio Mixed Playlist Idea...
Ok guys...would anyone else like the following functionality in iTunes?:
I'd love to set itunes up for a party, and make a playlist that includes BOTH video and audio files (you can already do this....so, cool so far)....
Then, I'd hook my output up to my plasma TV. When itunes is playing an audio track, it would have the visualizer up, when it comes to a video track the video would automatically replace the visualizer...then switch back when it encouters another audio track.
Imagine once you had 100 music videos, or even 50 mixed into your playlists...It would be your own personal video jukebox.
Am I crazy or would anyone else want to be able to "present" their playlists like this?
as a sidenote: i'm quite impressed how well these videos scale when you play them on a television. on my $5k plasma, they look as good as broadcast television, but not as good as HD or DVD, obviously. So, anyone complaining about quality is probably trying to watch them full screen on a 1024X768 or larger monitor....thats to be expected.i was just looking here to see if there was a way to do this for my party tonight.
guess not. a shame
so instead of putting videos in the shuffle, i'll put them in a separate playlist and switch over at some point
