Video synced but no audio

I am using the Nokia C2-03 phone, and I've got recorded videos which I've synced onto the Nokia Suite (vers 3.8.30). They play fine but there is no audio. The audio plays fine on the phone, but has not synced with the video onto the suite. I've looked through the files for the audio but I can't find anything.
Also please mention if there is any alternate way of transfering video files onto my computer (highest quality)
EDIT: Actually I checked the sound on the computers speakers, and there the bars are responding, but I can't hear anything. I put the volume all the way to the top and still nothing.

The problem is with pc audio settings.

Using time remapping w/AE CS4 to freeze time/video freezes but not audio

Ok I do alot of editing of sports. One thing I like to do is freeze the moment when a special play is about to happen, highlight the player (via masking), then resume play. I had no problem with this in CS3. Now when I use the same workflow in CS4 the video freezes but the audio doesn't. So when I play it back I see the video freeze BUT the audio is still playing...hence now my audio is not synced up with the video. Didn't do this in CS3. My workflow: from PP -rightclick clip- replace w/ AE comp- AE loads my clip in a comp- I enable time remapping- extend the duration of the comp by 5 sec- find the point I want to freeze-set a key frame-copy key frame to origninal position- now I have a 2 second freeze between 2 keyframes. When I check the comp in PP the video freezes where I want it to but the audio keeps playing during the freeze....even after render. Thoughts?

I'm also having the same problem with CS4 version. I'm using Mpeg4 file shot on my canon 60d and it's freezing the video in places and continuing the sound. The whole clip is just over 2 mins and I don't have any effects at all.
Does anyone know how to solve this please???

I have a 2011 MacBook Air with the proper configurations and Mountain Lion. I am trying to take an online course. The video plays but no audio. I have tried all the suggested fixes, but nothing works. Everything else works on my computer with no problem. I need help fast. Any ideas or known issues?

Sorry, I read the forum rules . Thanks for the reply, but I haven't actually updated the Nvidia drivers in a while. Right now they are on 311.06. I keep them at the stock clock speed as well. Also have a slightly overclocked i5 2500k. but that never effected Adobe products before.
I wonder, does VLC Player at all affect clip playback? I think I saw there little traffic cone.
Yup. Is PP CC using VLC instead of Quicktime? And/or would that have an effect on playback? Also how would I correct that? I imagine uninstalling VLC would.
Well, I uninstalled VLC, and now the Quicktime logo shows up just before the thumbnail loads instead of the VLC logo. I'm gonna assume that means that PPCC is using quicktime, but I STILL get no video in preview playback!

ATR, just to make sure you understand me, all my video clips in my folders appear as the first frame of the video clip when I view my folders as (small, medium, large)icons instead of lists, when saved as .avi files but when saved as .mp4 files, those icons display as a graphic icon of filmstrip with a musical note on it. I do have various other methods to open with (quick time, windows media, winamp or real player) but prefer real player because I like it's quick and easy trimmer that comes along with it, since so many of my videos are just pet antics where you need to clip off the boring beginning and ends of the video.
I did go on a few of the icons and right clicked, Open With, and tried quick time and also Windows Media and it did nothing as far as how the file was saved for display, and they opened the same no matter which player I used...the actual video opens and plays right at it's first frame... but it's the way it is visually displayed in STORAGE that bugs me because it isn't immediately apparent to me what it is a video of (weddings, outside the house, pet antics)... it makes me have to actually title things and read titles where before I let it just be dates because I had the visual of that first frame as a reference. Obviously, this is a problem for unedited videos only, as anything I actually work with, I do give a title along with the date of the video.
I also just realized this seems to be the way ALL videos that are wrapped in .mp4 are displayed, as my bloggie camera's videos appear the same way. Now I know why! My other videos display as .avi's so I see the frame. Puzzle solved. Guess I'll just have to learn to live with it, as it seems to be how things display with the various formats.
Now I need to watch some tutorials to learn how this Premiere program works! It's all new to me, since this is the first time I've been able load any of my videos onto it. I haven't even been able to figure out how to trim on it yet!

I was having problems with video and audio on certain sites like youtube. I edited some settings in Realplayer and have video now, but no audio.

Went into preferences on Realplayer, Download and recording, then unchecked "Enable Web Downloading and Recording...". That got video going, but no audio still. (Interesting that the list of browsers below that check box did NOT include Firefox.

The music and videos sync to the 4G, but apps & podcast will not. All are checked to sync. During sync, it gets to "determining apps to sync" then immediately goes to "finished syncing". No apps or podcasts from my Mac itunes are on the touch 4G.

You can only sync to one iTunes library but you can manage music and videos among different computer/libraries.
It appears that you are trying to sync with a different library.
- If you want to make the Mac you syncing computer:
--- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by:

--- Restore the iPod from that backup. Note that synced media like apps and music are not in included in the backup.

i recently downloaded a tv show and i started to watch it and the video is fine but the audio skipps.i tryed playing it in quicktime but it does the same thing.

If that does not work then contact the music store if you bought it from there. it may be a issue on there side with a bad file

How to disable video display but allow audio?

Hi,
I have been trying to disable the video display on Adobe Flash player, but I want the audio / sound to play without any video supporting it (playing) such as youtube and any other video supported by Adobe Flash. Is this even possible? It will be very much appreciated if I can do this.

I'm not a hundred percent sure this will work for you since I've never used svideo out on my mac before, but if it works similar to dvi out, then do the following:
1. Set you tv up as extended desktop rather than mirror. This will allow you to set different resolutions on the internal and external monitors.
2. When you want to use the TV for front row, drag the Menu bar from the internal monitor to the external monitor in the monitors system pref. This will make your tv the controlling monitor and front row will play on it.
3. When you finish with front row, drag the menu bar back to the internal monitor.
Again, this works when I have my dvi cable connected to my tv, I'm not sure if a svideo output is treated the same way, though I would think it should be.

No audio with video chat, but can audio chat!

When I video chat, I don't get or receive audio. Neither does the person I'm "chatting" with. I can audio chat with that person... no problem. But the combination video and audio is a bust. And here's the kicker: it's only when I'm chatting with a particular person. With others, the audio and video combo works perfectly. And to top it all off, this person can audio/video chat with others just fine too! Any hints? My OS X and router firewall are both inactive.
My computer:
QT streaming: 1 Mbps cable
OS X firewall: off
Modem: D-Link cable modem (DCM-201)
Router: Belkin 802.11 wireless router (Model # F5D6231-4)
- firewall is off
- not in bridge mode
No iChat add-ons
Connection speed: 4175 Kbps down, 302.3 Kbps up
Will work on getting the other person's info... I know they're on a MacBook Pro as well. Seems more like a bad preference file or something to me as this person is the only one I have trouble with and vice versa. Thanks for any help!

Is the Modem in Bridge mode ?
Or is it doing DHCP ?
What ports are opened in either device ?
Do either have UPnP ?
With those speeds you can set Quicktime to 1.5meg
It will need you to restart iChat to see the new speed.
If devices use NAT you can have problems if the devices at either end do not like the NAT method used (there are about 6)
UPnP will get around this.

Hi, I just convert 1,500 DVDs (concerts, videos and Tv series) into Mp4 using Nero Recode with no problems, everything is perfect when I play, tag, etc. my Mp4 in iTunes, but now Im in the process to covert 300 DVDs movies into Mp4 but when I try to play this new Mp4 into iTunes I have no audio, if I play this Mp4 in Nero showtime, VLC, winamp, etc. I have audio but in iTunes/QuickTime I have no audio

Ok I know whats the problem is:
The first 1,500 DVDs (this Mp4 have no problem) I convert at 2 chanel stereo 448kbps and the seconds 300 DVDs movies (with no audio) I convert in AC3 5.1 at 640kbps
I realize because I rip to my HD one of the movies with no audio and convert in 2 channel stereo and this one have audio
The problem is AC3 5.1... do you have any idea to solve this because I dont want to re-convert again the 300 Mp4 files
Do you think if I purchase QuickTime Pro can solve this problem?
If not, if I recode again I will loose audio and video quality?

Am trying to record in to imovie 9 from mbp. The video works fine, but I get no audio. Checked all settings, system preferences, the internal microphone works in imovie, I can click the microphone icon and get the audio bars for voiceover, but they disappear when I click the camera icon, and I get no audio.
Amazing how Apple can make something that should be so simple in to a one hour troubleshooting exercise in futility.

(1) If QuickTimeX works to record both video and audio correctly, quit all applications. Then throw away your iMovie Preferences file (com.apple.iMovie8.plist) from your Home (user) / Library / Preferences folder.

Rotating video clip but losing audio?

this is my situation:
i took a video clip with my digital camera vertically instead of horizontally. so when everything on my camera was imported to iphoto that video clip was imported as a quicktime video. now im trying to figure out a way to rotate the vertical clip so that i dont have to turn my head 90 degrees everytime i watch it. in trying to figure out how to do that, i found an apple download called MPEG Streamclip. That allows me to rotate the clip however two things happens:
1) the audio is no longer there (the output volume is turned all the way up on the macbook... i promise. i checked at least a dozen times)
2) the video is now cropped weirdly so that the height is equal to the original width of the vertical video.
help? ive never used imovie before or any of these programs... i just want to enjoy my video...

Here are the instructions for using Streamclip.
You need to be sure to Export to DV--that should prreserve your audio. Before you Export to DV from Streamclip, Set the Zoom to 75% to preserve your dimensions.
Here's how to do it. Put the video clip into iMovie. Export the unrotated clip from iMovie to your desktop as a Full Quality Quicktime movie. Open the Quicktime Movie with Streamclip. From the Streamclip file menu, select Export to DV. When you do that, a panel will open up giving you choices to rotate (i.e., 90%CW (clockwise), etc.) Select the rotation you want. Set the zoom to 75%. Then export the .dv to your desktop and drag the rotated clip into your iMovie project. I have rotated several video clips in this fashion. I understand that you can rotate clips with Quicktime Pro, too, but I have never done it that way (because I don't have Quicktime Pro).

AVI Video Working But No Audio

I recorded some live video off of a news site with the software Bandicam (www.bandicam.com) and it records as an AVI file. Whenever I try to edit them in Adobe Premiere Elements 11, the video shows up in the timeline but there is no audio. The audio is either silent or all muffled.
Is there anyway I can fix this problem or will I have to buy video converting software?

When all is said and done, I am guessing that your video compression is MPEG-1, Xvid, or MotionJPEG, wrapped with that .avi file extension. The audio compression is probably either PCM or MPEG1 Layer II audio. I gathered that information from a web site that described the Bandicam software that you say that you are using. It is talked about in some circles as a Fraps alternative. From what I have read about Fraps, its video typically needs conversion to move forward with any type of video editing of it.
Can you confirm whether or not your video can be edited in Windows Live Movie Maker?

Iphone 4 video recording but no audio...

Hi,
I am a long-term user of Apple products and generally know how to trouble-shoot.
But, my iPhone has recently stopped recording audio when recording video when using the Camera App.
All other audio recording (talking on the phone, memo recording etc) is totally fine, so I don't think it's a problem with the microphone.
I have tried to search but am finding the new discussion interface to be totally useless in returning relevant "conversations"...
Anyway, if anyone can offer ideas as to possible issues/problems I'd be most appreciative.

OK...Try this, it just worked for me...
1. Get some headphones and plug em in
2. Play sum tunes on ur phone and ensure you can hear them thru the phones
3. adjust volume and when you see the volume bar, set it to the very middle (just for clarity)
4. Unplug de phones
5. You should see the volume bar jump to the left - adjust it and hey presto!
I figure I managed to mute it by accident, but for some reason the volume bar for the internal speakers and expternal speakers are two different things.
