Video - Television series Downloads

I purchased the Battlestar Galactica series and the are all listed as Season 0. Is there any way to correct this. Makes looking up shows a pain in the butt.

If you are using Mac OS X 10.4 there's a great command-line program called AtomicParsley (http://atomicparsley.sourceforge.net/) because it's command-line it's a little tricky but worth looking into. I've used it on a few short movies myself so that they appear in the TV Shows section in iTunes and on the iPod. The program will change the movie into the TV Show setting.

I don't believe that there's a Graphical User Interface for it so brush up on your Terminal skillz.

As I stated in the title, I purchased an ipad (3rd generation), and I am having trouble with itunes downloads. Mistakenly when I purchased a television series I selected download the entire series to my ipad. Is there a way to stop this download and change the download location to either my laptop or into the cloud?

Did you try tapping on the download to bring up a pause status? You can finish the download on the computer in iTunes. You may be able to delete the download by swiping across the progress bar of the download after you finish the download on the computer.
Launch iTunes on your computer and go to Store>Check for available downloads. Finish the download in iTunes and then try to delete the download from the iPad.

Firefox 24.0 does not update any YouTube page for the download extensions. Video aivalable for download is the 1th opened in the tab and not the video playing.

On YouTube, when more than one video have been played, staying on the same page, videos aivalable for download, by any Firefox Download Extension as Downloader Helper, Flash Video Downloader or 1 Click Video Download, are the format options for the first video opened in the tab, and not format options for the video actually playing.
I have tried resetting Firefox ( Firefox menu : ? \ Troubleshooting Information \ Reset Firefox), and reinstall Videos Downloaders (without Adblock Plus that I normally use), it did not solve the problem.
Temporary Solution :
Refreshing the http://www.youtube.com/... page ( by hitting the round arrow at the right of the adress bar ) allows me to update the download features but it is annoying as it restarts the playback every time I decide to download a video ( so is it having to remember to refresh the page ).
I am surprised it seems no one have experience and solved this problem yet.

What hardware are you on? Flash is always a finicky beast, especially on older hardware. This is not an entirely uncommon problem. Try looking at this [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|support article]] and see if that helps.

Have them install Quicktime on their PC's from Apple's website, that's the easiest fix.

When playing a video I have downloaded from iTunes I get the message "This Movie Cannot be played on this machine"

The weird thing is that I downloaded the film from iTunes and while it was downloading I was watching it with my kids on my IMac. Once it had finished downloading I went with them to the living room Tao carry on watching on our apple tv. The apple TV wouldn't play it and said I needed to authorise my Pc, then the IMac gave the message above and I haven't been able to play it since. All my other downloaded films play. I am running iTunes version 10.2.2. And my iMac is Running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.7. Anyone who can shed some light on this weird situation will have my upmost thanks

I have the same problem. Been trying to find some answers, but not a lot of info about this. It seems to happen only when:
- itunes library is stored remote (NAS or external HD)
- starting a movie/show before download has finished will make it fail next time you try to start
Hope this gets fixed soon.. it's making purchasing content via itunes a hassle

Video not automatically downloading in Photo Dowloader

With my past Canon cameras, including the Canon 880IS, the videos taken with the camera would automatically download with the Photo Downloader of Photoshop Elements 6.0 without any special settings. My new cameras, Canon D10 and Canon 7D, the videos do not download. Is there a special setting I should be using? The first time I tried to download photos and video from the Canon 7D, my catalog crashed with a fatal error and had to be restored because it could not be automatically repaired in the Catalog dialog box. I'm worried to try it again. Are there file size issues that could cause it not to download?

Series Downloads problem

Hi everyone,
I am having trouble downloading a TV series onto my Windows Laptop from itunes.
I have already downloaded 1 episode of the series through iTunes and it wont let me download the remainder of my purchase. It keeps saying that I have not downloaded the first episode, but I have, and then it tries to download the first episode again, with no sign of the other 23.
I have removed the download and tried to start the series download again, but no luck. Does anyone have any ideas?

try this:
in iTunes, access your *purchase history* via your account in the iTunes store,
find the file(s) in question, and click on the *report a problem button*. report the problem.
clicking here should take you directly to your iTunes store log-in window.

Best practice video conversion from download

I am looking for best practice for video conversions.
I am downloading adobe recordings via this method:

From here, I have been converting the FLVs using either freemake video converter or FLV converter. I have tried converting into AVI (XVID), MOV, WMV, etc. (I need the file to be under 600 MB for an hour of recording, therefore it is going to need some type of compression).
My goal is to import the video into Sony Vegas Pro 10 for further editting. I have found that whatever method I use, the video and audio does not sync properly about 50% of the time. The video time is longer than the audio time usually. Or that there are other various errors, such as the video just freezing halfway through the video.
I have been using connect for a few years now, but with each update I find (connect 8, 9, etc), that the problems are getting worse. At this point I am just wasting time trying to convert into various formats using various codecs just trying to luck upon one where the video is at least without error.
What methods are others using to convert the FLV to a workable editable format?

Can't the FLV files be changed into many different formats through Apple's
Compressor or Adobe Media Encoder? These formats can then be opened in
standard video editing software for editing.

Yes, I use this as a last resort, as the quality of capture this was is
signifcatnly lower. As well as it is a much more time consuming process. I
sometimes have over 50 parts of 1 hour video. To use camtasia, you need
first to record it, then it must be saved in a camtasia format, and then
lastly rendered into avi or wmv. Therefore, it is does take awhile.
Really, I feel there shouldnt be so many errors in the conversion process,
but I am finding the FLV recordings themselves have problems. This last
file I am looking at, even the recording playback on adobe connect, has
serious issues with audio and video sync. A problem that is all too common

In the newest firefox - when on youtube watching videos, I no longer see the streaming bar (lighter red) indicating the video has been downloaded. Any ideas why?

I have just upgraded to the latest firefox.
I have a problem streaming videos on youtube. Typically, when you stream a video on youtube, you can see on the "timebar", that the video is being downloaded shown in a lighter red, with the solid red the indicating which of the video you're already at.
However, in the latest version firefox, I longer see the streaming (lighter red) on the timebar, so I have no idea how much it has downloaded/streamed. I have updated my flash etc...but doesn't solve the problem. Can anybody help? Thanks!

There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).

You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" (create this folder when missing) to make Firefox find them again.

Audio not synced with video on movie downloads

The audio is not synced with video on movie downloads from the ITunes store. I have downloaded many movies in the past from the same PC with no problem.

What to do when video rental onshows downloaded and does not play?

I tried to dowbload a video rental on my ipad and can get it to play, when i press the downloaded button it sends me to a "learn about rentals location" I don't think the video has fully downloaded and yet I was charged 4.99 as if the video was rented and downloaded on my ipad. Anything I can do other than contact ipad support?

I seem to be having the same problem, button says downloaded but greyed out and inactive. I think the same thing has happened to me, not fully downloaded. I left it overnight then went to sleep, think iPad may have shut down.
