Video to Blogger. How?
Hi,
Not sure where to ask this, so I've put this in the Tiger forum too. I'm not new to mac but I am new to video. Basically, I have a HDD camcorder with which I've shot a bunch of clips of my new baby son (now 8 months). I would now like to share these videos with friends and family who are scattered across the country, and, in some cases, across the world. I want to do this with photos too, but I seem to be ok with that side of things. I just email them to Blogger.
So, what is the best, easiest, quickest way to get my video clips from the camcorder to the internet (assuming that I have no desire to edit my clips)? As I say, I have set up a Blogger blog for publishing photos to and, this morning, I exported an imovie project clip to the desktop and then uploaded it to Blogger, but this seemed like such a time consuming business (especially considering how much time it took for me to get the movie into iMovie in the first place). So I'm thinking "am I doing it all wrong?".
Should I just skip iMovie out altogether and just drag my video clips from the camcorder to the Finder?
Help. I need some advice.

Hi jt - Alex was actually referring to video clips in iPhoto not appearing in the item "iPhoto Videos" in the Events Library in iMovie - thanks for your post though (the 2 words are very similar).

I am making an iMovie Trailer on my iPad 3 (updated) and I recorded a few clips using my iPad Camera but they are not being detected on the iMovie Videos scetion. How can I make them appear so I can use them in my trailer?

I shot video on a Panasonic P2 and I'm trying to import the MXF files to Final Cut Pro but when I try to import, the only thing that imports is a blurry image of each clip. There's no audio and no video...how can I import MXF files into Final Cut Pro?
at the end, you say "import preferences", which program are you describing?
So im safer using footage that is remotely being pulled from iphoto...
vs
using footage that is imported into FCP from imovie?
Is there anything i can do in fcp to make this footage more reliable or safer or more stable as i pull remotely from iphoto?

I received an email with a video attachment in wmv format. I want to saved it on my iPhone 4S but it doesn't give the option of saving the video attachment. How will I saved the video attachment?
Even so, there is no way to "save" a file anyway. The only way to keep it is to keep the email with it attached. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe there is a way to add a video this way into the Videos app.

Well, when you restore your ipad, there is really no way to get the information back. The reason you restore it i to get all of the information off of it. Why did you restore it if you wanted to keep the info?
Aa far as I know, there is no way to un-restore any device. But, you can put the info back onto the device if it was on your computer, etc.

You should have been sycning them with your computer all along. Sync them from your computer back to the iphone.

OK. Following instructions, I've uninstalled the old Flash Player and installed the right one, and videos are now playing. Thanks for pointing me to the other posts on this site. YouTube and other videos are now playing
Some of the videos still play jerkily (they don't stream evenly). A few stream evenly once they've been allowed to buffer fully. (I think I'm using these terrms correctly.) Is this solely caused by low bandwidth, or is there something—an adjustment of some kind—that I can do with Flash Player to have online videos stream evenly, even from the moment I start them?
As I mentioned, to bypass this uneven streaming while watching online, I download the videos and watch them usually using Quicktime Player 7.6.4. Still, they don't always play evenly, but for the most part do.
I've just tested bandwidth and I'm told:
5.63 Bbps Download speed
0.63 Mbps Upload speep

I've followed instructions with success until "You can then FILE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME and choose Apple Intermediate Codec as your video codec. " How do I do that?
I installed MGEG Streamclip 193b8 and used their utility to install quicktimempeg2 and got a message stating it was successfully installed. (I'm on latest Maverick 10.9.2 on iMac) Then I dragged the VIDEO_TS file from my home DVD into the streamclip app. It asked which of 4 files to use, and I selected the first one. Streamclip played the video with the sound. so far so good. but now I cannot figure how to use quicktime player 10.3 to export this vob file out of streamclip.Thank you for your quick reply and for clearing up my confusion. I'm exporting the first section now. I choose the smallest size, 3x4 but I'd prefer to go higher as this DVD was originally a VHS home movie. I'm wondering if after three conversions (VHS,->DVD->MPEG) the resolution will be so poor as to not support a larger size frame? If it can, what size should I select when I export?

If they were videos taken with the iPad and you made a backup after making them and before deleting them, restore your iPad and install your backup when prompted. If you did not backup before deleting them, they are gone.

My wife and I both have iPhone5 verizon phones. When I take a video, no matter how short or long and iMessage or MMS it to her it comes in very blurry. If I send it via e-mail it is still blurry. If I send it to her fathers Iphone4 it is crystal clear. Clear when sent to any other smart phone too. please help us.
Try using the app Viber, i sent a video from my iphone 5 to my sisters Acer phone via this Viber app and she got the 3minute video perfect. I imagine they will allow as many minutes of a video that ya want to send
