  • .mov files - video too fast, audio ok

    HI!
I have a problem with .mov files. They play and the sound is ok, but video plays too fast and i ahead of audio. I'm sure the video is too fast, because i can see when someone is talking that it's way too fast. I've tried reinstalling quictime, installing older versions, reinstalling direct x and graphics drivers. I even tried quictime alternative. Nothing helps. This happens to files that i have on my disc. And it only happens on my computer, on my brothers it plays just fine, so the files are ok.
    Can anyone help?

  • FCP AVCHD import video too fast, audio off - help please

Recently imported video from my Panasonic AVCHD HDC-SD100 into FCP, first time. I used Log and Transfer and I got all my clips imported. In the Log and Transfer window playback looks great, sounds great, everything fine - but once transferred to my browser my video is super fast making the audio and video out of sync, the audio is normal. I had to slow down my video speed to about 66% in order for it to match up (not perfect, but it works). Anyone have an idea of why my video is importing from Log and Transfer sped up? I would appreciate anyone's feedback. Thanks.

    hi.
Sorry I can't help solving your problem, but you may do mine!
    tecs:
    FCP 5.0.4
    Panasonic HDC-SD100
    mac as seen below
I do not get it done, to import vids at any way.
Log and Transfer window tells me that there's no communication.
but even befor that, I get a error message, saying the FCP can't load the "video-deck" (german! sorry!).
    so anyway....
can you tell me what your settings are? like the exact configuration or the sequenze-, recording- and the device control-settings!!!
I also couldn't figuare-out the difference of the camera-mod (when connecting to the mac) "PC connect" or "AVCHD connect". doesn't seem to make any difference in my case.
So sorry for my spelling (no native!) and for the nubi-questions. but thats what I am...
    Your help would be great!
    Thanks!

  • Flash player 11.3.300.257 plays video too fast

    Hi
I have just updated to the lastest version of flashplayer 11.3.300.257.  Now, all vidoes in youtube and bbc iplayer etc that use flashplayer run very fast and without sound (just like fast forwarding x4).
I am on Windows Vista Business Edition (all updates included)
    Browser is IE9.
I have tried a clean reinstall of flash player a number of times but same issue.
I have cleared caches and deleted all history etc via the advanced section of the software.
I have also removed the hardware acceleration.  Nothing has helped.
However, if i run in "safe mode" it seems to run at the correct speed.  I have uninstalled all recent software updates (such as skype) but still the issue remains.  Is it likely to be a conflict issue?
I have tried to install a previous version of flashplayer from the archives page but get an error message 1722.
    Can anyone help?
    Nigel

For my reference, here's the bug:
https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3217331 - Flash player 11.3.300.257 plays video too fast
In order to get traction on this, they're going to need to be able to reproduce it.
It would be great if you could do two things:
    - Provide direct links to a couple videos that reproduce this problem.
If they're on different sites, and based in the US, even better.  (Geographic restrictions make it hard to troubleshoot.  We can VPN, but that can mask/introduce network and timing problems.)
    - Provide the output of dxdiag.exe
Go to Start > Run > and type "debugdiag" no qoutes, then hit [Enter]
Save the output and attach it to the bug above.

  • [solved] [radeon] HDMI audio stopped working, video too fast

I'm using the `xf86-video-ati` driver, which worked fine up until when I upgraded Arch, after some weeks of not doing so. Now the HDMI audio is silent. Also, when I set the audio to output to HDMI in the GNOME sound menu, videos are playing faster. I tried setting the `radeon.audio=1` kernel commandline, but it didn't help or even change anything.

  • Quicktime plays videos too fast

If I play a video in quicktime and on another player such as VLC side by side the quicktime video is always faster. I estimate it is going about 1.3-1.5x of the speed it is playing in VLC. It also plays regular speed in front row too. What is going on here and how can it be fixed? I have also seen many posts about it going 20x to fast but it is not at all that fast. Also the sound in the movie is also sped up a little too.

I've actually just started having the same problem. Maybe two weeks ago, I was playing an .avi file in Quicktime - about half-way through, it just jumped to double speed (I checked the FPS once this happened, and saw that it went from 24 to 48). Now this problem seems to happen on any type of video played through Quicktime or through iTunes (which I assume use the same "engine"). This includes videos I've purchased or downloaded through iTunes. The weird thing is, sometimes it happens, and sometimes it doesn't. I tried repairing permissions, used Onyx to clean a bunch of things, restarted (yes, I recognize that sometimes it's just that simple), etc. I had Perian installed, but I uninstalled it... all to no avail. Any ideas?

  • AVI file video plays too fast, but audio and noted length correct

I have a one minute AVI file. Premiere correctly says the frame rate is 29.97 and it is 60 seconds long. But when placed in the time line the video plays at about 6x speed and is finished in 10 seconds. The audio keeps playing for the correct 60 seconds. I rendered it and no change. Any ideas?
    Thanks - Bruce

Does Streamclip allow you to choose between Type 1 and Type 2 DV AVI? If so then you want Type 2 in your conversions.

  • Videos play too fast on ipad - sounds like super high speed mini mouse

We just bought the ipad and when we play videos on vimeo or youtube they play at an ultra high speed like the fps is messed up - it sounds like a record being played too fast
Is this our ipad or a setting - we are worried because we do not see the problem listed anywhere else.
    Thanks!

Have your rebooted/restarted your iPad? you do that by pressing the Home and power/sleep button at the same time until the slider to power off the iPad appears. Slide the slider and when screen activity stops depress the two buttons again until the Apple logo appears. When the iPad completes rebooting try again to see if that solved your problem.

  • HDV MPEG2 Video Playback in QuickTime - frame rate too fast!!

    Hello All,
I'm having a very strange problem which just began this past week when I upgraded to QT 7.2 (darn me, I'm a video pro, I should have known better than to do this mid-project!). I am editing a film with HDV content: 1280 x 720 pixels, MPEG2 video (.m2v file type).
I have the MPEG2 plugin for QT.
When I open the file in QT Player, it plays the video almost 2.5 times faster than the audio, increasing the frame rate to do so. For example, if I view the Movie Properties for one particular file, and compare the sound track to the video track, it will claim that that the sound track has a duration of 7:03:24, whereas the video duration has a duration of 2:49:27. When watching the video, it plays it back too fast. When I import the file into Final Cut, the same "sped up" file is viewed.
I think this is a QuickTime specific problem because I downloaded VLC Media Player (which can also open MPEG2 files) and it opened and played the same MPEG2 file perfectly and at the correct speed.
I tried uninstalling and downgrading to QT 7.1.6 (and then re-installed OS 10.4.10) - but the problem still exists. So there must be something else that was installed in this QT update that I haven't been able to figure out that is causing this very weird problem.
I'm at a standstill with my FCP project because all the files it refers to in my sequences use the same QT engine - so all my video files are playing back too fast. Yikes!
Please can anyone help me or provide any insight, I'm happy to try anything or post more info.
    Thank you,
    Catherine
P.S. I'm going to post a similar thread over with the FCP folks to see if they have heard of any similar problems.

Sorry to dig up an old post, but I am having the same problem. Does anybody know a solution, it seems to occur on all MP2 movies, HD or not.

  • Audio too fast on locally streaming content.

I have an Apple TV 2 hard wired to my Airport Extreme and I'm streaming videos from iTunes on my Macbook and on some videos the audio is too fast.  The characters sound high pitched and it goes off sync with the video.  When I made the videos I ran them all through the same preset on handbrake.  When watching them on my MacBook everything is prefect.  But when I use the Apple TV to watch them using Home Sharing (not AirPlay) the audio speeds up.  The funny thing is I re-downloaded one of the videos and re-encoded it and that same video gave me issues again.  So far I'm only seeing the issues with two of the videos, but I'm not sure why it's only an issue when streamed.  I tried AirPlay though iTunes and the same problem.  However if I open it with Quicktime and mirror the display I don't have the problem.
    Thoughts fixes?

how do you play it on the car stereo?
because if it's using the 3.5mm headset connector or even the analog out from the pin30 then it's
100% the same sound output from the phone as it provide a headset

  • Imported video is way too fast!

i'm using iMovie for the first time and I've been noticing all day that the video files I imported seem a little too fast. I compared them to the original videos, and guess what- the sound is sped up too! all the voices are a little too high-pitched and the video is a little too fast. At least the sound is in synch. But everyone sounds a little Chipmunky.
I have no idea what the frame rate for the original video files are, so I don't know how to fix it.
Someone please help! This is driving me nuts!

    Hi honeybadgers
If you click on a clip and bring up the inspector for clip/video/audio, the third section has "Speed" control where you can slow down or speed up the clip.  Slow the speed of the clip and the sound should become right too.
    Good luck
