Video track doesn't shown in Audition for Mac

My version of Audition CC running on PC with Windows 8 works fine and shows me all kind of video file, both on the multitrack editor and on the VIDEO window.
But when I install a version of Audition on my Mac Book Pro I've suddenly had many problems with video.
Nothing shown on the VIDEO window and on video track there was a question mark on it.
If I load .avi format Audition stop working at all and I forced up.
Someone can help me?

Many users have solved the problem by syncing several times; and if that doesn't work, perform a simple restore. Your titles will come back.

What happens when the trial ends? (Audition for Mac)

Might be a silly question - forgive me, I'm a novice.
I just downloaded Audition for Mac - and was surprised that it's free!
And when the public beta trial ends - do you lose all your sessions? are you given first dibs for upgrading to the new paid-for software?
One last one - What can't you do on this version that you can do on Audition 3.0 for Windows?

When the public beta ends, you have to purchase a copy of the release version. You will find that the beta version suddenly won't work any more... and I would imagine that you'll get the same purchase options as everybody else. As for session loss - well you won't lose them if you purchase the software; they'll still open fine.

That's a much more complicated question to answer - simply because we haven't made a definitive list yet, and for non-disclosure reasons I can't say anything more than Adobe has already made public. The one thing that's hacking off a lot of AA3.0 users at present is that it is confirmed that the new version won't write CDs directly, though. Also it's a matter of public knowledge that there will be no MIDI sequencing capability either, but personally I'd have that as a gain, not a loss! For a lot of Mac users though, none of this will be an issue because they never had it in the first place; therefore they can hardly miss it...

Audition for Mac not recording

I have just installed the new Audition for Mac on my iMac which has plenty of memory, is up to date and a good hard drive. I can edit pre-rec material without a problem BUT I cannot record anything from (e.g.) iTunes or YouTube! All I get is a blank edit screen. No error messages - just a request - Do I want to save? I can record OK via the built in mic.
It looks like a conflict somewhere but I've no idea. Input and Output are set to Soundflower 2ch.
Please can anyone help?

I'm not a Mac user so a question for those who are: if you're using dedicated manufacturer drivers, should Core Audio be involved at all? On a PC based system, once you have the manufacturer drivers installed, they bypass the operating system sound drivers--but I'm not sure if Macs work this way.
Also, the early versions of Mavericks (which I believe your 10.8.4) were known to be flakey in terms of audio use. Many pro users were refusing to do the upgrade. Apple have rushed out a bug fix (10.9.1 from memory but check me) and, on the Focusrite page, I note that they have a new driver for the new Mavericks...I'd try upgrading both the OS and the drivers.

Button on video track via subtitles work but not for audio via story

I have a video track with two different audio (two versions of music). I have created two buttons within a subtitle to have them directly on the video
if i make a link to the menu, the button work correctly. But in fact i make a link to two different stories, each with the different audio track
this way it does not work ..
any idea ?

You could use scripts.
Create 2 scripts each with the function "Set System Stream"
and select the "audio streams" which you want to use.
Then add as Startscript to the corresponding story.

Video lag with adobe player 11.2 for Mac

Hello,
There seems to be a problem with the latest release of flash player for Mac. Videos tend to freeze/lag on certain sites (i.e. Cnettv.com and nba.com). I have tried disabling/enabling hardware accleration, but it does not fix the problem. I am able to emulate the problems on two macs. Both of the macs are running 10.7.4. 1@iMac uses an ATI 4670 HD graphics card and 1@mac mini that uses a Nvidia GT320M. I have also tried playing the exact videos from cnet and nba.com on a Macbook Air that is using the intel 3000 HD graphics card. There is no lag on the Macbook Air. I'm guessing is that flash player 11.2 is not working properly with the ATI or Nvidia graphics card? I have tried different browers as well (Chrome, Firefox, Safari), but the problem still occurs. Any suggestions on how the problem can be fixed?

Here some videos that I have problem viewing. They are mostly from Cnet and Nba.com. I have also tried 11.3 beta 3, but the problem still occurs. Please also note that I've encounter this problem with flash player 10.3.

ICloud doesn't sync with Outlook for Mac 2011

There is no way to use iCloud Dav services (contacts and calendars) in Outlook 2011 as Outlook does not support Dav services.
Use a client that supports Dav if you want to use iCloud.

Since IOS 5 iPad video app doesn't display correct art for shared videos.

I like to watch my movies located on my mac computer over my network to my iPad. Ever since I installed IOS 5 on my iPad when browsing shared movies on iPad the artwork doesn't match the movie making it difficult to pick the correct movie. When I select a movie, then the correct movie artwork shows up before selecting play. when clicking back(Shared) button the artwork flips back to the incorrect artwork in the move list. I've tried rebooting my mac, rebooting my iPad. I even restored my iPad with no success. This problem didn't start until I installed IOS 5 on my iPad. Apple can you please fix this!!!!

It doesn't work.. I have already tried many ways to close the app. This is the step by step guide I have to follow every time I want to close the video app:
1. When everything doesn't react - press the lock screen button.
2. press it again (or the home button) and slide the screen to unlock.
3. Now the Application doesn't have any picture. Just a black screen, but sound is still running, and it still doesn't react when I am doing anything. Now this was the tricky part to experience, because now I simply press the home button one time and after 12-15 seconds, the application hides and I am back to home screen. (sound still playing.)
4. Open the task bar and close the app. (Sound is still playing)
5. Press lock screen button. (sound stop playing).
6. Unlock the screen and open the video app again to start over.

Audition for macs will be an upgrade for present users?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but if I want to get the Mac version of Audition will it be priced as an upgrade from Audition 3 for me, or will I have to pay the full price for a new software?

Typically you can't change platforms in an upgrade but I think I remember a post about something like this before. The responder might have stated in the post that you can change platforms but only do it once in a lifetime and you might have to get on the phone with Adobe to do it or use the Customer Support Portal to address the issue via email with Adobe.

Audition for Mac latency using FW-1804

Howdy all,
I used to run AA 1.5 using a PC and a US-428 interface. I've since switched to an iMac and a FW-1804 interface. I've just downloaded the Beta version of Audition, and I'm getting some brutal latency effects. I couldn't fully remember how I got around this on the PC, but I went to Preferences and changed my buffer settings (lowered them) and that seemed to work. However, montoring during recording is the real issue at this point. Lowering the buffer settings got rid of the majority of the lag, but now it sounds like I'm playing through a heavy chorus effect. Is there anything I can do about this?
I have the output settings set to Master (don't know if that helps understand the issue).

Shared albums not shown in Photos for Mac

I upgraded my iPhoto library to Photos yesterday and the main photo content migrated fine. I have two OS X devices - a MacBook Pro and a Mac Mini.
On my MacBook Pro, if I enable the sidebar in Photos, I see:
Photos
Shared
Activity
<Other shared albums - both my own and from another iCloud user>
Albums<Various Albums>
On my Mac Mini, I only see:
Photos
Albums<Various Albums>
So Photos on the Mac Mini is not picking up on existing shared albums. If I go to View | Shared it prompts me to "Start Sharing" (as if I haven't done this before). If I click Start Sharing and then create a test album the sharing dialog just vanishes after I select and email address to share with.
Anybody else seeing this? Any ideas?

Ok. I followed another suggestion and tried restarting the computer. It seemed to bring up the libraries. At first, I saw no pictures from the shared photos as they reported zero photos when they came up. However, leaving it open for a while seemed to bring back more and more of the libraries, and that was only after restarting the computer a 2nd time. I did get almost all my shared photos back, but each time it seems to stop and not bring all the photos back. I'll try restarting another time as it seems to be the big thing here.
The syncing activity in Yosemite seems to have some internal limit, where it stops attempting to grab photos from the stream and/or share, and then Photos only tries looking again after a computer restart, not a restart of the application.

That program is out of date. Use Flip4Mac with QuickTime Player or your web browser instead.

Torch doesn't connect to BB for Mac Software

I tried several of the "quick fixes" I found on this site, including uninstalling PocketMac Sync Manager and the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. I have reinstalled the BB Desktop Manager twice. My Mac is also NOT running on 64-bit, so that isn't a problem either. I really don't understand why when I connect the phone to my computer and type in the phone's password it won't "connect" to the software. It recognizes the phone I have and both disk icons pop up on my desktop. It just won't let me sync anything. Help?

I just went through a pretty lengthy ordeal with my girlfriend regarding this so I felt inclined to sign up and post a reply. Something you may want to check (and something I should have checked first) is that you are using the correct USB cable. She had 2, one for her car charger and one for connecting to her mac/pc. She had accidentally switched the two. One will connect to the computer properly, and the other one won't. Good luck.

Audition for Mac problems since OSX upgrade

Hello,
I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard and I now can't record or playback anything in Audition. Everything seems fine in the Audio hardware preferances window but in the Audio Channel mapping window it says Device query failed.

This may be a known issue that can sometimes occur when upgrading OS X. The quickest solution is to open Finder and navigate to /Library/Preferences/ and delete or rename the file com.apple.audio.AggregateDevices.plist
Launch Audition and OS X should rebuild this file. You may need to configure your audio devices once more in Audition's preferences dialog, but usually this is not necessary. Also note that this file is located in the main /Library folder on your hard drive, NOT the one in your Users folder.
