Video transfer to my toshiba laptop

I am trying to transfer video data from my JVC Camcorder to my Toshiba Satellite L455D-S5976 Laptop.
After contacting the company, they informed me that i require a Link IEEE1394 firewall cable, which
has a 4-pin port at one end (which goes into the camcorder), and a 6-pin port which connects to my
laptop. All that i see i have on my laptop is 2 USB Ports, and a port on the other side of the laptop which
i am unsure what it is. Can anyone help as i am trying to get these videos downloaded onto my laptop
and onto a DVD for a surprise at a wedding.

About the only option available to transfer via firewire to a computer without a firewire port and which doesn't have a PC Card slot is to find a place that sells this cable. If your laptop has a PC Card slot then you can buy a Firewire PC Card, like this one for example.
Other workarounds to get around the no firewire port on laptop problem. If the video camera supports USB see if you can transfer the video that way. Some cameras come with software for transferring/capturing the video via USB. Another option is to buy a USB tuner/video-audio input device/dongle for your laptop and use the composite (video/Left Right audio cables) or coax output from the camera. Hauppauge among others has the USB Live 2 for transferring video from a camera to a PC.

As far as I know your notebook model doesnt have firewire post so you must search for other solution.

Can't watch youtube videos on my new toshiba laptop.

I can't seem to run youtube videos on my toshiba L750/OLN laptop. Everytime I try to run a video, the youtube screen stays black and an error message appears. Also in the right corner, it saids something about Adobe Flash Player not being supported by Toshiba Media control Plug in. Please help, I've tried different browsers and the same problem still exists. I've also tried disabling Media controller and reinstalling adobe, but nothing seems to work at the moment.

You need to transfer the iTunes Library from the most recent backup you made before the hard drive was replaced.
You can't transfer the full iTunes Library from the iPad back to iTunes.
There are third-party Windows applications that will transfer data from an iOS device, but they don't re-create the iTunes Library exactly as it was before.

Video is synced from the computer to the iPhone via iTunes. You need to load the video into iTunes, make sure it is iPhone compatible before you do that, and once it is in iTunes, then sync to the iPhone.
Never said what computer OS you were using. Also, the computer processor, amount of RAM can make a difference with HD video.

Are you doing these transfers over a Network connection, the systems are networked together over your Home LAN? Or are you doing it with an external drive?
If an external drive Mac OS X can READ Windows NTFS formatted drives but can NOT WRITE to them. So you can co[py files to the drive on your Win PC and READ them on the Mac but Mac OS X can not Write to that drive so you can't copy files from Mac to that drive.
For an external drive to work on both systems, be able to Read and Write from/to that drive, it has to be formatted either FAT32 or exFAT.

As far as I know something like this is not possible. HDMI port is for signal output only. You cannot send audio and video signal into your notebook using HDMI port and use internal display for external devices.

Transferring video from laptop to iPad over wi-fi is quite slow. It is much faster to do it with the iPad's USB cable.
If you are transferring videos to a 3rd party video app, follow these steps (wi-fi or cable);
1. Open iTunes on the laptop.
2. Select the iPad in the Devices list in iTunes.
3. Go to the Apps pane for the iPad in iTunes.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the pane and find the video app in the File Sharing list.
5. Press the Add button and then browse to the location of your videos on the laptop.
6. Choose the file(s) that you wish to transfer to the laptop.

I have purchase a Toshiba Laptop Model Number X205-SLi3 back on late 2007 by on 03/12 , 06/20, 11/25/08 and on 4/20/09 this laptop has being at the repair shop, has any one else having trouble this king of problem. I was told I may receive the laptop back some time after may 24, 2009 if they get the parts in. what can I do with this problem, Florida law has the lemon law and this loptop falls in this category. My last toshiba laptop lasted 5 years before it die. I do like toshiba over all, but this one has be thinking in what to do. Need help in what to do!!!

The first time it wend down it wouldn't boot up, and both video card replace. the second time was it was the both video cards, mother board and the screen, The third time they replace the mother board and both video cards. and now it looks like is both video card. one USB port quit working. and the computer wont boot-up and give you the three bips of death. They toll me I may get that maybe by May 24th they will get the video card, The only thing I want from toshiba is to give me back the days that the laptop stay their waiting for repair, on my waranty. Or replace the bloody thing. They told me they can't do anything becouse I send it to a authorice repair depot and not to their repair depot. They know that the laptop has gone to a representative repair depot, since the gave auto repair number.
