Video_TS folder error! can't get a quality burn for my DVD! please Help

I am currently working on a project in DVDSP 3. i have had problems with the computer freezing while trying to burn my DVD. If the computer didnt freeze while burning the Log (while going through the process) would bring up 2 error signs. One was: "The Video_TS folder will not be included in the final disc." And directly after that it would say: "the VOB_DATA.LAY file will not be included in the final disc. The burn was successful but when i viewed it the quality of the image was fuzzy and not up to par with previous burns.
I found out i had a bad hard-drive. So i replaced it. re-formatted my hard-drive and re-installed all my applications (i.e FCP, DVDSP). I re-compressed all my movies and re-created the entire DVD menu. But the problem still persists!
Please HELP!

When i am about to burn my project should i choose simply "burn" or "build/format" ?
Either one will create a folder on your harddrive with the TS Folders AND burn.
These warnings signify nothing. They're just to inform you that the certain files used by DVDSP to "contact" your initial build folder won't be included in your TS folders.
I can't figure out why Apple states these warnings - they do nothing but scare people

You should still have your profile folder, so when you install 3. you will get your bookmarks and other user data back.

iDVD - don't care about GBs - ONLY - Time = Movie + Menus - as follows
iDVD 08, 09 & 11 has three levels of qualities. (version 7.0.1, 7,0.4 & 7.1.1) and iDVD 6 has the two last ones
• Professional Quality
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - BEST (but not always for short movies e.g. up to 45 minutes in total)
• Best Performances
(movies + menus less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD (Can be best for short movies)
• High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6)
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above
Menu can take 15 minutes or even more - I use a very simple one with no audio or animation like ”Brushed Metal” in old Themes.
About double on DL DVDs.
If You NEED to put in more than 120 minutes onto a SL DVD - Then I would use Roxio Toast™ as this can squees in between 7 to 10 hours onto this - BUT AT A BARELY USABLY QUALITY.
VHS tapes recorded in EP- mode will look brilliant in comparision
Just as info:
SP = 240 minutes on a standard VHS tape
LP = 480 minutes
EP = 720 or more ?

3G and cellular are different ways of referring to the same thing, they can use the mobile networks for data. The cellular/3G models are £100 more than the wifi-only version.
The 3rd gen iPad uses a micro-sim card, the Mini iPads use smaller nano-sim cards, so you won't ba able to use the same sim card.

If your iPhone 4s was backed up to iCloud or using iTunes, you can restore the backed up data to your new phone.

Here is what I did...
In spotlight I typed "mail", I opened up a "message", and it opened. I looked on my desktop and there was an "iMail" icon that was not there before. I was then able to access the mail normally as i would with Leopard. I deleted the old shortcut on my desktop and placed the new icon in the lower toolbar.
Worked as good as new..

I thought I was computer savvy and told a friend at work that has an issue with her internet that I could fix it. I am having more trouble than I thought. She told me it was a Windows 7 and it is a Dell Windows XP Professional service pack 3. I am not

She told me that she had uninstalled some programs she felt were slowing her computer down and now her wireless is not working the light is not on, the switch is on but when I go into network adapters all there is, is a 1394 Net Adapter and a Broadcom NetXtreme
and it acts like it needs a cable plugged in to get online when she has never had to use a cable before. I can not find anywhere where there is wireless settings or anything.
Someone please help, this lady is super nice and I would hate to let her down. I have the computer here with me now and if anyone could help I would appreciate is so much

Applet is running in simulator but can't get on the real card.. PLEASE HELP

I have been able to run my applet succesfully in a simulator, and it tested okay. My problem is that I can't get the sap or cap fil on my real card (gp211pkis)... I have read that it could be becaurse I need to specify a security domain AID...

I'm doing a presentation and I was wondering if it was possible to get Microsoft Powerpoint on iPad 2? If not, Keynote is like Powerpoint, right? If it is, can you put pictures and photos on to Keynote that are saved on your Mac? Like, insert photos saved on your Mac into a slide?

Ok so right now i have a airport express, and i bought a xbox 360. I want a wired connection for my xbox 360, so the guy at bestbuy said to buy a dlink EBR-2310 switch so i would still have a wireless connection for all the laptops, phone, etc in my house, and still get a wired connection for my xbox from the switch.
How can i make this setup work?
Modem -> Dlink EBR-2310 Switch -> Airport Express
I tryed connecting it all but i cant load a single web page on anything connected to the airport express which is a big problem. PLEASE HELP I CANT RETURN THE SWITCH, THANKS.

Unfortunately the advice you got was not correct. The issue is that the modem is only expecting a single device to be connected to it. By connecting a Ethernet switch directly to the modem, the modem will provide an IP address to the first device it "finds." That means all other devices will not gain access.
What you needed to connect to the modem was a router with a built-in Ethernet switch, like the AirPort Extreme or similar router.

Can't get audio to work for HD DVD

Anyone have any insight into what audio enoding works for HD DVD? I've tried both aiff and ac-3 to go along with MPEG2 video and my Toshiba HD A2 won't play back sound from either type. Help!

I have used both on the Toshiba A2. I assume the build file had sound when you tested it in the Apple DVD Player?
I have not played with the audio settings much on the Toshiba, do not know if there is a setting there that can change things.
I can take a look and run some tests to see if I can get it happening. Also if you like I can put together a small project to see if you can also get it to run.

"she had uninstalled some programs she felt were slowing her computer down" - Trouble indicator number one. She has likely removed files that were required for the operation of the card. Hopefully they were just drivers and not system files.
What I would do it physically removed the wireless card and then restart the PC. If there is any programs related directly to the wireless card listed under Add and Remove Programs, I would uninstall them and then restart again. Download the
drivers for the card if you do not have them and then power off. Reinstall the card and power back on and follow the standard procedure for installing the card as if it were brand new. Hopefully it will start working again.

How can i get high quality slideshowpix on my DvD?

I tried to make my own video montage using Slideshow of iPhoto, applied Kern Burn effects and Transitions, everything was absolutely fine until imported my project to iDvD and burn my Project on DvD, the quality wasn't as excellent as i expected it to be, i set everything in Encoding as Best Quality, still nothing's happened.
Is there anything that can be done to improve the quality of my DvDs?

Any slideshow created in iPhoto and ported (shared) to iDVD will not have as sharp an image quality as those created in iDVD from the stills. That's irrespective of whether you use the KB effect or not. The slideshow gets converted to a Quicktime movie and then in iDVD it's encoded for a second manipulation of the image file. Created in iDVD the stills go thru only one process, the encoding by iDVD.
That being said, you might give a look at Photo to Movie. It's reported to produce better results with the KB effects and general conversion to Quicktime. It also can add text and music. Might be worth playing with the demo version.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

As you can see, I have tried to use Base64 encoder, but that didn't work either. I got ArrayIndexOutOfBounds exception with that. But now I get IllegalBlockSizeException. Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

The key is to use base64 encoding, but I didn't know that the class sun.misc.BASE64Encoder and sun.misc.BASE64Decoder comes with regular JDK.
