Video TS issue/eDVD Help!!!

On recommendation I am attempting to use eDVD in order to make a web link in my encore dvd. I create a video TS folder then open eDVD and select the Video TS folder as my selection. It then gives me an "error parsing automatically generated video xml desciption file" message and I am left with a blank file in eDVD. I know this isn't an eDVD forum but I was directed towards it from these forums and I assume I am doing something wrong in Encore when I generate my Video_TS.
I have looked through the help section and eDVD website and found nothing.
Any help?

Valentina is most likely correct. In order for eDVD to parse your titles and chapters, you need to have functional playback of DVDs on your system through interActual player. So, try to play a DVD in IA Player and it if does not work on your system, that is the culprit.
What then? IA Player tech support to troubleshoot your issue. could be you have multiple decoders on your system and IA Player is getting confused.
FYI - there is a manual mode in eDVD for precisely this reason. Burn a disc of your project, place it into a DVD player and click through to your dummy chapters (those that will launch your web sites and enhanced content). Jot down which title/chapter sets should launch which content and then open eDVD, choose to create a project without a video_ts folder, and manually type in the title/chapter pairs. use the + button at the top of the interface to add rows. Associate enhanced content with the title/chapter pairs you added and then build your project. You won't be able to preview your project in eDVD, but you should be able to take the eDVD image and burn it with your video_ts and then check it on another computer where IA Player does function properly.

I have been using Dreamweaver CS3 for a few months but I can't seem to figure out my problem and was hoping someone here with much more wisdom could please help me.
I am creating a local site, just for use on my personal computer, to better organize my computer as well as my life.
I am trying to link some videoes I have on my computer so that when I click on them they will open in my default media player (VLC), however I seem to only be able to get them to open on another webpage.
ie. I click on my morning workout video and instead of it opening in VLC player my site goes to a new page that plays the video there (with no controls). Is there a way I can get my video player to open the local file instead of it being sent to a new page? The files are in .avi, .mp4, .mp3, .flv, .mpeg format.
I know I could simply find all the files individually when I want to watch them but that would defeat the purpose of creating this site to organize my computer.
This issue is driving me crazy. I would really appreciate any and all help! Thank you!

NEW IPOD VIDEO/ ITUNES ISSUES. HELP!!

OK here is my problem. I recently recieved my IPOD Video. Attempted to sync with PC... everything ok. Then tried to sync w/ ITunes... Big problem apparently I need to format all my songs to a new AAC?? Not even sure what that means. Any suggestions? I called Apple and they said I would have to do this everytime I copied a cd to my ipod. Is that correct? If so, the IPod Video will be sent back. There has to be an easier way. Please help!

That's not necessarily true. The don't NEED to be in AAC. They just need to be in a format that the iPod can play.
There are several formats you can use.
They are:
AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Music Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3 and 4), Apple Lossless, WAV, AIFF

am using a Dell XPS GEN 5 PC with Windows Vista Premium Edition as the current OS installed. I have latested up date for Itunes and QuickTime (7.1.6) Installed. I have recently bought and downloaded 3 of the Original Star Trek Tv Shows from Itunes. When I try and play one of them, they don't work. The Screen comes up, the show starts, then stops. Sometimes the sound keeps on playing, and then stops. Sometimes it just dosent even come on. I'm guessing (as a highly advanced Windows PC User) That this ia a "video/playback issue, related to a Apple/Vista Compatibility problem. I would like help solving this problem.

my computer has a right proper meltdown, switching itself off and restarting to a "Windows has recovered from a serious error" sort of message.
good lord. are you getting any sort of blue screen? if so, what numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)

1) Open your system control panel (Start->Control Panels->System).
2) Select the "Advanced" tab.
3) Click the "Startup and Recover" section's "Settings" button
4) Verify that under "System Failure" the "Automatically restart" checkbox is not checked.

Do you have a SATA hard drive? I have the same problem you describe when trying to play videos in iTunes. Do the previews of music videos on the iTunes web site play OK? If they do you probably have the same problem with SATA HD and iTunes incompatibility. Not sure who is going to fix that problem and when. I have found one fix that worked for me. Copy your video(s) to a flash drive and then play them from there. It's a workaround and you shouldn't have to do it but it does allow you to watch the videos.

Video playback issues in Air for Android

Hello everybody
I am developing an advertisement application which plays multiple videos. I have faced a very strange problem: nor the simple Video nor the StageVideo are not visible when I run the app on target android device. I can hear the audio but the only way to get the video is to press back button and then get back to app but in this case the video goes over the UI. This happens only on a target device which is a chinese sibo android tablet. It has android 4.1 on board. I have seen a lot of people had the similar issues:

but the solution mentioned there - adding <containsVideo>true</containsVideo> to the manifest xml doesnt help
I am using adobe air 4.0 sdk and the air 4.0 runtime on the device. I have tried to change renderMode to CPU/Direct/Auto but it doesn change anything.
The other three android devices I have - toshiba thrive tablet(4.0.4)/ eken tablet(4.2.2)/ htc desire c(4.0.3) play all the video content without any problem.
Any advice will be highly appreciated,

Video Message Issue

Hello, guys! I have a bit of an issue with the new video message feature of Skype. That is, the option to send a video message is grayed out on every contact I have on Skype, but my friends can send me video messages and I can view them without any problems.
Skype version: 6.21.59.104 (searching for updates yields me that I have the latest version of Skype)
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 (100% legal)
Camera: Turbo-X 1080P Full HD with built-in microphone (functions perfectly during video calls)
Internet Speed: Average of 100Mbps if I remember correctly. Fairly fast and functional 100% of the time (I don't know if it is relevant)
Note: I have no Facebook or Live contacts on my contact list. I do not log in as Invisible. Some of my friends do, but the option is grayed out for everyone, not just those that are Invisible. The only personal modification I have done for Skype is to block the advertisments by blocking access to apps.skype.com through my Control Panel.

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool (32-bit option).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, either get a sim card from the carrier your phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked

Video Related, somewhat..HELP!

I have a Lacie 500GB external (WAIT, just read) which I use to back up all my previous video work and some working files for current video projects. The drive will not produce on icon on any of my Macs at work or at home.
Order new power supply, no luck. When plugged it, it spins sounds nice, but no icon, no light.
Here's my question: Can I pop out the Maxtors from the Lacie and put them in my G5? and am I putting the G5 at risk if these are bad drives? There's 2 250GB Maxtor Maxline Plus II's
Time sensitive issue, any help is appreciated

To answer your question, if the internal drives within the LaCie were SATA, then you could just pop them into your G5, but in all likelihood, they're PATA IDE. But take heart - I've resurrected drives just like yours with a simple USB interface like this:

Swf won't load on web but ok locally (believe only video playback issue)

Hi all,
I am very new to flash....literally first day into it.
I converted a mov into flv and imported the flv with playback component. When I publish, I am able to see both (via the swf and the html) from my browser. Once I uploaded the swf and html onto my webserver (both files are stored in the same folder just like how I had it locally), the swf won't display the video.
Now, I have a button (when clicked, it skips the playback and go directly to the site) and the button works fine. So, I think it is only limited to the video playback.
Any help appreciated.

The only minor issue that I need to fix and not sure how yet:
-it stops during the initial playback (I guess my flv is a little large 4mb and I might have to optimize it to a smaller file)
-it didn't center itself when I drag the browser larger/smaller
Now that it works, I want to see if I could optimize it. Wandering if there is a "BETTER/EASIER" way to take me to a url at the end of the video playback.
What I did in here:
I created a cuepoint at 23 second (that's the end of the video) and it will take me to a url (here: adobe.com). Below is the actionscript I had in there (using code snipper) [One is for "Skip Intro" that will bring me to cnn.com; and the other one is the cuepoint that will take me to adobe.com):

OS X 10.8 video playback issues

since upgrading to OS X 10.8 I have several video playback issues.
I have a lot of videos ripped to my Drobo NAS, connected bij FW 800 to my MacMini (4 GB, 2009). Until recently, playback was smooth, either with VLC or DVD Player.
Since upgrading to OS X 10.8, DVD Player is not playing VIDEO_TS folders anymore, all I get is a chequered screen. This is also happening on my MacBookPro and my iMac i7, so this is not a specific hardware issue.
After upgrading to OS X 10.8.2, videos are playing back jerky and audio is out of sync in VLC and QuickTime.
Since I have 10,000+ videos in my library, this is absolutely unacceptable
I tried reinstalling OS 10.8, and trashing the prefs, but to no avail.
please help.

Video Card issues in WinXP - Left 4 Dead

Just wanted to see if anyone was having issues like I'm seeing in these two pics.
This first pics shows what appear to be polygon regions appearing out of no where.

Usually when I start playing everything is fine but after a 20min or so they will start to appear. Changing some video settings in the game (such as anti-aliasing or resolution) will usually make them disappear for a few minutes but they will then re-appear. My best guess is that this is due to the video card overheating as it doesn't happen right away, but that's just a guess. I tried installing 'speedfan' to increase the fan speed but it does not seem able to control the speed on the video card.
Also, I only have the drivers that have come with the bootcamp installation. On the forums it seems that it is recommended not to install other versions of the drivers so I have not at this point.
I'm running bootcamp (windows xp 32bit) on my MacPro 10.5.5 / 4GB ram (quad core Xenon) with the ATI-X1900. I have the latest 2.1 bootcamp installed. The game runs perfectly beyond these issues, although I do get the occasional stutter or audio repeat.
I don't have any of these issues on TF2.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a possible solution? or does anyone know of a way to control the fan speeds in Windows? In OSX I use smcFanControl to keep the machine a little cooler.
PS. I also heard that some of the ATI-X1900 cards had issues. Can anyone confirm this? If this is the case, can anyone recommend another card for my MacPro? I do occasionally get video card issues in OSX too while doing 3d work.

Upon inspection of the card it is totally loaded with dust. I found this article:

which discusses many issues as well with the X1900 and Leopard. I first started seeing issues with the card during my 3d work after I installed Leopard.
I'm off to the computer store to pick up some compressed air to try to clean that vent now. I already use smcFanControl already, before using it I was getting card errors every day.

Audio Sync issues - PLEASE help

I have created many videos in iMovie '09. I have used the HD setting for them, 1280x720 even though they were shot in SD format. I have uploaded them to YouTube and they all view just fine. They all viewed just fine in Quicktime version 7.6.6, as well.
I have been doing this for years now, since at least 2009, and all video/audio has worked flawlessly together.
My most recent problem (past few months) has been that I am now running Mac OS X version 10.6.8. My iTunes is 10.4 and my Quicktime is now 10.0
And now my audio and video WILL NOT SYNC.
I need help very badly because I have a presentation on Saturday and I need to load a bunch of videos (in the same viewer window) and have those videos play in a loop, one right after the other, while I'm talking to prospective clients.
I put these same movies into Quicktime Player 7 version 7.6.6 and they play just fine, still - I just tested this on my imac and my macbook.
I need these videos to play in my iTunes, but the audio/video sync issues have ruined my video play.
Can someone PLEASE help me remedy this situation. I would be forever grateful. I have casually searched for an answer, repeatedly but I need to remedy this by Friday night.

What format are you using in iTunes to play them back? Are these the exact same files as the one, you are playing back in Quicktime 7?

Video Access Issue: Error 5062

Received "Video Access Issue: Error 5062" on all of my devices(Ipad, Iphone, Laptop). Wont let me sign in or stream anything. Struggling as it is a major outlet for my 8 yr old Autistic Son!! Please help ASAP!
